Chemistry. The most dangerous class to have early in the morning in my opinion. We have a lot of dozers in this class, including Hunter. Yeah, Hunter's a dozer, bet you weren't too surprised. So the set up is a usual, chemistry lab. You have your cabinets on the wall which hold your beakers, and other fancy glassware. The tables are spread out through the huge room. A big window stretched from the whole left wall. The sun was shining bright, which reflected off of the black tables that could seat four people. Hunter and I joined the middle table, where our good buddy, Yuki was sitting.

Yuki is a real looker. She has lovely black hair, brown eyes, and lovely black glasses that give her a professional look. She is half Japanese, half American. She is a big dork when it comes to two things, science and comics. She is a bigggg superhero comic reader fan. She reads into the Marvel comics, and DC too. She also has a really good memory, and acts like a mom in our group.

"Hey Yuki." Hunter said as he sat down. "How's it going?" Yuki adjusted her glasses.

"Things are going well." She Said professionally, "I see you are wearing your Bayonetta sweatshirt..you know that game came out in 2009?"

"Yeah, I do."

"Can't I come and watch your live stream?"

"Sure Yuki, it'll be fun." I said. She clapped her hands in content.

"Zina! Amari Emerson is here." I looked around back and forth, but I didn't see him.

"Gotcha." Dammit I fell for another one of her pranks. She really loves toying with me. Alright so everything is going well, and the bell rung a few minutes ago. Mr. Rolly clapped his hands to get our attention.

"Class, this is not social hour, find your seats." Everyone scattered across the room looking for spare spots. As I sat there, with Yuki, Hunter bent down to tie his shoes. When this boy bends down to tie his shoes, he misses the good stuff. A second later, I was tapped on the shoulder. I turned around to see none other than Cameron Roy, right near my face. Helloooo, personal space anyone? His messy blonde hair and smirk give me the creeps. I swear, sometimes that face makes me think he is a pedophile.

"Is this seat empty?" Cameron asked. He was pointing to the chair in between me and Yuki.

I answered, "Yes, and this one will be if you sit down." I felt something hit my nose with a lot of power.

"Owwww!" I exclaimed. I clenched my nose in pain.

"That's rude, Zina," Yuki barked, "You can sit here Cameron, sorry for her behavior."

"Uh, thanks," Cameron said nonchantly. He sat down beside me and Yuki and gave me a smile. Note I am still holding my nose because Yuki flicked me really hard. Hunter immediately comes up from under the table. That boy just finished tying his shoes.

"What'd I miss?" He asked. I think he got the idea when he saw me holding my nose, and Cameron sitting next to me and Yuki. He started to giggle.

"Not. One. Word." I rasp.

Class began, but I couldn't really focus because of Cameron Roy. So, you must be wondering why I hate him like the plague? Well, sometimes in life you just hate someone just because, and there's no good reason. That's life. You must have been looking for a 'Oh, he's such a git and a womanizer, he's too much'. Well, I also don't like him because of that. That little context gives me a reason to hate this guy. Originally, I just hated him because I hated him; without a good reason. It is reason, that gives us an excuse to hate on people; period.

I tend to not really pay attention during Chemistry. It's all a bunch of numbers, you could literally call it math, part two. Yuki is very into this stuff, so I always come to her when I need help. Heh, I must be booorrriing you with all the details. Well, fine, let's get my story moving!

"Class is dismissed."

"Wha?"

"Um, Zina...you're drooling." Cameron chuckled awkwardly as he stood up. I quickly wipe the saliva from my chin and give him a glare.

"Whatever," I growl. I grab my supplies off the table and storm out of the chem lab. Cameron has his hand up in the air.

"Good talking to...you." He says rather awkwardly.

I don't care that I made it awkward. I don't care. Hunter and Yuki were right outside of the class, a little further down the hallway. I catch up to them as I overhear their conversation.

"Did I hear you correctly?" I asked, entering the convo.

Hunter laughs hysterically, "Aw Yeah, Mr. Xander gave them detention for running into class a second late, running in the hallways while piggybacking."

"Who?" Yuki says cocking her head to the side.

"He's talking about Nina and Carter," I clarify, "They were last seen piggybacking in the hallways, running to escape the bell's yell." I placed the back of my left hand on my forehead for dramatic effect. Yuki giggled. A moment later she took a sharp turn to the second floor. She has math class on the second floor. She basically has a schedule of Chemistry(Math 2), Algebra, Biology elective, English, French, and that's about it. I'm getting ahead of myself. Hunter had to go up the stairs too, so he rushed to catch up with Yuki.

Yes, I'm alone. By myself walking through a swarm of people. I freeze when I can no longer see. Who the heck turned out the lights? Kano.

"Art can not truly be comprehended without acknowledging the other senses." Kano could be a poet if he wanted to. He always puts his sentences into beautiful words, that sound like a scroll. Kano has red eyes and well, he is color blind when it comes to the color white. The irony though is that he is wearing a white polo shirt with blue jeans that are covered in paint splatters. He uncovers my eyes so I can turn around and see.

"Hey."

"How are you?" Kano asks.

"I'm fine, we need to get to the art studio."

"Right you are," Kano agrees, "It would be so unfortunate to have our departure result in an arrival of tardiness." If your wondering why he talks like this, you're not going to find an off switch. He's just a natural gentleman, a sweetheart. Unlike, Cameron Roy, Kano isn't forcefully showing off his gentleman side, and not trying to woo anyone with his charm. And yet another excuse to hate on Cameron Roy.

The art studio is a long walk. It is all the way in the back of the school, but that's the best part; the garden. The garden is in the back of the school; a good view comes from the art studio. Probably one of the many reasons for Ms. Lila, the art teacher, to have her studio here.

"Inspiration, in its blossoming glory," Kano commented. Yeah, sometimes I have no idea what he means half of the time. Well, I know he's a botanist, his family owns a well known, flower shop; not far from here. It's called Blooms and Blossoms. It's got a variety of wonderful plants.

Kano and I sat down near the windows. We love getting a view of the lovely garden. A couple of classmates sat at our table, while others scattered to the other four big tables. The art room was huge. It had shelves filled with the necessary materials for art.

"Perhaps, the lovely rose wouldn't wither without a little love." Kano chuckled. Okay, I understood that one completely. I'm the lovely rose, and I won't wither because the little love is Amari Emerson. He had just entered the room and sat at a table with a bunch of girls. They kept chuckling to one another. Kano giggled as I stared over in his direction. I lightly elbowed Kano in the arm. You clever little fucker, you didn't think you can get away with this one, did you?

"Quiet class," Ms. Lila announced. She waited when the people stopped talking to continue.

"Continue on with your art projects today." She said happily, "Remember, What inspires you?" She walked away to her desk. That's when the social butterflies began to gossip. Yes, the gossip is what these lousy teenagers do. I am one of these teens but that doesn't mean, I'm like them. Far from them. I don't pay attention to them, but Kano does. Kano is approached by his well known acquaintance, Germaine. Her little black pigtails swung back and forth as she trotted towards Kano. I couldn't hear what she whispered to Kano, but I bet it can't be any good. She's part of the big group that surrounds Amari Emerson, which gossips and spreads rumors a lot.

"What'd she tell you?" I said as I drew in my sketchbook. Kano was doing a beautiful botany collage and didn't answer me for a moment. Ha bet it takes him awhile to make those flowery sentences he's always spewing.

"How would I know?" He questioned, "I have meager bits and scraps, of what you seek, therefore I must meet with her after this class. The likelihood of it being to your liking is nine to one, so please do have faith in what I hear."

"Okay, Okay." I sigh, "Guess what?"

"What is it that you of many want?"

"It's a message."

"A message to whom? Am I to be the dove and the olive tree to Noah's Ark?"

"Shakespeare wants you back." I joke. Kano just chuckles along with me. Kano's cool that way, he likes to laugh with people, not at people.  And as the saying goes "Time flies by when you're having fun." The bell rang shortly after we stopped laughing. We must have been joking around longer than we thought. I gathered my books and exited the art studio. Kano needed to talk to this Germaine alone. What the hell, does she want with him? Germaine, I don't exactly know her very well, but I have seen her talking to Kano a couple of times. Who knows what she wants? I don't.

Now as I walk into the hallway, I am jumped. Don't take it the way of, "I was mugged". No, seriously, someone just jumped on my back. I struggled to keep my balance as I walked towards the left flight of stairs. That's where English class would be. Yes, I am walking like nothing just happened because I am used to it by now.

Carlos, just loves to mess around, and trust me, he's not that mischievous as Hunter or Aria combined. If you were to put him in a room with Aria and Hunter, it would be triple trouble. Trust me. I learned from experience. When those three get really into it, they'll mess with Yuki, and when you mess with the "mother" of the group, you get your ass handed to you.

The rest of my classes feel like they went by fast. Yet, not fast enough, my story's going too slow. Heck, history class was going Uber slow today. I mean, first of all, who likes to talk to themselves all day? Well, that's Mr. Hickery for ya.

"Zzzz."

"Miss Leroy, What have I told you about sleeping?"

"Wuh?" She yawned. "Wake me for my computers class." Don sat behind her; he sighed and pinched her arm. I'm sitting next to Don, so the formation is kind of like an L. Germaine was in the back whispering to one of her friends with long straight black hair. They were cackling, so I can only assume that were making fun of her. The teacher eyed Camille for a moment and continued his lecture.

"Now then," Mr. Hickery said, "Who can tell me about the Renaissance?" Camille was rubbing her arm, the one Don pinched. Camille Leroy is her full name, she's French and she is fluent in French. She's one of my buddies, the fanfict writer, and computers savvy one. She is very comedic and will always try one liners, she's also a raging superhero dork like Yuki. So those two get along well. As for Don Kahale, well, he's an interesting guy. He's half Hawaiian and half Native American, and just transferred to this school about a week before Cameron Roy. He's part of our group and as for where he specializes, he loves to cook. That's his passion. Also very cultural, and loves to make all kinds of stuff.

So, a media gal(Aria Sirvaski), a film smarty(Carter Santose), a fashion expert(Nina Eros), Video Gamer(Hunter Riflos), Chemist(Yuki Hamasaki), botanist-Artist(Kano Soto), Comedic-skit theater guy(Carlos Anto), Fanfict-computer database(Camille Leroy), Food specialist(Don Kahale), and me. We all have areas we specialize in, but since we all seem to have different passions, we can all get behind these subjects.

"Zina, sweetie, you haven't eaten any of your lunch." Yuki comments. I snap out of my haze. I totally forgot I'm at the table with my friends right now. Yuki's sitting across from me, and sitting on Yuki's left is Carlos, and Camille is sitting next to Carlos. Don sits by the other end of the table in between Camille and Kano. Carter sits next to Kano, while Hunter sits next to me on my left. On my right we have Aria then Nina. That's our little table set up.

Yuki snaps her fingers til she gets everyone's intention. Kano is always the first to pay attention, I think it's because of how pale Yuki is, that probably means he sees light grey instead of white.

"Alright, everyone, now that I have your attention." Yuki voices. "Don, you're coming to Zina's house with us today, right?"

"I don't know," Don admits, "I'm not supposed to stay up late on the weekdays."

"You know today's Friday, right?" Yuki questioned.

"Oh, it is?" Camille nodded in response.

"Okay, I'll go."

"Now that that's settled, make sure y'all make it on time. Zina, especially you, I know how you get tardy all the time, darling." I held my chin high and crossed my arms. I'm being dramatic.

"Yeah, I know." I utter, "I won't be late for this, it's my own house y'know?" Hunter shrugged his shoulders.

"She got you there." Carter pointed out. Yuki rolled her eyes.

"Anyone got any tea to spill?" Camille asks. Kano was about to open his mouth when Carlos began chattering.

"Okay, so I saw Jerome walking around with his fly down right?" Carlos began. Carter's eyes grew wide. Usually, when Carter's eyes grow wide, that means he knows about it, but knows that it's bad.

"So then, I notice that he's got a motherfucking-"

"And that's enough out of you!" Yuki announced, as her face turned pink. I couldn't help but chuckle at her.

"Anything not so, obscene?" Camille cackled. Yuki rolled her eyes in frustration.

"Precisely, though, only for but one to hear, which I must uphold my pact." Kano spoke. Everyone turned to him.

"What's the tea?" Nina questioned.

"That is not for I but Zina to ask," He reasons, "She queried to get the intelligence as fast as a cheetah."

"Zina," Aria crowed, "What are you having him, not tell us." Wow, thanks a lot Kano. I didn't say not tell them. Oh, I get it, I wanted to know, and he's trying to respect that I asked first.

"Go ahead, I don't know what you know Kano."

"The rose will fear not wither, because one's embers of passion will be restored." Kano said happily, like a fan girl. "On the rooftops of the school, where none should enter. The journey will be finished, aren't you happy, Zina?" Like I Said, I don't understand half of the stuff he says. This time, most of us were looking at him blankly, we either didn't quite catch it, didn't understand it, or something in between. Camille waved her hand in the air.

"I-"

"Yuki Hamasaki!" Shouted Mr. Rolly shouted. Yuki turned behind her to see the teacher towering over her.

"What is it, Mr. Rolly?" She asked casually. This pissed him off more.

"Young lady, don't try to play dumb with me!"

"What'd I do?!"

"You know what you did," he blurted, "You made a mess in my chemistry lab!"
"I'm sorry, what?!" She gasped. "I haven't been in the lab since, this morning." I got up out from my chair, and went to Kano. He told me what, Germaine told him. I was shocked. Shocked to my very being, but I couldn't let that show on my face, or Mr. Rolly would get suspicious. In order, to contain my excitement I walked out of the cafeteria. Don and Camille gave Kano a weird look. He just shrugged it off.

"Mr. Rolly, I have witnesses. Hunter and Zina were with me during that time, right Hunter?"

"Yeah, she didn't make a mess, I was with her when she left the classroom." Hunter responded. "Zina and Cameron didn't see Yuki come back in or do anything. Ain't that right, Zina?" Everyone looked at the empty seat where Zina was supposed to be. Mr. Rolly gave Yuki a glare.

Yuki awkwardly laughed, "shit."

Yuki followed Mr. Rolly bitterly. It wasn't her but she grumbled and angrily glared at the teacher. The others watched with no emotion.

"Sucks to be her." Hunter breathed.

"Smart ass, has got to learn sometime." Carter agreed. Nina seemed offended by what they said.

"You truly believe this is her fault?" Nina growled.

"Well, she does get herself into trouble and always sticks her nose where she shouldn't be." Aria mentioned. Nina looked at her in disbelief. Why was everyone saying these things about Yuki? The energy around the lunch table was tense. Camille cleared her throat.

"Why don't you guys go find Zina?" She suggested, "I mean, she disappeared, you guys mind looking for her?" Carter nodded and got up from his chair. Hunter rolled his eyes and followed Carter. Aria followed them shortly after. Now only, Kano, Don, Nina, Camille, and Carlos sat at the table.

"So what were you saying before?" Camille asked Kano.

Don voiced concern, "You kicked those three out of the table because you don't want them to hear it?"

"Perhaps." Camille answered.

"Like I said, a rose will be requited at the hour of 3." Kano cheered. Carlos scratched his head and the others remained silent, trying to understand his words.

"Don't worry I speak Shakespeare." Camille said, holding her hand up. "Give me the deets Kano."

"A truly beautiful site to see, where the sky touches the ground. There a love shall be requited." The others waited for Camille to say something. It was only a few seconds when they heard her squeal.

"You're joking right?"

"What would I gain from saying this. Even Zina wanted to hush hush it."

"Please tell me," complained Carlos, "I wanna knowwww."

Camille began, "Today someone's getting a love confession on the roof tops of the school at 3 pm." Nina squealed with happiness while Don and Carlos sat there with their eyes wide open.

"Who? Who is confessing and to whom?" Carlos asked eagerly.

"Amari will requite the feelings that Zina has."

Carlos gulped, "No"

Nina huffed, "Fucking"

"Way," Don finished.

I splashed myself once more time with water. I needed to wake up, I was dreaming. I knew this was a trap. It's too damn easy. The information was coming from someone who gossiped a lot. This isn't easy for me to deal with. I'm used to being disappointed in what I am dealt.

To explain this more carefully...I compare life more to a deck of cards. You see we are given a hand and it's not always the best. We have to live with what we are given. Sometimes we have bad rounds when it's our turn to play. I always have bad plays. That's the only thing I'm really good at.

"Hey Caroline, did I tell you what Amari said?" Came a voice. They opened the door to the bathroom. I happened to be looking at myself in the mirror. I had put my elbows on the counter and my mouth on my hands. I was clearly deep in thought.

They didn't seem to mind that I was there. I could see them giving me concerned looks from my peripheral vision. I could see one of them approaching. I wouldn't speak unless they did. I moved from my position. I clearly don't want to talk to them, but they want to talk to me. Germaine blocked my way and Caroline places a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, are you okay?" Caroline asks. I eye her with caution.

"Never better. Why?"

"We thought you might be nervous because Amari is supposedly going to confess." Caroline said.

"I'll be fine." I say blankly, "Is that all you wanted to say?" "Nervousness is for the faint of heart."

Germaine stepped forward, "Hey, we know you don't trust us..but we just wanted to warn you about Amari. He's usually not this brave when it comes to asking. Please do give him a chance. He won't stand you up, we'll make sure of it. You can trust us. I'm good friends with Kano."

"And I am good friends with Camille." Caroline mentioned. Of course, the old "trust-me cause-I-am-very-trusting-with-your-friend-who-is-also-my-friend" tactic. I wouldn't be fooled but Caroline... I have talked with her and hanged with her and Camille. She's one of Camille's fellow fanfic writers and reader. She's nice but I doubt...

I gave in to my weakness and accepted.
