003

I don't remember of today...Heck I don't even remember most of this Friday. I only remember bits and pieces. I think I had a nightmare where I was being buried alive. I do remember seeing my name engraved on a tombstone...

I must be seeing things. If there was something even more weird I think I saw a dog like figure crawling around. That can't be possible. The only possible way to see all this is if I was under the influence. Which I hope I am not.
When I came to, I remember being carried bridal style. It was Cameron he was carrying me. Um, wait why was he carrying me?

"I-let me go!" I sputter. I could feel my face heating up. Cameron helped me get on my feet.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Uh, no." I say eyeing him, "Were you the one following me? Did you drug me? When did you get here?" Cameron seemed nervous and was waving his hands in the air. I took a look around at my surroundings. There were a couple of pedestrians giving us strange looks.

"L-look Miss," Cameron whispered, "I saw you laying in the alley unconscious, and I was worried."

"Miss?" I repeated.

"I don't know your name." Cameron said cheekily. He rubbed the back of his head.

"Um, Cameron," I say angrily, "You know me, we go to school together!"
Cameron stared at me with shock on his face.

"I don't remember, this was the first time I have seen you."

"You're kidding me." I awkwardly laugh, " Do you remember anything?"

"All I remember was that I was supposed to transfer at this school. I then have a faint memory of going after something, and then it leads to this.

Unbelievable. He doesn't remember a week of his life and... wait this is still Cameron Roy. He's just been sent back a week. Interesting.
I decided to pull out my phone and I saw that it said four fifteen. Oh no. Yuki's gonna kill me. My Dad might be worrying about me. My friends are probably- I felt my phone vibrate. Ten unread messages from Yuki. Twenty five unread from Aria and Nina. Forty from Camille and five from Carter, Don, Carlos, and Hunter. One unread from Kano.
I wonder why Camille sent me so many messages. Cameron stood there patiently with his hands behind his back. That's unusual for him.

"Go ahead and read 'em Miss," Cameron said politely, "I'll be waiting right here." I shrugged as I decided to take a look at what was going on.
Message from Kano: Camille, Yuki, Nina, and everyone else is worried about you.
Messages from Hunter, Carter, Don, and Carlos were basically, Come home. Now. We need to talk. Camille and Yuki are pissed dude. Seriously.

I took a look at what Camille was texting. Shit I can't remember my Friday.
Where r u?
Why aren't you answering?
You need to apologize to Yuki
Seriously
This isn't funny
This isn't a joke
Get your ass here NOW

I didn't want to bother with reading the rest. I slipped my phone into my pocket. Cameron was still there.

"I'm guessing you have to go?" He asked.

"Yes, um see ya later."

"Can I have your number?" He said kindly.

"It's in the phone book."

"But I don't know your name."

"That's in the phone book too."

He waved to me politely and watched me sprint to my house. I mean all I had to do was cross the street then I'd be at my house.

When I opened the front door, I think I might have bumped into one of Dad's customers. He does have a bakery in front. I apologize quickly and I speed through the bakery to the spiral stairs and jump over the gate blocking it. I was almost out of breath when I made it to the second floor. Camille was in the hallway pacing back and forth.

Yuki was standing right outside the video game room, tapping her phone nervously. Nina popped out of nowhere on the right side hallway.
She hugged me like she'd hadn't seen me in years.

"Zina!" She chirped. Camille and Yuki looked our way and came rushing to our side.

"Where were you?!" Camille shouted. Nina released me from her hug and Yuki came and gave me a hug. Everyone was freaking out like I was out for a week without telling anyone.

"We were worried about you." Yuki rasped.

"I'm sorry." I say genuinely, "I got side tracked."

"What side tracked you?" Carter asked. The others heard the commotion and came out of the room.

"It's a long story," I giggle. Yuki, Camille, and Nina gave me a weird look.

"Well, I had to announce to the subscribers that the live stream would be at six." Hunter mentioned. "Mind telling us what happened?"

I smile, "Yeah, of course."

Like a herd of sheep we all gathered in the game room. There were tons of bean bags already sitting around the TV in the center. I sat in one of the bean bags. Hunter sat next to me. The others were around me like a sharing circle in preschool.

"I'll keep it short," I began, "I can't remember what I was doing in an alley."

"What?" Exclaimed Carlos, "That doesn't even make any sense."

"We need more detail to understand what you mean." Hunter mentioned.

"I honestly don't know what was going on. That's all." I lied. It probably wasn't a good idea to tell a lie, but Cameron supposedly just lost some of his memory. I wouldn't want the others to go after him asking questions.

"So you totally don't remember why you were in an alleyway?" Aria guessed.

"Pretty much."

"Zina if that's all it was then why didn't you call?!" Yuki pleaded. She grabbed my head and started giving me a noogie.

I answered in a strained voice, "I was in a state of confusion."

"We were too!" Carlos complained. We all giggled it off, so I guess I can say they bought it. I wasn't really sure about what I experienced. Furthering my suspicion that today was a very abnormal day.

The stream was successful and Hunter couldn't have been happier. I'm glad he's happy, cause it made my day better.
The boys had to leave around ten and so did Nina and Yuki.

"Bye Carter!" Camille shouted. She waved goodbye as he descended the spiral staircase.

"Don't ya have to get going?" I asked Camille. We were hanging outside the main hallway.

"Well.." she said with a mischievous grin. Aria threw a sleeping bag at her head. RIP Camille. She fell flat on her back.

"I can't believe you!" Aria exclaimed. Camille was still on the floor but she propped herself up and pushed away her bag.
I was just as confused as her.

"And I had the same idea." Giggled Aria. She revealed that she had also had a sleeping bag with her.

"Haha, you guys didn't even tell me you were sleeping over." I laughed.

"My parents are out of town on a business trip." Camille explained. "I would be by myself at home, but I decided I'd just come here."

"That's fine."

"I left my sleeping bag here last week." Aria admitted. Camille snickered. I'm surprised I didn't see this coming. Aria always forgets one thing at my house or wherever she goes.

"Alright, pick a room." Camille rose from the floor and dashed towards my room.

"We're sleeping in yours, silly."

Aria laughed as Camille entered my room. I wondered why Camille was in such a goofy mood today. She's usually more mellow and not jumpy. Weird.
Aria gave me a look.

"You coming?"

"Yeah, I will," I respond, "Gotta talk to my Dad." Aria nodded and joined Camille. I started to walk down the spiral staircase. When I got to the bottom of the stairs I had to unlock the fence blocking my way. My Dad was in the kitchen, cleaning up his work space.

"Hey Dad." I say. He turns around and smiles at me.

"Hey sugar cube." He says, "A couple of you're friends are sleeping over?"

"Yeah, Camille and Aria are."

"Did ya tell Aria she left her sleeping bag here?"

"I think she figured that one out herself." We giggled because of the many times Aria has left things here. A moment of silence came in. My Father continued cleaning the kitchen. His brown hair was doused in sweat, probably from the work load today. He had a slightly darker skin tone than me. One thing we did have in common was our green eyes.

He happily hummed to himself as he began to clean the tables.

"Dad." I voiced a more serious tone.

"Yes?"

"Is Mom coming home soon?" Dad gave me a sad look.

"Sorry, Sugar cube," He began, "You're mother's occupied with her art gallery display. She said she will try to make it back by next Friday."

"That's what she always says!" I snarl. "It's always the same excuse. Doesn't she love me?"

"Well, of course she does, and she misses you so very much."

"It's gonna be okay." My Dad continues, "We will do something fun tomorrow."

"Yeah," I smile, "I guess that's okay." I gave my Dad a hug. I ran up the spiral staircase and walked towards the bathroom which was the left hallway. It wouldn't be considered a hallway because there was only a bathroom on the left side.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I slammed my hand on the sink. I then reached for my toothbrush, toothpaste and vigorously brushed my teeth.

Originally, I did say that my mom is an artist. That she is very nomadic. What I didn't say was that she's not here, most of the time. That's how it's been most of my life. She's never been present in anyway that counts. I have now forgotten what her voice sounded like. What she looked like and how she behaved.

I question what kind of person she is. If she was more in my life...would I have turned out differently? Would I be someone I could look at in the mirror and say, "That's me" with pride in my voice? Not now. Not soon. I check everyday in the mirror and, not a single day goes by that I only see half a person, the part of me that is my father. The other I can't see.

I don't know how to act. Isn't a mother supposed to be there? Isn't a mother supposed to care? Isn't a mother supposed to show you how to use your heart? I can't feel my heart, sometimes I believe I don't have one.

"Zina."

I look up. I must have caught Camille by surprise.

"You're crying." She gasped. I guess I didn't notice. I glanced at the mirror but that only brought more tears.

"Is everything okay?" She asked. She came closer to give me a hug.

"I'll be fine." I lie.

"What's bugging you?" Camille continued, "Is it today?"

"A little bit." I rasp, "I don't really want to talk about."

"You know it's not good to hold things in, right?"

"I'm fine really." I reassure. "Can you not drill me on this?"

"It's not every day I see you get upset."

"I just don't feel in the mood to say anything."

"Eventually, you should."

"Don't go telling Yuki, I don't want my problems out in the open."

"She could help you."

"I don't want any help, Camille."

"It's okay to lean on others."

"Leaning on others won't fix this."

"You don't know that til you try."

"Camille, the more you persist, the less likely I will be to ask for help." That quieted her quickly. She nodded her head.

"If you will eventually come and talk about it one day...I guess I can't complain."

"Thanks, Camille." I was pretty much done getting ready for bed and by the time Camille and I walked into my room, Aria was sleeping.
She was snoring and drool was sliding down her face. She had one leg out of her sleeping bag and the opposite arm on Camille's sleeping bag.

Camille whispered to me, "Get the camera, we are sending this to Nina." I held back a laugh. We just love teasing these guys so much. Camille snapped a photo on her phone. Then she sent it to Nina with a weird caption. Guess I'll find out tomorrow about the caption.

Camille said she wouldn't be falling asleep anytime soon but I turned off the lights anyway.
After five minutes Camille was pretty much dead to the world. It was around midnight when this happened.
For some odd reason, I was wide awake. I decided I should just get up, there was no point in laying there aimlessly. I hadn't closed the curtains in my room although the moon was shining a beautiful glow. Maybe the moon was keeping me up. It felt like it was glowing more like the sun.

Regardless, I carefully walked over Camille and Aria. I don't know why they chose to sleep near my door. Guess I'll hit them with the door to teach them a lesson. I mean cause I had lots of floor space besides there. Also it would be a funny rude awakening. Haha.

Jokes aside, I wanted to head to the right hallway. I exited the middle hall and went down the right. My mom and Dad use this room. Well, my Dad uses it more, but my Mom occupies more. It's complicated. The right hallway has two rooms on each side with a big metal door at the end. My Father and Mother sleep at the left side room near the door in the middle.

Since I don't want to disturb my Dad I took the path opposite of the hallway. The staircase that leads to the rooftop. The roof is a garden where we grow vegetables and fruit. Tomorrow I have to help with that.

I had my phone on me and that's when I realized someone was calling me. The carrots looked ready to pick, so I grabbed one out of the dirt and munched on it. I then answered the phone. I didn't know the caller so I decided to eat the carrot. The carrot was part of my plan to make sure the caller didn't figure out my voice.

"Hello?" Came a familiar voice through the phone.

"This is Cameron Roy."

"How did you get my number?"

"Is this the lady in the alleyway?"

"Yes it's me, dumbass." I giggle.

"How did you find me?"

"I used the phone book."

"No way," I gasp, "Seriously?!"

"Yup, I went through so many numbers. Been trying for hours." Now I felt guilty, but I couldn't believe he actually used the phone book. Nobody uses the phone book anymore.

"So you have my number. Is that all you wanted?" I query.

"No, I wanted to ask what you were doing in the alley."

"Running from my stalker."

"Did your stalker have fangs?"

"I don't know."

"Do you remember anything, out of the ordinary?"

"I remember seeing a feline with blue eyes but that's about it."

"I see. That would explain the bite on your left shoulder."

"WHAT?!"

"I'm sorry, Miss Cisco, I forgot to tell you." Still holding the phone in my right hand, I turned my neck to see the bite on my shoulder. I was wearing a light navy blue t-shirt, which made it hard to see it.

I looked back and forth, hoping there was no pedophile with binoculars looking through any windows. I took my shirt off so I could see the bite mark. It covered most of my left shoulder and thankfully there was no blood.

"Aww man I have to get a rabies shot!" I cried.

"Don't worry, My Uncle has a clinic not far. You could always go there."

"Thanks." I say with a hint of sarcasm, "If only you told me sooner."

"Sorry Miss Cisco. I'll tell my Uncle that you're coming in."

"When's the earliest I can come in?"

"Five am."

"Perfect."

"You're really going that early, Miss?"

"I don't want to get rabies."

"Do you want me to escort you there?"

"No Cameron. Just send me the address. I don't want people getting the wrong idea if we walk together that early."

"Fair enough. Talk to you later then?"

"Yeah, good night." I hung up the phone. A moment later I got a text from Cameron. He sent me the address. Perfect. Now I just have to leave soon to find it. I won't be getting much sleep tonight...

Man, has this been an abnormal day for me.
