Chapter 8
Sebastian stepped in front of me and Ciel. "What are you?" He asked angrily.
The woman tilted her head slightly. "I see that someone has failed to teach you a proper greeting." She smiled, "But we have time to work on it."
I shivered. "L-Lady in the Window..."
Ciel looked at me then back at the woman. "What do you want with (F/n)?"
She floated around the room, taking in her surroundings. "My dear (F/n) has agreed be my vessel to get back home. And I have come to board."
Sebastian balled his gloved hands into tight fists. "Over my dead body. You touch her and I will make sure you suffer a thousand years of pain."
The Lady gave a small laugh. "I don't have to touch her."
An unknown force stole the air from my lungs, causing me to choke. When the force left, I took in a big gasp of air as the Lady disappeared into a shimmering wind that I breathed in.
My eyes suddenly turned silver as Sebastian pulled Ciel away from me. I grinned. "Her body is small, but I suppose it will do."
"Get out of her right now. Find another way back to your home." Sebastian growled.
I placed my hands on my hips. "But no one else will allow me in, so naturally a child would be my best choice."
"What about the people you murdered?" Ciel asked.
I grinned. "They didn't accept my offer, so I was forced to take care of them before they reported me to someone like you."
"You will not take my only daughter." Sebastian threatened, taking a step forward.
I looked at my nails, feigning boredom. "Considering how you came to have this child, I'm surprised you haven't killed her yourself."
Ciel turned to Sebastian, confused. "What is she talking about?"
I laughed. "Only the saddest story of all time. I'm not surprised he hasn't told you." When no one spoke, I continued. "Sebastian was once in a contract with a human girl named Luna Williams. He fell in love with her and she in love with him. They asked her parents but they refused to let them marry."
"Stop it..." Sebastian mumbled.
"They ran away to England, and a few months later, Luna found out she was pregnant. But before she could tell Sebastian, he was ripped away from his family, forced to serve the Phantomhive brat."
"That's enough." Sebastian said a little louder.
"Then poor little Luna Williams was killed when this brat entered the world. By this despicable, and yet so... delicious vessel that will help me get-"
"STOP IT!!" Sebastian shouted, with enough force that the room shook and a few books fell from the shelves. "Get out of her right now."
I smiled, shaking my head. "I can't do that. Not until I get back to my home." I sighed. "But I can only get home with the blood of a lord." I grinned at Ciel, sending visible chills down his spine.
"You will not harm a hair on his head. Why do you need a lord's blood to-...." with realization, Sebastian looked up at me in horror. "No..."
I chuckled, placing my hands on my hips. "Yes. I was a demon. Kicked out of my own realm due to a situation similar to yours."
Ciel looked up at Sebastian. "You were kicked out?"
"Not exactly, but, in a way... yes..." Sebastian stated. "For getting a human girl pregnant."
I started towards a bookshelf, running a finger over each book. "My story is not as pleasant." I stopped and looked at the men. "Have you ever been so angry that taking your own life seemed like an option?"
Remembering the story I had told them earlier, the two swallowed, bracing for a fight. "Never." Sebastian snapped.
Ciel swallowed again, but chose to withhold his answer.
"When I was with my very first master, I fell in love with him. Only problem was that he didn't love me. He was in love with another woman's maid. Of course, she turned out to be a demon. I was outraged. I couldn't handle it, so I took the body of the maid's mistress and killed the maid." I removed one of the books from the shelf, flipping through its pages. "She was a young one, so it was quite easy to catch her and run her through with the demon sword."
I floated the book into the air with dark shadows, grinning like a madman. "Oh this is beautiful... So this is the power of a half demon..."
The book suddenly went up in a flash of flames. I quickly pulled my hand back, gripping it tightly, feeling the burn of demon fire on my skin. I glared at Sebastian who narrowed his eyes at me. "You will leave her body right now or I will do more than just burn your fingers."
I sighed, shaking my head. "Oh, Sebastian. When will you ever learn..."
A black tendril shot towards Ciel, faster than Sebastian could calculate. Ciel cried out, feeling a pin prick his finger just before the darkness withdrew back to my fingertips. A drop of blood was on my finger as I grinned and my body started to glow. "I'll be seeing you again soon, Ciel Phantomhive, to thank you for your gift." As I laughed, I disappeared into thin air.
"(F/N)!!" Sebastian cried, trying to grab me, but it was too late. He frantically spun towards Ciel. "I have to go to the demon realm to save her."
"You're taking me with you." Ciel said, wiping his finger on his black pants.
Sebastian shook his head, leaving the room with Ciel trailing behind him. "It's too dangerous. You must stay here with the servants and give them a story as to why I left."
Ciel crossed his arms. "Are you ordering me?"
Sebastian dropped to his knees in front of Ciel in the hallway, gripping the boy's arms and staring him straight in the eye. "Young master. You know that I would never order you to do anything." The butler swallowed before continuing. "But I am asking.... I am begging you. To please stay here where I know you're safe."
Ciel blinked for a moment, but nodded.
Sebastian quickly stood up. "Stay with the servants. I won't be long."
As Sebastian started towards the door to outside, Ciel called out to him. "Sebastian!"
The butler turned around, pausing with the door open. Ciel nodded a little. "Bring (F/n) back home safely."
Sebastian nodded, giving Ciel a small smile before closing the door behind him. His eyes turned a bright, deadly pink as a few drops of rain hit his tailcoat. "I fear that a storm is going to be the least of our problems today..."
And with that, Sebastian disappeared into a dark, blazing fire that blew away on the wind.
He was off to save his daughter.
