"shoot... WHAT TITLE SHOULD I GIVE TO THIS BOOK—"

A common scenario an author has to experience every time they have new stories idea.

Title. YES TITLE.

Interesting, creative or simple title can attract readers to visit your story!

But some authors out there sometimes are too lazy to come up with book title yet they are whining, begging for people to read their books, vote their chapters and stuff like that.

How can readers support you when you are too lazy to even come up with a title?

Also, IMPORTANT NOTE

PLEASE DO NOT FORCE READERS TO FOLLOW, VOTE OR COMMENT.

It is their choice to comment or not, to vote or not. Forcing them to support you will result in bad reputation.

Well, that is another story. I will tell more later.

Anyway! Back to how to come up with good titles!

Don't worry! There are various ways to come up with a decent title! Here, I will tell you some tips about it! :D

1. Song title

If your fanfic is based on a song, then just use the song's title as the title of your book! You don't have to struggle so hard, staying late night with panda eyes JUST to come up with a good title!

Example:

Unbreakable by Me :D

This fanfic is based on a song from an anime called Carole and Tuesday. Ahhh, I love that anime! The songs are perfectly made and my favourite is Unbreakable by Crystal!

Because I was inspired by the song, I made a book based on this touching, awesome song!

2. Flower name title.

Like the first method, but the only difference is you use a flower's  name as the title of your book!

This really help a lot when you are struggling to come up with a title for your book! Just make sure to use the suitable flower's name for your book.

And please, PLEASE. If you really want to use flower's name as the title, do research on google. Come on! Use technology for your benefits! It worth the time doing research.

There is one time, I have a hard time deciding title. So I went to google to find some suitable words that was related to the title I want. And I came across all these amazing flower names. that is when, I realized I  can use flower name as the title if it is too hard to come up with one!

For example, if your book is about betrayal, death, has dark theme and everything related to it, you can use a flower name Cyrpress. this flower symbolizes everything I stated above.

Another example is down here!

This is my book, Arbutus.
Arbutus means "The only one I love"

This book is ACTOR AU. Izuku and others were successful actors. The interesting part is Tenko, Dabi and Kai Chisaki, the hottest actors are chasing after her feelings. They couldn't love other women; only Izuku.

Basically, this book is reverse harem.

In other words, Arbutus's meaning here refer to the boys. They only love Izuku. That is why I use " Arbutus"!

See? Simple right? Did you get it? :D

3. Rare vocabulary title

Well, this is rather a difficult one.

If you are a nerd, a bookworm, then I assume you have wide knowledge of vocabulary.

I'm not an English and English is second language in my country so I'm pretty much don't have lots of vocabulary in my brain. :P

But I'm trying to expand my vocabs now!

Anyway!

This method is rather difficult unless you have WIDE KNOWLEDGE OF VOCABULARY IN YOUR BRAIN!

You must be very good at English!

See how she used it there? Use a rare kind of word as the tirle, that match the plot/theme of the story!

If you all are a book worm, then I bet it is easy for you to find rare vocab to use as the title.

4. General/simple title

General title is a simple title that is used by most of the authors. Like me!

Mostly, I come up with a simple title after planning the plots. Majority of my stories' titles are actually "quotes" that I will use in the climax of the story.

And I use simple title that match the theme/plot of my stories.

Example;

His Eternal Bride by me

Honestly, of all my stories' titles, I love this one the most. It sounds beautiful.

Because this book is about arranged marriage and eternal love, I combined the two concepts and thus, His Eternal Bride was given as the title of this book.

That is all I can come up with! Now, I'm here to tell you WHAT YOU SHOULDN'T DO WITH THE TITLE.

1. Using a very looooooooong title.

Gosh. I'm going to be straightforward. I hate it when people use a very long title like that is obviously a dialogue!

"I got attacked by a villain and now I'm a girl?!"

"Kacchan is my stepfather now?!" (No jokes. I found this book before and I was traumatized)

PLEASE.

DON'T. DO. THIS.

You want people to read your books? Then use decent title! It is annoying when people use dialogue as the title :(

2. Writing ship name / character's name s the title.

(Sorry, the picture is too much for me to see— because this is yaoi book)

Um, in my opinion, I don't like this. It obviously shows that you are the lazy to come up with title or put a very little effort to think of one.

If I ever see book like this, I mostly don't read it. (Unless the book is good)
