Day Four

This is kinda short and badish because I had to rush it...

Today's word: Orbit

The young student sat on the balcony outside of the astronomy tower, studying and mapping the stars of the open sky above. It was the final day of class before he had to take his final exams of the year. After this, he would work alongside his father at the Theodor Jacobsen Observatory back in Washington. It has always been his dream to be a successful astronomer, and is was even better considering his dad would let him work with him.

Dr. Cooke was the most famous astronomers in the state, having submitted many ideas to NASA, and some even getting accepted. He was a true gift to the Astronomy field, and is known teaching other aspiring students. His program was ranked number four in the country for interns. The student snapped out of his daydream looked back onto his star map, trying to finish the assignment before they had to leave.

"Attention everyone!" called a professor. He looked over to where Dr. Wilson has standing on his little mahogany box in the center of the tower. "I just wanted to say that before you go off for your exams, I wish you the best of luck. Remember everything you've learned so far this year, and make sure you study!"

He packed up his things and looked up to get one last glance of the open sky above before he had to leave and go off into the real world. The model of the Milky Way creaked above him as the planets made an orbit around the faded-orange sun. He would miss that noise. He would miss every part of this little old room. As he walked out, he gave himself a little smile, thinking about all of the memories that he had of this place.

Not my best, but not nearly as bad as the last one!
