Mark's face sunk. He looked up at Jackson, hoping and praying to God that he was just joking.

"What do you mean?" Mark says, his voice cracking. "It's me... Mark..."

Jackson just looks at him blankly. "I don't... remember..." he mumbles, looking as if he was thinking. "Sorry. You just don't seem familiar."

Mark felt his heart rip in two. It felt like the same heartbreak he felt when he was just a kid.

His eyes welt with tears, his eyes already being swollen and red from crying previously.

"Who am I?" Jackson says, looking around. "Why am I here?"

The doctor walks back into the room, holding a few papers. "Well, the test results came back. But it looks like you already figured out..." He trails off, sighing and patting Mark's back. "I'm very sorry. The test results came back and showed a significant amount of brain trauma, resulting in traumatic amnesia..."

Mark inhales heavily, nodding slightly. Jackson just looks at him, confused.

"You didn't answer my questions." Jackson says, looking down at Mark. "Who am I? Why am I here?"

Mark practically wheezes, wiping his eyes and looking up at him. "Y-You're Jackson. You g-got into a car accident."

Jackson looks at him, nodding slowly. "And who are you again? Not your name. Who you were to me."

Mark looks up at him, biting his lip to hold back more tears. "I... was your soulmate."

"Soulmate? You were my boyfriend?" Jackson says, looking at him. Mark nods, looking down.

"Well I understand why," Jackson says, "You're pretty cute."

Through Marks tears, he managed to chuckle. "You're still as charming as ever..." He says, looking up at him.

"You'll have to tell me about everything, alright, soulmark?" Jackson says, reaching for his hand. "Help me remember."

Mark takes his hand, as his lips quivered into a smile. "Of course."

After Jackson got released from the hospital, the two drove home. Jackson was full of questions, mostly because he was anxious in the car. After Mark had told him about the accident he got in, Jackson didn't want to get into the car. 'Why can't you just carry me home?' was just one of the many things he tried saying to not ride in the car. But eventually he gave up, and let Mark drive him home.

They finally arrived at the complex, and walked up to Jackson's apartment. Mark unlocked the door and went in, seeing Kunpimook laying on the couch and eating chips.

"Oh, hey! It's about time! I came over to see-"

"Mark, there's a stranger in our house! Call the police," He says, looking for Mark's phone.

"No, don't call the police," Mark says, closing the front door. "That's just Kunpimook. He's your best friend."

"Woah, what happened to you guys? Why does Jackson think I'm a stranger," Kunpimook says, once he sees the bandages on the two.

"Jackson got into an accident... He hit his head on the steering wheel pretty hard and has brain trauma..." Mark says, sighing shakily. "He's got traumatic amnesia. I'm trying to tell him about everything."

"You're my best friend?" Jackson says, looking at Kunpimook.

"Yeah," Kunpimook says, a frown on his face. "How are you feeling?"

"My head hurts," Jackson says, though it didn't seem to bother him. "Who are they?" He says, pointing to a framed picture of the seven of them.

"Our friends," Mark says, walking over to him. "See, here's you, me, and Kunpimook-" he points as he speaks, "-that's Yugyeom, Jaebum, Youngjae, and Jinyoung."

Jackson nods, sitting down on the carpeted floor. "What's my parents' names?"

Mark sighs, "You never really told me."

"Your mom's name is Sophia," Kunpimook says, "I remember."

"Oh. Who's–"

"That's enough for now, Jackson. Let's just relax, alright? You need to get some rest."

Jackson pouts, but complies. He follows Mark to the bedroom, hopping up onto the bed.
