The rest of the weekend there was filled with snarky remarks Hina is trying her best. To just impress Mrs. Toyomitsu to leave with a good impression on the love her life's mother. She tries everything she tries baking with her which goes terribly not because anything bad happened. No because Mrs. Toyomitsu just takes over everything anyways. She also basically degrades Hina's hobby so Hina tries doing farm work. That doesn't work either though because she gets ridiculed for being a city girl. Now it's all meant to be in playful banter but all Hina is thinking is 'I'm not good enough for this man oh no....' Taishiro isn't blind he isn't stupid he knows his own mother. He know how protective she is of him so he sees this happening and he tries intervene between them. Just trying to bring it down to a more playful banter level. He wants them to figure it out for themselves they are grown adults. Until his mom starts pushing some lines 'cause he knows how sensitive Hina can be. Especially as a people pleaser he knows what she would be willing to do to get someone to like her. She would sacrifice a piece of herself he doesn't want that to happen so he goes to talk to his mom.
