Chapter 57
After the battle; the villains went to Tartarus, they were currently resting near the bridge that was five kilometers from Tartarus. Shigaraki was lying on a Nomu while everyone else gathered around, Toya was sitting on a boulder, and he had been put in charge of Eva. Toya had Eva in his lap holding her bridal style, and put his jacket around her to diminish the light off her body, to ensure it wouldn't attract somebody they didn't want to attract.
"Those poor fools like to think that tomorrow will bring them hope," said All For One through Shigaraki's body. "But I'm not giving the world time to recover. It's my turn now, my turn forever. Listen well my tireless, Nomu. It's time to give you an important task. Free my real body."
Toya watched a stray tear leave Eva's eyes despite being unconscious, he watched the tear roll off her cheek dripping onto his arm, and his eyes went wide watching an injury from his fight heal within seconds.
"It's crazy when heroes live up to their hype," said Spinner kneeling next to Toya. "It's even crazier when mythical creatures such as this fae live up to their hype."
"What exactly is fae capable of?" asked Skeptic.
"Evalina Yuki is capable of everything we can only dream of," answered All For One, as he used Tomura's body to stand up. "I hate to admit it, but quirks to someone like her are seen as cheap magic tricks. The day she is pushed into a corner and snaps will be the day she puts shame on anyone who calls themselves villain, myself included. Her grandfather is currently king; you don't get there by being weak. It is rumored that the Yukis are descendants of a fallen angel bc. Her mother is a Moonbloom, a descendant of a Dark Fae from long ago, basically a demon. Due her statues, Young Eva has connections to higher beings; deities of all backgrounds. We shall unlock the secrets of more power through her body." He then left on a Nomu and, with a Nomu army, went to free All For One. The rest stayed put; they had searched Eva's pockets for any sort of weapon she could be carrying.
"What is this?" Skeptic asked as he turned Eva's flute over. "Just how ancient is this?"
"Careful with that," warned Dabi. "One song and you'll be in the ocean, drowning without knowing it or asleep for eternity."
"What does Shigaraki plan on doing with her?" asked Spinner. They all stared down at the girl; Spinner had applied whatever sort of aide he had on him. "Why do you think the boss requested we take her?"
"Fairies are dangerous creatures," answered Dabi brushing his finger along the side of her face. "I say it's best we just kill her here and now."
"We are under strict instructions not to," said Spinner. " I will follow those orders for now, no matter how much I disagree with them."
It was now 5:04 am. After All For One got free, the master stayed behind while everyone else went to the hideout.
"At last, my preparations are complete," said All For One through Shigaraki's body. "What a thrilling 24 hours. I've released as many prisoners as possible to confuse those who would hunt me. The streets will scream with violence. I do have one last request of you, however. Protect this body while it recovers."
"Shigaraki and I have a lot in common," began Spinner. "Games and stuff." He began to walk over to Shigaraki's body. "I want to reform this society ruled by fake heroes. That's why I joined the League because Stain's ideology inspired me. We had great ideas if not follow through, all wanted to crush this world. But we became disorganized and aimless bandits, petty thieves. Myself included. But when his spark returned, he lit a fire underneath me. I wanted to see what Shigaraki could pull off, the future he could craft. So, who'd the hell are you? You're not the person I choose to follow. My loyalties to him, Tomura Shigaraki."
"Don't fret, Iguchi," advised All For One, he grabbed the hand on Shigaraki's face. "There is no need for hostility. Please, trust that I respect Tomura's feelings above everything else." He took off the hand looking over at Spinner, instead of his eyes being red, they were white. "I long for his body to heal so he'll be complete. Once he's whole, our every dream will be realized."
"Why'd you want to take her?" asked Spinner, he gestured down to Eva who was still in Toya's arms. He had the option of putting her down, but holding something that is only supposed to be a myth, made him want to hold Eva more.
"There are endless things to come out of having a fae in our grasps," said All For One. "I plan on dissecting that girl, figure out how I can make use of it without making her snap. Without digging our graves." Shigaraki walked over to Toya. "Even for her age, she holds a lot of secrets of the world and will be a key for the future we dream." Toya looked up at Shigaraki. "It will be important for all of us to create a bond with her, for a fae's biggest fault is loyalty."
***Eva's head***
Eva was walking through a forest on a nice day; the sun shone through the trees. It was a forest her feet had memorized, and her feet led her to a treehouse just a bit above her. She stared up at the old, beaten-up place, carved on the side.
Bakugo's Agency
They built the place as their secret clubhouse when they were ten; they sure got their use out of it.
"Evalina." She looked down to see Katsuki standing in front of the tree with his back to her; tears filled Eva's eyes immediately. By the time he turned around fully, Eva had him in a hug; he hugged back tighter. "Quit crying on me." He shoved her head back.
"You're crying as well, Katsuki," sniffed Eva. A couple of seconds later; Bakugo sat with his back to the tree; Eva sat between his legs leaning back; his arms wrapped around her; Eva set her arms on his gently.
"Did we win?" asked Katsuki running a hand through her hair.
"I don't know," answered Eva. "I think we're both in a coma...This is pathetic."
"What the hell is?" asked Katsuki pulling her closer.
"Even in a coma, I still turn to you," answered Eva.
"I disagree," said Katsuki; she turned to face. "With how strong you've been getting I was starting to think you'd stop turning to me."
"That's ridiculous," said Eva putting her hands on his face. "You are my number one hero; I am always going to turn to you." He kissed the top of her head; he took a hand. "You are part of who I am. Whenever people look at me, they also see you, that is how it always has to be." Katsuki smiled a bit.
"A missing finger and your hand still feel the same," said Katsuki putting her hand back on his face. "Why didn't you tell me the truth about the abductions or the truth about that day?" She looked away from him. "What did you think was going to happen?"
"I didn't want you to lose faith in heroes the same way I did," answered Eva. "You and Izuku both love them so much, especially All Might." He kissed her head again. "I didn't start fully trusting heroes till we began at UA. So many of the students gave me faith that the future is going to be okay, especially our class, Izuku, and you." She looked away. "I've done a few unspeakable things in my abductions." Katsuki kissed her cheek, and she told him everything. Katsuk's face didn't change the entire time, not when she mentioned cutting off a guy's hand, smashing a guy's torso with a bat with spikes on it. Electrocuting them on the chair as they did to her with a smile. The entire time she talked, he ran his fingers through her hair.
"You did what you needed to do to survive," said Katsuki. "Those people who did that to you were villains who needed to be taught a lesson."
"I only did after you've told me I need to stand up to bullies," said Eva. "I did take it too far."
Katsuki cupped her face. "I am more scared of losing you forever than you being a little demonic at times like me." Eva smiled a bit. "In my heart, I know I made a good choice in my best friend to be my half. We earned the nickname Sweet and Spicy for a reason." He kissed her head, pulling her into a hug. Eva hugged him back.
"Katsuki," breathed Eva, letting her tears fall onto his shoulder. "You make up the majority of my soul. Losing you and Izuku is my greatest fear." Katsuki's eyes widened, putting his hand on the back of her head. Katsuki suddenly started to glitch.
"What's going on?" asked Katsuki, pulling back. "Why aren't you glitching?"
"I think you are waking up," answered Eva wiping his tears. "Everything is going to be okay." Katsuki put a hand on her face. "I love you."
Katsuki kissed her forehead. "I love you too." He pulled away locking his eyes on hers until he glitched out of sight. Eva took his spot against the tree.
***2 days had passed***
"Bakugo woke up in the hospital; once fully conscious he sat up; ripping the oxygen mask off, clutching his side.
'Deku. Eva.'
The door opened with Mineta screaming and crying. "Ah! He's awake!"
"Shut up and start explaining!" demanded Katsuki spitting out blood.
"Oh, good, he's mad," smiled Sero, Sato, and Hagakure were there as well. "That must mean he's feeling like himself."
"I'm about to be real mad!" shouted Katsuki. "Where the hell am I?"
"Dude, you're at Central Hospital," answered Sato. "From what we hear they have the latest most advanced medical treatments."
Mineta was still crying. "I'm so glad our class jerk is alive!" Bakugo was trying to pry Mineta off him.
"I'll get one of the nurses!" said Hagakure.
"Good idea," nodded Sato.
"Deku, Eva, and Todoroki," said Katsuki getting serious. "Mr. Aizawa, Endeavor, and all the others, what happened to everybody?" They all grew grim lowering their heads.
"I'll tell you okay," said Sero with uneasement. "But you gotta try to stay calm." Katsuki studied them. "Todorokis burnt bad, and Mr. Aizawa has some serious injuries, but they'll both pull through. Everyone else is regaining consciousness except the Doctor says Midoriya hasn't shown any signs of waking up." After hearing that, Katsuki got out of bed; and made his way down the hall, Sato and Mineta were trying their best to hold him back.
"I told you to not get up!" said Sato. "You could die!"
"Just stop!" pleaded Mineta. "You're the worst patient!"
"We aren't supposed to let you leave your room!" added Sato.
"Shut up!" grunted Katsuki. "Make me fight you and I'll be even more likely to drop dead!"
"Why do you have to be so stubborn on everything, dude?" demanded Sato putting his head back. "There's nothing you can do to help right now!"
"Did you hear a word, Sero said?" asked Mineta.
***Over in the All For One's secret cave***
All For One had been given a new oxygen mask; the group of villains now stood around Eva's body strapped to a gurney. She was in a light blue hospital gown, with the sleeves cut off, and stopped just above her knees. The middle section was open revealing her abdomen and stomach section.
"Shouldn't we kill her before we dissect her?" asked Dabi. "It'd make it easier."
"No can do," answered All For One. "Fairies don't leave a body behind when they die, we need her very much alive."
"What are you trying to dissect?" asked Spinner. "We all know how fairy blood and tears work."
All For One put a peculiar knife on Eva's forearm. "This." He sliced the knife down her arm; instead of blood pouring out; All For One parted the skin to reveal a glimmering white and gold glow. "Her quirk is nothing special, there are plenty with wind quirks, but this is something I cannot steal because it is not a quirk. Tomura couldn't get a read on it." Everyone gathered around closer; amazed and curious.
****
Back at the hospital; Bakugo got restrained by Tsu's tongue.
"DEKU YOU BASTARD!" raged Katsuki. "YOU'RE DEAD! I'VE BEEN AWAKE FOR HOW LONG!"
"Do not shout, people are trying to grieve!" said Sato.
"Thank you for the assistance, Tsu," said Iida.
"What is wrong with that boy?" asked a nurse.
"With all his extensive injuries, I figured he'd be out for a while," said Iida with a slight smile.
"Yeah, and he's somehow louder than ever!" added Urakaka.
Jiro joined the group. "Hey, guys, it sounds like Tokoyami and Kaminari are cleared to go home now."
"Are they really?" asked Iida. "That's wonderful news!"
"Are there, uh, any updates on Midoriya's recovery yet?" asked Jiro.
Urakaka walked over to the door. "They say his body is fine, but I'm still worried."
Sato, Tsu, and Mineta began to take Bakugo back to his room; Hawks and Best Jeanist walked over to them.
"Heyo," greeted Hawks through his phone.
"Great Explosion God Dynamite, are you alright?" asked Best Jeanist.
"What's it look like?" asked Katsuki.
"You rest easy," said Best Jeanist.
"We'd like a word with Midoriya," said Hawks walking up to Iida.
Iida looked at Midoriya's room. "Well, All Might said to leave the two of them alone."
"He did, huh?" asked Hawks.
"Take me to Eva's room!" pleaded Katsuki; his mind went to being with her at the treehouse. That must mean she is here, too. "You didn't tell me about her, I want to see her!" The uncomfortable silence grew quickly. "Take me to her, dammit!"
"Break it to him easy," said Urakaka.
"Best to not cause a bigger commotion than he already is," said Iida. Katsuki looked at everyone, all avoiding his eyes.
"Take. Me. To. Eva. Now. Dammnit," ordered Katsuki.
"Right before the Nomu grabbed hold of Shigaraki and the other villains on Gigantiamachia, Spinner grabbed hold of Violet Gust," said Best Jeanist. "We have heroes on the lookout for her as we speak."
Katsuki's eyes went wide, trembling. "You have to be lying."
"I am sorry, Bakugo," said Best Jeanist. "I know how much she means to you."
Katsuki scanned everyone. "Does Todoroki know?" They nodded. "Has anyone spoken to her dad or brothers?"
"We have," confirmed Hawks. "They're currently here in the hospital, worried about you and Midoriya." Down the hall, Sora, Kozu, and Dios had left Aizawa's room just to be run into the Todoroki.
"Fuyumi," greeted Sora, he scanned Rei and Natsu. They were looking at him and his sons with bewilderment. Sora couldn't blame them, he was dressed in his normal fae clothes and his hair down. He wore a light brown open vest that was sleeveless and went down to his thighs. There was a sandstone orange sash that went around his waist holding up dark purple pants that looked torn around his calves. Most of his markings could be seen, he caused a lot of people to stop and stare including Eva's classmates. "Your mother and brother, I presume?"
"Yes," nodded Fuyumi. "This is my mom, Rei and my brother Natsu."
"My name is Sora Yuki," Sora greeted nodding his head toward them. "It is a delight to meet you both." He looked at the other two. "These are my sons Kozu and Dios."
"Ma'am," greeted Kozu and Dios as they bowed a bit.
"I apologize for whatever actions my son may do toward your daughter," said Rei bowing toward him a bit.
"And your sister," said Natsu, eyeing Dios.
"I apologize for my daughter," said Sora, he started to do the same actions. He then stood up and took Rei's hand which caught her and her children by surprise. Sora then bowed a bit in a manner similar to Rei's. "Knowing her, she'll have him wrapped around her finger in a day." Rei felt speechless by Sora's actions, he looked like a pretty strong man, someone who demanded respect. By one touch, he proved to be strong as well as kind and gentle.
"Are you worried about her?" asked Natsu as he watched Sora let go of his mother's hand.
"Of course I am," confirmed Kozu, looking at him. "Eva is our greatest treasure." This made the Todoroki family gasp.
"Please don't be too worried for our sister," said Dios looking at all the Todorokis. "She is a fae after all."
"I am appreciative, she's been abducted 7 times before this, and this is the first time a report has been made about it. In the past, it just got disregarded, so I'm happy an effort is being made this time around," said Sora as he closed his hands and then opened them, a bunch of flowers appeared, they circled each other into a bouquet, and being tied together with a vine. "Please, take this." He held out the flowers toward the family. "I can't imagine what your family is currently going through."
"I appreciate it," said Fuyumi taking the flowers as the other two were in pure amazement. Fuyumi had spent quite a lot of time with Sora since their first meeting and had him become a classroom aide for her a few times a week. She had grown slightly used to seeing magic. With that, the Todorokis went to see Shoto, and Sora, Kozu, and Dios went to see Katsuki Bakugo.
***In Eva's head***
She was sitting against the tree; when she blinked she found herself sitting on a chair in a familiar room; she looked next to her to see the Izuku, covered in that green and black stuff.
"We need to have ourselves a talk before you wake up," said Banjo.
"Thank you for joining us, Yuki," said Yoichi; Izuku looked at her, and his eyes widened. He was surprised that she wasn't covered in the same green and black stuff. "My apologies." He looked at the 1st Weidler. "The timings not ideal." Eva noticed that two of the users stood against the wall with their backs toward the group.
"Fate has brought us here," said Shinomori, the 4th user.
"Oh please," grunted Banjo. "It's just bad luck this is happening now."
"Banjo you spoke to him before yes?" asked En the 6th user. "When he first used Blackwhip?"
'These are the people who had One For All before me,' said Izuku.
'They must have something important to tell you if they are present even All Might,' said Eva. "How are all of you able to speak to Izuku at this current moment?"
"At first we could only talk to him when we found cracks in his consciousness," answered Yoichi. "But we are not limited to those moments anymore." He focused on Izuku. "The reason is related to my power, which you know hold. About 4 months ago, it began to suddenly grow at a rapid pace. As a result of this acceleration the previous wielders, the figures you see in front of you now were able to take shape and communicate with each other inside One For All. When my brother forcibly pulled us into the battle earlier we gained even more freedom, it's now far easier for us to paper before the both of you."
"Don't you worry! We'll still give you plenty of privacy if you know what I mean!" Banjo said to Izuku. The green-haired boy struggled to talk. "Oh, right, I forgot you don't have a mouth in here."
"What did you talk about?" asked Izuku through muffles.
"DANG!" Banjo lit up, clapping his hands together. "I can almost understand what you're saying."
"He wants to know what you talked about," said Eva.
"Allow me to explain," said Shinomori; he was on his feet. "My name Hikage Shinomori, and I was One For All's 4th weilder. During the recent battle, you unintentionally tapped into my quirk and used it on the field." Izuku nodded. "It was kind of a shock, to be honest."
"I'm sorry," muffled Izuku.
"Strange I didn't sense you to be using danger since it is my quirk," said Shinomori.
'Makes a lot of sense, uh,' said Izuku.
Banjo walked over. "Number 4's a weird one, he got tired of everyday life so started to living in seclusion like a hermit." He dodged Banjo's hand. "Mines a terrible era, rest of society was strange that me." The two began to fight each other. "Were you informed of how I died and how old I was at the time?"
"All Might mentioned you died at 40, but not how you died," answered Eva.
'I'm pretty sure he crossed out the important details,' said Izuku.
"We discovered I died of old age," said Shinomori.
"But 40 is a super young age to die at, even for a human it's young," said Eva.
"I was just as surprised as the both of you," said Shinomori as Banjo got to his feet. "Not Banjo nor I had any way of knowing how we died." He looked at All Might's vestige. "We found out because Yagi looked into the matter. But this fact leaves us to believe that One For All can't be wielded safely by a normal human bean. I'm 2nd to Yagi in terms of users who lived with this Quirk the longest, for 18 years I spent days training and building up the power the best I could. Avoiding All For One, I always knew I didn't stand a chance at defeating him myself. So, I figured the best thing I could do is improve the Quirk for the next user; but as time passed cracks began to impale my body." He moved his hair; shoving more of the scars growing through his eye. "If perhaps I wasn't training enough, I've contracted some unknown disease, turned out that wasn't the case. As Yagi researched he tracked down my medical records and autopsy report. That's when the truth came to light. Natural causes that killed me were due to the multiple Quirks inside my body drastically shortened my lifespan."
"Lifespan," muffled Izuku. "No way...!" He turned to Banjo. "But...! Wait a minute! All Might had it for longer when the power was much stronger!"
"That's correct," said Yoichi. "That's exactly the reason we needed to talk to you." He looked at All Might. "Yagi's fully aware of what a burden it is to carry One For All, a burden you'll have to deal with. We don't have a proper sample size, most of us didn't have the power long, we died in battle, not of old age." He looked at Izuku. "So we asked, what was the distinctive difference between Yagi and Shinomori?"
"One born with a quirk and one born without a quirk," said Eva.
"Yes," nodded Yoichi. "Yagi may still be alive, but as he gathered information we took what he learned through the piece of him that exists in One For All. And then after I hear what my brother had to say, I was certain. According to what he said, a person's consciousness is etched into their quirk factor, why is Yago a vestige even though he doesn't have an ability of his own? We also thought a piece of the user ended up inside of One For All because of the power you were born with, more precisely the consciousness of every wielder after lived on because their quirk factor was added to my One For All. Yagi being the exception. With no quirk of his own, he's the only user who gained a vestige through One For All itself. Think of one's ability to hold a quirk as a glass. If it's not empty when they inherit One For All, it overflows, eating away at your lifespan. Yagi was able to use One For All over the course of 40 years because his vessel was empty at first like the cultivated power fit perfectly and it became his true quirk. By some twist of fate, this person that's passed from person to person could only reach its true potential when wielded by someone born powerless.
Izuku looked at his hands. "In other words, now that the predecessor's Quirks are appearing I can't pass it on to a normal person anymore. One For All can't be passed on anymore. That's what you are trying to say, right?" Yoichi nodded.
"Theres is a cuvette," said Yoichi. "You can pass it on to another quirkless person, but they are like an endangered species, few far in between these days. It's not something you could've known in the beginning. We learned this over generations of observation. Must've been fate once again that the two of you became back-to-back recipients. If we'd been able to talk with the other users sooner perhaps fewer people may have suffered over the years."
"You get what this means, kid?" asked Banjo. "You might be the last person who wields One For All."
"Me...the last...wielder," said Izuku.
"And now the real question," said Shimura. "Izuku, tell us...can you kill Tomura Shigaraki?" She began walking over to him. "That's not a request, I'm gauging your resolve, when you saw that boy's face...you thought as though he was asking for help, didn't you? We feel your emotions, so we know what was ringing through your head in that moment of desperation."
"The problem is, the rest of us had a completely different take on the situation," said Banjo. "We know All For One was inside his head, which is causing Shigaraki pain, yeah. But in that moment, it didn't seem like he wanted to be saved. Even as he suffered in front of us, those terrible eyes held nothing but hatred."
"Hatred has the ability to block out all emotions someone is feeling underneath," said Eva. "Same way when people are able to smile without showing any emotion of being scared."
"That's the person All For One raised him to be," added Yoichi. "My brother was incarcerated during the fight, I think his plan was to both possess Shigaraki physically and mentally. So that he can take One For All."
"Me and En," said Banjo, gesturing to En. "My junior here, we both ended up facing All For One. But we managed to keep him from stealing the power from us. Cause in order to make All For One surrender, you gotta come at it with a passion that surpasses the quirk's incredible power. Hmp. No person can have such an overwhelming will alone. Our guess is that All For One is trying to use Shigaraki's hatred as a booster."
"But hatred is terrible to lead with or power up from," said Eva. "It always ends badly."
"At the heart of quirk inside of Izuku there's a grip that refuses to yield to that monster," said Banjo. "Despite, his strength."
"We believe that One For All is meant to destroy All For One completely," said Yoichi. "It looked like Yagi had accomplished this, but my brother is tenacious he is trying to make a comeback."
"Izuku," breathed Shimura. "I know it's not fair to tell you this after explaining, you can't abandon your power. But Tomura Shigaraki is my grandson, I left my family to fight All For One, abandoned my child and this is the result. We are in a terrible situation. It's disgraceful I failed to achieve my goal, I know how to rely on a 16-year-old. However, if that monster manages to fully awaken no one will be able to stop him. You can't make him see reason or offer him forgiveness. Some people are simply beyond redemption." She put her hands on his shoulders. "And I believe that Tomura is one of them. So if he looked like he wanted to be saved, ask yourself in the end will you have the necessary resolve to kill him?"
"I don't know," said Izuku. "It looked like he was in pain, no that's what it felt like, when Shigaraki's consciousness penetrated mine, we were so close, I know how hard he focuses on his dream. In the depths of that hatred, I could sense a lost child crying, I've fought a lot of people since I've received this power, I had to because they wouldn't back down." His mouth was now completely free. "It was my only option. The thing is I never found out what caused them to be villains, what caused all their anger. If I had known, maybe things would've been different. Maybe I still would've had to fight, maybe not. Shigarakis killed so many innocent people, he hurt those I care about. But still, One For All isn't a power meant to do harm, it's a power meant to save. That's something I learned from All Might. It's not just me, this thing you've cultivated through blood, sweat, and tears has encouraged countless people to become better versions of themselves over the generations. Even if it started out as a way to destroy your brother, it's evolved into something else thanks to what you've done. One For All has taken on another purpose in this world. I don't know what I should do next. But it's true that the only way to stop him might be to kill him...but" He was now a 4-year-old. "I wanna save that little kid." Shimura was choking back tears.
"And that's why we'll follow your lead," said Yoichi, he looked at a crying Yagi vestige. he touched his shoulder; then walked over to Izuku who was now his current age. "I'm so happy that my power was passed onto you two."
"My body!" exclaimed Izuku, Yoichi put his hand on Shimura.
"This was a test," said Shimura. "For which I apologize, Grand Torino is alive, when you wake up tell him I said hello." She was crying.
"You two better start helping out," said Yoichi looking at the two standing at the wall. "Can't just ignore us. We need your cooperation to release One For All's full potential. We are counting on you, my heroes." They didn't budge. "Banjo was the first, he released his quirk, and after Shimonori followed suit. Shimura was next, and En, all of them agreed. But we need everyone's support to bring its true strength to light." They both remained as they were.
"Hey, kid!" shouted Banjo. "Try getting more accustomed to the other quirks in the meantime. Especially Shimonori's and En's." He walked over punching him. "And then things will go much smoother when you wake up."
"That's a great idea," said En walking over with Shimonori. Eva went over to the two on the wall.
"We lived during the cruelest," said the one with the blue hair. "All For One's physical strength was at its peak, he manage to amass incredible power, most people being controlled were unaware they were being manipulated. But our leader knew the truth." He looked at the one with orange hair. "Together we stood against All For One fighting to stop his ascent."
"You were there too," said the one with orange hair. "You saw it."
"Yes," confirmed Yoichi.
"In order to get to your brother we had to sacrifice many people," said orange hair. "The only thing that mattered to us was winning. Either he died or humanity did. Now, we are supposed to leave everything up to this boy who wants to save our enemy. It's absurd."
"Is that really how you feel?" asked Yoichi. "That's interesting. See I'm a little confused. Back then you reached your hand out to me, if you hadn't chosen to save a potential enemy none of this would've ever happened. We have no choice but to leave the future to the 9th. You must realize this, it's why you appeared here, to begin with."
"Be honest," said the orange hair. "Do you really think he could bring an end to this?"
"I do," smiled Yoichi. "It's why One For All exists, it was born out of my defiance. But the power became what it is because you were willing to reach out." The two at the wall turned toward the others. "Yuki." She looked at him. "It's time for you to unlock your full potential as well, no more holding back. You mentioned to Yagi long ago that you felt inferior and weaker than most of the other fae, I don't think that's true, none of us here do." He put a hand on her head. "When you wake up, be sure to stay alive." They all left; soon Eva found herself back at the treehouse.
