Chapter 36

Everyone was now running around to get everyone injured help, while the police continued to arrest a couple of others. Izuku was panting heavily as he held on to Eri.

"We have a lot of seriously injured people here!" Ryukyu announced as she was back in her regular form. Bubble Girl ran over to Nighteye. "We need ambulances! Quickly! Check to make sure we didn't miss any victims. The League of Villains may still be nearby! Search for them!"

"Yes, ma'am!" an officer responded. More arrests continued to be made, and soon the ambulances came. Fatgum, Urakaka, Tsu, and Eva all stared in horror as Kirishima was being carried out on a gurney. He simply gave them a weak smile, his eyes barely opened.

"She got a fever after she passed out," Izuku informed as he handed Eri to a medic.

"She's safe," the detective said. "She just needs a hospital. You too, kid."

"Yes, sir," Izuku responded.

"His pulse is dropping! Hurry!" an officer urged.

"Sir!" Eva exclaimed as she rushed over with Izuku.

"Can you hear me?" Izuku asked. "There's something I've been meaning to tell you."

"Yuki...Midoriya," Sir breathed. "Midoriya. You twisted the future. You did the impossible."

"Sir," Izuku teared up. "About All Might. He said he'll live. He told me he couldn't face you, but...You have to see him again! I know he wants that! So, you have to pull through."

"We're in a hurry," a medic said pushing Izuku back. "Please stay back." They rushed to the hospital with Nighteye.

"Midoriya, Yuki" Ryukyu breathed they looked at her. "Many people were hurt today, so this isn't really the time to celebrate. But...thanks for all you did." There was a light smile. The battle to save a single girl came to an end. Everyone who needed care was taken to the hospital. Eva was admitted into a room to get looked at. Eva now had her arm in a cast, and her lower body was bandaged, along with her legs and her other arm. She had a bandage from where Vega scratched her face.

"You're going to be just fine," Dr. Kent said, he was brought in because of Eva. "But you really need to avoid any more contact with any silver. The tips of your pointer and thumbs, and somewhat of your middle finger have severe burns. It's going to take about two weeks to heal along with some of the burns on your legs, side, stomach, and arms. Your nerves are going to be damaged. That can take 6-12 weeks to heal, and you are still recovering from the last time silver was in your body."

"I understand," Eva breathed.

"May we take her?" Aizawa said as he opened a curtain. Eva saw that Izuku was with him, and she looked away.

"Yes," Dr. Kent responded. "I will have the medicine ready to prescribe to her by the time she comes back. And by then she should be good to leave." Eva left the room. Aizawa led them down the hall.

"How are the others?" Eva asked.

"Kirishima's covered in bruises and lacerations from head to toe, but he'll live," Aizawa answered. "Amajiki cracked a bone in his face, and he has some other minor injuries, but none of them should leave a scar. Fat Gum has a few broken bones, too. But he seems mostly fine otherwise. Luckily, the blade that stabbed Rock Lock didn't hit any vital organs, and Yuki's magic helped stop the bleeding, so he should make a full recovery."

"I'm so glad," Izuku smiled; it quickly dropped when he looked at Eva, she wasn't even daring to look over at him.

"What about Eri?" Eva asked. "How is she?"

"Still feverish and sleeping fitfully," Aizawa answered. "She's being quarantined for now.

"Quarantined?" Izuku repeated. "Really? So does that mean we won't be able to see her?"

"You know they made that call based on your description of what happened back there," Aizawa informed. "She's got a dangerous Quirk and no control over it. If something provokes her enough to activate it again, I'm the only one who can stop her. You were only able to touch her because you kept destroying your body faster than she could rewind it, right?" They waited at the elevator.

"Yeah," Izuku confirmed as the doors opened.

"There aren't exactly a lot of people who can pull that off," Aizawa said as they entered the elevator. "And even if there were, who's to say how powerful she really is? We have no idea what her limits are."

"I know what you mean," Izuku said as they went up. "If you hadn't been there to make her stop, I'm not sure what would've happened."

"Teaching her control will be especially hard since her Quirk only seems to work on people," Aizawa said as they made their way down the hall. "When you are training on live subjects, the danger is exponentially greater.  Her emotional state will be a factor, too. With so many unknowns it makes sense to keep her quarantined. For her sake, as well as ours. In other words, we can't depend on the girl or her Quirk right now. "They stopped a pair of doors. "All we can do is accept it. Now, come on. Some others have joined us." They looked to see people gathered in a room, and behind the glass was Nighteye.

"All Might!" Izuku gasped.

"And you're here as well, Recovery Girl," Eva said as they entered the room.

"But why?" Izuku asked.

"I asked All Might to come, because Sir..." Bubble Girl began. Her voice was trembling. "Sir always admired him so much." Her emotions overcame her, she cried into her hands.

"Awata," Centipeder breathed.

"There's nothing more we can do," the doctor said. "To be honest, even with the fairy tears, it's a miracle he's survived this long."

"My healing can't help him, either," Recovery Girl said as she looked down. "He's too far gone for me to save."

"I'm sorry," the doctor apologized. "But you should prepare yourselves. I don't think he'll live to see tomorrow." All Might was now beside his bed.

"I'm so sorry," All Might apologized.

"Is that you, All Might?" Sir asked as he opened his eyes. He looked over at the man. "You feel like talking now that I'm on my deathbed?"

"I don't know what to say," All Might admitted. "I was wrong. I pushed you away, and now..."

"Nighteye!" Eva breathed as she and Izuku went beside the bed.

"Hang in there!" Izuku pleaded. "Please, you have to live!"

"I've never heard you sound so penitent before, All Might," Sir smiled a little as he continued to look at All Might. "But I didn't resent you for what happened between us." He looked up. "I mean that. All I wanted was for you to be happy. And if you've decided to fight fate, then I--"

"You should be fighting it, too!" All Might pleaded. "Please give me a chance to make up for what I've done."

"There's nothing to make up for," Sir said as he opened his eyes again. "I wanted to change the future. To keep you from being killed. I looked for ways to alter the fate I'd seen. I tried, but there was nothing I could do. And then today, Midoriya succeeded where I failed. I believe...it might have to do with the energy contained in thoughts. The power of a vision, so strong it leaves no room for doubt and strives towards the desired future. It wasn't just Midoriya. Everyone there truly believed that what they were fighting for could come to pass. Maybe what we saw today was the result of that energy converging on Midoriya and being released. You've changed my thinking. You've shown me the future isn't set in stone. And that's enough for me. I only have one regret left."

"Sir!" Mirio cried as he entered the room.

"Togata!" Izuku breathed as Mirio made his way to the bed.

"Don't give up!" Togata pleaded as he limped. "Please, keep fighting! Don't die on me!"

"Mirio," Sir breathed. "I failed you. This is my fault. If only I'd been there--"

"Don't say that!" Mirio pleaded. "You were always there, teaching me how to be strong!" Tears flooded out of his eyes. "Everything I am now is because of you--don't you see? I'm not ready! Please don't leave me!" Nighteye shakily lifted his hand to Mirio's face, using his quirk one last time. Everyone was breaking down into tears.

"You'll be okay," Sir assured. "You're going to become the finest hero the world's ever seen. That's one part of the future that shouldn't be changed. Work hard and be sure to smile." Eva saw something no one else was able to see. She saw a reaper enter the room, it went over to Sir Nighteye." After all, without joy and laughter to balance the sorrow, this world cannot hope to have...a bright...future." Eva watched as the reaper took Nighteye's ghost. His soul left his body, he looked over at everyone who was in the room. He was surprised to see that Eva could see him. He looked at the reaper for a second, the reaper nodded, then looked back at Eva.

"Yuki," Sir's voice entered her head. "I am sorry I was not able to teach you more."

"You've taught me much," Eva responded in her head. "Even if our time was short."

"I need you to promise me," Sir began. "Not only look after Eri, but Mirio and Midoriya as well."

"All Might as well?" Eva asked.

"Please," Sir nodded.

"We are going to make you proud," Eva assured. "You take it easy now."

"Remember the world needs joy and laughter to balance out the sorrow," Sir said. "Though I guess you know that better than anyone. My last piece of advice to you...Your eyes are full of how the world really is. Focus on letting people in; they can help you. And don't be afraid to step into your full power, you are strong and everyone knows that." Eva nodded, with that, Sir Nighteye left with the reaper. Eva wiped her eyes. She looked over to see that Sir had died with a smile on his face. They all left the room. Eva went back to where her hospital room was located to grab her stuff.

"Eva," Izuku said as he knocked on the door. "Can I come in?"

"Now isn't the best time," Eva answered. The door opened despite her wishes. "Izuku." She turned to find herself in a tight hug.

"You can be angry with me all you want, but please don't leave," Izkuu pleaded. "I am so sorry for those things I said to you. It was far out of line from the moment I opened my mouth."

"I expect those things from other people, but not from you," Eva said as she pulled back. "It hurt a lot."

"I'm sorry," Izuku said as tears leaked out of his eyes. "Why...why did you choose to be our neighbor?"

"The Hassaikai said it was a safe neighborhood," Eva answered. "And your family was people we can feel safe next to." Izuku dropped to his knees crying, even more, Eva got to his level. "It's my fault, I should have told you about this sooner."

"That's not why I'm crying," Izuku cried. "I knew you were going through a lot when you moved in, but I didn't know how much. What kind of hero doesn't recognize the pain their own best friend is going through? We've spent hours together. 7 times, 7 times you got snatched and not one hero came to your rescue!"

"You were just a kid," Eva said.

"And so were you," Izuku said as he wiped his eyes. "We lived next door for years, yet our lives are so different,"

"Not necessarily," Eva said.

"I didn't even know your full name till now," Izuku said. "I'm your best friend."

"Oh, those are just fairy rules," Eva answered. "Concealing our real names perceives our power. Please continue calling me Eva. The same is done with your name. Everyone in my realm knows you as Zuku, it is a form of protection. It's harder for them to find you if they don't know your actual name."

"I am going to look after you better from now on," Izuku said as he pulled her into another hug. "I will make sure your path is brighter, as it will be for Eri."

"You are hurting me," Eva grunted as she tried to push him away. Izuku gasped, he pulled back and then looked at the cast on her arm.

"Who all knows the truth about your past?" Izuku asked.

"Mr. Aizawa and Katsuki," Eva answered. "He was assigned to go to the Otherworld with me."

"One more question," Izuku said. "Were you able to see him?"

"Yes," Eva confirmed. "We talked for a few seconds as well. He's at peace now."

"Thank you," Izuku breathed, he scanned her face. "Not a single time a hero came to your aid?"

Eva shook her head. "I've been told countless times that heroes don't rescue people like me." Izuku's face fell more. "I will make things better for my people and the people who have no hope. It may sound selfish, but that is my main goal."

"Not at all," disagreed Izuku. "The world could use heroes like you." Eva pulled into a hug and proceeded to cry.

***

The two of them were now in the waiting room with Aizawa and Recovery Girl. They were watching the news report. The two students were now back in their school uniform.

"Kai Chisaki, the young head of a formerly prominent yakuza group, was arrested for abduction and a young girl. And more heavy crimes. As police transported him, however, they were attacked by the League of Villains. During the incident, the Sand Hero, Snatch, who was serving as an escort, was killed. There were also members of the law enforcement who were injured. This attack on a villain in custody is an unprecedented failure. Officials have also confirmed."

"This is the only thing they've reported on since yesterday," Recovery Girl said.

"It isn't something you should feel responsible for," Aizawa spoke. They looked at their teacher. "Please try not to blame yourself."

"Yeah, okay," Izuku breathed as he looked away.

"Good news is, most everyone's headed back to class," Aizawa revealed. The doctors wanna monitor Togata a little longer. But Recovery Girl was able to completely heal the rest of the students involved in the raid, besides Yuki." Eva stared at the tips of her fingers, her arm was out of the cast but still wrapped up. "They're gathering their things now."

"I'll stick around a little while longer and heal a few more patients since I'm here," Recovery Girls said as she got up.

"I'll stay too," Izuku said. "I want to be here for Eri whenever she wakes up."

"I'm afraid she's still too dangerous for that," Aizawa said. "Right now, we need to trust that the doctors will help her."

"Yeah, I get that," Izuku said as he looked away. "But I was hoping I could..."

"She'll be fine," Aizawa assured.

"Okay, then," Izuku sighed. "I wanna see Togata before I leave, though. I'll be right back. Please watch my stuff!" Izuku put his staff on the chairs.

"Hold on," Aizawa tried to call him back. "We're leaving soon." There was no stopping him. "Yuki." Eva looked at him. "You are never to feel guilty about your past with the Hassaikai, and the Good people shouldn't as well."

"But, sir," Eva began.

"We heroes take responsibility for not being a pillar of support," Aizawa said. "If you had to turn that group of villains, then we were certainly not doing our jobs correctly. More importantly, they died trying to get Eri away from the place." Eva nodded.

"More importantly," Recovery Girl began. "You need to be eating more honey and drinking more milk! If you have tears and magic to heal, then you need to make sure you are doing everything you can to not lose them! The stronger the magic, the stronger the healing!"

"She's right," said Dr. Kent walking up to them, he bowed to Recovery Girl. "I, too, will stay here a bit longer and help."

"But not everyone believes in magic," Eva answered. "Or fairies."

"I don't care! You know you are real and that's all that should matter!" Recovery Girl complained, Eva blinked then she laughed lightly.

"You are kind of sounding like Katsuki," Eva revealed. "He always said that when we were younger." Recovery Girl went to take care of a few more people.

"When Eri is better she will be coming to live on campus," Aizawa revealed. "That way I will be around if something goes wrong, but also you are there to help watch over her. "You have a very important job, not only filling in as a caretaker but as a big sister or a mother." Eva looked at him. "You have a similar case to Eri, both of you were three when your mom left. Connect with the girl, help her feel safe." Eva nodded. "Teach her what your mom taught you." Eva shook her head.

"My mom taught me a lot of things that were essential to my physical being," Eva explained. "I can teach her everything I learned from Ms. Midoriya though." Aizawa nodded. "Mr.--I mean Eraserhead...could you have the hospital figure out what clothes size Eri is? Shoes as well?"

"That can be done," Aizawa confirmed. "I can ask." He then walked off to find someone.

"Wait," said Dr. Kent following him. "There are matters that are to be discussed between us." Aizawa nodded.

Soon, Eva was waiting outside for the other students when Izuku came out.

"How's Mirio?" Eva asked.

"He's going to be okay," Izuku answered as he grabbed his stuff. "He's not going to give up. And when Eri is older and has a better grasp of her quirk, she can possibly use rewind on him to gain his quirk back."

"That's great!" Eva smiled.

"What are you doing?" Izuku asked as he looked over her shoulder. "Kids' clothes?"

"Oh, " Eva breathed. "I am one of the people who's going to be taking care of Eri, so I'm looking for clothes for her."

"What? Really?" Izuku asked. "That's amazing!" He then pulled down the screen on her phone. He saw the notifications of 100 missed calls from Katsuki, and all of them had voicemails. "Are you going to call him back?"

"Let's just focus on Eri," Eva said as she went back to her clothes.

"Midoriya! Yuki!" Kirishima exclaimed as the hospital doors opened.

"Kirishima!" Eva smiled as he ran up to them.

"Did you two get all healed up?" Kirishima asked.

"Yeah," Izuku answered. "I'm all good now. Thank you."

"I got some nerve damage that should just take a few weeks, but I am all good," Eva answered. "How about you?"

"I'm doing just great!" Kirishima exclaimed as he gave a thumbs-up. He took Eva's hands and stared at the finger damage. "Bakugo is going to lose his head."

"If he sees it," Eva stated.

"You already have 100 missed calls and 100 voicemails," Izuku reminded her. "Tread carefully through these waters." Eva gave a light smile.

"Izuku Midoriya, Eijiro Kirishima, and Eva Yuki?" an officer asked, walking up to them. The three of them looked over. "I'm sorry to bother you three right after your discharge. But we'd like you to come down to the station with us. We have some questions about the incident."

"Yes, sir," Kirishima responded.

"Anything you need," Izuku said as Eva nodded. With that, they didn't return to the dorms till the sun went down.

"Deku! Kirishima! Yuki!" Urakaka called out as they started to make their way to the building.

"Urakaka! Tsu!" Kirishima called out they saw the two girls walking over to them, and Urakaka was happily waving.

"Oh, wow, are you, two girls, just getting back to the dorms now, too?" Izuku asked.

"Yup!" Urakaka confirmed.

"There were a lot of last-minute forms to fill out in Ryukyu's office," Tsu informed.

"We did that, too," Kirishima said as he scratched the back of his head.

"You know what feels weird?" Urakaka asked.

"What is it?" Eva asked.

"It feels like we haven't been here in a long time," Urakaka answered as they looked at the dorms.

"Yeah," Tsu agreed.

"Well? Let's go," Kirishima urged. They nodded, and as soon as they opened the doors, they were bombarded by their classmates.

"Oh, there you guys are!" Mineta cried, running up to them. "It's about time you showed up!"

"All of us were worried about you," Yaoyorozu added.

"Yeah, we saw the news," Kaminari added.

"It looked terrifying!" Ashido cried.

"Is anyone hurt?" Sero asked.

"What troublemakers," Mineta scolded.

"Tell us everything!" Aoyama pleaded.

"I made these for you," Sato said as he held up a plate. "It's a double chocolate honey cake."

"First Camino and now the Yakuza," Kaminari said as he stepped up. "You guys are always getting involved into such crazy situations. Do you know how much that scares us?"

"Yeah," Izuku breathed.

"We're so sorry," Eva apologized as Ashido grabbed onto her.

"I'm just glad they're okay," Shoji said.

" I mean, I dunno. Are they?" Jiro asked. "How can we be sure?

"Ochacho! Tsu!" Hagakure cried as she pulled the two girls into a hug. "Thank goodness you're both okay!"

"That's a little tight," Urakaka informed.

"Ribbit," Tsu agreed.

"What happened to your fingers?" Mina asked as everyone was trying to talk at the same time.

"Just some nerve damage," Eva said. "I'll be fine." Ashido cried out lots of tears as she shook Eva back and forth. She saw Todoroki take a step outside.

"In that case, I know excellent oils that can help with the pain," Yaoyorozu said.

"I don't recall seeing anything about a fire," Ashido said.

"It was silver," Eva said. Ashido cried more as she shook Eva more, and Yaoyorozu gasped.

"Enough of this," Iida ordered as he put a hand into the air as he got in front. "I know everyone was worried. But calm down! We all saw news coverage. Our classmates have been through an ordeal. If you want to help, you should console them quietly and let them rest their bodies and their minds. Because I'm sure today wasn't taxing just physically, but mentally as well!"

"Hey, um. Iida," Izuku began. "Thanks for that. But really. This is okay."

"Then..."Iida began as he pushed up his glasses. "If I may. " He began to shake Izuku. "Do you have any idea how worried I was for all of you? It was awful! What if you'd never returned?"

"Take your own advice and chill out!" Sero scolded.

"Where's Katsuki?" Eva asked.

"He should be over on the couch," Sero answered.

"I'll go make some lavender tea," Yaoyorozu said as she ran off toward the kitchen. "One moment. It's sure to ease your minds."

"At least have a little bit of cake," Sato insisted as he tried to shove it into Izuku's mouth.

"Ochaco, you all right?" Tsu asked.

"I--I want to save people," Urakaka said as she looked at her hands.

"Aw, why the heck didn't you tell us what was goin' on, man?" Sero asked as he dragged Kirishima into him. "We were totally blindsided by this."

"Sorry," Kirishima apologized. "We were sworn to secrecy."

"Hey, so..." Ashido began as she stepped up. "I'm glad you're okay."

"Yeah. Getting there anyway," Kirishima said.

"Right, got it," Ashido breathed as she held the bunny in her arms closer.

"Oh! What a cutie!" Urakaka smiled as she walked up.

"Oh, it's Koda's bunny," Ashido revealed. "Do you guys wanna hold it for a little while?"

"Ribbit," Tsu agreed,

"Ooh, me next!" Hagakure pleaded as the bunny got handed off.

"Adorable!" Eva smiled.

"Yo, Kacchan," Kaminari greeted going by him. "What're you over here sulking for? Admit, you're out here cause you were worried, amiright? I heard those voicemails you left for Yuki. Aw, let those feelings out, why don't ya?"

"Time for bed," Katsuki said as he got up, Kaminari flopped on the couch.

"What? Seriously?" Kaminari asked. "But it's so early."

"Unlike the rest of you nerds, I've got stuff to do," Katsuki said as he walked towards his room.

"Hey, you guys," Todoroki greeted as he walked in. "I'm glad you're all back and everyone's safe, but I gotta get to bed."

"Huh?" Kaminari asked. "Since when am I surrounded by geezers?"

"I understand, Katsuki," Eva said as she was handed the bunny.

"But Todoroki wants to leave the party, this early, too?" Tsu asked.

"They've got their provisional license training course tomorrow," Jiro said. "But still, it is pretty early." Izuku shoved a piece of the cake into Eva's mouth as Koda took back his bunny. After some tea, they all went up to their rooms to get some rest. Eva sat on the balcony, curled up in her chair. She was staring up at the sky. Her body was exhausted, but she couldn't sleep.

"You are going to catch a cold," a voice said as a blanket went over her, and a body was next to her. Eva felt her face get cupped and Katsuki kissed her cheek and head multiple times.

"I thought you went to bed," Eva said lightly after a few minutes.

"I can't sleep till I know you're okay," Katsuki said squished up to her, he snaked his arm around her mid-back; pulling her closer to her. "I knew something was on your mind...I didn't think it was this." He took both of her hands; observing them. "Silver again?"

"I had to take the silver out again, that's why my fingers are damaged," Eva informed.

"Does it make you feel weak still?" Katsuki asked.

"Well, I am weak towards silver, but no," Eva answered. Katsuki looked down at her. "If someone uses silver against me in a fight, that means they know they can't win without it, exploiting that they are weak."

Katsuki started to laugh with his head back. "It's about damn time I rubbed off on you." He gently kissed the side of her head. "Was this the thing that made you cry last night?"

"Oh, no," Eva denied. "It was something else."

Katsuki looked at her. "Which bastard?"

"If I tell you, you can't beat up the person," Eva said.

"I am not making no damn promise," Katsuki growled.

"Just wait till tomorrow then," Eva suggested,

"Fine," Katsuki grunted. "Just tell me who and why they made you cry?" Eva turned, she pulled his head close, whispering the answer in his ear. When she pulled away, she saw that he was covered in red anger like from the festival. "I'm going to kill that damn nerd!" He looked at her, Eva was falling asleep next to him. She hadn't felt sleep till he showed up, Eva guesses she just needed some comfort from the right person. Once she fell asleep, Katsuki carried Eva into her dorm, placed her under the blankets, and got under, too.

*****

The next day, Eva spent time with the girls, including the ones from Class 1-B. They were just having some fun painting nails, distracting the work-study students from yesterday. Eva mainly focused on painting her toenails.

****

September came to an end October was starting. Eva was beginning to get a bit irritated, her fingers hadn't slightly healed yet, and it was shedding time. In one class, Katsuki went particularly hard on Izuku during training. He was quick to figure out why.

However, with that, everyone was coming to terms with everything they had been through. All Might and Mr. Aizawa took those of us who were involved in the Shie Hassaikai raid to Sir Nighteye's funeral. It was one last chance to say goodbye to him. The teachers and hero agencies talked about the program and decided to put it on hold. Nighteye's sidekick Centipeder, took over the agency. He and Bubble Girl eagerly await Togata's return to their ranks. As for Eri...she regained consciousness and recovered, but she was still emotionally unstable and her Quirk could go out of control at any time, so the hospital had to take precautions, and she couldn't have visitors. The doctors did discover the horn on her forehead seemed to power her Rewind Quirk. As her fever went down, it began to shrink. Now it's little more than a bump.

*****

They were now in math class.

"The equation isn't difficult to solve," Ectoplasm said as he wrote on the board. "Calculate the definite integral. When you have an answer raise your hand."

"Start by carrying the yay," Kaminari said as he went out. Eva looked over to see Sero was having a hard time, Sero then looked over for hope for answers from her. Her attention was grabbed by the growling in front of her and the arm going into the air.

"Midoriya," Ectoplasm called on him.

"107/14," Izuku answered.

"Incorrect!" Ectoplasm said. Another hand went up. "Yaoyorozu!"

"107/28," Yaoyorozu answered.

"That's right!" Ectoplasm confirmed. "Onto the next problem."

"That was almost smart," Mineta said as he looked at Izuku. "Too bad you screwed up." Soon, the class was over.

"You really seemed into that class, Deku," Urakaka said as she, Iida, and Eva stood at his desk.

"Yes!" Iida agreed. "I applaud the effort you're putting into your studies! However, before we feed our brains, we need to feed our bodies!"

"Mm-hm!" Izuku nodded. "I'm starvin--" He got cut off by cheese going into his mouth.

"Please," Aoyama said. "Have some Fromage. He winked.

"Where'd you even come from?!" Izuku asked as the cheese flew out of his mouth and then back in. "Thank you."

"This cheese is called Pont la veque," Aoyama said as he held up more cheese. "It's mild and perfect for snacking." He offered more.

"Oh! I'm good" Izuku said. "Still chewin' on the piece I already have in my mouth, uh, but thanks anyway."

"Why don't you come have lunch with us in the cafeteria?" Eva offered.

"I've noticed you usually eat by yourself, Aoyama," Iida added as he stuck out a hand.

"Non!" Aoyama denied after putting the cheese away. "Lunch Rush's food doesn't agree with my refined palate." He had a very elegant plate and drink.

"Well, to each their own, I suppose," Iida said as they made their way out of the room. "We're not going to force you. Now. Time to eat." Soon night came around, Eva was up pretty late, she was studying material she missed due to the work-study, as well as looking at cute stuff for Eri. She had some music playing, but nothing too loud to wake Tsu or Yaoyorozu. It seemed she wasn't the only one awake either; she was texting Shinso at the same time. Then her phone started to ring. She looked over to see that Izuku was calling, and she looked at the clock to see that it was 4 in the morning.

"Izuku?" Eva asked as she picked up the phone. "Is everything alright?"

"Can I come to sleep in your room for the night?" Izuku asked. "Something's creeping me out."

"Sure," Eva answered slowly. The phone went dead, and in seconds, Izuku was barging through her window with his All Might pillow. "Izuku?"

"Aoyama left a very cryptic message on my balcony in cheese," Izuku answered as he got into bed. "He was staring into my bedroom. Good night." He then put his head toward the wall. He then slowly looked over at her. "Why are you up?"

"Oh, I'm just going over the material we missed," Eva said as she looked back at the textbook. "But I think I'm done for the night." She closed the textbook and then shut off the music. "Move over, I get the wall."

"You sent Kacchan to me, I have the wall," Izuku argued. Eva put her wing under him and simply moved him. "You can get the wall, that's fine." Eva looked over to see that her phone had lit up. "Why is Shinso texting you this late? Is this what you call studying?"

"Go to sleep!" Eva ordered putting her hand over his mouth. "And keep your eyes off my phone!"

The next day, Eva was at Yaoyorozu's desk as Iida yelled at the door.

"Don't run in the hall!" Iida shouted.

"Go, go, go!" Urakaka shouted as she jumped up and down behind him.

"But do move your legs as quickly as possible!" Iida shouted.

"And safe! Whew!" Urakaka cheeed.

"Only one minute to class!" Iida informed. "You barely made it. And are you getting enough sleep lately? I see those dark circles."

"You're right," Izuku agreed. "Sorry, Class Rep!" Soon class was over Eva was at Tokoyami's desk with Kaminari, they were talking to Mineta and Jiro.

"Whoa, Mineta. Take a look at this," Kaminari said as he showed his phone.

"Is it X-rated?" Mineta asked.

"Suitable for children," Kaminari answered. "Mt. Lady and Edgeshot have teamed up! Kamui Woods is gonna be joining 'em, too!"

"Mt. Lady," Mineta sweated. "So big. So hot."

"No surprise to Kamui Woods," Eva said. "He and Mt. Lady already team up a lot."

"I think they're going by Team Lurkers," Jiro said. "I saw it mentioned in the news earlier."

"There sure are a buncha heroes teaming up these days," Kaminari said.

"My sexy giantess is getting famous," Mineta gleamed.

"Once we're pros, we should do some team-ups, too!" Ashido suggested. "Here's an idea! You can make me float, and we can make acid rain!"

"Sounds intense," Urakaka said as they stepped out.

"Ooh, hey, and Sero can use his tape to fly me around. Eva can also fly me around as well!" They had their suitcases, Eva was stepping out of the class with Sero and Jiro.

"Huh? What're you talking about?" Sero asked.

"Koda Shoji and Jiro will be scouts," Ashido continued. "Oh, oh! We'll be called Team Rainy Day!"

"Woo-hoo!" Jiro cheered.

"What about us?" Kaminari and Mineta asked.

"Don't need you!" Ashido answered.

"You can't just look at Quirks when you're teaming up," Yaoyorozu said Mineta and Kaminari went into a phase of doom. Poking fingers. "You have to choose people you get along with, too."

"I think you're making it worse," Hagakure said.

"Everyone should be moving toward the gym now!" Iida instructed. "Get yourselves into your costumes!" Soon they were in the gym.

"All right, class," Cementoss began. "Today we'll continue working on your ultimate moves. If you haven't found a second ability, focus on finding one. If you already have two, then work on refining them until they're flawless."

"Unbreakable!" Kirishima shouted as he hardened up.

"Ooh!" Ashido cheered.

"Bakugo, Sato, Midoriya! Please use me as your own personal punching bag!" Kirishima requested.

"Dude, that sounds super weird," Sato admitted.

"Sorry, doing some solo work today," Izuku apologized.

"That's okay," Kirishima said.

"So, you made any progress yet?" Katsuki asked pushing past Izuku.

"No, not really," Izuku denied as he lowered his head.

"What's the matter, nerd?" Katsuki asked. "I thought you were gonna surpass me and be number one. Kirishima! Let me Howitzer you."

"Bring it!" Kirishima encouraged.

"Whoa, no way!" Sato gasped. "You'll blow up the entire building!"

"Yuki," Tokoyami said as he touched her shoulder. "You are a person of flight, right?"

"You are interested in flying?" Eva asked. "Let me help."

"Splendid," Tokoyami said. "An idea I got from Hawks. He said those of us who can fly, should fly."

"Wise words," Eva said as she looked up to the highest pillar. She grabbed onto Tokoyami and then flew up. The two began to work together. As they worked, Eva got the chance to work on her moves and use them against Dark Shadow. Eva seemed disapproved at the way this was going, then she remembered something Snow Bug said to her.

"What is it?" Tokoyami asked.

"It's something Snow Bug said to me," Eva said. "As silly as it may sound, you need to get over the fear of falling, meet me outside the dorms later. Plus, I can help you get more of a feel this way."

"Right," Tokoyami agreed. Soon classes ended, and everyone was inside as Eva was outside with Tokoyami. She had him stand on the bench right outside the building. Then she pushed him off. "Is this really necessary?"

"Just get used to the feeling of falling," Eva instructed. "It's better we do it at this height than pushing you out of a tree."

"She's right ya know," Dark Shadow agreed. "Fall into the darkness! Push him off higher!" Eva laughed.

"Try having Dark Shadow form wings of some sort," Eva instructed. "Earlier, I was just carrying you around, but now you need the wings."

"First, flight," Tokoyami instructed.

"All right," Eva agreed as she grabbed onto him. "What speed? And where to?"

"Around campus, and not too fast," Tokoyami instructed. Eva did as she was told Tokoyami was completely amazed. "Flying indoors is truly inferior to flying outdoors."

"You think so?" Eva asked.

"There is much freedom," Tokoyami. "We are one with the wind instead of one with the air blowing at the school."

"Be sure to fly indoors as well," Eva instructed. "Tight maneuvers, but we'll get to that later." Tokoyami nodded. "Once you master flying, not only can it be a battle move, but also just for fun." Eva went high up into the sky, stopping right above a cloud.

"You can see everything from up here," Tokoyami said. "But why did you take me up so high?"

"For the big drops," Eva said. "Those can be pretty hard, ready to fall?"

"I'm not sure this is the best time," Tokoyami said as he began to freak out. "We are so high up!"

"Just think of it as sky diving!" Eva laughed as she suddenly dropped. They went right through the cloud, Tokoyami let out a shout of flight as they got closer to the ground. Then suddenly, they went back to flying, and soon they were right by where their dorms. Eva circled around the building before coming to a clean stop. "Well?"

"Your techniques are strange," Tokoyami admitted. "But I can see why you did it. In the process, you showed me the many aspects and dangers of flying."

"Guys!" Iida shouted sticking his head out the door, they looked up. "Dinner is ready! Come in before it gets cold!"

"Coming!" Eva responded.

"One more time," Tokoyami requested. "There is much I need to learn. Master the darkness within, master darkness of flight."

"We can go after dinner," Eva said. "Night flying, I know Dark Shadow can be a bit hard in the dark, but this will be the perfect time to have him come out."

"Yes," Tokoyami agreed as they looked at the doors. "Then at least up to the door."

"Sure," Eva agreed. She grabbed him, flying up the stairs, and into the room.

"Tokoyami!" Kaminari smiled. "Isn't flying with her just the best!"
