Chapter 3

The radiant, orange, red and yellow sun rose over the jungle, the birds singing, the monkeys making noises, and the Elephants trumpeting. As for Yuuto, he was waking up next to his baby sister.

"KAA-SAN!" he called waking the older man up.

"Yuu-chan, you're up!"

Yuuto rubbed his eyes and gazed at the man. "I watched my mother being killed by a tiger." Yuuto let some tears out.

The older man sighed. "That tiger has claimed a lot of lives." the man patted Yuuto's head.

"But why my mum?" he cried.

The man sat next to him. "The tiger killed Jirou-chan's mum as well, and even Toramaru-chan's father, and many more."

Yuuto looked down. "How am I going to tell everyone?"

Slowly, the man raised Yuuto up and put him on his shoulders. "I will think of something." He picked Haruna up and into his arms as well.

Mamoru's eyes glistened as he saw Yuuto. "YUUTO-KUN!! YOU'RE OKAY!"

Yuuto gave a weak smile. "Yeah, I'm okay."

Jirou ate a mang.o "Everyone was worried!" he spoke with a mouthful of mango, so the juice was spitting all over Mamoru.

"What happen after we left?" asked Ichirouta.

The man put Yuuto down. "He's too upset to speak about it - I will speak to the others."

Ichirouta looked to Yuuto. "Whats he talking about?"

"My mother died. She was taken by the tiger."

Mamoru seemed shocked. "How on earth weren't you behind us the whole time we ran back?"

Yuuto shook his head. "I wasn't. I stayed and watched the tiger take her."

Jirou felt his heart go. "That tiger killed my mum."

A rough kid pushed Jirou out the way. "A tiger, you say? Hah! I can take that tiger down with my eyes closed!"

"Akio, you're just a kid, like us." Yuuto spoke.

"You have to use your head, you know." Akio laughed.

Mamoru looked at him while Ichirouta cleared his throat. "Yes, but sometimes using your head can get you killed."

"I don't think the kids should be going near the dry lands." The man spoke, holding a little girl in his arms.

"Well, Hitoshiro, the kids should have paid attention. But apart from that, YOSHIROU did tell the kids that the dry lands is bad." a man spoke with a sort of soft and rough deep voice.

"HOW IS IT MY FAULT?! EVERY PARENT MUST TELL THEIR CHILD, NOT JUST ME!!" Yoshirou yelled.

"That's enough!" Daisuke yelled.

Hitoshiro held the little girl in his arms. "Anyway, the latest victim we lost to the tiger happened to be Yuuto and Haruna's mother."

Seigou looked at the little girl. "She seems to taken a liking to you. As of now, you will be Yuuto and Haruna's new dad.

Hitoshiro nodded. "Arigatou. I will take care of them both!"
