Chapter 4

William showed to be the perfect gentleman. He was okay with me driving my own car into town so I could run some errands after. He suggested to come with me but I hatted shopping with others. I used to go shopping with my best friend but she moved to Europe a few months back to yeah. That wasn't happening anymore.

"So, the cottage is yours now. What are you going to do with it? I guess you are still in school right?" William and me were sitting at a bar that also served pretty good food. Nothing all to fancy and I was happy about that.
"Yeah, I am" I admitted, "I am off for the summer now, I study medicine." I told him with a faint grin. He seemed surprised like everybody new who I told I studied medicine.
"Wow, that is smart people stuff."
"Don't tell me you don't do smart people stuff" I huffed at him taking a sip of my fresh orange juice. This was honestly my favorite drink in the world. You could wake me up at night for this. If it had the perfect sweet and sour mixture though.

William nodded. "True, but I never studied for it, I was just in the right place at the right time and it only got better from there." He was drinking something fancy with alcohol which I already forgot the name from. I didn't care much for alcohol. Sometimes at parties but usually I just left it.

"So, what do you do then?" I tilted my head a little and he started laughing. "God you look cute when you do that. But really, I don't want to bore you. It's office stuff. Buying, selling." He shrugged as I turned red. Cute... was I cute. He shook his head probably realizing he made me nervous. I was so happy he wasn't commenting on my now fiery red cheeks.

Rest of lunch was easy made of light conversation. Just talks about the weather. Tv-shows we liked, music, food. He was easy to talk to. He was older than me, twenty-nine. Axel was twenty-five.
Was it a bad thing that I kept thinking about my ex? This wasn't a date? Right? That was what I thought. Until we parted ways anyway and William took my hand.

Miss Emory, it was a pleasure to get to know you and I most definitely hope that we can do this again." He pulled my hand to his lips and kissed the top of my hand gently looking me straight into the eyes making my heart beat faster wow. How was it possible for a kiss on the hand to feel so... intense?

I nodded vaguely "Yes, me... me too." I muttered. I really was to stunned to speak really. I still couldn't believe what was happening here. He liked me? Right? I don't know. It was weird. And more important. Did I like him?
