"Look mama, I'm gonna do a back flip!" Bunny shouted to her mother as she jumped on the trampoline, who stood nearby holding a camera. Giggling the girl threw her body back, successfully flipping backwards and landing back in position. The cheers of her mother and friends could be heard, causing her to do a small dance of happiness. Alexia smiled sadly, watching the old recordings of the little girl's happiest moments. A single year slipped out, remembering the memories that the two of them created together. A few days had passed since they buried the child, only getting harder and harder for the young mother to handle. She missed her daughter dearly, hated having to walk past the empty bedroom every night. The house was always silent, a void needing to be filled by the girl's giggles. Sighing, she forced herself up as she went to the kitchen to get some water. Grabbing her glass cup, she quickly fixed a glass and began to drink. It helped her relax a bit.
"You look like a mess." A voice suddenly spoke up, causing her to quickly turn around with a knife in hand. It was non other than William, who had an amused smile on his face. Sighing, she put the knife back on the counter as an angry glare was shot at the male.
"You've gotta stop coming inside my house without warning me."
"Well I just came by to drop off a little gift for you." He said, confusing her. What gift did he have for her, and should she be afraid of it? She went to ask about this gift, but was quickly silenced by the sound of footsteps coming through the living room. Chills ran through her body as she turned to the entrance, dropping her cup only to have to shatter on impact. She felt her blood run cold as she stood there, staring into the lifeless eyes of her daughter. Bunny stood in there staring right back at her mother as she walked right over to them. The right side of her face was covered in stitches, which were bruising and even bleeding a small bit. Her hair was a mess, matted and dirty from dirt and even a bit of blood. Her once white dress had stains of blood and some other fluid in it. Her arms were stitched and bandaged tightly, along with her legs which were bruising badly. The girl was still as pale as ever, as if there was no blood coursing through her body. And she had ears.....wolf ears. There was also a long fluffy tail to match. Alexia felt speechless, unable to make a single sound as she continued to watch her child walk. Her steps were stiff as she finally made it, standing by William with a plain expression. In her arms she gripped the golden plush tightly, who too had faded and become dirty.
"B.....Bunny." Here hand covered her mouth as she continued to stare at her daughter. Her legs shook, she was in pure shock at the moment. She didn't look alive at all, she looked like a zombie child. This wasn't her little princess, this was just some.....freak show. "William what did you do to my daughter?"
"I brought her back, just like you asked." He said, placing a hand on the girl's freezing cold shoulder. Her tail twitched as she is pushed towards her mother, who backed away from the two and fell to the floor in shock. Bunny stood there, head tilting as a sickening popping noise escaped.
"Didn't you miss me mommy?" She asked, voice quiet and shaky as she knelt down, now sitting on her knees with her hands in her lap. Her eyes were now a dull brown, missing any life that was inside them before. "I missed you a lot." She reached out to hug her mother, but instead was pushed away.
"Get away from me!!" Alexia shouted, pushing the girl to the floor. She quickly got up, grabbing the same kitchen knife and pointing it at the confused child. Will only shook his head, carefully helping Bunny back to her feet.
"This what you wanted right? You said you wanted your daughter back, so I brought her back for you." He said as Bunny left the room, going into the living room. She gave her mother a small glare as she left the room, Will shaking his head even more. "This is what you asked for, now you have to deal with it."
"That is not my daughter, that's a freak show that needs to put back in the circus." She said, not realizing the child was standing in the other room. Ears flattened into her head, she closed her eyes and cuddled the plush tightly to her chest.
"It's okay, I don't think you're a freak."
