Chapter 14
Summer started off chaotic, between summer homework; and her jobs, Myla was all over the place and barely home. She would wake up at 5 am and wouldn't get home till after 8 pm sometimes. This was Myla's schedule for the most part.

12:30 pm - 1:30 pm Mind Lessons with Snape. It was held in a building that had doors that opened to Knockturn Alley and Diagon Alley. Apparently, a lot of meetings took place here, and there was a room reserved for the days Myla had to meet up with Professor Snape.

Friday - Sunday, Myla had the days to herself to do whatever she wants. Mainly, just hanging with her siblings, in the greenhouse, and sometimes hanging with friends. She had certainly gone through a lot of Floo powder, Myla was more than thankful to Ginny who kept up on the greenhouse while she was away at Hogwarts.
Molly Weasley was more than fine with Myla's schedule, said it would keep her out of trouble; always made sure to have food ready for when she got home. Myla still kept up with her knack for stealing; loads of people visited her at the shops, and Lucius Malfoy always rolled his eyes whenever he saw her. Even Seika managed to make a stop here and there, only if Halle was with her. Neville came to visit her a lot, sometimes he was with his grandmother who was slowly growing to like Myla, or with Seamus and Dean.
It was now Wednesday, and Myla had just finished her shift at the bookstore.
"Psst!" a voice whispered. Myla looked around. "Psst!" She looked over to see Mr. Borgin standing in the archway that divided Diagon and Knockturn. Myla had a habit of going into Knocturn alley during the longer breaks.
"Mr. Borgin?" Myla asked; striding over to the alley, but when she got closer he disappeared around the corner. She went all the way into Borgin and Burke's shop. The shop was quite large, dusty, and dimly lit, with a large stone fireplace, a glass case nearby held a withered hand on a cushion, a blood-stained pack of cards, and a staring glass eye. Evil-looking masks stared down from the walls, an assortment of human bones lay upon the counter, and rusty, spiked instruments hung from the ceiling. The owner was standing in the corner with a large manikin with organs visible, and a skeleton behind it.
"It is due to my understanding, you have a knack for the dark arts," Mr. Borgin asked. "I was going to gift the youngest potion's inventor this for Christmas...but thought it'd cause trouble." Myla walked over, tilting her head. "It's a test manikin." Myla looked at him. "Do you know the mending spell?"
"Of course," Myla nodded as she looked back at the manikin.
"Exvellent," Borgin smiled. "With this, you can test all your inventions on this, from potions to spells of all kinds."
"It's brilliant," Myla smiled. "I can't afford this."
"That is why it is a gift," Borgin informed. "Use it well...we all expect extraordinary things from you...and if you want to keep it a secret--"
"I can't use magic outside of Hogwarts," Myla reminded him.
"But you can use patterns," Borgin smiled wickedly as he held up a piece of paper. He tapped the manikin in a certain order and then transformed it into a small pocket-size key chain. "Now get going before you are late for the apothecary shop.
At the shop, Myla learned so much about other potions ingredients, and the owner was delighted to have her in the shop. Said it attracted more customers, which meant sales were better. The lessons with Snape were not too bad, since they were only about an hour. There was a lot of note-taking, and mind work.
"Legiliemency is a magic that can not be detected when one is underage by the ministry," Snape instructed. "There are ones that are born naturally with the gift."
He had her practice on her family members or customers in the store. With this, she was able to figure out who mastered the art of Occulmency.
One day, Myla came home with a flyer from the bookstore.
"Please tell me it's nothing barbaric," Molly pleaded as she looked up to the sky.
"It's about Gilderoy Lockhart," Myla informed; the flyer got snatched from her hands. "Signing his new book Magical Me. If we plan carefully we can all go on the same day we go for our Hogwarts supplies....well, I will be working at the shop, but I can get you signed books." Mom started to pat her upper chest at the thought of even seeing Lockhart in person.
"Anything else?" Mom asked.
"I was given time off from the Apothercay due to Lockhart's book thing," Myla informed. "Which means I should be at Flourish and Blotts all day." Summer was rather great, except for the fact that Harry hasn't written back, not even once, or visited her at the shops. It was now August 4th, and Myla was given the morning off at the potions shop. The owner was out of town for the week. She was currently in the greenhouse; crushing up floo for some powder. She heard an engine coming toward the house; she peeked out the window to see the Ford Angelina, and it was being driven by Fred with George next to him. Myla walked out; as the car stopped in front of the house.
"You would never guess who we picked up on the way, sis," George said as he got out of the car.
"Found his picking the nose of a banshee," Fred added as he turned off the engine.
"Those are all lies," a voice said as they got out of the car, it was Harry Potter.
"Was it a banshee or was it a Hewdig's nose?" Myla asked.
"Oh shut up," Harry ordered as Ron got out; Myla reached over petting one of the pigs climbing up.
" Still got the mornings off?" Ron asked as they made their way into the home.
"Just at the potion shop," Myla answered as her brothers grabbed biscuits off the table. Harry was amazed at the dishes being cleaned themselves, and a sweater in midst of making.
"It's not much, but it's home," Ron said with a mouth full of food.
"I think it's brilliant," Harry complimented.
Mum suddenly appeared downstairs with the aura of a saber-tooth tiger. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" The three brothers put the biscuits behind their backs. "Harry, how wonderful to see you, dear?" She then turned to her sons. "BEDS EMPTY! NOT NOTE! CAR GONE! YOU COULD'VE DIED! YOU COULD'VE BEEN SEEN! YOU JUST WAIT UNTIL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME, WE NEVER HAD TROUBLE LIKE THIS FROM BILL OR CHARLIE OR PERCY!"
"Perfect Percy," muttered Fred.
"YOU COULD DO WELL WITH TAKING A LEAF OUT OF PERCY'S BOOK!" Mum shouted; she turned to Harry. "Of course, I don't blame you, Harry dear."
"They were starving him, Mum," Ron informed. "There were bars on his window."
"Well, you best hope I don't put bars on your window, Ronald Weasley," Mum threatened, she then turned to Myla. "What time do you have to meet with Professor Snape again?"
"12:30," Myla answered. "Then I'll be at the bookstore after."
Mom then looked at Harry. "Come on, Harry, time for a spot of breakfast." Soon they had all sat down for breakfast.
Ginny's footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs. "Mummy, have you seen my jumper?"
"Yes, dear, it was on the cat," Mum informed.
"Hello," Harry greeted. Ginny slowly backed up with wide eyes, before dashing back up the stairs. George, Fred, and Myla all looked at each other giggling. "What did I do?"
"Ginny," Myla informed.
"She's been talking about you all summer," Ron added. "A bit annoying really."
"Morning, Weasleys," Dad greeted appearing behind them at the door.
"Morning dad," everyone lit up.
"What a night! What a night!" Dad raved as he went to put his stuff away. Nine raids! Nine!"
"Raids?" Harry asked.
"Dad works in the Ministry of Magic," Myla informed.
"Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office," Ron added. "Dad loves Muggles and thinks they're fascinating." dad kissed mum on the cheek before taking a seat at the head of the table.
"And who are you?" Dad asked looking at their guest.
"Oh, sorry sir," Harry apologized. "I'm Harry sir, Harry potter."
"Good lord, are you really?" Dad asked. "Well, Ron and Myla have told us all about you, of course. Hope my daughter hasn't been a bad influence on you."
"Not at all," Harry denied.
"When did he get here?" Dad asked.
"This morning," Mom answered looking at him. "Your sons flew that enchanted car of yours to Surrey and back last night."
"Did you really?" Dad asked in delight. "How'd it ho?" the boys started to speak happily before mom hit him. "I mean...that was very wrong, indeed boys. Very wrong of you." Looks were exchanged across the table. "Now, Harry, you must know all about Muggles. Tell me what exactly is the function of a rubber duck?" After breakfast, Myla went upstairs to get ready for work. She found Ginny laying on her bed; staring at the ceiling.
"You can't stay up here forever," Myla said as she began to fix her hair. "Harry is with us for the rest of the summer."
"Rest of the summer?" Ginny asked sitting up.
"Yep," Myla said. "Being shy is your normalcy, being around him more can you be confident about being yourself around him."
"Thanks, big sis," Ginny said as she swung her legs around.
"Oh, and dad's home," Myla informed. "I'm sure he'd want to see you." Ginny nodded; then stared out the window. Myla threw on a tan jean dress, black tights underneath, and a shirt underneath as well. Ginny was still in the room when Myla left, she was studying the posters on the wall more than usual.
"What time are we expecting your home?" Dad asked when Myla got down to the bottom.
"Closer to eight," Myla answered as she grabbed a satchel from the door. It had some supplies in it; she looked inside to see mum had given her food. "Thanks, mum."
"You get off at 7:30 today, you should be home right after that," Mom said. "Diagon Alley is good during the day, but might as well be Knockturn at night."
"Meeting Neville at the ice cream shop," Myla informed. "His grandmother is going to be at the Leaky Cauldron."
"Oh, alright," Mum smiled in delight. "Just don't linger too long, 8:30 at the latest." With that Myla left for Diagon Alley, and the day went well. Lessons with Snape were coming to an end, he felt she was well of, and school was approaching. Work wasn't too bad, Myla was tasked with making sure the place was spotless. With Lockhart coming in less than ten days, an intense cleaning happened at the beginning and end of Myla's shift.
Now, Myla was making her way to the ice cream shop, and Neville was already outside waving her down.
"Happy belated birthday, Neville!" Myla smiled as she held out a gift for him.
Neville pushed her arm away. "I can't accept this."
"Too bad I'm not going to respect your words," Myla said as she shoved the gift into his arms.
Neville opened the bag, he pulled out a plant red watering globe and two chocolate frogs. "This is so cool!" He lit up. "Thanks, Mimi!" He pulled her into a hug.
"Come on," Myla urged as she dragged him into the ice cream parlor by the sleeve, I have loads to tell you and you are to tell me all about your birthday."

It was now Sunday, just a few more days, and Myla would be at the bookstore all day. With Myla around, Ginny felt more comfortable being herself in front of Harry but still came off as shy, even clumsy. They were all sitting down for breakfast; when Erroll announced his arrival. He slammed right into the window.
"Oh, fetch it will you Percy, please?" Mum requested. Percy walked over to the window.
"He's always going that," Ron groaned as Erroll hopped onto the window.
Percy lit up when he opened the mail. "Oh, look, it's our Hogwarts letters. And they've sent us Harry's as well."
"Dumbledore must know your're here, Harry," Dad noted as Percy handed out the letters. "Doesn't miss a trick that man."
"This lot won't come cheap, Mum," Fred informed.
"The spell books alone are very expensive," George added.
"I can probably swipe some books for you," Myla offered.
"No," Mum denied as she shoved Myla's head down. "There's only one place we're going to get all of this: Diagon Alley."
