Ch. 2

Log 15 |cybertron|

Cybertron;

"Cybertron, my- our home world was a world created by a device known as the AllSpark. With its power, it created a race of dimensional travelers, the Thirteen Primes, and made Cybertron suitable for their habitation. Then... Then there came the rest..."

Iacon;

"-Iacon is the name of the largest city on Cybertron, best known as the hometown of Optimus Prime and the Council of Autobot Elders. The city was protected by a great dome, and was the last city-state to fall to the Decepticons, after which the Autobot resistance moved into the tunnels and bases beneath its surface. Iacon, sometimes called Iacon City, is controlled at the north pole of Cybertron. Iacon often is the planet's capital.

-Iacon functioned as the heart of Autobot territory on Cybertron, and appears to have been the base prior to the departure of and his comrades from the planet. It was termed "greatest of the city-states" for the Autobots on Cybertron.

When the planet suffered from global fuel shortages, Iacon was one of the big cities who monopolized what resources there were. Unlike its rivals, and, Iacon's council gave out rationed fuel to its smaller neighbors. When the Vos-Tarn war broke out, Iacon accepted refugees but decided to let the two cities wipe themselves out: a mistake, as Megatron would use them as a scapegoat to fire up the survivors."

Turns out, information sticks...

"Alpha Trion, Optimus Prime, and Jazz worked at the Hall of Records. The latter two would drink at Maccadam's. The High Council would meet in a tower built over Teletraan-1, which contained the Plasma Energy Chamber and the dormant Omega Supreme. Vector Sigma was also located beneath the city, and Six Lasers Over Cybertron and the Manganese Mountains were nearby. Iacon remained unmolested until the end of the war, as the Autobots also held Kalis, which produced enough fusion energy for the city, and because of the city's formidable anti-aircraft turrets. Art, music, and maintenance of the DataNet continued. The Decepticons infiltrated Teletraan-1 to steal the Chamber so they could poison Cybertron's core with Dark Energon, causing Omega Supreme to crash into the city. When the Autobots left Cybertron on the Ark, Decepticons flooded into the city.

-Shockwave and his Insecticon minions would eventually take up residence in the Autobot's former capital and used conscripted slave labor to build his newest tower. From here, he carried out his brutal regime. Shockwave came to view the entire city and its subjugated citizens as his personal laboratory and saw Autobot guerillas as welcome variables to cull the weak and enhance the strength. Although the Wreckers and other scattered pockets of Autobot resistance attacked Decepticon convoys moving in and out of Iacon, they could not retake the city. They were fed information by Maccadam, who had turned his bar into the hub of the Autobot resistance's spy network.

-Iacon was eventually invaded by Quintessons, who managed to get as far as the Hall of Records before the invasion was foiled. In the heat of battle, the Wrecker Rack n' Ruin destroyed Shockwave's tower with some stolen demolition charges, although Shockwave himself had already escaped Iacon's borders."

Like tape to paper, as humans may put it...

Hall Of Records;

"The Hall of Records, located in the city of Iacon is not open to the public. The information contained within is vast, (stretching from the mythology of a billion years past to the important DataNet transmissions of today), and it all is methodically cataloged, and filled away by monitors such as Orion Pax. The robot in charge of the Hall of Records is the Archivist of Iacon, Alpha Trion who, some suspect, maybe more than meets the eye. During the Great War, the Hall of Records was maintained by a skeleton crew, and a reading room became the informal headquarters of the Autobots.

-It is referred to as the "House of Records" by High Councilor Drivetrain.

-Late in the Great war, the Decepticons stormed the Hall of Records during Iacon's fall and retrieved important files but couldn't decrypt them. But with the amnesiac Optimus Prime- in the mindset of Hall archivist Orion Pax - finally gave Megatron the opportunity to decode the files which they never did.

|Project Iacon Note;

-Project Iacon commenced as Orion Pax began working on decoding the locations of the Cybertronian relics which were hidden on Earth."

You know, all this information might come in handy... for the years to come, that is.

Who knows...

High Council;

"The High Council formed under the rule of Sentinel Zeta Prime as the primary governing body on Cybertron. It was composed of thirteen individuals with the ruling Prime at its head.

-During the Golden Age of Cybertron, Megatron explained his ideas to the Council about using violence as a means of achieving justice. They were displeased by his words before Orion Pax spoke up on his views of achieving justice. The sparks and minds of the Council were moved by Orion's words. Acting off of earlier advice given to them by Alpha Trion they made him a Prime as a result of his speech. In rage, Megatron murdered Halogen and declared open war on Cybertron. Contrail, Ratbat, and Drivetrain were the only known survivors of the Council and all defected to the Decepticons. When he was awoken, was dismayed to learn the state of the High Council.

-Megatron came before the Council, allegedly to call for justice. He arrogantly threatened to remove the old guard by force and demanded to be the next Prime. In contrast, the young Orion Pax was able to move the Council with his words and reason; they chose Orion as someone who may one day be Prime, causing Megatron to cut off ties and turn to violence.

-note; Smokescreen mentioned that Alpha Trion requested Halogen and the High Council to make Orion Pax a Prime."

Ain't I just explaining the past?

•After The War;

"After the war, a new Council was formed to rule the planet. The new Cybertronian council blamed Optimus Prime and his team for the planet's destruction. Ratchet attempted to speak to the Council on this matter but the Council assigned Ratchet the job of hunting down any remaining war criminals. Knowing that this was effectively a banishment and knowing that protesting would only land him in prison, Ratchet reluctantly accepted.

-Jazz answered the Council when they reported to him on Bumblebee's illegal usage of a Space Bridge which prompted them to place a bounty on him. Drift and Fracture both attempted to claim the reward but Drift didn't collect the bounty and Fracture was not able to capture Bumblebee.

-Upon the complete capture of the Alchemor prisoners, Optimus Prime went with the former enslaved Mini-Cons, Ratchet, and Windblade to Cyberton on the prison ship to confront the new Council about its methods."

Then again. it is my job...

Observatory Of Iacon;

"The Observatory of Iacon, located in Iacon, is the home of the grand Solar Telescope. It has the reputation of being the best and most powerful astronomic facility on the surface of Cybertron.

-Orion Pax considered it one of his favorite places and loved to go there to remind himself that Cybertronians were once bold and free and sought their destiny among the stars.

Maccadam's Old Oil House;

"Situated over at sub-level six on Cybertron's lower-east quadrant, or just east of the High Council Pavilions in Iacon, is one of Cybertron's most renowned enterprises: Maccadam's Old Oil House-the biggest single source of black market fuel on the entire planet. Its main attraction, beyond the excellent service, exceptionally pure oil and general selection of fuel, is that the proprietors make no distinction between Autobots, Neutralists, and Decepticons.

Wonder where Maccadam is today?

I sure do miss him...

....

..

Anyway, let's get back on topic, shall we?

•Golden Age;

"The Golden Age, also known as the First Golden Age of Cybertron, was a period in Transformer history on their home-world of Cybertron when their world was rich in energy and the inhabitants were at peace with one another. This was a time before the political corruption, which ended with the beginning of the Great War.

-The Golden Age of Cybertron began when the Quintessons were driven off-world. Free to govern themselves, Cybertronians made use of the technological advances left behind by the Quintessons and began to consider expansion beyond their world; hence Spacebridges. Spacebridge technology was re-engineered and combined with cyber-forming tech to convert lifeless asteroids and planets into potentially inhabitable colony worlds.

-Sentinel Zeta Prime, his council and scientists also conceived a way in which the Well of All Sparks could be duplicated on these colonies as well. In a ceremonial running of the torch, a spark of life from the Well was acquired and carried from the Well to the Space bridge of Iacon, across interplanetary distances to the first colony of Archon. Archon's governor, Metalhawk, dropped the torch into a duplicate Well crafted on Archon and it successfully ignited, ensuring that new Cybertronians could be born of the colony worlds as well.

-The expansion was a great time of joy and prosperity among the Cybertronians, but it wasn't to last. The Keepers of the Well eventually reported that new life emerging from the Well was diminishing. It appeared that the Well's power was finite, and each Well across the colonies was still drawing from the same source. Without an endless supply of energon and life, Cybertron would have to be more frugal in establishing colonies until alternate sources of power could be conceived.

-The Golden Age came to an end quickly once a mysterious Rust Plague began infecting transports among the colonies. The plague was universally infectious and fatal, and no cure could be found. Even testing proved difficult as the instruments corroded and the scientists died faster than results could be achieved. Quarantines began on infected worlds, followed by rioting, and death by fire for the lucky ones. Unable to reach a solution, Sentinel and the council made the fateful decision to destroy Cybertron's space bridge, permanently cutting the colonies off from home and each other, in order to prevent the Rust Plague from reaching Cybertron.

Cybertron now had greatly diminished resources (due to the duplicate Wells) and nothing to show for it, and the population was shellshocked by the loss of their brothers and sisters on the abandoned colonies. Unable to conceive of a new path for the future, Cybertron fell into a state of apathy and despair...and the Age of Rust set in...

I recall that...

~Present day~

"Life is an echo."

"What you send out— you get back."

"What you sow- you reap."

"What you give- you get."

"What you see in others- exists in you."

"Do not judge- so you will NOT be judged."

"Radiate and give LOVE- and love comes back to you..."

I thought that too...

It's all a lie...

Cinderstrike heaved an exasperated sigh, "You don't have to be so precise, you know?" He huffed, placing a servo on his hip as he glanced over to the femme typing at the monitor.

"Well, this isn't exactly my job, now is it?" The femme huffed, glancing over in a scowl. "This was DJ's doing after all, ya numbskull."

Cinderstrike made a face, frowning as he waved her off. "Yeah, so? Then why don't you make her do it?" He inquired in a dull, uninterested tone. "And why do I need to be here?; waiting, oh so fun." He muttered sarcastically, making a couple unnecessarily dramatic motions with his servos.

"Because you know she won't. Aaaaand because it won't kill you, ya crybaby." The femme muttered in return, tone clearly irritated. "Don't think I'm gonna play your usual game. I'm not in the mood."

"Well, I'm not in the mood for your nicknames thank you very much." Came Cinder's reply in a cocky tone.

"Ah, you know I only do it for fun, Cin'." She chortled, laughing as she punched him playfully in the shoulder, making him grunt and fall silent except for a simple muttered 'whatever'. She shifted from one pede to the other, putting more weight on the other, shifting back and forth as she had been for the past hour now. Glancing towards her friend. "You know what? Yeah, let's go— you're other buddies are probably waiting for you, right? I mean, we did promise to meet 'em after all. At the arena court, if I'm correct? Think that's what they said."

"I. Me." Cinderstrike corrected, optics narrowing slightly. "Don't be testy, got it?"

The femme nodded, "Loud and clear."

He huffed loudly again, making her nod again in full confirmation before he was full-on positive she was being serious. "Better not cross any lines-" He smirked, saluting her as he turned on his heel and wandered off.

"Will do! See ya later, Cin'!" She called, laughing as she got back to work on the monitor. Watching him walk off with a light shake of her helm.

|Second chapter, woooo!
Sorry there isn't much dialogue, it's sorta the point of it; hence the "report"/" log"(information I collected offline for such) which will be explained later on! Anyway, hope you enjoyed!|
