Chapter Ten

Chapter Ten: A Chat In The Garden

"So what are you names?" Rima asked.

Kyoko raised her eyebrow in pure amusement. Her eyes met Reiji's and she mouthed: No introductions? Very unlike you Onii-chan.

She grinned from ear to ear.

"The red head without a fedora is Ayato."

She gestured towards Ayato.

"I'm Ore-sama!" He bellowed, causing Kyoko to giggle and roll her eyes.

"The red head with a fedora is Laito."

She gestured towards Laito who just winked and Kyoko stared at him with a 'are you dumb' look portrayed on her face.

"The purple haired man is Kanato. The teddy bear is Teddy."

She gestured to the two of them. Kanato just kept murmuring to Teddy how good the cake was.

"WHY DID YOU CALL HIM A MAN AND NOT ME!!!" Laito gasped loudly.

"WHY IS THE IDIOT A MAN AND NOT ORE-SAMA!" Ayato buffed.

"Maybe it's because he's not an idiot... he does his homework. I thought it was 'I don't what this is!' eh?" Kyoko interjected and Laito and Ayato fell silent.

"The blondie with earphones is Shuu."

She gestured towards the eldest brother with awe.

"Be careful not to wake up him up though. He gets a little mad. Also, under any circumstances go to the music room without permission. You could be asking for a death sentence." Kyoko stated.

Everyone nodded except the Sakamaki brothers and Yui herself. Yui learned that lesson the hard way. But that's a different story.

"The black haired man with glasses is Reiji."

Reiji nodded and kept his posture (his back straight and his legs together).

"The white haired man with red eyes and looks like me is Subaru."

Subaru only glared at those who dared to look at him, which was, in fact, almost everyone. Only Kyoko didn't look. Knowing the outcome of looking at Subaru during an introduction herself.

"Be careful though. Don't make him angry or me possibly. He'll punch a crater into the wall. He's a... tsundere."

"I am not!" Subaru huffed almost automatically after the word tsundere.

"The kind and caring girl that was sadly sandwhiched between two well known dumbheads, two well known idiots is named Yui." Kyoko stated gesturing towards Yui.

"Hi nice to meet you all!! Yui smiled kindly and Subaru just tched his tongue.

"Shuu's the eldest of us all. Reiji, the second eldest. He is also the most mature and strict. Do not break or ruin silverware or teacups or he'll murder you literally. Ayato is the 3rd eldest. Kanato, the fourth eldest. Laito, the 5th eldest. They'are usually known as the triplets. Finally, Subaru is the youngest out of all the brothers. I am currently younger than Subaru making me the youngest child in the family." Kyoko chimed.

Everyone nodded.

Eventually a few minutes after introductions everyone finished eating and sadly, it was Ayato's turn to do the dishes.

Once everybody did finish, Kyoko was the first to put her plate in the sink and mysteriously disappear.

The brothers knew where she was: the garden. That's where she usually was everyday. There's even a hammock there now so she will be able to sleep in the calmness of the garden if she wished.

Nobody else knew though. Well... Yui was an exception. She knew. She even slept in that hammock while Kyoko watched over her to make sure no brother bit her.

Kyoko had left and Reiji was doing the dishes. Kaname turned to the Night Class students.

He ordered, "Do not follow me. I need some time to be alone."

They nodded and walked to their rooms. Kaname, however had followed Kyoko's presence instead. Which lead him to a beautiful garden of white roses.

And there was Kyoko. In a gazebo staring at all the roses with a smile. Kaname watched her silently.

She knew. She knew she was being watched but didn't think much for it. So she decided to ignore it, thinking that the person would leave sooner or later won't they?

But no, wrong. Her silence just made Kaname glad that she didn't know he was watching her.

Kaname knew it, Kyoko was Yiku. They looked the same. Their presence is the same. I'm pretty sure if she's that emotional she can break a window, a vase, or even a cup.

She couldn't stand it anymore!

Eyes burning deep into her soul (yes she has a soul. She's a vampire not a demon), watching her every move. She wanted to break something.

But, being raised as a Sakamaki she no longer had her Kuranic ways.

Instead of breaking something, she decided to call out to her dear stalker.

"Didn't anyone teach you it was rude to stare at a girl like that? Come on out. You've been watching for a while. Trust me, I can tell if someone's within 3 miles from me. I'll take the burden of worry off your shoulders." Kyoko stated, her voice, soft and calm.

It actually made Kaname relax a bit.

But only a bit.

Her voice had this sort of dark tone in it. It almost seemed angry even.

"No one but Subaru, Yui and I go to this garden. Hell, not even the best friends I had long ago touched a rose from here." Kyoko sighed.

Was that why she was mad? That he was the first only person to come in this garden? Is that it?

He followed Kyoko silently as she walked over to the roses. Kneeling to grip their step and running her hands up and down that stem.

She plucked it out of the ground to reveal a single, thornless rose.

"Yiku-" Kaname had started to say but Kyoko had interrupted him.

"I am no longer a Kuran Kaname, no longer your sister, my name is no longer Yiku." She stated rather... harshly.

Apparently, she, Kyoko was caught off guard when Kaname hugged her tightly. A bit.. too tight.

"We've been looking for you all over. We couldn't find. If we knew you would've been on this side... we would have found you." Kaname cried.

"Too late. I signed those adoption forms with my firmest, best signature at the time Kaname. I can't then back."

"But why not?" Kaname whispered.

"I felt more at home here than I was there, they welcomed me here, they treated me their best, even being dead meat to Cordelia is much more fun than being at the Kurans." Kyoko chuckled.

"Please, Yi-Kyoko can you be my sister again?" He asked.

Kyoko spun the rose round and round.

"Beautiful chance it must be, for you, but you already had your chance. It's the Sakamaki's turn now. But don't forget, no natter how beautiful that person is, everyone has a dark side." She chuckled.

Her chuckled was so dark that it didn't seem to be coming from Kyoko.

She placed the white rose on his lap as she vanished away, into thin air, into her room.

Leaving Kaname in the garden with the rose she threw onto his lap.

He flicked the rose away and several windows broke due to his anger.
