Chapter Nine: We Have Guests Already And They Eat Dinner

For the rest of the day, the afternoon and early evening Reiji, Subaru, Laito, Ayato, Kanato and Shuu had been trying to make Kyoko smile. Which, had all succeeded.

But no matter, she was still horrified. She kept thinking the words: Kaname will know it's me! HE'LL TRY TO KILL YOU!

All day she was pondering on what to do. Of course, being stopped occasionally or all together for the surprises her brothers had made.

That night, when she was making each of their favorite foods, she came up with a great idea.

She would pretend that she was Subaru's sister. That her mother was Christa. That she was NEVER a Kuran. She would not recognize a single Kuran. Or anyone there. She would treat them like how she would treat anyone!

It was a perfect plan!

Smiling she continued to cook many meals at once.

For Ayato, takoyaki.

For Kanato and Teddy, Cake.

For Laito, macrons.

For Shuu, rare steak.

For Reiji, spaghetti carbonara.

Since Subaru didn't have a favorite food, she decided to make him ginger pork stir fry, which she had found out was one of Yuki's favorite foods.

Yui. She had once told Kyoko that since she grew up in a church she learned to accept all foods. As it were, gifts of God. So Kyoko decided to make her steamed egg custard.

The Sakamaki brothers and Yui themselves had enough trouble trying to not go into the kitchen.

"Do not go in the kitchen. I am cooking a lot and I don't want any distractions." Those we're Kyoko's exact words.

Kyoko had giggled slightly noticing the ocassional sniffing and then whining outside the kitchen door.

Reiji even suggested to get a flip phone and record the whole thing.

But of course, she was a step ahead of them. There was a spell she had cast in the kitchen to prevent anybody, but herself, to be able to go inside the kitchen.

Once everything was cooked.

The cake was cooled.
All the foods we're cooled and already been added their special ingredient to make it taste so heavenly.

She had gotten rid of the spell and she immediately regretted it.

They all came in at once! Stumbling through the door.

They took one small sniff and with the blink of an eye they ran out to the dining room. Clanking could be heard as they set the table the best they could.

Kyoko walked in the dining and took a big gulp of air.

"I am going to a be a bit closer to Subaru when they come here to be able to convince them that I was a Sakamaki and never a Kuran. Before you complain on asking 'Why Subaru?? Why not me!?!' It is because I look much more related to Subaru-kun. Thank you! Let the wonderful feast begin!"

The doorbell rang and Kyoko rushed her words in a hushed whisper.

"I-I-I-I'll b-be in the g-garden..." she chirped horrified and teleported away.

Reiji took the normal route to the front door.

Laito and Ayato came behind him.

Shuu and Kanato had followed behind Ayato and Laito.

Subaru had teleported to the garden to find Kyoko in the gazebo where Beatrix usually sat down... when she was alive.

She was staring at the stone tower, where his mother Christa died.

He watched as with an armful of white petaled roses, she had begun to make a white rose flower crown. Like what she usually did when they we're younger.

He remembered always seeing her with some kind of rose flower crown perched atop of her own head. Thornless and beautiful.

"Come on, Kyoko. Stand up. We know you can do it." He whispered to her as he kneeled beside her laying form.

She nodded softly and sighed.

"I'll.... try... thank you... Subaru-kun..." she whispered.

Her eyes closed and to her. All she could see was darkness. Not even moonlight.

Meanwhile...

"Yes?" Reiji answered the door to be met with a brown haired man with redish brownish eyes.

"Is this the Sakamaki Mansion?" The man asked.

"Yes." Reiji stated.

Ayato, Shuu, Laito, and Kanato met with Subaru outside and brought her to her room and laid her down on the bed.

They left silently. Teleporting away.

They sat in the dining room next to Yui who was already sitting down. Yui, was sandwiched between Ayato and Laito. But the two didn't dare do anything while Kyoko was knocked out.

They didn't want to face the dangerous wrath they faced once before.

Which, Reiji soon came in with all 11 people.

Hanabusa Aido, Kaname Kuran, Seiren and all the other Night Class Students sat next to Laito.

The last Night Class Student, Rima Toya was sitting next to Yuki Cross. Or Kuran as the letter stated.

She was blocking the vampires from Zero Kiryu who was sitting between an empty seat. Kyoko's seat.

Kyoko came back down. Wearing a dress that Christa once gave her. Her hair was styled like Christa's instead of the ponytail she wears now and the pigtails she had when she was still a young child.

Even Subaru gaped.

Hell, she looked like she was Christa!

She smiled a close eyed smile and sat in the only empty seat, the seat next to Zero.

Everybody stared at her.

"Is... something wrong?"

"No..." Zero responded still staring at her. She grinned.

"Then eat! I took a long time making all that food ya know!"

"You... made this... food? All of it?!" Kaname and Zero gasped and asked in sync. After that, the two of them glared at each other.

"Umm... yes? I said I did, didn't I?"

"I suppose you did Kyo-chan!" Kanato gushed.

She smiled.

"I WOSH DISH CWAKE WHO MSHUS!!!!" Kanato screamed, his mouth full of chocolate cake.

"Thank you Kanato-kun! Err... what does Teddy think?" Kyoko asked. Flustered by the fact that she was asking for a Teddy Bear's opinion on things.

"What do you think of Kyoko-chan's chocolate cake Teddy?" Kanato asked the bear.

"It's good? No.. amazing? Best you ever tasted?"

"Teddy says it's the best he ever tasted so far!" Kanato squeeled.

"What's that Teddy? Tell Kyoko to make this everyday? Okay!"

"HE ALSO SAYS TO MAKE IT EVERYDAY AND I AGREE FULLY!!"

Kyoko cringed but kept on smiling.
