Chapter 6
Chapter Six: Remembering Childhood And Bonding With Yui
Kyoko's POV
It has been a total of 10 years.
Ten years since I was adopted by Karlhienz.
Ten years since I received a new name.
Ten years since I had gotten a new; better family.
Ten years...
Now here I was. At age 16...
Remembering the details that happened 10 years ago.
When I had first met my brothers:
"Kyoko honey come on!" Daddy stated with a smile.
Your six brothers stood beside him; staring at you with slightly red cheeks.
Cliche...
All seven of us followed Dad to his office as he started a quiet conversation with them.
They nodded a plenty number of times.
Yet, they spoke in such hushed voices that you couldn't hear.
After trying to hear them I gave up and decided to read a book.
It was:
BLOOD TABLETS: HELPFUL
USES AND IMPORTANT THINGS
TO KNOW
It might be seeming like it was boring, which it kinda is, it packed lots if helpful information!
Turns out you just mix it in with water and boom! You don't need to drink blood!
When I was lost for the first time:
I had ended running away from Cordelia but went a little too far.
Now I was lost.
Only one word to say about this...
'Shit...'
So as I wandered around I was able to get to know the place pretty well.
I had sat under a tree and waited...
And waited some more...
My brothers were going to come...
They were going to save me from this dark and creepy place.
My birthday:
Everything was perfect!
Every single one of my brothers gave me perfect presents. My aunts, dad and mom had also given me presents.
My dear mother, Christa had given me a beautiful white dress to wear for the party.
Christa and Beatrix had worked hard to make me look so pretty.
Beatrix had fixed my hair into a bun like hers but the hair in front if my face was braided in super small clumps. Making a huge pile of braids.
Braids were also next to my bun.
Christa had given me her jewelry to wear and placed it on me.
Beatrix had given me a bit of makeup and I was finished.
The two looked at their marvelous creation and took me down to the party.
Reiji, Shuu, Ayato, Laito, Subaru and Kanato had looked at me in awe, mouths agape, as I had descended from the staircase.
I felt like a princess that day and I was treated like one too.
All memories of being a Sakamaki made me smile brighter and bigger.
And yet, all these years... it made me even happier to know that no Kuran was going to annoy me, to ruin my life and to make me run away again...
They probably haven't came to look for me! They didn't care about me after all.... I... Did they hate me that much? Meh... it doesn't matter now anyways.
I walked out of my room and into the kitchen to grab the cake I cooked out of the oven.
Immediately I teleported to Yui's room and started to shake her.
"Yui..."
"Yui wake up..."
"Yuiiiii waaaakkkeee uppp..."
I continued to shake her while saying her name repeatedly.
Her left eye opened...
Then both eyes opened.
"Hey Yui do you want to have a picnic in the park?! There's food!" I cooed.
She nodded so fast she looked like a bobblehead.
I grabbed her hand and we ran through the hallways to the front door.
Of course we had to avoid Reiji's room because of his countless rules.
Yui, was forbidden to leave without permission. He needed to loosen up, man was he worse than Ares in Percy Jackson...
GUESS WHAT? MY PERMISSION.
We opened the door and we ran... into the woods. Into the lives of people. We sat under a large tree at the park and began to eat.
Since this was one of our rare bonding times we had to ask questions. Yui asked the questions since I knew a lot about her already.
"Who was your mother? She asked.
"..." I kept silent.
"Hey... you okay?" Yui asked me.
I nodded and decided to answer the said the question.
I decided to tell her my whole childhood. After all, I was never close to any other sacrificial bride before.
"Well... when I was 1-4 years old I was a different woman... girl..." I stated
Yui kept silent. Staring at my red eyes with her pink ones.
The silence told me to continue.
So I did.
"My hair and eyes weren't a Kurans. My skin was paler too. My powers were more enhanced.
Of course they hated me. I was left in the attic.
One night, tortured; hated; broken; ignored... I left. Karlheinz found me, claimed me as his daughter.
He gave me a new name. I was no longer Yiku Kuran. I was now Kyoko Sakamaki. He gave me a new family.
I was raised by Christa, Subaru's mother. We were very close. Closest I have been to a new person.
From even her suffering days she took care of me, fed me.
Cordelia tried to murder me though. Torture me in the least. I couldn't die. That freaks me out even today. Now I live a new life.
A real family with people that love you." I stated.
My small smile broke into a large smile.
"I've never been able to tell my story to people in 9 or so years. Especially not those other sacrificial brides." I told her.
She smiled.
"And you were the first one to help me out and stuff! My first friend in the mansion... my only friend in the mansion!" Yui smiled.
