It was 3 days since Marwan traveled and I didn't hear from him. He didn't call or text and I too will not call, if he's so full of himself so do i.

I dropped Amir in school, glaring at his teacher as usual.

Seriously I'm waiting for the right time to give her a piece of my mind.

It didn't take me long to reach the office, as usual, I was greeted with a grinning Matilda.

"Hey girl, I see you're smiling ear to ear what's the occasion," I asked placing my bag on the desk. The smile didn't leave her face, in fact, her grinning increases.

"You won't believe what happened to me today." She whispered yell. My brows cringe in question. She moved closer.

"I came together with the boss." She whispered just enough for me to hear.

"You what?"

"Didn't you hear what I just said? Mr. Sa'ad offered me a lift, so we came together." She said the last part with a squill.

"Oh.. I'm sure you're very happy right now."

"Of course I am."

"You are what?" A voice interrupts us. It was Max.

"Oh.. Nothing" we both answered at the same time, getting back to our work.

The remaining day went by with a lot of work done at the office. On my way down I got a glimpse of Linda and Mr. Sa'ad. Linda laughing at something Mr. Sa'ad said, they look good together. I brushed off the silly thought off my head.

As said, I picked Amir from his school and we went straight home.

"Assalam Alaikum Aunt." I greeted her.

"Wa Alaikum salam, how's work? And Amir too." She took him in her arms and he watched her quietly.

"Alhamdulillah Aunt."

Amir was quite since this morning. Maybe he misses his dad. Talking of his dad, he still hasn't call me. I've made up my mind I will just call him, he's supposed to come back today.

After changing Amir's clothes and feeding him, I tuck him to bed. Whenever I look at the kid, I feel some sort of hurt inside. Such a small kid has to experience leaving without the love of his parent.

I dialed Marwan number, tapping my foot continuously waiting for him to pick, I will have to give him a piece of my mind.

"Assa-"

"How can you do this to me, you told me you're only spending 3dyas which means you're supposed to come back today but I didn't see you." I cut him off letting out the words I've been planning to tell him.

"Easy woman, take a deep breath, you didn't even let me finish my salam." He replied, his voice a little low.

"What do you want me to tell my Aunt again, after all the lies I fed her that Amir's mom is coming back today." To be honest, I know Aunt knew it was today I told her Amir Mom is coming back she just didn't say anything. I don't want to feed her another lie.

The line went quiet for a while, I almost thought he hung up on me until his deep voice resonates back.

"My initial plan was to come back today, but something came up so my flight will be early morning tomorrow." He stated.

As if I care.

"Aren't going to ask about Amir, he misses you." I find myself saying.

"Did you even give me a chance to ask about him, you just started bombarding me with your lecture."

"I'm not lecturing you, I'm just saying my mind." I spitted back. He always find a way to piss me off.

"I think you need to see a doctor."

"You're the one who needs to see a doctor." I ushered back rolling my eyes.

"So how's Amir?" He asked.

"He's doing just fine, he's sleeping already as usual."

The line went quiet for a while neither of us speak. The room suddenly feels somehow.

"Um. I have to go, I have some office paperwork to deal with." I said trying to ease up the tension.

"Make sure you do it well, I don't want to waste my time checking your errors."

"I'm not working on that project and for your information, there are no errors in my work." With that being said, I hung up not missing his laugh from the other end.

Did I hear correctly?

It was late in the day, I was on my way to pick Amir from school when I received a text from Marwan telling me he's already back at home.

When the taxi man dropped us few miles away from the house, I felt like a presence behind when I turned around no one was there.

Oh, Yasmin who will come to the quiet street.

I think he chose this location so as to avoid any disturbance. My phone vibrates from my bag. I checked the caller id it was Aunt.

"Assalamu Alaikum."

"Wa alaiki salam Yasmin are you on your way back home?" She asked.

"I'm still in office, I will finish up everything and come back within 30mins." Ya Allah forgive me for lying. I will just drop Amir and leave.

"I'm craving for some Apple, I want you to stop by the supermarket and buy some."

"Okay, Insha Allah."

I pressed the doorbell, we stood for 5mins before he opens the gate. I know he did it deliberately to piss me off. He was dressed into a black and white sweatpants with his hair ruffled, it seems like he just came out of the shower.

Subhanallah Yasmin

Amir immediately ran up to his dad, Marwan took him up and embrace him. Dad and son bonding.

"Do you enjoy pissing me off." I blurted out without any thinking. He watched me with a smirk on his face.

"Of course I enjoy seeing your pissed off face." He mimics my voice.

"Since I've brought Amir home I will be on my way my Aunt is waiting for me." Seriously I don't even know why I'm telling him this.

"Oh I almost forgot, I want to give you the proposal sample for the project for you to go through, just give me 5mins." He faces changes to a serious one.

"Okay let me help you with Amir, I took Amir from him, my hands brushing his a little. I felt an electric bolt shot through my body." This is not good.

The buzzing of my phone woke me up from my peaceful sleep. Who is it this early morning? I slide the green button without checking the caller id.

"Yasmin what am I seeing? I heard the loud voice of Matilda from the other end. My brows cringe in confusion.

"I don't understand?" I ushered back.

"Check the news, I think I need an explanation and a good one." Without waiting for me to reply back she hung up.

Taking my phone from the nightstand, my eyes widen at the information I saw on the phone screen. Mr. Marwan Siddiq seen with a lady.

An unknown woman was seen entering Mr. Marwan Siddiq's house.

Mr. Marwan secretly dating.

And the lady is none other than me. My face was clearly visible on the screen. I felt sweat crept through my body
