As usual, I had Baby Alex strapped onto my back as I worked, I was restocking some of the shelves. It was only 2 of us working, my manager said he was going to fire the other three for not even bothering to tell him they weren't going to show up but, I WAS NOT COMPLAINING. Who complains about more hours? Not Me. 

The doorbell chimed meaning I had to hurry and get to the register, it was the girl I seen Xander with at the apartment.

I ain't even watch her walk around, she could steal the whole damn store and I wouldn't give a shit. 

Baby Alex started gurgling so I switched the carrier around so that she was in the front.

"You hungry baby doll?"

She just stared at me sucking on her fingers, I'ma take that as a yes.

"Miranda, she's hungry."

My co-worker came speed walking from the back, she isn't able to have kids so she was mad excited when Dustin allowed me to bring Baby Alex to work with me.

"Hey, baby girl." She cooed as she took her out of the carrier.

The girl came to the register with some fresh fruit and snacks. As I was ringing her stuff up her phone rang.

"Yes Baby?... I'm just grabbing a few snacks... I know I'm on the way... Alex-... I'm coming, hold on... love you too... bye."

Bitch ass nigga.

"Your total is $24.38."

She gave me a hundred dollar bill and waited for her change and receipt.

As I was handing it to her Omari came in, we've been talking ever since I gave him my Instagram at the grocery store, with some roses.

"Hello, Beautiful."

I smiled hard as fuck handing ole girl her bag. He came up as she walked off.

"What you doing after work?"

"Nothing really."

"Ight bet, lemme take you on a dinner date."

"I can't."

"You-"

"My roommate is out of town and I have his daughter."

"Bring her, what time I need to pick y'all up?"

"7:30."

"Ight, send the addy. We're going to Bin 5, so dress casual."

"Okay, see you then."

"Ight."

He handed me the flowers and walked out.

"Somebody play some music!"

I got dressed then I dressed Baby Alex for tonight it was going on 7:00 so I had to rush. As he said, Xander was gone before we came back so I was relieved. 

I put on a black off the shoulder top, blush-colored jeans, and black flats. I dressed Baby Alex up in yellow and blue.

I straightened up the apartment, and bout time I was done Omari was outside. He sent me the text to come down. I grabbed the car seat and did a once-over of the house then left out. 

I went down and strapped her in, Omari opened the doors for me then closed them when I was in and she was in. Gentleman? I think so.

He started the ride off with a little bit of small talk, we engaged in a normal conversation, getting to know each other a little bit more and shit.

I was fucking confused. Deadass. I didn't know if I wanted him, Fabo, or Xander. I x'd Xander off cause he was with ole girl. Now I just had to choose between Omari and Fabo.

I couldn't even choose. The only con Fabo had was his baby mama. I ain't like that bitch at-fucking-all, she treated Fabo wrong, had him working like her little slave and she ain't even have their baby yet, then that bitch had the nerve to call me out my name, like bitch WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?! She obviously does not know me, I'll beat that bitch ass.

"What you over there thinking about?"

"Life."

"What about it?"

"This other dude, plus in the back of my mind I still can't get over something that happened on my Easter break."

"When you went to Texas?"

"Yeah."

"What happened, if you don't mind me asking."

"My ex, he um, he killed himself."

He half-whispered, "Damn."

"Yeah."

After continuing our small talk we arrived at the restaurant, it was nice as fuck. You already know a bitch was on snap recording us almost the whole time.

I took pictures of me and Omari, then I took pictures of me and Baby Alex to send to Xander.

He stepped off to take a call and I finished my drink. Baby Alex was starting to get tired so I knew I'd have to wrap this up soon because I DO NOT like when she gets fussy.

He came back and looked irritated.

"You good?"

"Nah, listen here. I wanted to make you my girl and shit but I can't do that shit anymore. You still my roll dog though so don't think I'm cutting you off."

"I understand."

This made everything mad easy, I didn't have to choose between him and Fabo. I got my answer.

He called the waiter over and paid. I left the tip. The food was good service was good so I left $50.

He took my and Baby Alex home after saying goodnight. Tonight was a good night.

I went in and got Baby Alex and I ready for bed. After putting her to sleep I sent Xander the pictures. He texted back fast as fuck.

I turned my phone off, showered and went to sleep.
