Jaelyn
Volume four
"I miss being a girlfriend." Jala frowned.
"You're my girlfriend babe." I looked at her.
"Bitch, I'm tired of eating ya pussy!" She yelled making a few people look at us while I started rolling.
"You're so embarrassing."
"Because they all in our face, they been staring for almost ten minutes like damn."
"They really have."
"But back to what I was saying, I miss being a girlfriend, I miss sex, I miss being laid up. Bitch I miss everything."
"Take your cheating ass ain't shit boyfriend back."
"That boy only good for one thing." She rolled her eyes.
"Tell Dylan or Esme to put you on someone, you know they know the best looking niggas."
"Dylan fuck around and let me mess with some nigga who already got a bitch."
"She most def will." I shook my head.
"I just want a tall dark skin with white teeth who has his own money and won't cheat and lie to me, is that too much?"
"Sis, you know you can't expect too much from these niggas."
"Oop, is that shade?" She tilted her head.
"Nope, Shep and I are okay."
"Oh bring it on coming towards our way." Jala said as we watched the cheerleading team walk towards us.
"Bitch I came prepared." I grabbed my mase and taser out my bag. "I been waiting."
"Oh y'all done hiding out from us?" One asked.
"Yeah, we won the game of hide and seek." Jala said making me laugh.
"Should've got a trophy punk bitches."
"Burrr it's cold in here must be something in the atmosphere!" I yelled clapping making Jala throw her head back laugh.
"They got our ball, we want it back." Jala did the dance Miley Cyrus did making me do it with her.
"The jokes never stop."
"Never bitch." I glared at them. "All jokes aside, get the fuck out our face. We not fighting y'all mad asses and if y'all touch us y'all gon be going to the hospital once I throw water on y'all and electrocute y'all."
"Punk bitches always gotta use something, could never fight."
"Y'all jumped us though sis." Jala looked at her blankly.
"Jala stop talking to these idiots." I told her looking at the court seeing Shep come out with that cheerleader by his side.
"You never know what ya nigga doing when you not with him." The girl smirked making me look at her. "Right Jala?"
They walked away from us and I stood there watching them, she touched his arm smiling in his face while he pulled out his phone handing it to her. She gave it back after a minute or so then they hugged making me raise a eyebrow.
"Sooo."
"I'll let you know." I said already knowing what she was going to ask.
"Hey baby." He smiled hugging me. "Wassup Jala?"
"Hmph." Jala said making him furrow his eyebrows. "Call me later best friend, let me know wassup."
"Okay." I hugged her walking out the school.
Shep didn't say anything and neither did I, we got into the car not making a sound. I pulled out my phone looking at the invitation Esme sent me for her New Years party. I locked my phone feeling Shep looking at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Wondering what's wrong with you."
"I was wondering the same thing."
"What that mean?"
"I wonder what's wrong with you."
"Nothing." He furrowed his eyebrows. "I'm good."
"Nah, I think something up with ya brain. Might be on the slow side."
"Doubt it." He chuckled.
"Yeah, I bet you doubt a lot of things."
"So you gon stop sugarcoating shit?"
"You gon stop being stupid?"
"How am I being stupid?"
"What you was talking to that ugly cheerleader for?"
"Nia?"
"I don't know that bitch name, the fuck? You know who you was talking to."
"We was talking bout senior night, I'm her basketball player."
"So what she take ya phone for?"
"She need my number to discuss how we gon walk on the court."
"Back the fuck up." I held my hand out. "You want her to walk on the court with me, ya mom, dad and sister?"
"Yeah, I just said I'm her basketball player."
"You know what I don't even care." I waved him off.
"Say what you gotta say now."
"For what? What's going to change?"
"The way you seeing everything."
"Don't want to." I rolled my eyes. "What do you want to be for this costume party? I can order something today so it could be here in time."
"About that, I got a game in the afternoon so I don't think I should be going to a party knowing Imma be tired and not play my best."
"First of all, you been agreed to this party last month and you knew ya schedule it's in your phone."
"I wasn't thinking."
"You never are." I shook my head.
"Alright Jaelyn."
"I'm not understanding why you can't come to the party. We can leave early, I just want to show face and our costume then we can leave."
"Nah, I don't think I should. Plus, I told Nia I'll stop by at her New Years party with Jay so-"
"Can you take me home?" I cut him off.
"I thought you wanted to come so we could play 2k?"
"Nah, I wanna go home."
"Why?"
"Because if I don't Imma punch ya head to this window."
"For what?" He furrowed his eyebrows.
"Let me break this down for you." I cleared my throat. "Jay, Jala, you and I got jumped outside of your game a few weeks ago. The bitch who's your cheerleader is the same bitch that said she can have you choosing her over me and that's exactly what ya dumb ass doing."
"How am I choosing her over you?"
"Bro, you won't go to a party just to show our costume but you'll go to her party with Jay? Seriously?"
"It don't got nothing to do with Nia, I'm going for Jay."
"Why would you still bring me here? I just said I wanna go home." I stated as he pulled into his driveway.
"Because I wanna spend time with you."
"I'll just call Jala to come get me." I rolled my eyes texting her.
"You really doing too much."
"Okay."
"Shep, mom cooked!" I heard his little sister yell from the doorway.
"Can you at least come in and speak to them?"
I didn't say anything to him getting out the car, I hugged his sister then walked in the kitchen to see his father scrolling on his phone while his mother stirred something in the pot. They both looked at me sending smiles my way.
"Hey Senior and Tash." I smiled giving both of them hugs.
"What was score?" His father asked him.
"120 to 99."
"What's your stats?"
"78 points, 20 assist, and 9 rebounds."
"Yeah, keep playing like that and them scouts going to be lining up."
"Jaelyn are you staying for dinner?" Tasha asked.
"You know my Rockets bout to kick your Lakers ass." Senior smirked. "We could watch the game."
"Actually, I wasn't planning on staying. I just came in to say hey, I'm waiting on my ride now."
"Sterling, you could've drove her home." His mother glared at him.
"She just being petty ma, ain't nobody coming to get her. She staying."
"No I'm not."
"Damn Shep, what you do to the girl?" Senior asked.
"Nothing."
"Don't lie to them."
"What he do Jaelyn?"
"Y'all know how we got jumped after his game? Well one of the girls got a lil crush on him and he's playing right into her game. We were supposed to go to a costume party for New Years and he's cancelling on me because he's going to her party."
"Sterling." His mother shook her head. "Why would you go to her party instead of being with your girlfriend?"
"His excuse was he was going to be too tired since he has a game that afternoon."
"Didn't they cancel that game?" His sister spoke. "They made a announcement like two days ago saying- oh, no they didn't I got the wrong game."
I looked at Shep as he looked at her blankly while she looked around. I pulled out my phone to go to the basketball website seeing the game was most def cancelled, I nodded my head chuckling. Jala texted me letting me know she was outside making me put my phone in my pocket.
"Yeah, my ride is outside. Thank you for inviting me to dinner and Senior y'all not beating us." I chuckled. "I'll see y'all later."
"I'll call you." Tasha said making me nod as I walked out with Shep following me.
"Jae? Jae for real? Jaelyn, just stop."
"Go practice for your cancelled game." I said opening the door but he closed it back.
"I'm sorry I lied but I didn't wanna go to the party."
"So then tell me that, what are you lying for? We could of stayed in the house bringing the new years in together."
"You right and I'm sorry."
"No you're not, you know I would of been mad about you lying to me and you still lied. You're not sorry, you're just sorry you got caught but it's whatever. Excuse me."
"Stop." He closed the door as I tried opening it again. "I need to go to Nia party."
"Okay, you be at your party and I'll be at mine. Case closed."
"You really making nothing into something."
"Okay, see you later." I opened the door going out before he could even try to close it again.
"What happened?" Jala asked as soon as I got in the car.
"I'll tell you later, let's go costume shopping bitch cause we matching."
"Ooou, it's lit." She smiled.
~
"You roll funny." Christian said making me laugh.
"I had to teach myself how to roll because I got tired of sparking people up just so they can roll my blunts."
"That's exactly what you here for." He said as we laughed.
"You called just in time, I needed something to smoke. A bitch is going through it."
"Care to share?"
"Just problems with my boyfriend, I don't know if I should talk about that though."
"So hypothetically did he cheat?"
"I don't know." I answered honestly. "I wanna have faith in him and say he didn't but it's something in the back of my head telling me I should press the issue."
"Always go with your intuition."
"You right but I'm trying to put two and two together but that shit equaling up to 6." I shook my head making him chuckle.
"Why do you think he's cheating?"
"We got jumped a few weeks ago and one of the girls that jumped us has a crush on him and he knows it and he's feeding into allat. I feel like he been talking to her for a few weeks behind my back and today he lied to me for the first time ever in our relationship."
"Ever?"
"I mean he's lied before but it's always something little like about food or something but this is big."
"I can't really give you advice because I don't know boy." He lit the blunt. "Only thing I could say is don't be one of those people who ignore every sign because this isn't something you wanna believe. Trust me, it'll hurt more holding onto something then letting it go."
"Sound like you speaking from experience." I inhaled.
"I am, my last relationship is the reason I never wanna be in a relationship again."
"She cheated?"
"She had a whole nother life when I wasn't around."
"How'd you find out?"
"I saw them together and she told me that was her cousin, I believed it and when I saw him by his self I went to questioning him and just like me she told him I was her cousin."
"Bitches ain't shit." I shook my head passing the blunt to him.
"The shit that made me mad was we had been together for three damn years and I seen all the red flags but I ignored all of them." He shook his head coughing. "I was so mad, I even considered having all of them jump her."
"If I would of known you back then, I would have beat her up for you." I stated honestly making him laugh.
"You still willing to? I know where she live."
"Hell yeah and I'm mad, we can go right na!" I joked as we both laughed.
"I'll keep that in mind for real." He chuckled as it grew silent.
I leaned my seat back thinking about everything, maybe I was over reacting to things. I mean he went to the same school as them, he probably wanted to go to a party where he'll know more than three people. I was most likely being selfish.
"I hope that don't happen to you." Christian said breaking the silence.
"What you mean?"
"I hope he don't break ya heart like mine was broken." He said looking at me. "You seem like you're in love and the way he blowing you up I sense the feeling mutual. I'm really rooting for y'all, you seem like too good of a person to hurt."
"I really am the best." I smiled making him laugh. "But we'll be okay. We always are."
"So you seen that game earlier?" He asked as I put my feet on the dashboard getting hyped about it.
I'm just going to forget about my problems right now.
