-----------<Back to Silver's (Emeralds) POV>-----------

The rest of the class went by fast and I was glad that he didn't show that bastards face again, but I didn't like the homework that he gave me. It was about him and I had to look up and study his life till his death, and guess why he disappeared. The other class went by fine, boring but fine, and then it came to shifter class, and I found out that it was placed in the sports field. I noticed that they had already set up for soccer next hour and I was excited to actually be able to do a sport and not get exhausted quickly. 

"Okay class today we are going to do a couple laps around this field and then we are going to shift and test each other's skills in those forms" the teacher was a woman and her name tag said that Mrs. Strict, and I internally smirked from the fact that it was true. 

"First we are going to get to know each other" she said "I need everyone to get in a large circle, and I will start then the line with go clockwise around the circle" 

"Okay my name is Mrs. Strict and I am a tigress" she said and I made the connection to why she walked, stood, and acted like a leader and independent being so much. Then the next person and I was glad that I was near the middle because I had time to think of a lie, but then there was the problem of having to actually shift, and I wasn't sure if I could shift into the thing that I wanted to, and if I did would it look like him. There were a couple more and then it was the guy next to me's turn, and I looked at him as did the others, ever since the argument with the vampire guy in my first class I figured that I should stop judging the vampires here or anywhere unless they proved that I couldn't trust them. 

"My name is Alex and I am a Phoenix" my eyes widened, maybe I didn't have to hid the fact that I was a dragon-shifter with another great mythical creature here. 

"What about you young lady" my attention snapped from my thoughts about my sister and where she was now, which should be at the old place that I went to. 

"Oh right, My names Silver and I'm a Dragon-shifter" I said standing high and then a person stepped out from the circle and pointed a finger. I noticed that it was a werewolf and I snapped to him as he accused me. 

"No your lying, there is no such thing as a dragon-shifter, so what are you really" he said and my vision flashed with a dangerous shade of silver and black and he gulped smelling of fear before stepping back in the circle, and then I noticed the vampire that checked on me in our first hour, why was he here he was a vampire and I didn't think that vampires could shift unless they were blessed by a shifter and bestowed what they looked at as a gift. 

"Now that that is done, do ten laps around the field and then we will be doing a couple more exercises un-shifted and then we will do those same things in our animal forms, but Alex I'm going to need you to tone down your fire, and Silver I want to see you, dismissed" everyone started to run along the track and I stood where I was as she walked up to me. 

"We will talk about you lying later, but now I want you to do twice as much laps as them and then you will be the last to shift" she said and I thought what she's punishing me for a mere disbelief and then I growled and thought I'd show her later and I ran. I passed the others as my speed became faster due to my anger and I lost count of laps as I ran around the track and then I wished that there was something for me to hit and a pillar of metal shot out at my in-front of me, and I smirked and then wished for three more and as I ran I ripped them apart and liquefied them as I absorbed the metal making me stronger, and after doing this for a little while I was calmer and I realized that the others were standing in the center of the field watching me with fear showing in their eyes, even the teacher had a little fear in her eyes. I walked up to them dangerous and predator like and then stopped and sat down looking at the teacher with hate. 

"N-now we are going to do some speed exercises, and powers in this area are allowed" she said and motioned fr four people to go to the track and get ready. She blew the whistle and they took off like The Flash, I could tell that the others had a little trouble seeing where they were, but I could see every smile and every twitch as they ran using their powers. There were three people who seemed to be watching them with less trouble, and when they passed the finish the winner stood to the side, and then the next for three more groups before it was my turn, and I looked and saw that Alex and the vampire was with me. I decided to go easy on them, and when the whistle blew we all took off and I was in the lead just using my regular speed against them. I opened my senses and took in the smells and looks as I ran along the track. I was about half way when I felt someone push a little more and use their speed powers to get ahead. I smiled when I saw the vampire guy look back at me and smile. I got into a different stance while I ran and shot ahead with a boom, and two behind me stumbled as the shock-wave sent them off coarse. 

I passed the vampire using only a little of my powers for speed and his eyes widened and his expression became disbelieving as I passed him looking at him and smiling. There was only a lap to go when I passed the line and I pushed a little more and another boom echoed through the field. I was at the finish in a second and I slowed and jogged at human pace to my spot with the others and waited for the others to finish. Everyone, and I mean Everyone looked at me in shock as I stood there watching them struggle to catch up. 

The next was me against the other winners and since there were six of us there was three laps, and I noticed that the hot-head was in with us. I didn't hold back when the whistle was blown and I was done before they had even taken ten steps. When they finished I looked at the teacher for the next thing and then I noticed a flare of heat in the aura of the earth. Then something slammed into me and I screamed with rage and pain as the heat seared through my skin, and I slid across the ground gritting my teeth in pain as I slowly got up. 

"Oh is the liar in pain" a deep growl came from behind me as I stood, and a winced as my skin healed after a couple of seconds. 

"You asked for it" I said and shifted, when I was done I roared and noticed that my body was glowing an amber color and I felt fire flowing through my blood and in my skin wanting to be let out. I exploded in a small flare of energy and my body lit with white fire as I stalked towards a now fearful and fleeing werewolf. I flapped once and shot into the air, and then I screeched again as I dived towards him and pinned him under my claws. I lessened my fire so that it was the same heat as his and he whimpered as my claws cut open his side. 

"You call me a liar again and see where it gets you" I growled "the only reason I am not tearing you apart is because of the teacher and the others, or you wouldn't be among the living now" and then stepped off of him and walked to the others while shifting. I looked at the teacher the same way I had and she looked at the ground in shame. I growled due to the little anger I still had and then opened a clear portal in-front of them and was on the outside of the gym walking away when I saw a flash outside of the barriers and I barely caught the smell and aura of an evil being and it's pitch black eyes watching me before it turned and ran. 

I stood there before shaking my head to get it's image out of my head and then I remembered that I would have to go here again for my next class. I sighed and opened a portal to a place in the bleachers where I could see them and be able to get out good enough. Then I saw something running in the corner of my eye and I flipped around forming two silver blades in my hands expecting an attack, but it was just a wolf with grey-white fur running as fast as it could to or from something. I closed my portal and dissolved my swords before shifting and following it, and this shift was a slimmer dragon with scales that seemed to reflect whatever I was near. If someone was in-front of me they would see the back of me like I wasn't there, and same for under, over, and any other angle, but I could be seen while I moved. 

I shot after it like a bullet and I smelled blood in the male wolves trail and I saw that he was bitten in the leg and scratched up but running as if his life depended on it. I looked behind me but didn't see anything besides a long road, and then my vision zoomed in and a couple miles away was a black-brown wolf watching and then it opened it's mouth and I saw it's bloodstained teeth, and it howled before looking over here one last time before turning and running into the forest out of sight. 

I looked back and hit the brakes just in time to see the house with the barrier in it, and I barely touched it but it shimmered and then a sort of wave went around it coming in my direction. My eyes widened as it focused on one point and blasted me in the face, and I ended up going flying right back into the stadium's side, and I growled in pain trying to keep in my attacking instincts. I shifted and rubbed my head until it was healed to no more than a red bump and looked at the building in hate. It was going to be hard to get that stupid field to actually accept, or like me besides my evil curse. 

I walked back in the stadium to see that they all were in their animal form and many of them were playing, others were trying to comfort the wolf that I had injured. He was still in the spot that I had pinned him in and had his eyes closed whimpering in pain. I saw that the teacher had a few students running along the track and I waited for them to pass before walking across and going to the Bengal tiger in the middle of the track with a few students in around her pushing things with their heads, or other things that she had them do while she walked around and observed them. 

The teacher saw me coming and the others that were in my way cleared a path for me shaking with fear. Honestly I knew that it wasn't the best way to get along with the school, but sometimes to get people to like you, you have to show power. I looked around and then saw red rimmed black eyes and I knew that it was the vampire, so he could shift. I noticed that he was the only one that wasn't scared of me and I raised an eyebrow due to it, and instead of stepping back, or running to another place. He and Alex both just stood there on the side watching me, and they didn't bow or anything. They knew that I was different from the others like them, and even though the punk could control fire and others could control some other element in any form. I was still different due to what and who I was in this school and what I was burdened with. These two didn't seem to care though and I was glad and surprised about that. 

I shifted into my main form and I heard several gasps or breaths as people saw what my original and main form was. The vampire seemed to be connecting dots in his mind due to his blank expression and staring into space, and then his eyes went wide and he looked at me in wonder and disbelief. I wondered if it was to due with the locker thing, I didn't mean for it to happen, but it was going to get a couple of people curious. 

Why aren't you on fire Alex I asked him and he looked at me in surprise, but shrugged the best he could in bird form.

You how are you projecting your thoughts I heard a female voice in my head and I knew that it was the teacher. 

I have been able to project my thoughts ever since my third form I said "and I can also talk in this form as well" but I don't like to I saw her flinch when I spoke using my dragon voice I could see almost everyone shiver as I spoke. 

I know my voice sounds like scraping metal, or nails on a chalkboard, and that's why I don't use it unless I want or would want to unsettle my enemies I said and everyone quickly nodded their heads and I could see a little thanks in their eyes, but the two were the same still, and I was starting to wonder why, or what happened to them to make them immune to fear. 

The rest of the day went by normal with me playing soccer and amazing almost everyone on my sports skills and speed, and then came the training after I ate lunch. Which was interrupted by a person in heavy armor coming in the cafeteria and tapping my shoulder. I ignored him, but when he was about to tap me again, I quickly grabbed his arm flipped over him and twisted it out of socket bringing it behind him in a lock while pushing him to the ground with his yelling out in pain and shock tapping the floor. 

"What, I am eating my lunch" I said annoyed and I realized that my eyes almost showed, I had them disguised as regular brown eyes because I didn't want anyone seeing what my eyes or skin actually looked like after the change. My skin was also different with a silver shade to it, and I tried to cover it up, but the silver was too dark and in  some spots it was starting to turn black like burn marks. The best I could do was tone it down to a lighter color and make the black look grey to other eyes. 

"I'm sorry but you are summoned to go to the barracks for training now, Captain's orders" I got off of him and pulled him up even with his almost hundred pounds of armor on, and then I trapped him in a different hold and warned him "this is going to hurt" before resetting his arm and healing it before pushing him towards the door and putting my fresh caught and cooked venison from my ten minute hunt into a metal box that I formed in my hands. All of the talking in the cafeteria had stopped as soon as the guy came in and when I left it started up again. I barely caught the mention of my name before I exited and closed the door following the guard. 

When we got to the barracks I could see a man in a black uniform with a wolf on the front and a couple of 'x's on the sides of his uniform running down the side of his shirt and pants. I walked ahead of the soldier 'escorting' me and restrained myself from punching his butt as I stood in-front of him looking him in the eye. I was about six feet an he was about an inch or two taller then me. 

"Why did you pull me our of my lunch early" I asked "I am still growing and I need to eat" 

"Well I'm sorry, but I have troops that I need to train and a schedule to follow" he growled and I growled glaring at him, and for a while we just glared at each-other until the soldier came to the side of us. 

"Capt we're going to be training right" he said and both of our attentions snapped to him making him yelp and almost fall over before stepping in line with the others, and out the corner of my eye I saw the Captain look at me still angry. 

"Get in line with the others, and I want you at the front" he said smirking, and I growled  wanting to protest about being pushed and bossed around but that wouldn't get me anywhere here, besides a couple more laps or exercises than the others. The soldiers in the front didn't move so I decided to move them, I pushed a hand forward and the earth shifted them back a person, and I took my spot with the person behind me glaring daggers into my back. It wasn't uncomfortable, jut annoying and I swore to myself that if he didn't take his gaze off of me or try messing with me then I would make him pay. 

"From today on your columns are your bunk-mates, I do not care if they are women and men or cats and dogs in the same cabin, but by the end of this week you are going to be training hard and long, and if you still aren't used to or accepting of your bunk-mates then I'll hold back classes further and make you spend another week while the others are off of duty and school during spring break" I growled lowly, he suspended our classes for this. To say that I was mad was a great understatement, I was pissed that I had to sleep, breathe, and live in the same cabin as the punks behind me "I want ten laps in line with your column, and no breaking off from your group or spreading out. Period" 

We all started running and due to my hearing I heard a couple of groans or grunts as everyone started to march forward, and I felt a pressure on my back trying to push me forward every so often, and when he tried to push me forwards again I heated up my shoulders and back, and he hissed in pain as his hands were burned when he touched me. 

"Your going to pay for that B****" (I am going to keep as much cursing out because I don't want to label this book as mature yet) he said in my ear and I smiled as I made his armor a little denser every time we moved a couple feet, and by the time the third lap came around I could tell that he was getting tired because his breaths were heavy and uneven and when we stopped he was one of the fifteen that sat down out of the five groups of five each. I withdrew the density as the Captain came by and he stood in-front of us and snapped

"Who told you to stop standing because I am pretty d*** well sure I didn't" everyone snapped back to their feet, and I had to hold in a smirk "those of you get to do three more laps with fifty more pounds on your shoulders" he had a couple bars with buckets of water on each side, and he pointed at them and the people groaned again and stepped out of line to get the bars. 

"I don't want to see a drop spilled when you are done, and I want to see all of you here at the same time" cue more groans "oh and if I hear anyone else groan they are going to be doing more" it was really hard to keep in my laughter and to keep my expression stoic because I was starting to like this guy "as for the rest of you" he turned to us after the others were already gone "drop and give me fifty and then roll over and do a hundred sit ups, and no powers to help" he threw bars of metal at us with screws in the sides to help keep it in the ground. 

I quickly did my fifty and then turned around and screwed in the bar until it was about maybe two inches above the ground and I started to do my sit-ups. Around fifty I started to tire, but quickly did the rest and stood awaiting the next thing while looking at the others and seeing them struggling with push-ups or with screwing in the bar, and just as the others were lugging their butts over with concentrated faces on and the bars on their necks sloshing water everywhere.
