I woke up with all of the blankets in a mess around my room, and I noticed that I was still in dragon form. I changed into a human again, and tiredly put the blankets that I had slept on last night into the hamper again. I had to literally walk around my room to get the blankets because I had flung them rater far throughout my whole room. Then I went to the door sensing someone about to knock, and when I opened it I came face to face with a woman with black air just past the middle of her spine, and she had this powerful, but strange aura surrounding her. Even though I couldn't see an aura, I still knew that she was powerful just by her scent, but she looked surprised at what I did then I saw her hand shaking as she put it out. I smelled fear off of her, and I think that it was because I was more powerful than her. 

"Hi my name is Chloe, and I'm your new roommate" she said 

"Why are you fearful" I said "one I'm not going to eat you because that would be disgusting, and two you are a powerful being, so why are you afraid" I looked at her still shaking form, but it had calmed her down a little. 

"I am a little scared because I AM STAYING WITH THE FREAKING DRAGON here" she yelled into the hall, but it still made me a little mad at her and I felt a little heat rising up from my skin. 

"Please don't yell like that" I said

"Why" she asked "everyone's at lunch, and speaking of why aren't you eating with the others" she looked at me curiously, and I saw that yelling into the hall had calmed her down enough to keep her form shaking again. 

"It makes me mad, and trust me you don't want to see me mad" I said looking at her dangerously. She smelled of a little fear when she did that, and then I smelled that she was about to do something stupid. So I slammed the door in her face, and then I started to move things to make room for her. When I opened up the door again I saw that she was sitting there bored, and then she looked at me. I saw a gleam of mischievousness in her eyes, and then she screamed loud at my face. I held my ears trying to keep out the sound, but it was too late. She had already angered me beyond calming down again. 

"It is going to be fun being your roommate" she said quietly into my ear, and then I started to shift halfway into the hall and my room. I scrambled to get in my room, and close the door thinking great now I have to live with a crazy roommate to myself. I started to grow, and I just barely got a glimpse of her terrified face as I closed the door halfway through my shifting process. I turned off the lights in my screams of pain as I shifted into something bigger than what I was used to. I went to the magic walk in closet just big enough for this form. I heard the bedroom door open, and I could smell that she was trying to play around, but I didn't understand that when she said it. So she had only made me even more mad at her when she said that joking statement in my ear. 

"Jeez I was only trying to joke around with you" Ashley said as she looked around for me "where are you" she walked closer to the closet, and I knew that if she came in then I wouldn't be able to control myself. Then she did exactly what I didn't want her to do, she opened the door and turned on the light. I looked at her blocking the light with my large back, and I noticed that I was pitch black. Black as the night, and I was very angry at her. This time she looked at me and screamed, and it was a genuine scream this time of a scared girl that was looking at a monster. She turned around, opened the door, and ran out of the closet and the room screaming. I slowly came out of the closet, and I heard running form the hall heading in my direction. I saw them stop just as I got to the hallway and when I looked at the three kids that came running this direction like they were going to try and do something. They turned and ran running and almost tripping as they went head over heels screaming at the stairs. 

"There's a shadow dragon in the hallway" one of the boys said "get the guards"

"But what about you" I heard that it was a girl, and I smelled that the crazy brave roommate was long gone to the fields. 

"Don't worry about me I'll hold it off" he said and turned to the other kids "go and get some help" 

"But--" one started

"No, no 'buts' I am going to defend this school from this monster, and I want you guys to stay safe" he said to them both and they looked at him longingly before heading to the stairs.

"Be careful" I heard one of them say "and don't die on us it's your last year here and you are going to graduate" and then they went down the stairs to safety. The brave kid turned to me, and I looked at him curiously tilting my head wondering what a shadow dragon was. 

What's a shadow dragon I asked him, but it seems like he didn't hear me because he threw a large ball of fire at me. I swallowed it like it was nothing, and I tried to speak to him again, but he was already sending volleys of fire balls at me. I didn't move from my spot, I just sat there and waited for him to be done. I saw that he was doing a good job at saving his energy, and it was getting annoying for me. I saw a shadow of his figure, and I rushed forward with inhuman speed, and I jumped on him pinning him to the floor with a paw. He lay there disoriented for a second, and then he realized what happened. 

"If you're going to kill me then do it already" he said, and I sat there looking at him wondering why he was trying to defend everyone from me. 

"Kill me!" he yelled in my face, and I growled at him shutting him up, but didn't do anything. Instead I looked at him one more time, and I saw that he cared about his people. So I took m paw off him, and walked away. I stopped only once to look at him and I saw his disbelieving and shocked face. 

I don't want to hurt you. I just wanted to get answers I stopped ten feet from him and looked at him sitting on the floor and turning around. I saw that he didn't understand, so I tried again. 

Can you hear me I looked at him, and then I huffed and cut the wall with my tail-blade not understanding why he couldn't hear me. Then I walked off, but I felt something hit my scales and bounce off. I looked back to see a couple of men aiming something that looked like and energy gun at me. Then they fired, and I saw a large beam of light in my face before splitting into two, and going into the walls now tainted as black as I was. I looked at them annoyed and they all lowered their guns in surprise. I wondered if they could hear me.  

Can you guys hear me I directed to them, but they didn't have a reaction. I mean other than raising their guns again, flipping a switch on the side and firing yellow light at my face. The same thing happened, it split at my head and tuned black as it passed. I looked at them in boredom, and then I looked behind them and I saw that the kids were coming out of their rooms and either running away, staring, or getting others up and running. I looked behind me and I saw that there were about five kids coming out of their rooms from the commotion. Even though it was lunch time didn't mean that people weren't still sleeping, like I was. I looked at them, and then I looked back at the soldiers, and I saw that they had gotten a little closer. Then I shifted, and when I was done I looked at them in annoyance before going at them with inhuman speed. They were all disabled in a couple of seconds, and all of their guns were behind me. I looked at them in confusion and annoyance, and they just looked at me shocked. Then I saw one of their eyes wander to something behind me, and when I turned around I saw a gun pointed at my head. I looked at the man and started to shift into my first form...my regular form. 

"Don't let her shift fully, or she'll tear everything apart" one of the soldiers said from behind me, and I heard and felt the entire mag of the handgun being emptied into my chest, and one hit my head. I finished shifting and looked at where he had shot me, and I noticed that the bullets had melted into silver, and helped my transformation speed up. 

"Sh**" the man said and started to run, but he didn't get far before I tackled him to the ground, and I looked at him. 

Why are they shooting at me I asked I'm the new student that just got here after being thought dead, and you try to make me dead I huffed loudly and looked at his frightened face. Then I felt something hit my skin and be absorbed into my metal. 

"Fascinating" a man in a blue suit started to walk up to me with a look of awe on his face "how do you do that"

Do what I tried to direct to him, and when I saw his clueless face looking at me in confusion. I tried again do what. Still nothing no reaction and no sort of understanding at all. I lifted my paw off of the man and put him of his feet sending him in the direction of the confused soldiers. Then I saw the man wave to his soldiers before he grabbed the man by his collar and dragged his screaming and kicking over to me. Then he dropped him at my feet, and I looked at the blue-suited man in confusion. 

"Eat him" he said, and I shook my head no. I heard the man breath out a sigh of relief before relaxing a little. It was short lived because I picked him up and threw him to the soldiers, but I made sure not to hit the soldiers. He hit the floor with a thump before running past the soldier and down the stairs "why won't you" the man asked snapping my attention back to him. I looked at him, and then I started to shift into my human self. 

"I don't eat humans" I said "and what's up with this I just got here, and just before I shifted into my fourth form my roommate ran down the stairs screaming, and then they and another started to attack me. What's up with that" I looked at him with waves of heat coming off my skin, and turning my skin a shade of silver. 

"Okay then" the man said "so let me get this. You are the missing dragon shifting girl that is what seventeen--" 

"Fifteen going sixteen" I interrupted

"Okay then you're a sixteen year old girl that everyone's been talking about huh, and your the one that Joe recruited" he finished and I nodded "so where have you been all of this time and why did my daughter come running to me saying that she didn't want to be roommates with a monster" 

"She was your daughter" I asked 

"Yes, she is" he said and then he seemed to notice that his men were waiting for him to give them orders "you guys are dismissed" he said to them and they all started to walk out leaving their weapons in the hallway. 

"Aren't you guys forgetting something" I yelled to them and I pointed to the guns behind me. They changed coarse and went bast me to get their guns one by one, and then they left "so when do I start training" I asked the man in the blue suit "and why do you have a blue suit"

"I am their commander, but I am also a doctor that can control water" he said "that is my element, and you start now since last time we couldn't find you before now" he said and started to walk down the hall, but he stopped halfway to the stairs "did you say that you had four dragon forms" I nodded and he laughed before walking off with me following him. When we got down the stairs I saw that no one was in the building, but we didn't go to the front door but a hallway that had white brick walls. I saw him push on a wall, and it slid back before going to the left and revealing a hidden pathway. 

"Come on" He said "its about time that I show you were we train" and we walked off into the secret passage that the men had probably gone through.
