Chapter 31

It's been a few weeks since both Percy and Chaos had disappeared. She had forgotten to leave a note about going on a trip, to keep it vague, and so when her warriors came back to report on the status of how things were going on Earth. They arrived to see that she was not in her office, the papers on her desk had been completely disregarded and seemingly hadn't even been touched, and there were no indications of where she'd gone at all. Chaos had kept the damage Percy had caused to a minimal and most of the damage that was left unrepaired by the enchantments throughout her office was a small section of a stack of papers having a diagonal cut through half of it.

Only that small mess of papers was any indication that there had been a fight there at all and the Galaxy Warriors were going in a frenzy to find their superior. Sure she might not have been as much of a boss as she was just there to fix some mistakes, train them, and teach them things about most of the planets they traveled to for missions and other events requiring her attention. They all still saw her as a mother figure and with no-where to look first they had thrown themselves into training both themselves and those of Earth after a week of searching every known place they thought she might've gone to as a sort of unplanned retreat. Or even if she'd been captured and someone had left a clue at any of the locations.

Searching all of those planets was very time-consuming and it frustrated them all to no end, but the one that had it worse off was Alpha. He saw this as a personal mistake for not keeping a closer eye on his benefactor. He'd been rescued by Chaos, trained by her, and he'd even been able to get a second family thanks to her and yet even with all of that he wasn't able to prevent this from happening. He was a leader and as a leader he took it on himself for everyone he knew being put in harms way. Even just going on a mission to another planet with barely anything that could go wrong put him on edge and the others knew it.

Forge and Sundrop had both tried everything they could think of to get him to relax and get him back to a decently normal state, but nothing they tried worked. Pranks just made him madder and got them extra time in training Hell. Conspiring with the others to figure out his favorite things and trying to get him to those things didn't work either as he was so focused on training and making sure that cage was built and in position that he wasn't paying attention to anything else. Not even serving his favorite food worked anymore as he seemed to eat only the littlest amount possible before going back to training or overseeing the several Operations on Earth.

So it was about time they tried something else...

Forge walked through the hallways of the palace before coming to a doorway so dark one would think that the only thing on the other side would be an endless expanse of darkness that not even light would be able to penetrate, but he simply knocked on the edge of the frame, waited a few seconds and then walked through. Turns out the other side wasn't much better than the doorway as most of the walls were just as dark as the doorway was but there were several light's spread out through the room and after a bit of walking Forge arrived at a scene like that of a war-meeting.

Four others were already seated at the table with no words having been spoken for the entirety they had been waiting. Forge didn't even no as he took a seat, it wasn't the time to greet someone as if it were a normal day. Suddenly a hologram came up at the center of the table and an imitation of Sundrop appeared in it.

"If this recording had been brought up that meas a teammate's mental health has been declining at a very rapid pace of late and I am sure that we all have tried something to fix it. However there is a time where drastic measures need to be taken to stop things from going further down hill and no Silver that does not mean we cut off said person's legs to make them see that they are not the only person that cares about a certain thing. And if it is Silver that is in a bad mental state I wish you all the best of luck...

"Anyways you all have brought up this recording for a reason and that reason is that nothing else has worked and the times are only getting worse. There may be a party of some kind around the corner, there may be an important meeting that can't be put in jeopardy, or there might be a war on the horizon and you all need to do some thing to pull the team together again to act as a unit. And while I am sad to admit this is something that both Silver and, more than likely, Shadow are both going to enjoy. I don't know if Glamour will enjoy it too but there's no harm including her as well. I'm getting off topic here...The thing you need to do is..."

There was a long pause for effect and while there were three people among the group that were very quiet. Two of them were silent in anticipation, one already knows what is going to be said, and another was just wanting to get back to what he was doing before.

"...Kidnap him and take over his duties." At this moment the room exploded into chaos. Both Glamour and Silver let out surprised yells of anger turned annoyance and another one was shocked into silence. Forge was leaning back in his chair in annoyance as there was no way he was going to be getting out of this, but all four of them agreed that this last resort was a good choice as there was nothing else anyone could think of, or at least nothing better than something more violent.

"Okay while the idea of this is pretty good sounding to me how are we actually going to do it?" Silver asked and the room fell silent once again. Alpha was the strongest of the team, with Silver being a close second and Shadow as third, but kidnapping someone as powerful as him was not going to be an easy feat. They were going to need a good plan, and a plan for if that plan didn't go well. As well as the fact that if this all failed they all would be facing some of the worst consequences they could possibly imagine. Sure they feel like the integrity of their squad is in danger with their leader's emotions going haywire like this, but whether or not said person accepted that was an entirely different thing.

Several ideas came up and they all were struck down before even getting to the second, or third steps, and soon enough a few hours had gone by with no progress. Everyone was starting to get mentally exhausted and a few hadn't even been paying attention for that fact. Forge had given up thirty minutes into planning and was tinkering with metal of an unknown origin, shaping and bending it into whatever shape he wanted it to appear as. The second person, Shadow, to everyone's surprise, has fallen asleep an hour ago and in a position that made it seem like she was listening to the others.

The loud slamming of a fist hitting the table fixed both problems in a flash.

"I'm listening"
"Huh?"

Shadow had been startled awake and was looking around clueless as to what happened, and Forge's metal-work had disassembled itself in his hands and was now in pieces all over him and the table.

"Neither of you are listening" Silver lectured pointing a finger at Shadow accusingly, "I expected you to at least try to come up with something but instead I find you sleeping in your chair?" Shadow shrunk into their chair in embarrassment and mumbled a "Sorry overlord"

"What was that soldier?" Silver growled glaring at the shivering living shadow in the corner of their chair.

"Okay I think it's time for a break" Sundrop said suddenly cutting in and keeping the angry huntress from cutting a teammate into bloody ribbons. Silver's glare turned in his direction and he suppressed his shivers of fear from showing themselves in the face of such a Demon. "We've been at this for a while and we are clearly getting no-where. Three of the five here have stopped paying attention and all of your ideas have been struck down before the second stage, so maybe we all get something to eat and then come back and continue this afterwards?"

"Three?" Silver hissed and Sundrop thought an apology before nodding.

"Yes Glamour was also starting to lose the motivation to keep at it with this," he said with now one less glare in his direction, "I'm sorry Glorious but it had to be done."

"I'm so getting you back for this." Glamour hissed and Sundrop sighed in resignation. Silver took a moment to look at everyone else and saw that, as usual, Sundrop was correct that they were getting nowhere and that was where they would likely stay if this continued. So she agreed.

"Okay I will give you all twelve hours to think of a decent plan and when that time is up I want everyone in training area 5, and that is where we will be staying until this is over." And the surge of excitement and relief that everyone felt had disappeared just as quickly as the impending doom awaiting their future hung over their necks like an inevitable noose.

------------------------------------------

Sally had been worried, but it was a lot worse as of late. Paul was trying to do what he could, comforting her, asking her to let all of her thought out on him, and just trying to be there whenever she needed it, but it was hard. Not only did they both have to worry about sending their daughter abroad due to the possibility of attracting one of the god's attention due to Sally already having been courted by one of the big three, but there was also the nagging in her head about Percy and that something extremely bad has happened to him.

She'd already been to Hades' realm, twice actually. The first time wasn't intentional, but the second time was to see if the god would allow her to see if her son had died and if he had allow her to talk to him one last time, but she wasn't even allowed past the front gates and had to spend twice the amount to get there and out alive.

Annabeth also wasn't answering her calls for some reason. She didn't know if something had happened to the phone Sally gave her ten years ago but surely she would've been told by someone if something had happened to them.

Anyways today Anome was finally coming to visit, she was seven now and a little ball of energy. Almost literally seeing that somehow she'd gotten powers not related to the gods in any ways pertaining to a control over light itself. Sally had been approached by a group of people calling themselves her salvation, that were soon attacked by another group of people calling themselves Avengers. What a strange name right?

That was the last straw and Sally decided to move out of that place to the cabin by the lake she'd been informed about by Poseidon when they were together. He told her that she could go there whenever Sally felt things were getting to be too much to handle so after what had just happened she decided that it was time. Though she did hope that not leaving a note or something for Percy didn't backfire and cause him to panic thinking they'd been kidnapped or something. Sally was sure that he had enough problems to worry about at the moment but she was still worried about why he nor anyone related to him had contacted her.

A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts and Sally stepped out of the kitchen and stalked to the door thinking that it was a bit early for Anome and Paul to having been back already. She cracked open the door a little and looked to see who it could be and she was shocked to see a man in a star-spangled cosplay outfit on her doorstep.

"I think you're a bit lost sir" Sally said and the man's expression turned to that of confusion, "the flag festival happened a few months ago and I don't remember hiring anyone of your taste. Not that I would in the first place." The man's expression went through several different states, but the main theme was confusion throughout.

Someone laughing in the background caused Sally to open the door a little wider to see that there was a man in a proper black three piece suit and another guy with a bow and full quiver on his back keeling over in laughter. The one with the bow was trying his best to gather himself and the one in the suit was smirking at the cosplayer.

"I told you to come in a suit Steve." He said and Steve took a moment and recomposed himself before looking Sally in the eye.

"I'm sorry for the misunderstanding ma'am, but..."

"Just Sally" Sally interrupted.

"Sorry?"

"Calling me ma'am makes me feel old so just call me Sally, my name." She said and Steve was confused but continued nonetheless. "We're here about your son, Percy."

Sally opened the door wide in shock and stepped up to him quickly. "You know where he is. Please tell me he's okay." Steve was shocked. That was not the response he was expecting, and neither were the others as even Natasha was confused.

"You haven't seen him?" She spoke and Sally shook her head turning around and inviting them all in with a wave. She continued as she walked to the kitchen to grab the cookies she'd been baking. Why was it that someone important seemed to come over whenever she was making a giant batch of blue chocolate chip cookies?

"No I haven't seen him in a while. Its been ten years and no one's come to me about his whereabouts." Sally said, "I don't know if he's dead, been kidnapped again, or if something worse has happened?"

"What about close friends, or other family?" Natasha asked as Sally put the cookies on a wax-paper covered platter.

"No one's come around. I don't know why and I've been worried that something really bad has happened to him." Sally said and those in the room looked at each other in silent agreement. Well except for Tony. He was looking at the wall full of photos in deep thought.

"How recent are these?" He asked and after setting the platter on the table in the center of the living room table Sally went over to stand by the wall and pick out a series of pictures with different explanations and context as to where they were taken. None of them were any sooner than ten years ago, as by the stamp on the backs of the frames, but Sally clearly remembered each moment like it was but a day before.

"Please tell me you know what happened to him...and why you are all dressed like that?" Sally asked. Clint was gorging himself on the cookies, as was Bruce. Even Natasha had a half-eaten on in her hand and Tony was putting some in a container Sally didn't notice he'd brought with.

"What's in these?" Bruce asked and Clint nodded in agreement, "They taste amazing." Sally smiled warmly at what looked like a group of teenagers in her living room but didn't give them an answer. It took everyone a few more minutes to come back to the situation and Steve was the first to apologize.

"I...uh...We're sorry for barging in like this but there's something you probably should know about your son." He said and Sally didn't look like she was expecting anything too surprising. "He's not exactly human." She didn't even react and that immediately caught Natasha's attention. Steve seems to have misjudged her silence though as he continued.

"Your son seems to..."

"I know." Sally said and took the empty platter away. There was more hidden in the oven for Anome and Paul later. She'd made the mistake of making only a single batch of these once and the ones intended to have them didn't get any afterwards. She vowed to never make that mistake again.

"Excuse me?" Steve asked and Sally came back to sit down on a stool by the island at the front of the kitchen.

"He has half of my DNA and half of his father's, and his father wasn't exactly entirely human either so I already know Percy isn't entirely human...unless something's different now?" Sally said and Clint spoke up this time.

"Did he have fangs, claws, and chains on his wrists and ankles last time you saw him?" He asked and Sally's eyes gained a dangerous glint to them that startled everyone in the room, but reaching for their weapons was unfounded as Sally's eyes instantly became focused again and she noticed what had happened.

"Ah sorry. I just got a little upset at a certain group of people, but you shouldn't worry about it." Sally said and moved to the wall again, "I guess I was right after all. Something really bad's happened hasn't it?"

And so the interrogation began.

I want to first say I'm sorry for updating so dam slowly lately, as well as being so irregular with them, and I should've said something but I had a busy last few weeks and it's the last week of Exams for college currently so I have a lot on my mind.

Anyways I wanted to apologize again for a different reason: I completely forgot about Sally...and Percy's new siblings. I was just so focused on trying to find a good way to converge this into a end-scene that I messed up and left so many f*ing plot-holes that not even the marina trench holds a candle to them.

I'll have to fix a whole lot of crap later but for now I just wanted to release something as I've been slacking in many areas as of late and with the weather being all wacky and me having far too many excuses to make good use of available time I've been falling apart.

No I am not discontinuing this story. That would be an absolute disgrace to my mind to just give up when I'm so close to an end, but it's going to take a while longer so please bear with me.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I hope to have more out soon with a good way to incorporate all of the things I've come up with, and I'll just tell you now that that cage is going to be a real nuisance.
