A few weeks later.
Since Isagi and Takemichi became friends, Iyo decided to change Isagi's school to be the same as Takemichi's.
Iyo wanted to transfer isagi earlier but the decided to let the two boys get too know each other more.
"REALLY?!!"
Isagi covered his ears.
"SLOW DOWN!"
Takemichi smiled sheepishly.
"Hehe, sorry. I got excited."
"I can introduce you to a few of my new friends now! :)"
Isagi stared at the black-haired boy.
"Who?"
"Shhhhhh."
"It's a secret. You'll know once you come to the school. Alsooo, don't forget to ask to change to my class, okay?"
Isagi rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah."
The next morning, Isagi woke up early, finished breakfast, and went to the primary school he was going to register for.
The school building was larger than his old one, with bright blue gates and a playground visible from the entrance.
Isagi clutched his mother's hand tightly as they walked through the front doors, his small lobster plush keychain dangling from his backpack.
They entered the principal's office, where a kind-looking woman with glasses greeted them.
"Good morning! You must be Mrs. Isagi and this little one must be Yoichi-kun," the principal said warmly.
Iyo bowed politely. "Yes, thank you for having us. We're here to complete the transfer process."
While the adults discussed paperwork, schedules, and class placements, Isagi sat quietly on a small chair, swinging his legs back and forth.
He pulled out his lobster plush keychain and began playing with it, making little clicking sounds as he moved its claws.
Click. Click. Click.
The principal glanced at him and smiled. "He's very well-behaved."
Iyo beamed. "He's an angel."
Isagi, completely oblivious to the conversation, made his lobster do a little dance on his knee.
After what felt like forever, the homeroom teacher—a young woman with short brown hair and a gentle smile—appeared at the door.
"Isagi Yoichi-kun? Please come with me. I'll take you to your new class."
Hearing this, Isagi looked up at his mother. Iyo nodded and smiled encouragingly.
Isagi stood up, walked over to her, and gave her a small kiss on the cheek before leaving with the teacher.
Iyo's heart was shot by an arrow.
Goodness, whose child is that? Hehehe.
The teacher led Isagi down a long hallway, past colorful drawings and alphabet posters, until they reached a classroom door.
"Alright, everyone! We have a new student joining us today. Please be kind and welcoming!"
She gently nudged Isagi forward.
Isagi smiled, and his two little hair sprouts sprung up.
"Hello! My name is Isagi Yoichi!"
Everyone in the class was shot by an arrow.
What a cute kid!
"Thank you, Yoichi-kun. You can find a seat now," the teacher said.
Isagi scanned the room. His eyes landed on a familiar head of spiky hair near the window.
Michi!
He started walking toward him, but stopped when he reached the desk next to Takemichi's. A black-haired boy with striking red eyes was sitting there.
"Hey," Isagi said.
"Huh?" The boy looked up.
"What's your name?"
"Uh, Kakuchou."
Hearing this, Isagi smiled again.
"Kakuchou, can you sit somewhere else? I want to sit here."
Kakuchou was shocked.
He was being cast away from his own seat?
He couldn't let this be.
"Why should I?"
"Because I want to."
"No."
When Kakuchou said no, Isagi was pissed. The reason he wanted to sit there was because Takemichi was next to him.
Isagi stared at Takemichi, his eyes pouting and his hair sprouts seemed to wither.
It seemed to convey a message to him.
Are you just going to let this be...?
Pity me...
Takemichi, seeing Isagi's pitiful state, couldn't bear to prolong his suffering. So he grabbed Kakuchou.
"Baka-michi?" Kakuchou blinked.
And put him somewhere else before grabbing Isagi to sit next to him.
Isagi let out a sneaky tongue to show his victory to the confused Kakuchou.
Kakuchou, still in a daze, was shocked.
He was thrown away?
Excuse me?
"There you go," Takemichi smiled.
In return, Isagi kissed Takemichi's cheek, and Takemichi did the same.
It had somehow become a daily exchange for them to kiss each other's cheeks—not that either of them was bothered by it.
But the whole class, especially Kakuchou, was indeed bothered.
The whole class was shocked.
Meanwhile, Kakuchou was very, very jealous.
Takemichi wouldn't even let me touch his cheeks, but this random kid got to kiss it?
And was kissed too???
How is this fair...
Isagi settled into his seat, swinging his legs happily. He pulled out his lobster plush keychain and placed it on his desk.
"This is Mr. Lobster," Isagi whispered to Takemichi. "He's my guardian."
Takemichi gasped. "A guardian lobster! That's so cool!"
"I know, right?"
Kakuchou watched them from across the room, his eye twitching.
What is happening...
During lunch break, Takemichi grabbed Isagi's hand and pulled him toward a group of kids in the corner of the classroom.
"Yoo-chan! These are my friends! Well, some of them!"
Isagi tilted his head.
There was a boy with blonde hair quietly eating his lunch.
"This is Takuya! He's super cool and smart!"
Takuya looked up and nodded at Isagi. "hello"
Next to him was a boy with short peach pink and small round eyes, munching on a rice ball.
"And this is hina the boy we saved before He's really fun!"
Hina seeing the other party was pissed.
"Isnt that the kid that kidnapped takemichi before i got to know him?"
"How rude"
"So rude"
"Thank god we go to the same school or i would've beat him up >:("
There was also a boy with black hair who had just arrived.
"And that's kakuchou! he nice but i dont think he likes you much."
Isagi stared at the boy.
"pathethic"
he whispered.
Isagi hugged Takemichi suddenly. "Thank you, Michi."
"For introducing me to such WOOOONDERFULL friends :3"
Takemichi hugged him back. "Of course, Yoo-chan! :3"
Kakuchou, who had been watching from a distance, felt his soul leave his body.
He's hugging him now?!
In front of everyone?!
After school, Isagi and Takemichi walked out together, hand in hand.
"So, how was your first day?" Takemichi asked.
"Good. I made Kakuchou hate me, though."
"Not that i cared though but still"
Takemichi laughed nervously. "Yeah, he looked pretty mad..."
"He'll get over it."
"I hope so..."
"I don't want him to come sabotage our relationship because of that"
"I'm sure he won't ^^"
Isagi stopped walking and looked at Takemichi seriously.
"Michi."
"Yeah?"
"I'm glad I'm here. With you."
"It's like were destined."
Takemichi's face turned pink. "Yoo-chan..."
"Im glad to have you too yknoww"
Then Isagi smiled—that warm, genuine smile that made Takemichi's heart feel full.
"Let's go home."
"Yeah!"
And they walked off together, their small hands still linked, as the sun set behind them.
Meanwhile, back in the classroom, Kakuchou sat alone at his new desk, staring at the ceiling.
What just happened today...
Who was that kid...
And why does Takemichi like him so much...
He clenched his fist.
This isn't over, Isagi Yoichi.
This isn't over.
Takemichi is his hero.
His alone!.
