Aarav was in his room, unpacking his bags while humming a song. He was happy to be back here. It's not he didn't enjoy it there. He did. In fact, he had some best moments of his life there only. States made him grow up in a very different way and now he knew why manan wanted them to go there. To get out of their comfort zone. He has many times challenged his own self there and always have become a better version of himself. A version which he never knew exist or a version which he never thought he will be able to become but he did. He learned some ugly truths about life, saw the unseen face of society. A face that either used to make him amused or a face that sometimes used to make him question his existence. After all this, he can proudly say, he has come a long way. Everyone in the group has come. Now whenever he looked back at his 18 yrs self, he feels proud.

Indulge in his thoughts, aarav didn't notice when manik came from behind and shouted 'bhoo' in his ear making him jump in fear.

Aarav-(startled) jeez dad, what's wrong with you?

Manik chuckled and sat on the bed in the minimum space cause the whole bed was covered with aarav's clothes and accessories.

Manik-(raising his one eyebrow) sooo?

Aarav-(doing same actions) sooooo?

Manik-( rolling his tongue inside his mouth) what's going on? How's life buddy?

Aarav-(smiling cheerfully) Amazing. Surreal.

Seeing him so happy and content, a smile broke on Manik's lips too. He was scared, what if things didn't work out the way he and Nandini is imagining. What if they all lost their bond? What if everyone becomes distant from each other? What if there is no more temple guy and brat? What if princess and bhaiyu lost their bonds? But now seeing them so happy and that too together with each other, he feels satisfied.

Manik-(looking at nowhere particular) you know what?

Aarav-(picking up his clothes) what?

Manik-we were scared.

Aarav halt his moments and looked at Manik with a confused gaze. Sensing his stare, manik looked at him and continue.

Manik-what if we all end up losing our bond? What if you and myrah, karan and myrah or you and Karan lost your bond? What if you guys start feeling uncomfortable or distant from us? There were sooo many what ifs...but you guys proved to us that our decision of sending you all there were correct and we can't be more proud of you all.

Aarav-(giving him small smile) trust me dad...we felt the same. In fact, I was most scared but Karan made sure we don't end up doing that. Maybe he was aware of this already.

Manik-(confusingly) what do you mean?

Aarav- in our starting days, we used to be dead tired. Though we told you guys we want to be independent so we started working part-time but trust me college and jobs used to make us go insane. In starting days we never used to feel like calling anyone. Not because we didn't miss you guys but because we thought we will end up crying in front of you all and you know that had happened many times and on some days we used to feel so exhausted that we used to sleep on empty stomachs even if food used to be there Infront of us, so talking with you all was the next-level thing.
But Karan, idk why...but he always used to make sure every one of us is calling you guys.. talking with myrah and Don't know how but whenever we used to call you na...we always used to get some different energy, satisfaction afterwards. In those days we used to hate karan for this but later on, I guess we understood why he used to do this.
He was aware of this life already, he knew its consequences, whatever we were learning slowly there, he had learned all those life lessons already..... that's why he made sure we don't end up paying the same way he did. We don't do those mistakes which he did. But at the same time, he used to let us make some mistakes so that we know from next time what we are getting ourselves into.

Manik didn't say anything for few mins, he didn't know what to say or what to feel. But one thing was clear...those past traumas have done some damages to Karan's life which they will never be able to replace. Not letting himself go into his thoughts again, he changed the topic and started talking randomly about other things.

Aarav sat down on a bed with a thud after completing his work.

Aarav-(drinking water) Howz my brat?

Manik-(making a bad face) always engrossed in her studies. At one point she used to hate those books and now? Idk what black magic Nandini has done on my poor baby.

Aarav-(laughingly) I know right when you guys told us she has chosen PCBM we were shocked too. What happened to her haan?

Manik- (sadly pouting) she has become too ambitious. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but I miss my old playful baby. Ahhh how I used to wish she never grow up but alas!

Aarav-(chuckling) sad thing.

On another side, nandini was helping myrah in making bio notes when karan walked in. He looked around with an amused face as the room was filled with books, stationaries, sticky notes, flashcards and whatnot.

He walked towards myrah and took her in a side hug making both nandini and myrah smile.

Karan-(whispering) my princess has grown up haan?

Myrah-(chuckling) yesshh.

Karan-(kissing on her head) I'm so proud of you.

Myrah didn't say anything just snuggles in his chest making him patt her head like a baby.

Nandini started caressing his hair making him smile.

Nandini-(lovingly) you need a haircut jaano.

Karan-(sighing) I know maa, was too busy from past few months that's why didn't get time. Me Varun and aarav are planning to go to the salon tomorrow.

Nandini nodded and then after few mins asked him something.

Nandini-(softly) what's more beta? You all have completed your studies, did an internship for one year as well..now what? Are you going to stay here or move back?

Karan- honestly I really don't know maa, dad and abhi chachu have their companies abroad too. So we have both the options. Aradhya and diya got job offers from big firms. They can place them in any country as per their wish so it's up to diya and aradhya only, where they want to work afterwards.

Myrah-(pouting) so what you all will decide? If you are going abroad, I'll accompany you too this time.

Karan- for sure you will. But abhi it's not decided jaano. We can stay here as well but mrudula studies are still not completed. I mean she is going to start her PhD now to become a research scientist. Uk she has got an amazing job offer, she has to work as an assistant researcher in their lab and then they will pay for her whole PhD course. So currently, it's up to her.
That's why I'm saying, don't depend on us, baby...if you want to go abroad go there, if you don't want to then don't. It's about your career jaano.

Myrah-(smiling) I know bhaiyu but I want to be with you guys now. I have searched for all the best opportunities both abroad and in India. So I'm prepared, don't worry.

Karan- that's good. (He looked at Nandini and continue) maa, if we choose to move back, can you guys come too? With us? Please maa, now every one of us will be working and every one of you has their company branches there. Even you can work in the best hospitals there... please?

Myrah-(getting excited) yes yess... please maaa!!!!

Now Nandini was in dilemma. What should she answer them now?

Nandini- baby, you asked so suddenly...idk how everyone else will react. Let me talk to them and then we can decide? Abhi you have 3 months right?

Karan nodded and lay down pushing some books on another side while now myrah and nandini continued their study session again leaving karan doing something on his phone.

They were sitting like this only for half an hour when they heard loud shouts coming from downstairs. They got up and move out of the room to see Manik and aarav coming from another side with the same confused expression on their faces.

Together they all moved down to see navya and neyonika hugging Varun and Diya while cabir was sitting on the sofa munching on his food.

Aradhya ran towards navya shouting "maa" while navya was shouting her name making everyone close their ears cause of their shrill voices.

Navya-(placing kisses all over her face) aww hamari beti kitni badi hogyi Hai.
(Our daughter has grown up a lot)

Aradhya giggles and again hugged navya while aarav and Karan ran towards neyonika hugging her from both sides.

Neyonika-(placing a hand on both of their cheeks) my babies. How are you both?

Aarav/karan-(smiling) good.

Mrudula was just continuously looking at the door waiting for her parents. They must have been home by now and don't know why she is not getting good vibes from yesterday.

Seeing her lost nandini walked towards her and called her softly.

Nandini-(lovingly) what happened Bacha? You look tensed.

Mrudula-( giving her a small smile) nothing maa, just waiting for maa papa. They must be home by now na, where are they?

Nandini- don't worry baby, they must be coming.

Aarav came from behind and hugged her or should we say pressed her tightly from behind making her scowl.

Mrudula-(hitting him) leave me jerk.

Aarav-(chuckling) why so sad? They must be coming, don't worry.

Mrudula- (smiling) hmm you are right. I'm overthinking I guess.

Aarav- Yes you are. (Turning towards nandini) maa I'm hungry yrr... let's eat naaaa, please.

Nandini-okay come, (looking at everyone else) acha chalo ab khana khaa le?
(Okay now shall we eat the food?)

Manik-(pouting) yes yes let's go I'm hungry too.

Manik-(narrowing his eyes) you was just now eating like a pig.

Cabir- even after so many years you don't understand me Manik, what type of best friend you are? Tch.

Navya-(laughing) yeah you don't understand Manik? He needs food 24/7.

Manik-(rolling his eyes) yeah all he do is eat sleep and repeat.

Everyone chuckled listening to them while cabir was having that proud look on his face. After this small sweet banter, everyone walked towards dinning area to have lunch.
