Have you ever had that feeling when you know you have to prepare to fight? Or have that feeling that you know you may loose but your okay with it? Or maybe loose someone you love in the process to achieve what you want? 

That's how I feel.

I feel stuck, but it feels right. Should I dive right in or stay back? Is it wrong love someone you shouldn't? Your best friend's Sister? 

I wake up in my bed and let out a deep sigh, I check the time and jump out of bed.

"Shit!" I say looking at the clock that reads 9:45 am. I forgot that Aedan and I start the bar tending job today. We both have to be there at 10am for shift changes. So I grab a pair of jeans from off of my floor and grab a plain white shirt. I get up and look at myself in the mirror and realize a small stain from the dinner we had last night. So I grab my blue flannel to cover the stain and put on a pair of tan work boots.

I race downstairs and out the door to Aedan's house.

"Aedan!!" I yell pounding on the door. The door opens forcefully, revealing his mother. 

"Aedan isn't here you Boggar! He went to work!" She says slamming the door in my face. Why didn't he come and get me? I run across the freshly cut grass and across the mis-shapen hills. Once I reach the bar, I wheeze and try to catch my breath before opening the door. 

"Nice job Horan! You only had two minutes to spare I thought you were gonna get goosed!" Aedan laughed as I slapped him in the head. 

"What was that for!" He said aiding the back of his head.

"For being a jerkoff! You know good enough that I just live two feet away, you could've drove me" I said as he laughed.

"I thought it would be a lot more fun to watch you squirm" he chuckled. "Now we get to clean up tables and mop floors" he says sarcastically rolling his eyes.

"But I thought we'd be givin' out pints or something?"

"Nope, we have to work our way up" he shook his head grabbing a bucket to put dishes in as someone knocks me in my shoulder.

"Well isn't it Aedan and his arsewipe, you know the Jacks is over there" someone says in a deep voice behind me. I turn around and see a rugged, tall, fella whose muscles are bigger than my head. 

"Oh shut up Ronan" Aedan growls.

"Be quiet you boggar! And I control your every move, so if you don't be quiet I'll-" 

"Ronan, that's enough" the manager states. "Or else I'll fire you" he points.

"Come on Gordon! All in good fun!" Ronan says putting an arm around my shoulders.

"Yeah all good fun" I say pushing him off of me as he smirks and returns to work.

"Now boys my name is Gordon, I met ya the other day if you don't remember. I'm gonna have you on cleaning duty for 3 weeks and Niall After work I'll help you hall the tractor to your gaff so you can work on it till the derby" he nods as Aedan and I smile. 

"Now I want at least 2,000 dollars of the prize money if you win, so I can fix up this old place" he says as Aedan shakes his head.

"No way!" 

"Aedan you didn't tell me about prize money" I say as he looks over and sighs.

"Whoever wins gets a 25,000 dollar prize" he says as I grin.

"Aedan just let him have it, that's more than enough for both of our families" I reassure him as he nods. 

"Alright Sir, but I better get half" he says pointing at me. 

"Of course you boggar" I say nudging his side.

It's the end of my first day, and I am exhausted. I find myself kneeling on the wooden floor, scrubbing the unnoticeable stains. I am soaked from head to toe of at least 25 different liquids from throughout the course of the day. I smell like a drunk, and my hair somehow has crisps and beernuts in each follicle. 

Just as I get up someone comes through the door and speeds past me. She locks lips with the bartender as I walk towards them. I notice the girl is in fact Caitriona, and the bartender is in fact Ronan. I walk towards them as Kate sits down on a stool and continues kissing him. I purposely bump into her, spilling the dirty mop water all over her. 

"Ugh!" She yells and turns around reveling her red, fiery eyes. 

"You are a completely insensitive jerkoff" she squeals shaking the water off of her as I shrug. 

"Believe me if he is smart he stay away from you and the new smell you've just accustomed" I chuckled as she gritted her teeth.

"Ronan take me home" she says as he pushes her off of him.

"No way, I don't want my car smelling like dirty gym socks" he says holding his nose and walking out the door.

"I told you" I laughed as she punched me in the jaw. I am drawn back by this and I fall back on a barstool.

"There. now I feel better" she says aiding her hand and fixing her posture.

"You really have this thing for playing hard to get" I said walking toward the door as she catches my arm.

"And you know you have this thing for making people actually hate you" she snaps back as I look at her in her eyes for a moment. I stare deeply, and helplessly into her ocean blue eyes, then I look away.

"Come on I better get you home before I get goosed by your brother" I say changing the subject and locking up the bar. Just as I do someone peers from the bushes.

"Hey Niall!" Aedan says holding his bottle of beer in the air.

He's completely hammered.

"Aedan where's your car?" I ask as Caitriona puts her brothers arm around her waist to balance him.

"God Kate! You reek like a Jacks after Paps eats Mum's corn beef and hash!" He says plugging his nose. Kate turns around and glares at me with hate, and rolls her eyes.

"Come on let's get you home"
