"Aedan tell me where we're goin'" I say following him. He looks back at me with a smirk and pushes over a bush revealing his barn and opening the gates.

"Oh don't you tell me they didn't do this in the states" he laughs hopping on the tractor. 

"Oh I totally forgot about our tractor races!" I say climbing up, he pushes me down.

"I have mine, you have yours" he laughs pointing behind me to his old rusty tractor he called Marmilade.

"That fossil probably doesn't run" I sigh.

"You bet? She's the second fastest in the village" he says as my mouth gapes.

"Whose is the fastest?" I ask as he puts on his helmet and smiles.

"Mine" he says revving his engine.  "Come on you boggar" he says as I turn on Marmilade and drive past him.

"You cheat!" He squeaks as I stick out my tongue and laugh. "You are no better than my jacks!" He says catching up with me as I smirk.

"It's better than being your Mum's arsewipe!" I yell over the engine as he scoffs.

"It's on Horan" he says speeding past me. "Whoever makes it to the lake last has to buy the other a pint at the pub!" He yells as we take a sharp turn. I accept his bet with a nod and I rev my engine. We become head to head, Aedan swerves and knocks my tractor's side almost making me spin out.

"Are you crazy! You Baloobas Boggar!" I yell as he shrugs.

"Aye" he laughs. "Woah Niall watch out!" 

"Very funny Aedan" I smirk as he stops in the middle of the road. I cheer looking behind me, my eyes follow forward and the tractor leaps over the tiny cliff sending me airborne.

"Shit!" I yell landing into the water. I swim back up to the surface and I pull mud from my hair.

"Niall I said to the lake not into the lake!" He laughs as I throw mud at him, landing on his face.

"You're such a Mingr Hole" I say as he nods.

"I deserved that" he sighs. "Come on" he says helping me out of the water.

"Poor Marmilade" I sigh pulling more mud out of my hair.

"Well now the second fastest is Ronan's tractor, now I really have no chance at winning the tractor derby. He's the biggest cheat in the league! I'm toast." He sighs. 

"Not unless I'm in the durby" I say as he shakes his head.

"Marmilade was our only chance, and how are we supposed to get another tractor? Once I tell my Mum about Marmilade, I'll really be Goosed" he sighs.

"Don't worry about it, I have an idea" I say as we both start walking to the pub.

Once we get to the pub Aedan orders both of us a pint. I ask the manager if he'd offer me a job. 

"Do I look like a baloobas! I know your gonna be buzzin' on the job!" He says as I plea.

"Come on fella! I really need the job to buy a tractor for the Derby" I say as reconsiders. 

"I have a tractor I'd give ya, but only if you and your friend here will work for me. And Niall a man is only as good as his word, the tractor isn't worth much and you need to fix it up with your own money. And if you're willing to do that, I'll give you the job" he says as Aedan glares. 

"Just say it you boggar" 

"Alright we'll take it" I say as he nods.

"Alight you start tommorow. I have your pints coming right up" he says as we both sit down at the bar. Once we are served, Aedan pats my shoulder. 

"This was well deserved" he said as we both clinked glasses. 

"Definitely" I sighed as Caitriona appears behind him.

"Hey Aedan would you mind buying me and my friends a pint?" She says batting her eyelashes. 

"No, you're 17 Caitriona" he rolls his eyes.

"I'm turning eighteen in a month, why can't you just-" 

"I said no Kate, go home" he says as she scoffs.

"Fine" she growls heading out the door with her friends.

"She's not going home you know that" I say as he takes a sip of his pint.

"I know, she'll probably get hammered at Ronan's or something" he sighed as I get up. 

"Well come on boggar, lets go after her" I say lifting him out of his chair. "Your Mum will goose you for not looking after her" I say as he reconsiders.

"Dead on you boggar" he says as I smile. We both run outside and just as she is about to get in her friends' car he grabs her by the arms.

"Oh no you don't" Aedan says as he squeals. 

"Get off of me Aedan!" She says.

"Ladies, you better best go on without Caitriona" I say as they drive off.

"Were going home" Aedan says.

"Why?" She says trying to escape his grip.

"Because Mum doesn't want you hanging out with Mingrs like him" he says.

"He is not a Mingr! You hole!" She says as we reach their gaff. 

"Hey Mum! We're home!" Aedan says as his sister runs upstairs.

"Just in time! Hurry up and get ready for supper" she says fixing her apron. "Niall are you staying?" She asks.

"Yes Mum" I nod as she smiles and heads back into the kitchen. 

"Do you mind if I take a shower?" I ask Aedan feeling the dried mud in my hair.

"Yeah sure, I'm just gonna be playing some video games in my room" he says. "Come on, I'll get you some clothes" he says as I follow him up the stairs.

After Aedan gives me some clothes, I quickly get undressed in the bathroom and step into the shower. Once I'm finished I put a towel around my waist, just as I do someone opens the door.

"Oh my god I didn't mean to-" Kate says shielding her eyes as I cut her off. 

"It's fine" I say as she stares up and down my chest. "Okay you can go now" I say as she shuts the door quickly.

We all begin to eat Mrs. Walsh's haggis that she made. I already see Aedan shoveling scoops into his dog's mouth while I'm talking to his Mum.

Kate won't stop staring at me and it's becoming incredibly annoying. She is beautiful, and witty, but she is my best friend's sister, so I'm gonna show him respect. I can't get over the smell of her purfume still stuck in the air. Oh it's hard, so hard...

Wait? Do I have a thing for my best friend's sister?
