Chapter 3

Zephyra Point of View

"Zeph, here, here," I can hear Via's voice, but why is she not visible?

I looked around the busy market, for some reason, it's pretty crowded today. Even after looking for her for over three minutes, I couldn't find her but Via's and Orea's voices are still ringing in my ears.

For a moment, I mentally transformed myself into a zombie, closed my eyes and followed the sound of loud yelling from my best friends.

Surely, that was a good trick because before I knew, I was in front of them and this is one of the many instances that I feel that I am a little too intelligent for this backwatered world.

"Oreo, Via! So good to see you both." I hugged them both separately and together.

"We saw each other just this morning, before that, we spent the whole day yesterday, before that we –" With Via counting our times spent together, Orea stopped her chattering by closing her mouth.

"Right, why are our stalls not at their usual places?" I asked, noticing that all three stalls are now somewhere near the east gate exit but not at near the book shop in the center.

"Some people with extra money registered for our usual spots so we had to take these three instead. But it's okay, since everyone has to leave through this path, we will surely have better sales." Although Via sounded angry for getting robbed of our places, Orea must've given her some good words.

However, to intentionally rob our places is not something I would appreciate either. So, I settled down and placed all my goods neatly on the table before me. Then, took out a very colorful and sparkling banner advertising my stall and placed it in front of my stall.

One look at it, and no one will be able to ignore such an attractive banner. Even if one is blind, they could still feel the pull of the powerful charms I made.

Given it a satisfied smile, I glanced my friends' stall. Via is a great trinkets maker.

What? A trinket maker? Isn't that a very common hobby or a profession? You might ask!

But Via has this deep love and interest in history. She is absolutely not too concerned about the Kings, their reigns and all but instead, she is intrigued by their lifestyle.

So, the trinkets she makes are all not from the current era. She makes them according to ancient styles which is not narrowed down to one kingdom or country. Like, cuff links or other chain-like accessories attached to a dress were mainly used in France, the sparkling hair ornaments that originated from China; the anklets, bracelets, bangles etc., from India.

She can make many items that are not only interesting but look extremely beautiful too.

On the other hand, Oreo is a very good painter. He sells his paintings and earns pretty well too. I've seen many rich and famous people appreciate his paintings but never did anyone giving him a better platform to showcase his talent.

Those heartless people just appreciate his painting and buy them at low price. None were ready to give him a chance to bring his talent to a bigger platform.

Yiyaa! It truly hurts my heart!

Looking at the array of beautiful and meaningful paintings by Orea and then looking at people admiring them and taking pictures of them but not buying any, I'm itching to throw a curse charm on them and make them suffer a little.

Via and I looked at Orea with a sympathetic look to which he just smiled kindly as if he is not bothered by it and went to explain his paintings to the crowd very enthusiastically.

"If only he accepts my help." I told Via with a sigh.

"Your help? The charms? Let him live happily a little longer." Hey, hey, what do you mean?

My charms are the most miraculous and greatest things in the whole world. And this is not just my take on it but many has said the same to me.

Before I could retort her back and tell her again about the greatness of my charms that has been passed down for centuries now, I noticed customers near my stall so I turned around and started to introduce my charms and tokens to them eagerly.

"I see that you are going to give birth in a few months. Why don't you buy a healthy-child charm?" A young girl about same age as me looked at me with shock and confusion.

"Give birth? You fake! Who said I'm pregnant?" She yelled, looking very offensive.

I studied the girl's face again and again and looked at the aura around her which is only visible to me. This is definitely aura of a pregnant woman.

"It looks like you don't know about your pregnancy. Miss, I suggest you go and consult a doctor. If I'm not wrong, you are about twelve weeks pregnant but due to lack of proper diet, the fetus is getting weaker." As words flowed from my mouth, people started to gather around my stall in great number.

This got me super happy but since the situation is a little tricky here, I toned down my expressions and looked very serious and professional, just like a true seer and sorceress.

"I'm stunned at your thick-skinned behavior. How can you swindle people so openly to this extent? I am not pregnant and I cannot be pregnant." The girl argued loudly, pointing an accusing finger at me with an angry sneer.

Haiye! You can wake up a sleeping lion but cannot wake up a person who is pretending to be a lion.

"Wait, hey, isn't this 'Miss Fairy'?" I heard someone exclaim from the crowd. A middle-aged woman soon walked to the front and looked at me with a smile.

I smiled back with familiarity but for the saint's sake, I cannot really remember her at all.

Yet again, my memory problem triggered. I still wonder how exactly I passed all my subjects and graduated.

I did not even use any charm for it. Truly miraculous!

"Miss Fairy? Who is that? Is she famous?" Asked several from the crowd.

Of course, I am.

"She is a very powerful psychic and the charms she gives are the best I've ever seen." The middle-aged woman boasted loudly as she looked at me with grateful eyes.

"What she said is true and not so true at the same time. Right, Zeph?" Via chuckled mockingly at me and this time, even the kindest person on earth, Oreo, also laughed at me.

"They don't know the true power of your charms." Via whispered and continued to laugh mockingly at me.

Excuse me! I have a separate fan-base and my charms works great.

"Really, she looks so young!" Someone from the crowd doubted. To which, the middle-aged woman shook her head scornfully at that person.

"What do you know. A year ago, one of the properties from my grandfather was stuck in a law-suit. My cousins fought to get that property which legally belongs to me. When the law-suit was working against me, I visited Miss Fairy for help. She gave me a charm and guess what?"

"What?"

"What?" Everyone hovered over her and asked curiously. I folded my hands over my chest and waited patiently for my greatness to be announced publicly.

"Right before the next court hearing, my cousins stumbled upon a diamond mine from of the properties they inherited from my grandpa. Out of happiness, they forgot about the lawsuit and gave up on my property." That's right!

Listen people, hear it carefully. That is my power.

"So powerful!"

"Woah!"

"How great!" Came exclaims one after one from the crowd.

"Don't be so proud. Did you forget, if her cousins won the lawsuit, then that diamond mine would be exchanged with this woman for that property. Technically, this lady lost something more valuable for something less." Via whispered and broke my bubble of happiness.

What a friend I have!

She is too much!

Ignoring her, I clapped my hands to gain everyone's attention. When I had their attention, I grinned at everyone. "Today, thanks to this lady here, I will sell all my charms for twenty percent discount. Also, I shall give a suitable charm for free for one fated person." Applauses followed from the crowd and the whole path before my stall is completely crowed.

"Also, the trinkets and paintings my friends are selling will be on twenty percent discount for everyone here as a token to thank you to everyone." Well, if I am getting rich, I should pull my people also to get rich together with me.

Orea needs this the most right now!

When the crowd hurdled before my stall and started to ask me questions about their future and all, I looked around with a smile as I was talking and selling my charms at blinking speed.

Suddenly, my eyes landed on a passing man who is wearing a work tuxedo, looking very handsome and has aura of a 'good devil' around him.

Wow, what a figure!

Totally my 'lusty' prototype. So enchanting!

"Excuse me, Mister, wait." I ran and caught his arm.

He turned around like a shooting star but to me, it is nothing different from peach-blossoms-petal-shower kind of slow motion.

And when turned around, letting me look at him closer –

Oh my heartstrings of the abyss totem!

Just look at this man!

"What do you think you are doing?" The celestial being asked in a very rude tone which is totally pleasing to my ears, nose, skin... heck, everywhere!

"You – need me." Hope, in several ways!

"What?" He glared and tried to wring his arm out of my hands.

But all these years, growing up, I did not take protein lightly. I have extremely good muscle mass although it doesn't show.

I still blinked at him mesmerized and grinned before repeating my earlier words.

"You are so handsome. So, you need me."

I don't care. Even if he doesn't need me, I'm going to make him need me. That's it.

It's final!

He is prone to need me in the future.

He has to need me and there is no other go.

This handsome man... should need me.
