"Phew, can we be gone without being noticed?" I scanned around and instantly found the figure I'm trying to avoid in the back of the crowd.

Thankfully, there's still a little distance and crowd between us.

I spoke few farewell words with the dean and nudged Owen as I whispered for real-time confirmations.

"Mr. Valen, I think it's not good to go like this." Look at you, a hamster teaching a lion how to roar!

Don't I know if it is good or not?

"I did not promote her Youtube channel, I don't want to. Do you think it is good to get into her hands after not doing what she wanted? What if she gives me some damn charm for – continuous smelly farting, or for festered and smelly feet, or – you get it now?" I don't want to be the creative one to give ideas against myself.

What if she has a way to hear my whispers also?

Nah, my business rival, Lucian Devenport, the CEO of Lumière Global has been on hospital bed for a week now and his health situation just started to take a turn for better from yesterday evening.

And that is also because, as demonic amulet girl said before, the effect and power of the amulet would last for one week in total.

Although, as per promise, the amulet did its work punctually, that one week of effect was a death every minute to villainous Lucian.

It was secretly done, but I saw with my own eyes what Lucian Devenport had to go through.

And for the first time in my life, a leaf called pity sprouted on my tree and that too, it was for my rival who tried to harm me in the first place; not intentionally though!

"But what if you are caught in future?"

"What do you mean 'caught in future'? Am I a criminal on runaway? Do I look – scared of her?" And Owen nodded without any hesitation.

Are you still my own PA and not that demon's PR?

"You will have your bonus cut for this year end." I growled at him and made my move to escape quickly from here before she gets to me.

I am not scared of demon like her.

I just don't want to talk to her and see her challenging the great science with her nonsense.

Thankfully, I moved quickly and got into my car. Owen must've gotten his senses back after the bonus cut so he did his job more efficiently and drove away before catastrophe takes place.

And I was happy!

So happy that my steps skipped all the way to my office because my office and home are private places that people cannot enter without permission.

And I not give her any permission to enter any of the places I'm in.

Say, should I get the staff to make a huge board at the entrance saying 'Zephyra Quinn Virelle and her eternal chaos are not welcomed. Please take a U-turn and find next disaster target'

I'm seriously thinking about this possibility. But then again, will this board be able to stop her?

Never mind! I first need to recover back to my usual invincible personality before I prepare unexpected and unpredictable storms.

I was happy about my plans and ideas but does that mean everything happens according to my thinking?

Definitely not the case where Demonic amulet girl is involved.

Because that evening, I got a call from my elder sister Kaiya. "We are having a family dinner tonight. The restaurant location is shared. Come quickly right away or you will be beaten pink by mom."

That's it!

She said what she wanted to, in a hurried manner, and cut the call without any hesitation after threatening her own sweet brother.

I still don't know who is worse; elder sister or a younger sister.

I immediately winded my work for the day and rushed to the dinner location because my mom can really beat me into pink. It happened before.

I'm almost convinced that I might really be brought to Valen house on some sales offer.

We usually have family dinners with whole family, including Kaiya, her husband and my nephew, once every week.

That is kind of a tradition in the family which we also like it.

And this time, the dinner is arranged in a restaurant that was build on lake with private Thai style pavilions for every seating arrangement.

This restaurant was an instant hit when it was opened for its unique style and experience it gave. Of course, it does not belong to Valens.

Just because we are one of the richest and I am the male lead of this story doesn't mean I own the whole world.

The receptionist immediately recognized me after I entered and led me to my table, which is a pavilion on the lake. We got on a boat and two men rowed us through the throng of pavilions with different name and brought me to a pavilion with the name 'Anemone' with windflowers painted elegantly around the name.

This is an impressively elegant place!

I got off the boat just at the time when I saw another staff member bringing welcome appetizer to the table. I walked in with vigorous steps and found the vacant seat which was reserved for me. Since there are staff members providing menu cards and welcome appetizers to the people around the table blocking my view, with a happy smile, I immediately took my seat and took the menu book handed to me.

I studied the menu and decided on my order before looking up to greet everyone but at that moment, the menu book fell down from my hands and I chocked on my own breath.

Because I saw something unexpected.

I saw Zephyra Demonic Virelle, sitting there beside the smiling tigress – I mean, beside my mom and talking to her very happily.

She is sitting between mom and aunt; aunt as in, my mom's brother's wife. My aunt has a blinding smile on her face as she chatted with the demon but the highlight is my mom's smile.

That is not a smile anymore. Her mouth is stretched so long that it can be used as a highway from New York to London.

Not just the demon but her two friends are also here, sharing the same table as us as they are indulged in their own conversation with the person sitting beside them.

What the hell is happening here?

Why are these three people at my family dinner?

Forget about the other two, why is the demon here?

No, what is going on? I was only being happy just now and why is my whole happiness turned over and burned to ashes.

"What are you doing here?" My words almost came out in a scream.

Isn't this exactly like 'I tried hiding in a cave, and she was already inside, unpacking'?

My voice was loud enough that everyone stopped their chats and looked at me with either raised eyebrows or bewildered glances.

Except one – who looked at me, saying silently with eyes – 'surprise surprise' which I decoded into 'YOU ARE DOOMED'.

It almost gave a chill down my spine.

"Mom, what is she, what they doing here?" I pointed my finger at the three friends and asked.

While I can tolerate Vivia and Orion without a sweat, the problem here is the youngest of their friends' circle; the great demon.

Mom glared at me and gestured secretly towards her footwear which means... you will eat a dessert from my sandals if you continue to be wild.

"Of course, I invited them. Why? Do you have any problem?" Although she asked with a sweet smile, I can detect warning in it.

"Nope, of course, not. What problem can I have? When you are keeping it beside you?" I laughed out, whispering the last statement to myself.

You will know it once you experience it yourself.

Orion was being entertained by my brother-in-law Cyrus and my uncle. Vivia is talking to my maternal cousins Elian, Rian and Inesca.

Everyone in Navarro family and my family are entertained by the three friends and I was left alone wondering and fearing of unknown.

"Hahaha, that is so funny. You really have a fun life." Kaiya expressed as she laughed with everyone else. I looked at the demon with fun life and snorted.

Fun life at the cost of other's life!

"Idris, you won't believe what happened earlier." Mom exclaimed with laughter in her tone. "We all went to pick up these three amazing people for the dinner. When we reached their residence, we happened to see how powerful and miraculous Zephyra is."

Really? You must be using the words 'disastrous' and 'dangerous' I guess!

"Oh? How interesting!" I'm not at all interested to know. Don't tell me anything.

"So, there was couple in their late seventies I assume, Mrs. and Mr. Grant. They were expressing their surprise and happiness about a miracle that Zephyra has made it happen for them."

I will put my head on the execution block without any fear if she truly created a genuine miracle and not a mistake.

Because she has history of creating hundred percent absolute mistakes in giving out amulets.

"Mrs. Old Grant is pregnant in her late seventies! And it happened all thanks to this beautiful and kind girl here."

W-W-W-What did you just say mom?

Pregnant in late seventies?

She must've mistakenly given a pregnancy amulet for a longevity charm!
