Chapter Five

Author's note: this chapter is really just fluffy wholesomeness.

Jordan's P.O.V
Natalie's reaction was priceless. Her eyes got all huge, and her mouth dropped as she stared at us. She was silent for a few seconds, just staring at me and Noah. Then she raised her hand up, gesturing to us. "Wait, let me be sure I have this straight (gay). You two..are soulmates?"

I smirked and nodded, pulling Noah even closer to me. "Yup." Noah turned even redder and covered his face. Natalie's eyes now had a look of understanding as she tilted her head. "Jordan, is that why you were reluctant to tell me in the first place?"

Noah looked up at me before I could answer. "Wait, you told her about us?" I shook my head. "No, she figured it out on her own. On our way back home, Natalie told me about finding her soulmate. Then she realized that I agreed about the test - I said that what she'd described was exactly the soulmate test - so she assumed that I'd gone through the test."

Noah nodded. "I guess that makes sense." Natalie nodded. "Honestly, I should've seen it coming. You two act so lovey dovey, it was obvious you liked each other."

Noah's P.O.V
I glared at Natalie. "We do not act 'lovey dovey' with each other." She raised her eyebrow in disbelief. "Really." She held up her hand and started talking in a high pitched voice, badly imitating Jordan while moving her hand about. "'You know I can't stay mad at you, Noah.' 'Yeah, I know.' Never lie to my face again." I blushed and hid my face in my hands. I heard Jordan snicker, then felt him press a kiss on the top of my head, which only made me blush more.

I looked up at him, and Natalie frowned slightly as she continued staring at us. "Jordan, I need you to understand something, kay?" He nodded. "Alright. What's up?" She walked over to him and grabbed his shirt collar, a serious expression on her face. "Understand this. Noah is my brother, and I love him. If you even think about hurting him, I'll personally chop your head off and make your death look like an accident. Got it?"

Jordan's eyes widened in fear, and he nodded. "G-got it." I smiled slightly as Natalie let go of him. "Don't worry about me, Natalie. I'll be fine." Then I faked a serious face while looking at Natalie. "Remind me to meet your soulmate later, kay?" Natalie blushed and looked down. "Actually, I'm supposed to meet with him tomorrow. We're gonna learn more about each other."

"Really. Okay. But you need to introduce me to him sometime soon." "Don't worry, Noah. I will." She made her way back to her worktable and continued working on her battle axe. I looked up at Jordan. "Hey, we gotta get back to work. Maybe let me go?" He smirked and hugged me tighter. "Ha! No." I sighed and accepted my fate, leaning into his chest. "Whatever, then." He kissed the top of my head again, and I smiled slightly.

Natalie's P.O.V
The next day, I was sitting on top of a hill, staring at the sky. There were only a few more hours until I would go meet Lucas. For some reason, I was beginning to get nervous. Wait, why am I nervous? I'm just going to see my soulmate...the person I'm destined to marry and be with for the rest of my life...it's not a big deal, is it..?

"Natalie?" I snapped out of my thought process and looked over to see my aunt. I smiled slightly. "Hey." She came up and sat next to me. "Now what are you doing up here?" "Just thinking and waiting." "About?" I looked at her again. "Noah didn't tell you?" She tilted her head, then nodded. "Right. You're supposed to meet up with your soulmate tonight."

I nodded. "Yeah. I'm actually pretty nervous." My aunt smiled and hugged me. "Don't worry, sweetie. I'm sure it'll be fine." I smiled slightly. "Heh. Thanks, Aunt Lori." She nodded and pulled away. "So what is your plan for the date, anyway?"

"Well, we're gonna learn more about each other. I only know his name and what he looks like." "Ah. What's he like?" "Well, his name is Lucas. He's pretty tan, has brown hair, and the most beautiful yellow eyes." "Aww, you sound so lovestruck." I blushed and looked away. "W-well-" She smiled and stood up, brushing the dirt off her outfit. "Well, I'm gonna get going. Have fun with your thoughts." With that, Aunt Lori got up and made her way back to the palace.

Hi again! Next chapter's gonna focus on the actual date for Natalie and Lucas. Sorry I've been kinda dead lately. School and writer's block are a wonderful mix for procrastination.
See ya on the flip side!
