Chapter One

Feeling pain starting to ripple through my body, I fall to the ground in pain. "Ahhhh!" I scream. Feeling the pain become more intense, I clutch my stomach. The blood in my body feels like lava erupting out a volcano. Sweat starts trickling down my face. The heat is so intense, I feel as if I was an ant and a magnifying glass was over my body getting light from the sun.

"What's going on?" Ezra asks appearing next to me before I knew it. "Is it the baby? Are you having a miscarriage?" He asks looking worried.

Feeling my blood starting to boil, I try to answer but only start crying out in pain. Feeling my bones starting to burn, I manage to ask, "What's going on? Ezra, what's happening to me?"

As the moon finally stops peaking from behind the thick clouds, I feel my body degree staring to rise even higher. Feeling the need to rip my hair out and claw at my body, I feel pain starting in my teeth and feel them grow. Opening my mouth, I do one thing I never thought I would do, in a million years. I growl.

Feeling my body soon cool, my footing comes back and I start standing up. Looking in my face, Ezra's mouth hangs opens as his eyes are bulged out. As is everyone's.

Looking down at my body, I feel powerful. Strong. As if I'm born anew. Looking to the full moon, I can feel a need to howl come from deep within me. Confusion starts rushing through my body as I think of all the possible scenarios of what just happen. Coming up with none, I look back at Ezra. Scratching my head, I do a small panicking chuckle as I try to think of anything other that what I'm thinking.

Finally finding my words, I ask, "What the hell just happen?"

Ezra looks at me with confusion, and finally says, "No. This can't be. How?"

"How what?" I ask confused myself.

Ezra walks off and starts to pace. "How? How? How?" He continuously asks himself, as each how becomes louder then the last.

Walking to him, I feel everyone staring at me in a weird way. Whispers start to erupt in the air.

"Ezra, what's going on? What just happened to me?"

"Who are your parents?" He asks looking at me with hard eyes.

"I-I-I don't know," I stumble. "I never met them. I was young. I don't remember anything about them."

"How are you a werewolf? What aren't you telling me?" He growls my way, offending me.

The wind blows hard, as if there has been a change in the wind. I scoff.

Shaking my head, I feel slightly disappointed in him. "How do I know you idiot? I don't know who I even am myself! I can't believe you."

LFeeling tears trying to force themselves out, I fight them back. Damn hormones.

"Then how can you be one? What am I missing?"

"When you find out, you let me know. Because I don't even want to be this, this, monster!" I say looking down at myself in discuss. Since I've been accustomed to their lifestyle, the only thing they do is kill to get there own way.

Seeing how Rick, Jake, and everyone else continues to look at me as if I was some kind of freak experiment, I turn around and start to run.

"Irina!" I hear them call after me.

"You're such a dick Ezra," I hear Rick scoff.

Blocking out the continuous screaming of my name, I run like never before. My run becomes stronger, faster, and flawless. I can feel energy coursing through my blood, making me feel as if I could run forever.

"How dare he!" I shout, anger ripping through my skin. "How dare he think I'd lie to him, after all I've done!" Feeling the air become thick, I feel a raindrop fall on my forehead and roll down my face.

Slowing my run, I come to a stop, and allow the rain to cover me whole. Easing to the ground, the clashing sound of thunder collides with my screaming cry.

"I don't want this! I just want to be normal. I don't want this life!" Feeling angry at the world, I scream everyone on Earth, even though they cannot hear me. And then I think about two people, and grow furious.

"Why? Why did you leave me! Why did you have to die on me? Was I to bad as a child? Did you not love me enough? Please, just tell me why you had to get in the car that day and leave me! You two would still be alive if you didn't! I want my parents! Mommy, daddy!" I cry.

Picking up the closes thing to me, I throw a rock as hard as I can. And then a stick. And then a pebble, until I started clawing the dirt with my bare hands. Even as the dirt fills my finger nails, I don't stop.

"I loved you! I'm sure I did! I'm sorry. Just please, please help me!" I cry, as if they would appear at any given moment.

Feeling something sting my neck, my vision becomes blurry. Feeling for what it is, I pull a blue dart out of my neck, and become alert, though it is already to late.

Hearing the bushes to my left rustle, I stand to defend myself, but fall to the ground as my vision starts to blur as my world fades to black.

Ezra's POV

"How could you be so reckless?" Rick says throwing his hands in the air.

"It's not her faults," Jake says as they are both talking at once.

"Alpha, you need to go after her," Jenny screams as she looks at me with scolding eyes.

"Enough!" I shout, forcing them all to stop talking.

Rick looks at me with pity. "Man, what are you doing? What does it matter with who her parents are? What's going on?"

Shaking my head, I rub my hands through my head. "Irina is already special. She can tell when anyone is lying to her, and she isn't able to lie herself. Do you know how bad it would be for anyone to get their hands on her? Now she is a werewolf, therefore, our child will be a pure bred werewolf and if they have powers like Irina, our child could be in even greater trouble when she is born then now. A weapon that anyone can use."

"Oh shit," I hear them whisper under their breaths.

"Not a word of this to anyone outside of this pack! Someone get these dead bodies out of here, and get eyes on Irina. And where the hell is Aiden?"

Irina's POV

Felling my head throb, I hold my head in my hands. "Ow," I wince, sitting up.

Feeling the soft fabric beneath me, I open my eyes to see that I am laying on a Juliet Chesterfield Sofa. Blinking again, I look to see myself in what appears to be a elegant living room with crystal chandeliers brightening the room.

Alert, I stand up and feel woozy. "Whoa," I say stumbling.

"Don't move to fast," I hear a deep voice say. "You got shot by a tranquilizer by a hunter. You were way out of the werewolf's district and was in the hunters."

I was running that fast?

"Who are you?" I shout, looking around to find them.

"We've already met," he says appearing in my face. My names is Aiden."

Hades?

Jumping back, my head starts to spin again, and I take a seat. "Where am I?"

"You're in my home," he says. "I followed you after you took off. I had to make sure you didn't do anything stupid."

"Excuse me?"

"You just tapped into your werewolf abilities, and you could rip anyone into shreds without being in control. So, I followed you to make sure you wouldn't do anything stupid. And, I'm glad I did or else a hunter would have got you. You're welcome."

I scoff. "Well aren't you an asshole just like your brother."

"I beg your pardon? I'm simply telling you, because you need to be aware."

"I'm aware!" I shout.

Aiden sighs. "You need to be taught how to control your werewolf inside, before you kill someone."

"News flash, I just killed someone! This is not how my life was suppose to be. I just wanted a family."

"Well, you got a hell of a lot more," he says. I look at him and roll my eyes. Before I was able to lash out at him, glass shatters everywhere as a booming voice echos through the house.

"Where is she?" A feminine voice shouts.

"Damn it," Aiden sighs.

"What's wrong? Who is that?" I ask looking around, trying to see where the voice is coming from.

"Should I hide you?" Aiden asks himself out loud to me.

"What?" I asked raising and eyebrow.

"Yeah, I'm going to hide you." Aiden picks me up over his shoulder and before I know it, I am upstairs in a bedroom.

"What are you doing? Stop!"

"Be quite, or she will hear you."

"Who?"

"My ex wife." Aiden walks over to what appears to be a wall. He kicks the bottom of it, and the wall stars to open as a door.

A secret wall?

"In you go," he says putting me down. "Now, stay here."

Before I know it, the door starts to close and Aiden is gone. Rushing to the door, I beat on it. Lights start to flicker showing a full room with clothes and shoes neatly put away. I notice a window at the top and smile.

"Where is she!" I hear her shout again.

Looking to the window, I run over to it and look around for things to use as a stepping stool. "Why do I always get into shit with people women I don't even know."
