Chapter 26

Yoongi:

"She isn't picking up!" Yoongi grunts in frustration as they enter the dorms.

"She's probably busy," Hoseok says uncertainly.

"Why would she be ignoring your messages anyway?" Jungkook asks, pulling off his jacket as Seokjin turns the heater on.

"It's... I think she's jealous," Yoongi replies, glaring down at his phone.

"Why is she jealous?" Taehyung asks, placing his jacket next to Jungkook's, standing beside him.

"She saw that girl hugging me, you know, the backup dancer from that girl group,"

"Ahh, that girl. Did she really hug you?" Hoseok asks, joining in, "Wow, she has no boundaries, even after all this time,"

"Why do all the staff fall for you, Yoongi?" Jungkook teases.

"Fuck off," Yoongi snaps, smirking as the younger members giggle, "I don't understand why she's not answering,"

"Maybe she misunderstood. Did you laugh with the girl, or did you act embarrassed in any way?" Namjoon asks, folding his arms. Now, BTS are surrounding Yoongi, except for Jimin. He tries to recall the conversation.

"Well... a staff member told me she was looking for me because I dropped something when I left the stage, so I went looking for her," He frowns, "And she gave me the couple necklace that fell off when we were struggling down the stairs. So I felt embarrassed for her when she gave it to me,"

"Maybe that's it! Were you blushing? Giggling?" Seokjin asks.

Yoongi recalls the conversation:

"Here you go," The girl bowed as she passed Yoongi the necklace. He took it, placing it carefully in his pocket. Suddenly, he realized that the girl he was talking to is the girl that confessed to him at every award ceremony they attended together. He rubbed the back of his head, embarrassed.

"Thank you," He chuckled uncertainly, "This is very important to me,"

"I see," She replied nonchalantly, flicking her hair over her shoulder. She batted her eyelashes, trying to appear prettier.

"You looked really cool out there," She sighed, "I've never seen someone so sexy,"

"Ahh, thank you?" Yoongi chuckled uncertainly.

Suddenly, the girl hugged him around the middle as she sighed with happiness.

"You know, we'd be a better match," She smiled as Yoongi stared at her, dumbfounded. She had never tried to touch him before, so he was very startled.

"I'll head in now. I'll be thinking of you," She giggled, closing the door.

"I was too shocked... I just froze," Yoongi finishes, "But Lilly said that when I have a problem with a guy, I should just talk to her, so why is she ignoring me?"

The other members shrug just as confused as him.

"Yoongi!" Jimin calls out, rushing into the room.

"What's up?" Yoongi asks.

"She's confused,"

"What?"

"She's confused, she doesn't know how to deal with her feelings properly. Just go over there and makeup," Jimin says, smiling happily.

"How do you know this?" Yoongi frowns, glaring down at the phone in Jimin's hand.

"She messaged me because she wasn't sure what to do, just go over there, now!" Jimin demands, passing Yoongi his jacket.

Yoongi continues to glare at the phone, then at Jimin.

For a moment, the members are tense, worried that Yoongi was going to get angry at Jimin. But instead, he takes the jacket and rushes to the door, swinging it open and running out.

Lilly... why did you have to text him instead of me?

. . . . .

Lilly:

Just talk to him! If you don't respond to his messages you'll be the biggest hypocrite in the world!

I chastise myself, looking down at my vibrating phone. But I can't do it. Should I just tell him I need a moment?

It's been about 5 hours since I ran from the awards ceremony. BTS probably arrived home about an hour ago and I have received non-stop calls and messages ever since.

But what am I afraid of? Why am I not picking up the phone?

I consider this for a moment, but I don't have an answer. My brain is screaming: STOP WORRYING AND FIND OUT YOURSELF! But my body is frozen in place.

Should I text Jimin?

At this thought my body unfreezes.

Yes, he'll know what's wrong with me, right?

LILLY: Hey Jimin, how was the after party?

JIMIN: Yah! Yoongi is going crazy here! Why aren't you answering your phone?

LILLY: He hasn't told you guys yet?

JIMIN: Yeah, but you said that ignoring is never an option!

LILLY: I'm not intentionally ignoring him... I'm just scared.

JIMIN: What? Why are you scared?

LILLY: I don't know, I guess I'm scared he'll tell me she's his ex, or that they had a fling after we broke up, or he's cheating on me with her, or he wants to break up because he found someone better, or that he likes hugs from other girls and that she's his friend. What if she's his best friend and she likes him, but he won't stop talking to her because he's known her longer? What do I do Jimin!

JIMIN: Calm down Lilly!

JIMIN: I'm sending him over.

LILLY: What? Why? I messaged you for a reason, Jimin!

JIMIN: Don't worry, it's not what you think, but he needs to talk to you about it, okay?

LILLY: Jimin, please don't!

I bite my lip as a new message from Yoongi appears.

YOONGI: I'm on my way.

"Damn it!" I yell, throwing my phone onto the kitchen bench.

If I keep throwing my phone when I'm upset I'm going to break it. I make a note to get a really good phone protector and rush to the bedroom.

I pull the blankets over my head, crawling into a ball. Even if he comes, I'll be hiding. And if I'm hiding, we can't talk. I won't have to hear anything I don't want to hear.

My eyes spring open as I hear the front door swing open.

"Lilly!" Yoongi calls out. I bite my lip, trying to make myself as small as possible. I hear him open his bedroom door, and his feet shuffling around as he moves through the living areas. Suddenly, he stops.

His footsteps approach the door. I tense, waiting for him to open my bedroom door.

If my ears weren't perked up to full capacity, I wouldn't have heard the door open painfully slowly.

I close my eyes, biting my lip as I hear him gently approach the bed.

"Lilly?" He whispers. I feel a slight poke in my hip.

"Ah!" I gasp before covering my mouth. But it's too late. Not only did he hear me, but he would have seen the covers move when I placed my hand over my mouth.

I feel the bed sink as he sits beside me. I can already sense his cheeky smirk.

"What's wrong, Lilly?" He asks. I close my eyes, trying not to squirm with embarrassment.

I shake my head to indicate I don't want to talk. I hear him sigh.

"Well, I guess I'll just explain what you saw," He begins, "The girl you saw hug me, I don't know her name,"

I open my eyes, frowning.

What does he mean? She was a nameless one-night stand?

STOP THINKING STUPID THINGS!

I squirm, turning away from him.

He pauses for a moment, before continuing.

"This girl, she's a backup dancer for SM I think. She confesses to me at every award show. What you saw was her handing me my necklace. She said I looked sexy on stage and that I'd be a better match with her before hugging me,"

"WHAT?" I sit up, throwing the blanket off me, glaring at him. He is watching me, his eyes alight with humour and a playful smirk on his lips.

"Oh? You are listening?" He chuckles as I fold my arms and legs, pouting.

"What did you say?"

"Hm?"

"What did you say when she said that?" I snap, trying to ignore his giggling.

"I didn't have enough time to say anything," Yoongi leans forward so he can see my eyes, "Are you jealous?"

"Of course I'm jealous! She hugged you and you did nothing!" I yell, clenching my fists. Where is this anger coming from? Relief? Uncertainty? The fact that he's laughing at me?

"Yah," Yoongi's smile vanishes, "I don't like her, okay? She's been trying to ask me out since I debuted. If I liked her, I'd be with her, okay?"

I ignore him, letting out all my thoughts, stuttering and rambling.

"She was very attractive, tiny waist, thin legs, I bet you liked looking at her. I bet she danced sexily too. Do you like being called sexy? Is that something you like?"

"Lilly..." Yoongi murmurs.

"She was so tiny, shorter than me. Do you like short girls? I bet you do. With her long eyelashes and short skirts she's probably an eye full, the perfect girl," I growl before taking a deep breath.

"Are you done?" Yoongi snaps before I can start rambling again. I frown at him.

"Oh? So you can go punching whatever you want when you get jealous, but I can't even vent?" I raise my eyebrows mockingly.

"Are you going to beat her up?" Yoongi smirks.

"Maybe! What are you going to do? Protect her?"

"Wow," Yoongi chuckles, "This sounds familiar,"

"How? How!" I yell as he starts clapping his hands.

"Didn't you tell me to leave Jimin alone? And that this wasn't the responsible thing to do or something?" He chuckles again as I go silent.

As I have become more and angrier, I have been crossing the lines I made for Yoongi. Maybe I'm a hypocrite.

I don't care, I want to kill her!

"I'll... I'll tell her to leave you alone!" I say triumphantly.

"Fine, do that. I hate it when she's constantly annoying me," Yoongi grins, "Are you good now?"

I take a few deep breaths, trying to think of what else I could say, but that's everything. Plus, it's not his fault. If he really was lying and was actually cheating on me with her, he'd hardly let me see her.

This consoles me as I nod.

"Now," He smirks, leaning forward, "Can I cuddle you?"

I bite my lip and nod, shuffling so I am laying on my side facing him. He does the same.

"Why were you hiding under the blanket?" He asks, stifling a giggle.

I frown, glaring at him.

"I wanted to see you, but I didn't want to see you, so I just hid under my blanket," I mumble, pouting. He chuckles, gripping my waist and pulling me closer to him, his arm under his head.

"You know," He murmurs, "You're really cute when you're jealous,"

"Shut up," I snap, shuffling away from him. It does not work.

I gasp as he pulls me into him again, closer this time. I am pressed against his body, his legs twisted around mine, his chest against mine. I try to ignore the tingle from my leg, which is nearest to his groin.

"Are you still jealous?" He whispers, moving his lips closer to mine.

I shake my head, blushing furiously. He chuckles, grabbing my neck and leaning in for a rough kiss. I gasp as he pushes my mouth open, his tongue exploring areas he's never explored before. I become increasingly embarrassed as his hand begins snaking down my body.

"Yoongi," I sigh as he begins trailing kisses down my neck and across my collarbone.

I decide to stop him as his hand grabs my ass, squeezing tightly.

"Yoongi," I gently push him away. He doesn't look upset. He is still smirking darkly, making my lower diaphragm ache. He removes his hand, holding them up in the air as if surrendering.

"Sorry," He grins, "Can I still sleep here?"

I roll my eyes and shake my head, sitting up.

"After that? No way!"

He sits up as well, pouting cutely.

"I promise I won't do it again, please?" He begs, clasping my hand.

I roll my eyes again and sigh, giving in. Plus, after all that excitement I really do want to cuddle him for a long time.

"Fine, but any inappropriate touching and you're sleeping on the floor, okay?"

He giggles, nodding.

"Let me go have a shower. Do you still have clothes here?"

So we begin getting ready for bed. Soon, we are both laying side-by-side, staring up at the ceiling.

"Goodnight, baby," Yoongi murmurs, closing his eyes, turning to cuddle into me.

"Goodnight," I grin as I cuddle into him, pressing my forehead against his.
