Chapter 18

"Yah! Get up! It's the weekend!" I grin as I storm into the spare room Yoongi is sleeping in. He fumbles around clumsily, his eyes barely open as I turn on the light and jump into the bed.

"L-Lilly?" Yoongi mumbles uncertainly. I cuddle into his side, grinning like a kid.

"Get up! We've got to do something fun!" I giggle.

"Huh? Kpop stars work every day of the week. I didn't even realize you get days off," he smirks as I pout.

"You haven't been to Bighit all week, are you really going to skip out on me now?"

"I really do have to go today, though," Yoongi beams, "I haven't taken so many days off ever. Bang PD-nim has been messaging me non-stop. I got to go today," He sits up, looking at the time. It's 7 am.

"Fine," I jump from the bed, still pouting, "Hurry up, I made breakfast,"

"Lilly!" Yoongi yells, making me jump.

"What?"

"It's 7 am! I wanted to sleep in! I only went to bed a few hours ago!" He grunts, whining loudly as he wiggles around on the bed. I scoff, trying not to laugh as I eye his laptop set up on a desk nearby.

"Seriously? Get up! Hurry up!" I leave the room, giggling silently.

5 minutes later Min Yoongi stumbles out of the room, frowning grumpily.

"You know," He grumbles, "Not even my members try to wake me up," I smirk, passing him some cooked food.

"I'm sure one of them has the unfortunate task of making you get up early," I chuckle as I try to eat my breakfast.

We eat in silence. During this silence, Yoongi receives five texts; two from Bang PD, one from Namjoon, one from Seokjin and one from Hoseok, all saying the same thing: Hurry up and get here!

"I think you're running late," I point out as Yoongi finishes his food.

"I'm never late, they're just early," He smirks, heading to the bathroom.

As I finish the dishes, he re-enters, wearing casual clothes and holding a small bag.

"Have a good, relaxing day, Lilly pad," He smirks as he leaves a small kiss on my cheek. I giggle as I watch him head to the door.

"Text me when you're on your way home!" I call out just before he closes the door. I hear a muffled 'Sure' from the other side.

I grin as I begin to prepare for the day.

An hour or so later, after I am showered, dressed, and the house is tidy, I receive a text from the one person I wasn't expecting to text me in the morning.

JIMIN: Good Morning.

I stare at my phone for a moment. Where has he been? It's been over two weeks since I saw him last.

LILLY: Hey, Jimin! Where have you been? Was the holiday good?

I wait for his reply, a little concerned. Our last conversation didn't end well and he just up and vanished. Should I text Namjoon and let him know?

We continue texting:

JIMIN: My holiday was no fun.

LILLY: Why is that?

JIMIN: Because I missed you.

LILLY: Jimin...

JIMIN: Can I come to see you? We should catch up.

LILLY: I don't think now is a good time, Jimin.

JIMIN: Why?

LILLY: I'm busy.

JIMIN: You don't look busy...

My heart stops as a swooping sensation hits my insides as if I just swallowed an ice cube. I look at the kitchen window, the only window I have been keeping open to let the breeze in. I ignore his message for a moment. 5 minutes, 10 minutes pass. No response.

I jump as my phone starts ringing. With shaky hands, I answer it.

"Hello?" I mumble, trying not to stutter.

"It's me," Jimin murmurs. I can already see his cheeky grin I once adored.

"What did you mean by your last message?" I ask, trying to sound stern.

"I can see you," He replies, chuckling.

"Where are you, Jimin?" I ask as I rush over to the window. I spot him. He's standing at the entrance of an alleyway across the road wearing a mask and cap.

"Hello!" He waves, "I'm coming up!"

"Yah!" I yell, but he hangs up.

What should I do?

I really don't want to talk to him right now. It's been complicated recently. Does he know I'm with Yoongi now? I don't remember whether I told him or not. Has anyone been in contact with him?

I bite my lip and begin pacing, waiting for the tell-tale knock on the door.

Even though I am waiting for it, the knock still startles me. I go to the door and open it.

"How have you been, Lilly?" He murmurs as he pulls his mask off. He is smirking secretively. I used to find his little smirk sexy, but now I get chills.

I try to be casual.

"Hey, Jimin," I smile, "What brings you here?"

Jimin raises his eyebrows.

Shiver.

"Aren't you going to let me in?" He chuckles as he pushes on the door.

"Ah, sorry, I've been extra careful lately," I laugh weakly, keeping a firm grip on the door.

"I know," Jimin replies, his expression blank, "I saw the article,"

So... he knows?

"I see," I bite my lip. Jimin pushes again. The door swings open, wrenched from my grip. Jimin doesn't apologize as he begins scanning the room for something.

He must be looking for Yoongi. How long was he waiting out there?

"Sorry," I laugh awkwardly, "It's so early, I haven't cleaned up too much,"

"It's fine," He murmurs, still looking around. Eventually, his eyes fall on me. His eyes are dark and puffy as if he's been brooding for the past 2 weeks.

"So, where did you go?" I ask, trying to sound friendly. I don't know why I'm having such a strong fawn response to him. There is something about his aura, his tense jaw, and his posture which gives me the chills. Am I really not over what happened between us? Am I just being silly?

Maybe I am just paranoid because of everything that has happened recently.

"Nowhere," He replies, "What have you been up to?"

"Just working," I walk over to the kitchen, "Do you want anything to drink?"

"I'm fine thanks," I turn to see him standing on the other side of the kitchen counter, watching me. I quickly make my drink and place it between us.

He watches me for a moment before speaking.

"So, Yoongi, huh?" He murmurs, his lips portraying humour, but the smile doesn't reach his eyes.

"Yeah," I say simply. There is nothing to explain to him.

"Was he here when we spoke last?" He asks, the smile sliding from his lips.

"Yes," I look down at my drink, unable to meet his eyes.

"So, you never planned on giving me a second chance, no matter what I said?"

"I'm sorry, Jimin. That wasn't why he was here... I wasn't..." I peek up at him but immediately regret it. I've never seen him look this angry. I've never seen him glare like this. If looks could kill, I'd be a mutilated corpse.

"So, you just let me feel like that for your own enjoyment?" He asks.

"Yah!" I snap, "I told you I can't be with you. You're the one who kept pushing me," I gasp as Jimin slams his fist on the table again.

"Y-Y-Yah!" I stutter. Suddenly, Jimin stands and walks around the bench so he's standing right in front of me. He turns me around so I'm facing him.

"Why?" He mutters, moving forward. I put my hands up to stop him, but he grabs them and holds my wrists together with one hand behind my back. My wrists dig painfully into the bench.

I begin to panic. Memories come back, and the immediate horror of what's happening leaves me reeling.

I can't move... I can't move!

"Why him?" he asks again, moving closer so he is pressed against me.

I find my voice.

"Jimin, please stop," I beg, trying to look away from him. He ignores me, grabbing my chin and turning my head so I'm facing him.

"It hurts" he whispers as he presses his lips to mine. I squirm, trying to push him off. But he continues to kiss me. Soon he becomes forceful, pushing my lips apart with his and clinging to my neck.

He finally lets me go, breathing heavily, his eyes alight with excitement.

"I love you, Lilly," He whispers. I continue to struggle from his grip.

Why didn't I just message Yoongi? Why didn't I let him know Jimin is here? Should I have messaged Namjoon?

"Jimin, stop it," His grip relaxes a little and I am finally able to pull away from him. I take a few steps away, so he can't reach me.

I try to control my breathing as I wait for Jimin to say something, anything. The silence rings in my ear, like TV static.

After a moment I look up at him. He is looking down at his hands, his eyes watering.

"Lilly..." Jimin murmurs, "What am I to you?" he lifts his head, his eyes downcast and full of unsaid emotion.

What have I done to him?

Did I make him like this whilst I was too busy worrying about myself?

My panic dies down, replaced with bubbling guilt and sadness. Do I even deserve either of them after this?

"I don't know Jimin... I want to be your friend... but can we be friends after all this?"

Before he can respond, he steps forward again. I protest, not ready for another forced kiss or anything similar. But he just pulls me into his embrace, resting his head on my shoulder as tears fall from his eyes. His broad back is shaking as if it's taking all his strength to not sob.

I want to comfort him, I want to rub his back and say it'll get better. I want to tell him I'm sorry. I want to tell him we can try again. But I can't. It would be a lie.

I just allow him to cling to me for dear life as he lets everything out.

"Lilly, I don't want to be friends," Jimin murmurs against my shoulder, "I want to be with you. I want to grow old with you. I can't give you up like this, not yet,"

"Park Jimin, please," I try to pull from his arms, but he just tightens his grip, as if letting me go will be the end of it, "I'm with Yoongi. Min Yoongi is my boyfriend,"

I know I'm being harsh just saying it like this, but I think he needs this. He needs to understand that it's too late.

"Please, stop it," Jimin grimaces.

"We've both made some big mistakes. It's ruined us. We can't be together. I don't love you, Jimin,"

Jimin lifts his head and grabs my shoulders so I am forced to look up at him. He is glaring down at me, his eyes full of anger and desperation.

"You do... you do love me, I know it. You can leave him for me, I know you will, you just need to be reminded why we started seeing each other to begin with," Jimin nods shakily as a few tears fall down his cheeks again. He wipes them away, wiping his eyes with his sleeve as he takes a step back.

"Jimin, don't do this to yourself,"

"I'll come back... tomorrow maybe," he murmurs, ignoring me, "I'll take you out and show you. I'll make your heart flutter again," he turns and heads to the door. I follow him, beseeching.

"Jimin, I don't want to go out... Yoongi will be angry if he finds out. I can't..."

"WHAT ABOUT ME?" Jimin bellows, turning to face me again with his hand on the doorknob.

I stop, waiting to see what he will do.

However, he just lets out a tiny sob as he turns the doorknob and leaves, slamming the door behind him.

I fall to my knees, cradling my sore head.

What do I tell Yoongi? Should I tell him? What if he hurts Jimin?

"What do I do?" I murmur, trying not to cry.

Namjoon...

I pull my phone from my pocket and pull up Namjoon's name.

LILLY: Namjoon, Jimin came here. He's been watching me. He can't seem to let me go. I'm scared, I don't know what he'll do whilst he's like this.

I wait for a moment. Namjoon replies almost instantly.

RM: I'll call him. I'll see if I can talk him out of whatever he's planning.

RM: Are you okay? I told Yoongi and he's on his way.

LILLY: Yah! You told Yoongi!?

RM: Sorry. He doesn't seem angry, just worried.

LILLY: If I get in trouble this is your fault.

RM: You'll be fine. I'll let you know when I find him.

I put my phone down and wait for Yoongi to arrive. As I wait, I massage my chest, trying to force the guilt and fear out of my body.

I'm sorry, Jimin. This was just a lot of unlucky circumstances that lead to us being this way. Please understand.

Move on.

Yoongi arrives earlier than I expected him to. He rushes in and kneels beside me on the floor, right beside the front door.

"Lilly? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Yoongi, I just feel so guilty and so scared," I respond, allowing him to pull me to a standing position.

"Why do you feel guilty?" He asks, frowning down at me.

"I guess, I made him like that," I bite my lip, unsure how to tell Yoongi how I feel without upsetting him.

Yoongi's jaw tightens as he turns around and heads to the kitchen.

"Breakups aren't easy, and you weren't even dating," Yoongi murmurs, "It's not your fault you don't like him,"

"He doesn't believe me, he just kept saying he loves me," I test, seeing how Yoongi will react to this. He ignores me for a moment, turning on the rice cooker and putting the rice in. After a moment, just before I decide to drop the issue, he speaks.

"What did you say to that?" He asks quietly as if the answer to this question will change everything.

"I said I love you, not him," I smile slightly as he turns to face me, his eyes wide.

"You said that to him?" he smirks, very happy with my response.

"Yeah, because it's true," I try not to giggle as I walk up to him. He grins down at me, pulling me into his embrace.

"That's good," He whispers, "nothing else matters, just that," he chuckles as he places a kiss on my forehead. I grin as I begin helping him prepare the food.

Should I tell him Jimin kissed me?

Cheat.

I frown. I have to tell him. Jimin will probably use it against me later anyway.

"Yoongi, just before..." I mumble, getting his attention.

"What happened?" he asks immediately.

"Jimin... he kissed me," I whisper, not looking at him.

Yoongi grabs my wrist, forcing me to look at him. He's staring at me, his eyes angry and upset.

"Did you kiss him back?" he demands, looking down at my lips.

"No. He forced himself on me," I murmur. Suddenly, he lets out a loud sigh, pulling me into his chest.

"Yoongi..." I murmur, trying to look up at him.

"Thank god," he whispers, kissing my head, "I thought you were trying to say you gave him a pity kiss or something,"

"So, you're not mad?" I ask, a little surprised.

"No, I'm mad. I'll kill him the next time I see him," he grins down at me, "But I'm not mad at you,"

"That's good," I murmur, hugging him back as tight as I can.
