☆\\Chapter Twenty-Two
~THIRD PERSON FOR BETTER~ EXPERIENCE
Clyde dashed through the trees keeping his eyes peeled for the house where the Alpha lived. His mixed grey and black wolf was panting and moving as fast as his four legs could carry him. He wasn't going to let Lina die. He knew there was something about her the first time he saw her. She was special just like her grandmother. There was alot she had yet to learn but things take time and one day all will be revealed.
For now, he had to find the Alpha and tell him what was happening. Ofcourse they could easily kill him because he wasn't a member of their pack and that meant he was a trespasser. He had to risk it. For the sake of Lina's grandmother who begged him to watch over her knowing the reasons why.
He met Lina's grandmother one day in a store and she invited him over for dinner. He couldn't resist how sweet she was and as much as he didn't want to get too close to anyone, he went nonetheless. Over time he learned about things he never thought a lady such as herself could know about. She told him everything about her past and how things was for her back then.
Being a lone wolf had never bothered Clyde since he could do as he pleased and go anywhere he wanted without reporting back to anyone. He wasn't only a lone wolf but also a rogue since he wasn't a part of any pack. He stayed to himself and away from other wolves even when they were rogue like him.
Clyde ran faster, getting frustrated that he couldn't see the house after all this time. A pack house is usually located far away from the humans but this one beat them all.
He was getting tired but he couldn't stop and he wasn't planning to.
Meanwhile, Mykel was already on his way to Lina's house. He sensed something was wrong with his mate and his wolf was urging him to get to her as soon as possible. Alongside him was his beta Dezin and his two Zeta's Vinx and Pierre. All four of them kept their eyes peeled for any sign of a rogue wolf who had just entered their territory.
Rogues were dangerous and in many cases they were too wild to control. They were a threat to any pack since they had no weaknesses and could hurt anyone without remorse. Clyde stopped in his tracks as he watched four wolves emerged from the trees. With the aura surrounding him he knew that this was the Alpha.
Clyde knew they could kill him without a second thought so he laid flat on his belly as a sign of submission. He was never the one to bow to anyone but in this case it wasn't about him. Mykel was ready to attack but seeing the wolf infront of him submit, he urged his followers to stand down.
He shifted into his human form along with his beta and zetas. Clyde watched still on his belly before getting up and shifting as well.
"You better have a good excuse for trespassing wolf", Dezin spat at Clyde who put both of his hands up in defense.
"I mean no harm. I'm here on behalf of your Luna", clyde stated quickly as Mykel's body straightened.
"What's wrong with her?", Mykel asked stepping forward, his eyes flashing between black and their original color. He was bracing himself for what Clyde was to say about his mate.
"She's at home but her energy is being drained from a source. I think you already know what that means", Clyde answered as he eyed the Alpha.
Mykel knew what that meant. His mate's energy was being drained and he needed to find the source. But he also knew the only way for someone to drain energy was if the person being targeted had traces of wicthery in their blood. Mykel didn't know what to think because he knew Lina's parents were human and so was she. This goes alot deeper than he thought. This news was just the surface of it all.
"The only people who can drain energy from someone else are witches. We need to find her before it's too late", Clyde said as he looked at the Alpha for his next move.
"There's only one witch in our pack", Mykel said dangerously low. His fists clenched as he thought about how he had taken the witch in, in the first place.
'Listen to me. Our Luna is in danger and we need to save her. Lock the witch up until I get back'
Mykel sent a message through the pack link notifying everyone of what was happening. He nod at Clyde before shifting back into his wolf form. He wanted to see his mate but he couldn't. Once he gets rid of that witch and his Luna is safe, he can spend as much time with her as he wanted.
Samara pressed herself against the wall, feeling the energy of Lina consume her. It was nothing like she'd imagine when her parents told her of how energy was like food and each time you crave it more and more. Her parents taught her the basics of witchcraft and now she was able to draw energy by herself.
Samara knew Lina was special the first time they met. The night Lina's father saved her from the lycan. As a gray witch, she could sense the energy in Lina's blood and she knew it had to be hers. She performed the spell with all her might feeling more powerful as she controlled it.
Her eyes were dark purple as she chanted over and over. The wind was strong, the air was getting colder by the second, the fog was getting thicker and thicker. If only her sister had listened to her and ran away with her, she would've been a part of this too.
There was a loud growl before Samara was tackled to the ground. Her back hit the floor with a loud thud as the wolf towered over her. She scurried away from the creatures she hated so much. Sure they took her in but they were the reason her family died. They attacked her home and killed everyone including children, babies and even the elderly.
Mykel growled at her. He was thankful that the fog was clearing up so he could see everything more clearly.
As an Alpha, he felt like he failed his pack by letting a witch in it. He just thought that she could be good instead of doing evil but he was so damn wrong. She was the reason his Luna was in pain and that was enough to unleash his rage on her.
"If you think you can hurt me, think again. If I die, the spell won't be broken and your Luna will never be saved", Samara laughed as she stood up pressing herself against the wall.
"You will stop that spell!. Or I'll make you", Mykel growled as he took a step further.
His beta and zetas were still in their wolf form ready to attack on their Alpha's command. Clyde examined the witch from head to toe. She was young, maybe around the same age as Lina. Her hair had a orange tint to it and her eyes were a dark shade of purple. To Clyde she seemed a bit familiar but he had to be mistaken. He had never encountered a witch before but there was something about her that he couldn't figure out.
Samara watched them intently trying to figure out her next move. The circle she had drawn was no longer a full circle. During her fall, the symbols had rubbed off and that meant she couldn't do any more spells. As much as she could draw energy from others, she was still too young to cast spells without the help of the circle.
"Why would I do that?. She can die for all I care. She has no meaning to me", Samara retorted angering the Alpha to his last limit.
"Dezin, Vinx, attack her", Mykel ordered before they lunged at Samara who started screaming uncontrollablly.
"Alpha, we can't kill her", Clyde intervened standing directly beside the Alpha. If she dies then the spell cannot be reversed.
"We won't", was Mykel's only response as he watched his beta and zeta rip her clothes to shreds. He knew what his plan was in the back of his mind. If Samara doesn't want to lift the spell willingly, he'll force her to do it.
He'll do anything for his Luna, even if that meant torturing her attacker to their limit.
"Ahhh!", Samara screamed when Dezin went for her ankle biting directly into it. She couldn't take it anymore and finally glanced up at the Alpha.
"I-I'll l-lift the s-pell just please s-stop!", she screamed tears rolling down her cheeks.
Mykel commanded them to stop and they did, retreating back to their Alpha.
Samara clutched her ankle sobbing quietly as she thought about what she had done. If she had never been so greedy for power in the first place this wouldn't have happened. Her mother was right, no peace will come to her because she was outright gullible and doesn't look at the world from two perspectives.
"T-The circle, I-I'll have to r-redraw it", samara's voice cracked as she pointed to the piece of white chalk. Clyde took it up and threw it at her. Mykel watched with a serious face as Samara dragged herself towards the circle and started drawing different symbols here and there.
Mykel hoped he wasn't too late and that Lina was alright. If he was too late and she didn't make it, he might as well die too. He couldn't live without her and he didn't want to even try.
