A week passed, here I am at my apartment, alone and extremely broke. Jin already stayed at the restaurant where she is currently working because it's more convenient and lesser expenses. She didn't want to leave me alone, but I insisted.

If only I wasn't fired from my job! Urghhh... That Kim Sunggyu. But I don't know why I don't actually feel mad at him.

One week, and also no sign of him and his 'Let's start from the beginning' note.

Why am I expecting anyway? I sighed and looked at the classified ads for a job. I've submitted a number of resumes to different agencies already but no one called for an interview yet. Being an undergrad is such a big disadvantage.

I badly need a job. Earlier, my mother called and delivered me a bad news. My father is in the hospital. With worry and sadness, I promised my mom I'll send them money by the end of the week.

And I didn't expect I'd receive another surprising call that day.

"Yes?" I answered my phone, still bewildered about that caller not registered on my phone.

"You need a job?" a man said on the other line.

"Y-yes? Who is this?" I asked politely thinking it would be one a prospective employer.

"This is L."

My brows automatically curled. L? of Infinite? Why would L call me asking me if I need a job?

"Why do you ask?" I asked him.

"We are in need of additional staffs here in Woollim. If you're interested tell me now so I could recommend you."

"Wait. Is this a prank?"
"No"

"Then why are you calling me instead of the HR personnel or what?" I asked. And why L out of all people and how did he know my number?

"Do you need a job or not. Because I have a lot of things to do I'm going to drop this call now," he threatened.

"Wait-... " I extremely need a job. But knowing L is friends with Sungkyu, what if this is just another prank or revenge scheme from him? I remember how he dragged me to audition in their company and how I was humiliated. But how about the note?

"Did Sungkyu asked you to do this?" I asked.

"What are you talking about?" he said on the other line. "I'm just helping you and our company."

I sighed. I need this.

"I'm waiting..." he said on the other line.

I closed my eyes. Come what may. I'll just trust L and Sungkyu's note.

Baysoul's POV

I can't believe I'm here again in front of Woollim building. Only a week ago, I went out of here in tears, humiliated and trampled. But now I'm here again, not by choice but by need.

I talked to the guard what L instructed me to do. So I went to the admin office. Everyone seemed to be so busy. I bowed to everyone passing in front of me. I didn't know what to do, I just stood there, waiting for someone to see me. Until finally one did.

"Who are you?" she asked, while carrying a box of papers.

"I'm Lee Sujeong. I'm here to see Miss Bang Hye Ji-"

"Oh! You are the new staff?" she cut me off.

"Ahm... I-..."

She didn't even let me talk. "Follow me," she commanded. She is around late 20's in my estimate. She led me to a cubicle and dropped the box she's holding and then she looked for files in her desk. I observed her work place and I saw her name, Bang Hye Jin. So she was the one L instructed me to look for!

"Here," she suddenly handed a folder with a Woollim logo in it. "I'm sorry I can't introduce you to everyone right now. As you can see everyone is busy and we're short of staffs. For the meantime, please read that. That's the company policy, code of secrecy, and even the employee rights and obligations, and... etc. Please just read it then," she handed me again another folder. "Fill up this form for your personal information and, I'll be back for your orientation. Then we'll do the contract signing. I really hope you could start this day," she just said and continued running around.

I slowly walked and sat at the employee lounge.

Wait-

Am I hired? Just that?

Really?

I finished reading everything within an hour and still, no one seems to notice me there. Everyone is so busy with something I-have-no-idea-of. I understand that I must wait so I waited for another hour until Miss Hye Jin came back for me.

"Finished?" she asked.

I nodded. "Yes ma'am," I responded politely.

"Don't call me ma'am. Just call me Hye Jin eonni," she smiled. Somehow, I felt at ease to find nice people around. "So did you read the code of secrecy? That is very important," she continued.

"Yes ma-... I mean, eonni," I replied shyly.

"Good. The most important part of the code, do not tell, or sell any information you'll be learning here at Woollim specially anything about Infinite. Clear?"

"Yes. I understand."

"Here is the contract. Read it first before signing," she said.

I did what she instructed me. And we did the signing.

I don't know what or who's behind all of this...

But whether this is a dream or not,

What's important is, I'm now a staff of Woollim Entertainment.

I joined the other hyped up staff as we roam around and do some work. Now I know why everyone is so busy. Everyone is preparing for Infinite's comeback! No wonder I haven't see them around. I heard from the other staff that they're currently shooting a music video for their new song. I wished I was one of the other staffs who are at the venue. I want to see how the shoot the MV!

But for now, I'm one of those in charge of the admin.

"Sujeong, please photocopy this!" Hyejin eonni requested.

"Yes!" I said and went to her aid. Since, I'm only a new employee, I do limited and simple jobs.

It's been three days since I'm working at Woollim. Still, I haven't seen any of the Infinite members around. I just did my job accordingly. And today, my task is to sort and check fan gifts. After sorting fan gifts, my job is to carry them to the van that will transfer them to Infinite's dorm.

I was carrying a huge doll and a box as I went to the parking lot to put it in the van when a black van stopped in front of me.

I was surprised when I saw Infinite members going out of the van one by one. The others rushed inside the building.

Sungkyu... I muttered when I saw him going out of the front seat.

He must have noticed me, because he looked at me. Blankly.

I remembered the note he left previously at my house, 'Let's begin from the start'

I felt shy but I still gave him a smile. "Hi!" I greeted softly. But he just looked at me and then walked his way to the entrance, like he didn't know me.

Why is he being snobbish?

I walked lifelessly to the van where I was supposed to go. What's wrong? Did I do something wrong? What is his problem?

Then someone called me.

"Babysoul?" I looked back with hope.

But it was Hoya rushing to where Im standing. He held my face and moved his face close to my face till we only have like 3 inches!

"It's really you!" he exclaimed excitedly. "I'm sorry if I had to do that. You know I have a poor eye sight. So, what are you doing here? Is that mine?" he pointed at the bear I'm holding. Then he noticed my ID. "You're already working here!? I'm glad!" he exclaimed.

"Yes," I smiled and nodded. Then I suddenly thought, is he the one who recommended me here? Is it really L? or is it Sunggyu? But why would he do that when he is being a snob. And L? Though he is the one who called me, we don't have any connections or we're not as close as I am with the others. I can't even remember any conversation I had we him if there is. So maybe it's Hoya?

"I'm so happy! We'll be seeing each other often then," he continued.

"Ye," I answered as I bow to him.

"You don't have to bow to me. We're friends right?" he said smiling widely.

"Ahmm... You are still my boss," I answered politely.

"Come on. Drop the formalities!" he said then we heard someone calling.

"Yah!Howon-ah! Hurry up!" It's Sungkyu. It seems he came back from the building.

"Hey! I gotta go. See you around!" he said then pinched my cheek. I was left there bewildered.

This place is really getting weird, Sungkyu being so snobbish, and Hoya being so chatty.

Weird. Really weird.

I just stood there and I heard Hoya told Sungkyu that I'm working at the company.

And I can't believe what Sungkyu replied.

"Babysoul who?"

I felt bad, and cheated. Why is he being like that?

So what he meant with that note is, we're going to begin like we never knew each other?
