Chapter 3
Time pasted. Soon, I had been the test subject of at least five tests. Every one scared me. One day, I was in my cage, trying to sleep when I heard the scientists talking about the final test. It would be permanent. I only had one test which was permanent. It only gave me super athletic abilities. I never could get out of the lab though.
I made my cage rock gently. This always calmed me. I saw the rats scampering about. They were looking for food. The scientists only gave me an almost rotten apple and a cup of water every day. They wanted me alive, but not strong enough to fight. I heard a loud squeak. I looked up at one of the cages. It was the one with a cover over it. A blue liquid was coming out of it. More chills. This whole place gave me the chills.
"Who's there?" I asked. A boy came out from behind the cage.
"I'm here. My father is soon going to rule the world, so please be nice," he said.
"No he's not," I said. The boy disappeared. I figured it must of been a test. I heard scientists talking outside. I then knew it was a test.
"She'll be good for making sure our invention is safe," said the man who usually dragged me around. My heart was beating super hard. I might die! I then threw up, making sure it was outside my cage. I held my stomach.
"Too many rotten apples," I mumbled. The door opened. I looked up and that mean man had my rope. He led me out into the hallway. All the scientists seemed excited. They smiled at me evilly, which scared me. The man led me into the testing room. I put my hands on my heart. It was pounding-hard. The man tied me to a pole. It was cold. The other scientists walked about, impatiently.
I closed my eyes. My life was over! I would never see my parents or my friends again. "Goodbye world," I whispered quietly.
"What did you just say?" asked the man.
"I just said my goodbye to the world," I told him quietly.
"Oh, you're not going. You're going to be our super powered servant forever!" exclaimed the man. My heart dropped. That would be even worse.
"Don't scare her too badly," said a scientist. The man chuckled. "She needs to be ready to take this power into her body," said the same scientist. I was sweating now. Nothing would ever be good again after this. I tried to hold back tears, but my eyes watered.
Soon, the test was about to begin. They had a giant machine with a pipe that would shoot something at me. The scientists pressed a button. The machine slowly came to life. "Fire!" yelled the man. A scientist pressed another button. A turquoise beam came out of the pipe and hit my chest and made the roped disappear. I fell to the ground. I heard police sirens as I lost all consciousness.
