Kavya's POV

'What happened? Why are you so happy?' Tarun asked as soon as he opened the door.

"We are happy after listening to their love story,' Tanisha said as we entered the house.

'They told you their love story?' Tarun asked as he closed the door.

'Yes,' we said in unison as we sat on the sofa and Tanisha narrated him the story.

'Wow! They teach us not to think about society when it comes to love,' he said.

'Yes. I loved their story so much,' I said.

'So, what should we have for dinner today?' Tanisha asked.

'We can think about dinner later. Now it's only 7 p.m. I was thinking of going to a theatre and watching a movie together,' Tarun said.

The word 'theatre' reminded me of the horror movie we watched.

The movie where I had scratched Kabir's hand but he didn't even complain.

'Yes. Let's go. It had been years since I had gone to watch a movie due to work pressure,' Tanisha said.

'Kavya, what do you want to watch?' Tanisha asked.

'Anything is fine,' I said as my mood became off after remembering yesterday's events.

'Are you okay?' Tarun asked.

'Yes. I am okay. So, what are we watching?' I changed the subject.

'I heard some romantic film has been released few days back. Let's watch it,' Tanisha said.

'Okay,' Tarun said and took out his mobile.

'You are right. A romantic movie has been released. Where is the nearest theatre here?' Tarun asked as he showed the mobile to Tanisha.

'This! Let's book 8 p.m. show. It will take us twenty minutes to go there,' Tanisha said as they booked the ticket and Tanisha took me in her room to get ready.

'What happened, Kavya? You are quiet for so many hours. I felt that you didnt enjoy the movie,' Tarun said as we came out of the theatre.

'Your mood is off due to Handsome, right?' Tanisha asked.

'It's nothing like that. I enjoyed the movie,' I lied.

'We know that you are lying but we will leave it,' Tanisha said.

'Let's go to eat something. It's almost 11 p.m.' Tarun said as we sat in the car.

'Let's go to have burger,' Tanisha said.

'Okay. Kavya, you will have burger, right?' Tarun asked.

'Yes. I will have it,' I said as he started the car.

I was not feeling like having anything but still agreed to go with them.

'Kavya, Handsome is calling me again,' Tanisha panicked as she saw Kabir's name on the screen.

'Should I tell him you are here? Maybe he wants to sort things out with you?' Tanisha said as she sat on the sofa.

'No,' I shouted as I locked the door and sat beside Tanisha.

Tarun went and bought a water bottle from the kitchen and joined us.

'Pick the call and put the phone on speaker,' Tarun said and Tanisha did it.

'Hello, Handsome,' she greeted.

'Princess, Tarun is also not in Mumbai. I think they have gone together,' he said.

'What? How do you know Tarun is not there?' Tanisha asked.

'I called one of Raj's teacher and lied to her that Sakshi's notebook is with Raj and Sakshi must be worried so Raj wants to call her and tell her about it,' he said.

I asked for a pen from Tarun and Tarun gave it to me in a second.

'Which teacher was that?' I wrote on my palm and showed it to Tanisha.

'What? Which teacher is that who gave you the number so easily without even checking?' Tanisha asked indirectly.

'I forgot the name. My mind is not in right place now. I called Sakshi's mom and asked her to give the mobile to Sakshi and asked her few questions and finally she told me that her uncle is not at home. Princess, they are together,' he seemed frustrated.

'How can teacher know number of Sakshi?' I wrote on my palm and showed it to Tanisha and Tanisha asked him.

'I don't know, princess. Raj was saying something about dance event in which teacher wrote down phone number of girls who participated in that dance event,' he said.

Dance event?

Ah! That event which happened few months back.

'Leave all that, they are together,' he said, almost shouted.

'Her mobile is switched off. She is with him,' he continued.

'If he is not there, it doesn't mean he is with Kavya, right? Maybe Tarun went somewhere else,' Tanisha said.

'What if they are together, princess? I will go crazy,' he almost cried.

'Why it is bothering you so much?' Tanisha asked.

'I don't know, princess. I don't know what I should do. It's not even twenty-four hours since she has gone and I am missing her so much, princess. I had hurt her a lot and as you said, I should let her move on but I can't do that. I want her with me, not with anybody else,' he said softly.

'As what?' Tanisha asked.

'As my friend,' he replied.

'But she loves you, Handsome. She wants to be your life partner, not your friend,' she said.

'You don't have to explain anything to him,' I wrote on my palm and showed it to Tanisha but she shrugged it off.

'And, now also you think that you consider her as your friend?' Tanisha asked but he was silent.

'You consider me your friend, right?' she asked.

'Yes,' he replied.

'But, you don't go crazy when I don't pick up my call. You don't even call me for days. You don't go crazy when you see me with anybody else,' she said.

'Are you trying to say that I also love her?' he asked.

'Think about it for some time and then call me and answer me,' she said and cut the call.

'God! The whole atmosphere got intense,' Tarun said.

'But it's good. Somebody should make him realize that he loves Kavya,' Tarun continued.

'I don't know what to say to both of you,' I said.

I was surpried that he lied and did so much to know about Tarun.

Tanisha's mobile rang and Kabir was calling her.

She picked up the call and put the mobile on speaker.

'Princess, what is love?' he asked and Tanisha looked at me and Tarun.

'Love is what you have towards Raj,' Tanisha said.

'But I don't love Raj. I care for him, I can give my life for him but I don't love him,' he said and Tarun sighed.

'He is stupid,' Tanisha mouthed at us.

'Handsome, that is love. You love Raj,' she said.

'But, love only destroys people. I don't want to love Raj. I don't want to love anybody. Love destroys,' his voice broke and Tanisha looked at me.

'But, you can't just say that you don't want to love and run away from emotions. Love will find you like it has done now. The things you do for people around you, for me, for Raj, for Kavya is love, handsome. Maybe you can give it the name of care but feeling you feel for everybody around you, specially Kavya is love,' she tried to make him understand.

'So I love Raj?' he asked.

'Yes. But, you name it as 'care.'

'What if love destroys me, princess? I don't want to love,' he seemed tired so I took the mobile from her hand and cut the call.

'Why are you making him understand things which he don't want to understand?' I asked her.

'Because he seems lost,' Tarun replied instead of Tanisha.

'Yes. Tarun is right. He loves you but he is scared to even utter that word. He said that he cares for Raj, Raj for whom he can do anything, can you imagine how much he is scared of love?' she asked but before I could say something her mobile rang and Kabir was again calling her.

She picked up the call and put it on speaker.

'The call got cut,' he said.

'Yes,' she replied while looking at me.

'So, I love Kavya?' he asked.

'So, I don't want her as my special friend but as my lover?' he continued.

'What do you think?' Tanisha asked.

'I don't know. I don't understand all these new emotions but today I am lost, princess. Today I asked myself, what if she never comes back and that thought killed me. Now I am under her building looking at her house,' he said and I gasped making Tanisha and Tarun look at me.

'What? You are under her building. It's almost 12 a.m. Go to your house,' Tanisha said.

'I am missing her, princess. I think, I will die if I don't see her. I have never felt like this. These past days, due to my problems I have hurt her a lot. She always tried to understand me but in return I always yelled at her. When she confessed her love to me, I questioned her feelings for her husband which is the worst thing I did but still she didn't cut me off completely. Now I think, she has cut me off completely,' he said and I realized tears were rolling down my eyes.

'So you love her?' she asked.

'I just want her to be happy with me, I want to do something stupid if I see her talking with any other man. I want to give her everything she wants. And, I always want her by my side. I don't want to be apart from her, not even for a second,' he said.

'But I don't believe in love. There's no such thing as love,' he continued and Tanisha pulled her hair in frustration.

'You don't love her, right? Then let her be with Tarun,' Tanisha said angrily and there was silence on the other side.

'No. I can't let her go. I am ready to fight my demons for her,' he said after few seconds.

'What?'

'Yes. Fighting my demons will be easy than staying apart from her. I don't want to feel the uneasiness and feeling of someone ripping my heart out which I am feeling right now without seeing her for past few hours. I will die, if I will never be able to see her again or talk to her again,' he said and Tanisha looked at me shockingly.

'You love her that much that you are feeling like dying if you don't see her forever?' she asked.

'I can't even imagine not seeing her for a day, and you are talking about not seeing her forever? I am feeling this for the first time. I don't know the name of this feeling but now, you told me it's love,' he said and Tanisha facepalmed herself.

'Yes, Handsome. It is love. Think about Raj. What if you never see him again?' she asked.

'Princess, why are you asking me all this. I can't even imagine my life without Raj or without my closed ones,' he said.

'So, that is not 'care.' That is what people call love, Handsome. You love everyone around you and specially Raj and Kavya,' she explained.

'So you love Kavya?' she asked again.

'Yes. I love kavya,' he said and Tanisha looked at me happily.

'But I dont know where to go and find her.' he said.

'Let's see tomorrow. Go to your house and sleep otherwise I will not help you,' she said.

'Okay. I will go now,' he said after few seconds.

'Yes. Drive carefully,' she said.

'We will find Kavya, right? She forgive me, right?' he asked and again Kavya looked at me.

'Yes, Handsome.'

'I just want to meet her and hug her tightly and beg for her forgiveness,' he said.

'She will forgive you. Now, don't think much and go and sleep,' she said and cut the call.

'So?' Tanisha asked.

'What? You guys will not talk about the phone conversation, specially you, Tanisha,' I said.

'Why? Are you not happy that he loves you?' Tanisha asked.

'I don't know but one thing I know is that I want to live the next few days without thinking about all this.'

'Even if he dies there?' Tanisha asked angrily.

'Tanisha, calm down,' Tarun said.

'I know that he is close to your heart but---

'It's nothing like that,' Tanisha cut me off.

'But understand me also, Tanisha. These past few days were very hard on me. So, right now I am not in a right mind to even accept his feelings. Give me some time,' I said.

'Okay. I understood. I am sorry. I should have thought about you too. Let's enjoy next few days. I will message him tomorrow morning, that I have to go to an urgent office tour and there will be no range there so I will not be able to talk,' she said.

'What if next few days also he sits under my building?' I asked.

'I will message him that if he wants me to help him find you out then he has to promise me that everyday he will go to his house, have a dinner and sleep soundly. I am sure he will listen to me if he wants me to help him.'

'I am glad that he realized that he loves you,' Tarun said making me smile.

Tanisha had fallen asleep but I am not able to sleep.

He loves me .

He is ready to fight his demons for me.

If someone asked me how I felt, I don't know.

I was surprised, but other than that I didnt realize how to feel. His confession came so suddenly that I didn't realize what to feel.

Am I happy?

Yes. I am happy but I am scared too.

Next time I will meet him, his feelings would have changed but what about everything that went wrong between us?

Will I able to fix it?

Will he able to fix it?

Will we able to fix everything that went wrong?

Those accusations he put on me regarding Sohum after he came to know that I love him, the fights, rules between us which I made, the kiss and how things got worst after kiss.

How can we forget everything and move on?

But, one thing I know is,

Even if everything got messed up,

I still love Kabir.

And, I am happy that he loves me and is ready to fight his demons.

But, just because he confessed that he loves me, everything he said about me and everything that happened between us will not automatically go away from my mind.

I need time and space.

From tomorrow, I will not talk about him. I came here to be at peace so I should find that first.

And, I am happy that Tanisha realized my feelings and will not call him for next few days.
