Kavya's POV

'You ruined everything, Kavya.'

You can't fall in love with me.For me, you are just my good friend. And, now you ruined that also.'

'How can you love me?

When did you started loving me, Kavya?

What about your husband? Don't you love him anymore?'

'You don't have to come from tommorow to teach Raj,'

His words were continuously roaming in my ears.

'You don't have to come from tommorow to teach Raj.'

He tossed me out of his life so easily. He tossed me like I never mattered to him.

I wiped my tears but it was not stopping.

What about your husband? Don't you love him anymore?'

And it took a second for him to doubt my love for Sohum.

How can he decide if I love Sohum or stopped loving him?

He ruined everything. Instead of calmly talking with me, he put accusations on me that I don't love my husband anymore and he threw me out of his life in a second.

He even forgot the beautiful moments we shared as friends.

My mobile rang and I saw Tanisha calling me.

'Hello,' I greeted her.

'Are you okay?' she asked.

'Did you talk with him?'

'Yes. But, I didn't listen anything he said as I wanted to talk with you first. How are you feeling right now?' she asked.

'Dirty,' I replied.

'What? Dirty?' she asked.

'I just wanted him to sit and listen but he threw me out of his life like a piece of dirt. He put accusation on me that I don't love my husband anymore. After replaying his words hundred times in my head, I realized that he made me feel so dirty.' I put out my feelings.

'Tell me what he said. Tell me everything. Let it out, please,' she pleaded and I took a deep breathe and told her everything.

'I will kill him. He is stupid but...

'But, what?'

'But, maybe, he asked you that you don't love your husband anymore because as you told me earlier that you told him that you only love Sohum and you can't give your heart to anybody else as you gave it to Sohum,' she said what I shared with her earlier.

'I can understand, Tanisha. But the way in which tone he said it, it seemed like he was accusing me. I just wanted him to calm down and sit and talk with me.'

'You know he forgets everything when he is angry, right? Otherwise you have thousands of reasons which made you fall in love with him, right?' she asked.

'You can cut the call if you want to defend him.'

'I am not defending him, Kavya. I am just showing you his perspective.'

'You don't have to show me his perspective. He showed me his perspective an hour back.'

'There is a reason that he doesnt believe in love and marriage. I don't know the reason but he has issues. You know it more than me, right? Again, I am not defending handsome, I am just saying.'

'Tanisha, then he should have calm down and told me that he doesn't love me instead of saying all those things.'

'He is stupid. Even a blind person can see that he is madly in love with you, Kavya.'

'That I saw an hour back. You know, after he left, I cried a lot thinking I ruined our friendship but as the words were repeatedly playing in my head, I realized that his words ruined our friendship. I didn't ruin anything,' I told her.

I don't know what happened but now I have anger towards him and tears are also not falling anymore.

'Now, that's like my good girl. I am proud of you. Now don't cry but make him cry,' she said and I chuckled.

'I don't want to make him cry. I don't want anything with him. The best part is when he realized that I love him, he suddenly remembered my husband and my love for him. It seemed as if he is accusing me of cheating my husband who has died.'

'He didn't even think that much, Kavya. I know him. When he is angry, he doesn't think before speaking,' she tried to make me understand.

'I know that. I have faced his angers many time, but, this time he crossed all the lines,' I said, almost shouted.

'You should look at him when he was saying those words. It seemed that he is a different person,' I continued after calming myself down.

Something triggered in him when he heard the word 'Love.'

He always says that he doesn't believe in love and marriage but I didn't think that it triggers him so much but after hearing that word, he changed in a flash but what was my fault in it?

'I know that, Tanisha. Anyways, I will sleep now. Tomorrow I have to go to school.'

'You seemed changed person. I thought you will cry the whole day so I quickly called you,' she said.

'Thank you for calling me and listening to me. Other than you, I can't share my feelings with anybody. And about me changing suddenly, I was crying continuously ten minutes back. But as his words were repeating in my head, I realized how he made me feel and
suddenly the tears stopped.' I told her.

'And, please don't tell anything to him otherwise I will not share anything with you,' I continued.

'I will not tell anything. Can I ask you one question.'

'What?'

'Do you still love him?'

'Yes, I still love him. It is my heart, not a machine that if I switched the button off, the love I have for him will stop. It will take some time to move on from all the beautiful memories he gave me. He threw me out of his life in a second, but I am not him.'

'Kavya, he will also not be able to move on so easily. He just said it in a whim of a moment. I gurantee that he will come back. And, I am not defending him. I am just saying what I feel,' she clarified.

'I understand that, Tanisha. You are his friend first so I don't mind,' I said.

'But still I listened to your side of the story first because as soon as he opened his mouth, I knew he messed up everything,' she said and I smiled sadly.

'You know, Sohum and me never fought in our eight years of marriage, and whenever I used to fight with Kabir, I used to cry or be upset  and today also it was the same until suddenly anger took over all my feelings,' I told her.

'And I had always said that, with Kabir, I discovered new versions of me and this version of mine surprised me. That girl who never talked back with her parents, who always put her husband's feeling and likes above her, now just want to go and slap Kabir. I was never like this, Tanisha.'

'Maybe you always had that fire in you but you always put water on it but now you are just letting it burn. And, frankly, if something gets okay between you and handsome and you give me the permission to share this conversation with Handsome, I will thank him for bringing out this side of yours,' she said.

'Our friendship is over. We will never meet each other again,' I said.

'Fate will decide that. Now, I have to call Handsome and ask how is he. Can I request you one thing,' she asked.

'What?'

'If he comes to meet you, please listen to him,' she said.

'Goodnight.' I didn't say anything to her previous statement.

'Goodnight. If I get time I will call you tomorrow, otherwise we can talk on message and consider what I requested,' she said and cut the call.

I went in the bedroom and laid on the bed.

I hope his heart heals. I hope his past will not haunt him. I hope he fights and wins from whatever thing is bothering him.

Even though I am angry at him but whatever days I was with him, he made me happy and showed me different version of me.

I hope there will be a woman for him whom he loves and he is ready to fight with his demons for her.

Tomorrow, I will call and ask the guards who are standing below my building to not work anymore as I have no relationship with Kabir.

I will not say anything to the auto driver, Neeraj Bhaiya as I will be paying him.

But, with security guards the case was different. Kabir decided to pay them as I will never, in my life, earn so much to hire two security guards.

I don't know why I said 'yes' to it. I guess, I was too scared and now also I am scared but I don't want to take his help.

I know what Tanisha said is right, as always, his anger took over him but it still hurts me.

I closed my eyes and prayed god that his words should not haunt me anymore.

I had stopped crying but his words are still echoing in my ears.

It was 7 a.m. and I didn't even close my eyes for a second. I don't know how I will take classes today without an ounce of sleep.

I woke up and decided to get ready and prepare breakfast and for lunch, I will take the leftover Biriyani.

'Are you okay? You seem dull,' Aashika asked me as soon as I opened my tiffin.

'Nothing. I am fine,' I said as I opened my lunch box.

'By the way, how is your student, whose house you go to teach?

'He is fine. He will be joining from Monday.'

'Great. Thank god, you handled it well,' she said and I just smiled as I remembered the way I way I was thrown out from the job.

I came home and sat on the sofa. I told that from today he doesn't have to drop me at Kabir's house anymore.

It felt wierd. It had become a routine to take a rest and then go to his house so I don't know what should I do today.

But, I shook away all my thoughts, freshened up and decided to take rest even though I know as soon as I lay on the bed, his words will haunt me.

By the time I prepared roti with aloo curry, it was 9 p.m. I looked down to see two people standing far away from the building.

I locked my house and walked towards the elevator. I decided to talk with them.

'Hi! I am Kavya. I wanted to talk to you,' I said.

'So you are madam whose house we are protecting?' one of them asked and I nodded.

'I am Uttam.'

'And, I am Vinay.' They greeted me and I looked around and hoped nobody watches me while talking to them otherwise they will have their own interpretation.

'Thanks for doing your work wholeheartedly but I don't need security guard anymore. Please, you don't have to come from tomorrow,' I told them.

'Why, madam? Did we do something wrong?' Uttam asked.

'Sir will kill us if we do something wrong. Did we not do our job in a good manner? Did someone came to your house under our eyes and harmed you?' Vinay asked numerous question.

'Your house got robbed again? Did you call us and we didn't pick up? Sir asked us to pick him and your call everytime, even if we are in the washrrom,' Uttam said.

'No. You didn't do anything wrong. By the way how much is  sir giving you monthly?' I asked.

'Fifteen thousand each,' I said.

'That means thirty thousand a month? My salary is also not thirty thousand.

'I will give you the money for the few days you worked here and you can leave. I am so sorry. It's not your fault. It's my fault. You did nothing wrong. Both of you were great. I will recommend your names, if someone around me needs security guards.' I was feeling so guilty.

'So, how much should I pay you?' 

'We will call and tell you. You can send the money online,' they said and left hurriedly.

They didn't left but almost ran away from me.

Weird.
