Swara's POV

I was amused seeing Sanskar's expression at the shouting going on in background, he is simply enjoying the show. Chachi is scolding Ragini to came in nightdress and also not wake up till now. I couldn't help but feel happy at Ragini's face. She never was scold before and live like a queen.

Chachaji and Papaji came breakfast table ignoring looking at Ragini's clothes.

"Ragini, go and come back soon. Are you think us your maid? You can't sleep till this late" bhabhi said.

"Why are you standing till now. GO" Chachi yelled, Ragini run back to her room with a sad face. I wonder what happened to Karan, her boyfriend. After that, it was very silent. Adarsh Bhai already left early for a meeting. I look at Sanskar eating my handmade food.

"Sujata, your bahu made food without doing first rasoi puja what-"

"No Chachi, I helped bhabhi. She did already" Uttara said in between. I noticed mummiji smile at Chachi with a smirk...this family sure is strange. Ragini came after getting ready. Her face is showing her off mood. She sat and about to serve when Chachi again yelled.

"RAGINI! can't you see every bahu is standing for everyone to finished eating? Then only you all will eat" Ragini stands up awkwardly. Laksh came and sit. He glares at me and I try to ignore his continued stare.

"Laksh you should watch your wife, not mine. She is your bhabhi now. Chachaji, why don't you teach your son some manners" Sanskar said, I'm a little surprised hearing him. I didn't know he noticed my getting uncomfortable. Uttara gave me a look and I try to control my blush.

"See how bhai is standing up for you" I remember her words sometimes ago when Chachi was raising her voice as I said Ragini couldn't cook.

"How dare you Bhai. She was my fiancee"

"Laksh! She is your bhabhi. Stop talking nonsense" chachaji scold Laksh, he left food and ignore Chachi's calling...left home. I noticed Sanskar smirk happily and something same was with mummiji too.

What's wrong with this family? They sure aren't looking loving joint family. Sometimes it's really hard to see the truth behind closed doors.

After everyone left we eat. Ragini was glaring at me as if I did something wrong when she was the one who didn't wake up.

"Ragini swara said you can't cook. Is it right?"Ragini glare at me while I look away.."no mummiji, I can cook also. It's just she never tasted, she doesn't even stay at home much. How will she knows?" I didn't answer them and finished my breakfast quickly.

"You'll make today's lunch. I'll taste your cooking" Ragini nodes but I can see her getting tensed. Uttara looks at me while I just shrugged. Pari bhabhi was feeding Dhara. Soon I joined Uttara in room after breakfast.

"Bhabhi are you sure Ragini bhabhi doesn't know cook?" I nodes.."she never cooked before. Mom also didn't let her" I mumble, I remember how mom wanted me to learn all that but when it's time for Ragini, she once said no and that's end of the discussion.

"Bhabhi I always noticed your mom always pampered Ragini too much. Why is that? And why she didn't believe you?" Hearing her I feel sad, it was always a sour topic. She might notice my sad mood and was about to say something when Dhara came running with book.

"Bua study with me" she runs in Uttara's arm and I smile. Seeing a cute baby like her always good.."today your Chachi help you" she giggled and forward her hand towards me. I pick her and kiss her cheeks. After her study, she was playing with toys.

"Mom always loved Ragini's father. Because of our different religions Shekhar uncle's family wasn't ready. Then they married different people and after my father died mom came back home as my dad's family doesn't want us there. Here mom came to know how Janvi aunty died. Their love was always there and then this time everyone agreed. I think to make uncle happy she loves Ragini this much" I whispered last part.

"But it was wrong. She shouldn't forget, in the end, you're her daughter" I shrugged smiling, I'm kind of used to it now.

"What's wrong here? I thought you all are a joint family but-" Uttara laugh hearing me.

"Not everything that seems good outside is really good. You can say it was just a facade to hide the ugly truth" her words held an unknown pain..."you know it's good that you didn't marry laksh bhai, he wasn't like he seems" I look at her shocked.

"What you mean?" Before she could say we hear chachi's voice calling mummiji. We came downstairs, I carry Dhara.

"See Ragini made all this" I didn't know how soon lunchtime came. I'm shocked to see all types of food. Uttara looks at me questionfully, I shake my head confused. Uttara slowly left from there don't know where!

"See Swara, you should learn something from your sister" I didn't say anything. Mummiji makes faces hearing Chachi then we all sit for lunch.

"Where is Uttara?" Mummiji asked looking at me before I could say anything Uttara came with packet and placed it on table. Paribhabhi takes it and glares at Ragini..."mummiji, see it's all food from outside" Chachi looks at everything shock and takes the bill was there too.

"What is it Ragini?" Chachi yelled. Ragini looks down..is it wrong that I love Uttara for what she did just now.

"Now Jiji, who should learn from whom. My son marries a Bengali bahu but she wakes up, cooked but your Marwari babu is fooling you" mummiji said. I try to control my smile badly, Uttara wink at me.

"Bhabhi even throw all this outside to hide" Uttara said.

"I'm sorry maji, I didn't know how to cook" Ragini finally accepted.

"You don't know? Is it a joke? You're already 21. Our Uttara also knows every type of cooking" mummiji added.

"Ragini don't come in front of me today." Chachi left angrily and humiliated. Pari bhabi

"Mom...I'm going with our both bhabhi's for phagphere" Uttara said, hearing it I feel sad. Seeing mom would remind me of everything she said. Didn't she already say I was no longer her daughter?

"I'll go alone" Ragini interferes.

"Oye chori, it wasn't your mayka. We'll decide everything and who are you to deny my daughter if she wants to go or not. She'll join you both" mummiji glare at Ragini and left.

"Mom will be your side soon" Uttara whispered, I smile but noticing Ragini's glare I looked away.

"Ragini, when you're going home asked your ma, dadi to teach you some cooking" taunting Pari bhabhi left taking Dhara.

"Will Sanskar come to take me?" I asked when we came out ready.."of course Bhai will come. We should just wait that if Laksh bhai didn't come" I giggled hearing Uttara. Ragini was walking in front, she glares at me turning. Then we trio sit on car.

Coming to badi, I'm feeling extremely awkward. People are staring and going to same house from where I was thrown making me more awkward.

"Swaru" I heard the sound and smile seeing my Dida there standing with bag. Ragini ignore us and left while I run to dida and hug her tightly. Finally the emotions I hide came out and I cried hugging her.

I really missed her.
