Chapter Four

Tony got out of hospital a few days later, he was told to rest and take it easy but knowing the Tony Stark, that's exactly what he didn't do. At first he tried fiddling with a few machine holograms but nothing seemed to work.
Morgan started first grade a week later and Tony couldn't be more proud, Pepper was at work everyday from 8AM-5PM so that meant that Tony was left home alone all day. He sometimes liked it but other times he felt lonely, when Pepper was away on business Morgan was left with one of Pepper's close friends because the doctor's advised him to rest and having a young child that's the opposite of what he'd be doing.
But because of this Tony had more time alone to think, which wasn't always a good thing.
He made his way towards the kitchen where he found a fridge full of food but no alcohol, Pepper had hidden it from him, he cursed under his breath then slammed the door shut. He used the counters to guide him to the sink where he got himself a glass of water and a bit emotional. He looked up at a shelf to the right of the sink where he found a picture of him and Peter. If you asked him what happened he'd probably say he didn't see the photo and left the kitchen but that's exactly what didn't happen, he stared at it for a while before stumbling over to the couch and just sat there, lifeless. When Pepper finally came home with Morgan she sent the cheerful young girl up the stairs and sat next to the depressed Tony Stark.
"Tony?" She asked stroking his hair.
He said nothing and just kept staring at the fireplace, he wanted to tell her but he couldn't bring himself to find the words.
He just nodded.
"Are you ok?" She asked, in reply Tony just nodded again.
"Morgan probably needs help with homework or something" He said then stood up and made his way outside.
"Tony!" Pepper called out to him, "You're not supposed to go outside without an aid!"
He just waved her off and just kept walking.
"You're so stubborn!" She shouted at him before closing the door and going to check on Morgan.
Tony sat by the lake outside the house, looking at it helped him forget Peter was ever gone, that's when it hit Tony.
Peter Parker is dead.
He began sobbing he didn't realise until now that this will last forever, he's gone, Peter is gone.
Tony was left in shock, he couldn't comprehend the fact that the kid was dead, in some ways it felt like his kid was dead. Tony normally thought of Peter as his son, he was proud of him, he wished he could tell him.
But Peter Parker is gone.
