Third Person P.O.V.

After arriving back to the mansion, (Y/N) was treated by Ella who was shocked and worried at her injuries. Thankfully, they were mild and she did not have to be taken to a hospital. (Y/N) lied stating she got into a fight with some thugs and Mr. Tanaka gave her a scolding. She was forced to stay in her bed and she spent that time drawing in her journal. She also was visited by Sonic and he would lay beside her while she drew. She was thankful for his company as they sat in silence. (Awww, so sweet. ☺️)

It has been two days since the attack and now Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese, and Sonic finish explaining to Chris, Chuck and (Y/N) of how they ended up in their world in the room above Chuck's lab. "So this Chaos Control created a warp in time and space, and that's how you guys ended up here. Hmm, I think I understand that much. But I still don't understand these Chaos Emeralds you guys are talking about." Chris summarizes. "You've never heard of the Chaos Emeralds? Boy, you really do have a lot to learn, don't ya?" Tails says.

"Each Chaos Emerald is filled with a magical power. So you can imagine what would happen if you found all seven of them." Amy explains. "But no one has ever found all seven emeralds, and now, it's highly improbable that anyone ever will find them." Chuck says, halting typing on his computer as he joins the conversation. "Why is that?" Cream asks. "Well, you see, Cream, every one of the precious Chaos Emeralds has disappeared." Chuck answers with a solemn expression. "That doesn't mean they're gone for good." Sonic speaks up.

Everyone looks at him, "Any time the seven Chaos Emeralds come together in one place, they scatter and disappear all over again." He explains. (Y/N) holds a hand to her chin as she thinks, "It must be some kind of safety measure. All that power could be dangerous. Especially in the hands of one certain doctor." She adds. "Exactly." Sonic agrees. "Then that means they're still out there somewhere." Chris concludes. "That's right." Sonic gives him a thumbs up. "Only, we don't have any way of knowing where. If they're on this planet, that's good, but if they're still on the planet we came from, we may never get home." Tails says.

"Listen, if the emeralds are somewhere on this planet, and if we can find some way to locate them all, maybe we'll be able to reverse that time warp. You guys will be back on your home planet before you know it. Right, Sonic?" Chris says with confidence. "Yeah, no worries." Sonic agrees with him.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I stand up after sitting on Chuck's bed, "Well, until we find one of them, Chris, you've gotta get to school." I state. "Ah! I forgot!" He runs off to get his stuff. I look at the others and bend down to be at eye-level with them, "As for the rest of you, stay out of sight. Especially you, Sonic." I give Sonic a narrow look. He close his eyes and waves his hand, "Yeah, yeah." This guy... is he really the same one that kept me company for two days? "Sonic, be polite." Amy scolds him then looks at me, "Don't worry, we'll be careful." She says with a smile. I give her one back then stand up. "I'll be in my room. Later." I leave.

As soon as I enter my room, I close my door and fall face first onto my bed. "Uuuugggghhh...." I groan into my pillow. I turn around and lay on my back. I can't stop thinking about what happened during the fight on the rooftop. I mean, strange things have happened since I was little. Like that one time when some jerk was bullying me and a fire hydrant suddenly shot out water and he was sent flying. That was weird. Also why I was homeschooled. That and I have trouble making and keeping friends. But... I hold up my hands and look at them. "Just what was that?" I ask myself.

I jump as I heard knocking then sit up and look to see Sonic on my balcony. I calm down and get off my bed, opening the door and he walks in. "So, come to take a nap before going for a run?" I ask him. He turns around and looks up at me, "I just want to say that you have to be more careful." He says. I tilt my head, "What?" I ask. He cross his arms as he looks to the side, "Eggman can be dangerous when he wants to be. So leave the hero work to me." He looks up at me with a serious frown, "It might not be just some scratches next time." He says. (Huh. He sounds concerned. And worried...)

He sounds concerned... for me? Wait, is he calling me weak? I place my hands on my hips as I raise a brow at him, "Hey, I handle myself just fine. And besides, I ain't standing aside while some mad inventor trashes my home." I state. Sonic blinks and his jaw drops, "I'm not saying you're weak." "But you were implying it." I turn away from him and cross my arms. "Hmmm." I hear him grumble then hear ruffling. I look to see him stand on my bed and be somewhat at eye-level with me. "All I'm saying is to be careful. Besides, I don't doubt your strength, I heard from Amy how you saved her." He says, smiling.

I relax and turn my body to face him. I think about telling him about my bursts of power, but maybe I shouldn't until I know for sure what's going on. Don't want him to worry more about me. Though, it feels nice that cares about me. I sigh, "Alright." I agree. "Great!" He jumps off my bed then walks to my balcony. "I'm gonna catch some Z's. Later." He says, jumping off the railings. (That was quick.)

I sit on my bed and look at my hands. If I can figure out this power, if I really have any, I could be of more help. "Ugh, I need some fresh air." I stand up and grab my journal, may as well get some more drawings done.

Chris's P.O.V.

I wish I could be helping the others with finding the Chaos Emeralds. But I have to deal with school. I wish it would be over already, I want to help. "Chris, you think they'll ever catch that hedgehog?" I hear my friend, Frances, ask. "Huh? Uh, I don't know." I answer. At least I hope not. "Children, may I have your attention?" The principal says, I look to see a tall man with glass standing next to him. "I'd like to make a brief announcement to you all. Your teacher Miss Westerly will be taking a leave of absence. Therefore, she will not be with you for the remainder of the semester."

She's not? "Please say hello to Mr. Stewart who will be your substitute." He says. "Hello, children." Mr. Stewart says. "Hello, Mister Stewart." We all say. I go back to reading my book, "He looks nice, doesn't he, Chris?" I hear Frances say. But I don't answer.

After class, the bell rings and I grab my backpack as I leave the classroom. I wait in the hallway to wait for Danny, my other friend. "Danny, come on! Hurry up!" I call out for him. "Okay, I'll be there in a minute." I sigh, it will be more than a minute with him. "Christopher Thorndyke?" Huh? I turn around to see Mr. Stewart. "The principle told me your name, and, we'll, I was wondering if you were the same Christopher Thorndyke whose father is the CEO of Starship Software company, Nelson Thorndyke, and whose mother is the famous film actress, Lindsey Fair." Well, my parents are well known. (This guy knows them well. Suspicious~)

"Yeah, that's me." I answer. "Well, I must say, Christopher, it's a privilege to meet the son of such distinguished parents." He says leaning towards me a little. "Thanks, that's very nice of you to say." I respond politely. "Good meeting you, Christopher." He lends out a hand. I shake it, "Good to meet you too." I tell him. "By the way, this might sound strange, but do you have a favorite animal?" He asks. That is strange, but no harm in answering it. "Uh, well, um... hedgehogs, I guess." I answer. He makes a noise, "Is that weird?" I ask. "No, not at all." He says. I smile, he does seem nice. (A little too nice. 🤔)

"Hey, Chris?" "Huh?" I hear Danny and look to see him appear. "Sorry, let's go." He says. "It was nice talking to you, Mr. Stewart. See ya." I say then run off with Danny.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"18... 19... 20." I place my knees on the ground. I pant a little after doing a little workout, just finished doing some push-ups. I grab my journal and open to continue my drawing, it is of Knuckles. I wonder how he's doing? "Gah!" I shout and drop my journal, clutching my head. "What is this?" This feeling... it's more intense than usual. I feel my head ache and I fall onto my back, threading my fingers into my head. "Stop... Please. Too much." I whisper. "(Y/N)!" It stops.

I pant as I calm down and open my eyes to see Sonic, Cream and Cheese looking down at me. "Are you okay, (Y/N)?" Cream asks. I remove my fingers from my hair and sit up, feeling Sonic's hand on my back, "Uh, yeah. Just a headache." I answer. I glance at Sonic to find him looking at me with worry. "There's a Chaos Emerald in the city." I look at Cream. "What? Really?" I ask. She nods her head, "It's at some place with a lot of dirt and building." She answers. I stand up, "Well, we best get moving and get it." I state. "Way ahead of you." Sonic says, then runs off. (And he's off.)

Cream, Cheese and I run to Chuck's garage and tell him, Tails and Amy about a Chaos Emerald in the city. Tails got the Tornado ready while Amy sat in the back seat. "Be careful. Don't get hurt, Tails." Cream says. "Don't worry, Cream. we'll be okay." Tails tells her. "I hope Sonic knows where's he's going. If he gets lost, we won't know where to look for him." Amy says. "Don't worry about Sonic. If anyone can find the Chaos Emerald, he can." Tails says confidently. "Good luck, and be sure to keep your eyes out for Sonic." Chuck tells them. "And don't forget about Eggman. By now, he has to be on his way to get that emerald." I add. "I certainly hope they can find that emerald." I hear Chuck say.

Once the plane took off, I run to my bike and get on it. I put on my helmet, "(Y/N), where are you going?" I look at Chuck. I get on my back, "I left my scooter back in city, this is the best I can do." I inform him. "But, (Y/N), you could still be hurt and what if another headache happens?" "Chao." I look down at Cream and Cheese to see them with scared faces. I get off my bike, kneel down and pat their heads, "It's alright. I'm not going to let a little pain stop me. I promise I'll be back." I tell them with a smile.

I get back on my bike but feel a hand on my shoulder and see it is Chuck, "Be safe." He tells me. I give him a smile, "I will, Gramps." I put on my goggles then pedal off. (Off she goes.)

Sonic's P.O.V.

I run throughout the city. Boy, it is bigger than I thought. "The place is around her somewhere. Bet I could see it easier with a bird's-eye view." I jump and grab onto a red pole with bars sticking out of it. I stand at the top and look at the city. Huh, nice view. "I'll just chill out up here and wait for Tails and Amy." I think about (Y/N). She would definitely be trying to search for that emerald. (She is. 🙂)

I move to sit on the pole while I wait then the Tornado appears. "It's about time. You think they could fly that thing a little faster." I jump onto my feet. Maybe I should talk to Tails about making some upgrades. "Hey, Sonic, it's over there!" Amy shouts and points in a direction. "Chaos Emerald, here I come!" I jump and slide down the pole then parkour down the buildings. I run across the streets but then I hear screaming. I run up a building the stop and look down to see a huge crowd of people running. "What's going on here?" I look to the right and see something flying in the air and gets closer. And that's not the Tornado. "So, Dr. Egghead thinks he can nab that Chaos Emerald before me." We, game on.

I run and across the roofs to where the emerald is. I jump off a building, but Eggman's bird jet slams into me. I look to see it come in for another hit. Uh-oh. I get hit again. "Ooh! Oh! Oh! Ah! Whoa!" And bounces me like a ball. Hey! "Look, Sonic, the ring! I'll throw it to you." I hear Amy. I bounce a few more times, "Catch!" I look to see it and I reach to grab it, but it miss. "Who-Aaah!!!" I scream as I fall. (There he go.)

Third Person P.O.V.

Tails and Amy go to help Sonic, but Dr. Eggman chuckles, "Now that our speedy, little friend is out of the way, let's get back to our original plan, shall we?" He laughs as he lowers his Egg Carrier to the construction sight. He lands near a blue sheet then gets out removes it. He digs through the dirt until he finds the Green Chaos Emerald. Eggman chuckles as he reaches to take it, but another hand swipes it before he could grab it. (*YOINK*) "Aah! Give that back to me!" He orders.

Chris holds the emerald in his hand, "I can't believe it. I found the Chaos Emerald." He says in disbelief. The gem shines as he stares at it in awe. Eggman stands behind him and taps his head, distracting Chris so that he can take the emerald. "Hey, that's mine!" Chris exclaims. "Sorry. Not anymore. Besides, my dear boy, you'd hardly know what to do with such a thing." Eggman mocks him as he hops into his carrier. "But I found it first!" Chris argues and tries to get on the carrier. "Buzz off, kid!" Eggman shouts as he tries to get him off.

(Y/N) arrives and sees them. "Chris?!? Gah, scold later. Help now!" She tells herself, getting off her bike and sprinting to them. "But it's mine!" "Let go of me, pipsqueak!" As Chris and Eggman struggle for the emerald, (Y/N) sneaks onto the carrier right as Eggman shoves Chris off of him and takes off. However, Chris grabs onto the red pole sticking out of the bottom and holds on tightly. The two hang on as Eggman flies the carrier higher and higher.

Meanwhile, Sonic is still being played by Beakon. "Hey! Oh! Knock it off!" He shouts. He then gets launched away he spins around trying to stop. "Sonic!" He looks to see the Tornado fly at him with Amy holding a power ring. Tails maneuvers to be right beside Sonic as Amy gives it to him and the blue hedgehog takes it into his hand. He grips it tightly and it shines brightly as he harnesses its power. He dives down at Beaken then does his spin dash as he goes straight through the jet-base robot. It sparks and malfunctions then explodes in a blaze. (Bye-Bye, Beakon. Caw, Caw!)

Sonic lands on the ground but hears screaming and looks up. "Aah! Help! Somebody help!" He looks to see Eggman flying off but with Chris hanging on for his life. "It's Chris." Sonic runs after them. Tails flies the Tornado to chase after Eggman. "We're coming, Chris!" "Chris, hold on!" Amy and Tails shout. (They haven't seen (Y/N). She is sneaky~ 🥷🏻)

Eggman opens his hand to look at the Chaos Emerlad, he chuckles as he smirks in victory. But it drops as he feels a tap on his shoulder, "Huh, who would- Duh!" He shouts as a fist met his face. (Oh!) He holds a hand to his nose, "Who dares-" "You already used that. Now, GIVE ME THAT EMERALD!" (Y/N) jumps at him and he yelps. He tries to hold her back but (Y/N) slips out of his grasp and reaches for the emerald. However, he keeps it away from her by holding his hand out and keep the emerald from her. "Not a chance! I found it and finder's keepers." Eggman states, wrapping his another arm around (Y/N).

She tries to wiggle out of his grasp and even attempts to elbow him in the face. But while the two are dealing with each other, Chris climbs onto the carrier. He looks at the hand Eggman holds out and goes to reach him it for it, but Eggman notices him and briefly lets go of (Y/N) to tilt the carrier. The two exclaim as they tip a little and try and hold on. Eggman chuckles the makes a sharp tilt and Chris screams as he falls back, but reaches out and grabs Eggman's mustache. (Oh, got the 'stache.) The doctor screams in pain as he pulls back. "I won't let go! Give me back that emerald!" Chris shouts. Eggman let go of the controls and the carrier shakes like crazy while he tries to get Chris to let him go. Unaware of (Y/N) making a quick swipe.

"You grubby, little beast! Let go of my mustache!" Eggman demands. Chris loses his grip and falls. "CHRIS!!" (Y/N) shouts and jumps off the carrier, diving after Chris. (No hesitation.) Eggman stabilizes the carrier and smooth out his mustache, "That caterwauling brat and helmet girl certainly are handfuls." He says, but then looks at his hands and scream, "My emerald!" He shouts.

Chris screams as he sees the ground getting closer. "Chris!" He looks and sees (Y/N) holds out her hands to him, one of them holding the Chaos Emerald. She makes it to him and holds him close, they close their eyes as they fall together.

On the ground, in a car, Mr. Stewart sees them fall and presses a button that opens the sunroof and inflated the backseats like an airbag. He looks at a screen to see where they will fall, "I'll save them." He states then presses the gas and drives faster.

(Y/N) holds Chris close as they are about to hit the ground, but in that moment the Chaos Emerald glows brightly and their descent slows down a little. Mr. Stewart sees it and his eyes widen a little at the strange event, but hears a whoosh and gasps as he sees Sonic pass him. Sonic jumps and catches (Y/N) and Chris. He lands on the ground and the emerald dims down, (Y/N) opens her eyes and looks to see Sonic holding her close and securely. She keeps her hold on Chris as Sonic runs off.

Mr. Stewart stop the car and sighs in relief at Chris and (Y/N) being saved. "Well, it's good to know someone else is looking out for the kid." He says with a smile. "Speaking of looking out for kids, I better get back to school." He adds, turning around to head back to the school. (Maybe he is not that bad.)

Sonic makes it back to Chuck's lab along with Tails and Amy. They all gather in Chuck's room as they look at the Chaos Emerald shining in (Y/N)'s hands. "Now that we have one, we just need six more." Cream says. "That's right, Cream." Amy confirms. "I'm not certain we should keep it here. After all, it might have an effect on my equipment." Chuck voices. "No problem. If anything goes wrong with them, I'll fix them for ya." Tails tells him. "All right, it's a deal." Chuck agrees with a smile. "Okay, Grandpa." Tails smiles back. (So cute. ☺️)

(Y/N) looks at the emerald and feels a connection with it. She blinks and shakes her head to snap out of it. She notice Chris walking over or Sonic who sits next to a window. "Um, Sonic? Im sorry." Chris apologizes. "What are you sorry for?" Sonic asks him. "Well, for... for losing..." Chris stutters. "Got it back, didn't ya? That's all that matters." Sonic counters. Chris looks at him then blinks as a hand is placed on his head. He looks back to see (Y/N) give him a smile, "If you hadn't distracted Eggman, I wouldn't have been able to swipe it from him." She says.

She then flicks his forehead, "Ow!" He yelps. "But that doesn't mean what you did didn't give me a heart attack. You must be more careful." She scolds him. (She said she would do it later. It's later.) Chris nurses his head. "I think he did a great job." Sonic says as he gives Chris a thumbs up. This made the boy smile a she looks at Sonic. "Uh, I... I did?" He asks. (Y/N) gives him a smile then grabs his hand places the Chaos Emerald in it, "In the end, yes. Yes, you did." She tells him. Chuck walks over as he gives a proud look to them, "I say that you both did. And I have to say, (Y/N), punching Eggman is pretty great." Chuck says.

Sonic laughs, "Yeah. That's hilarious." The rest of the group laugh. "Well, what can I say? He has a very punchable face." She responds. Sonic chuckles, "Now that's the truth." He says. (Y/N) smiles at him the walks over and pets Sonic's head. The hedgehog looks at her, but does not stop the petting, "But you did save us. Thanks." She says with a soft smile. Sonic gives her one back and close his eyes from her touch, "It was no problem." He responds. (Cuuuuute!) Chris smiles at the interaction then holds up the Chaos Emerald to look at it, feeling pride in himself for the first time. One down, six to go.
