(Okay, so sorry for the wait. But here it is, the next chapter! Also, to the beach! 🏖️)

Third Person P.O.V.

"The new Emerald Coast Resort sounds like the perfect place to get away from it all. You can hang out at the beach, or float on the crystal clear ocean all day long, then dine as you watch a spectacular sunset. It sounds absolutely romantic. I wish we were going to the opening party." Amy gushes as she is excited for the trip the group are taking.

Chris is helping pass the supplies to Cream as she loads them in the Tornado X while Tails checks over the jet and Sonic is laying on some crates, not really excited about the trip. "We'll have fun at the Thorndyke's villa. Are you ready to go, Cheese?" Cream says. "Chao, Chao!" Cheese cheers. "I'm ready too, guys. My flight plan will take us right to the Emerald Coast." Tails says. "Be careful, Tails, and try not to let anyone see you." Chris tells him. "They won't have a problem as long as they stay on the grounds of the villa." Chuck informs.

Sonic snores as he naps. "I wish I could hang out with them instead of going to the resort opening." Chris complains. "Well, too bad, little bro." Sonic snorts awake and looks over only to freeze a little at seeing (Y/N) appear. She has her hair down while wearing a straw sun hat and has white sundress over her swimsuit while walking in (F/C) sandals as she carry a bag of supplies. (Girl is ready for the sun. ☀️) She takes off her sunglasses as she walks over to the others. "But hey, I'll have fun for the both of us." She teases, giving a boop on Chris's nose. "Hey." Chris complains, but has a smile and boops her back. Chuck smiles at the interaction then addresses Chris, "I know you want to have fun with the others, but your mother can't make it, so she needs you to go in her place." He informs.

"You won't have to stay long, and after, you can join the others at the villa." He states. "That's great." Chris says. He looks over at Sonic, the blue hedgehog closing his eyes as he pretends to be asleep. "I can give you a swimming lesson, Sonic." Chris says. "You guys go on without me. I'm gonna stay right here." Sonic replies. "Huh?" The others, but (Y/N), look at him in confusion. "Sonic, you mean you're not coming with us?" Amy marches over and gives Sonic a pointed look. "That's right." Sonic jumps off the crates. "Have fun, I gotta run." He dashes off and away.

"That's weird. I wonder why Sonic doesn't want to go to the Emerald Coast with us." Chris says in a bummed tone. (Y/N) rolls her eyes, "It's because he can't swim, given that I saved him from our pool." She announces, moving over to get in the Tornado X, "Cream, you can sit in my lap during the flight." She informs. "Oh, okay, (Y/N)." Cream says then moves into the seat in front as (Y/N) settles her stuff in the back and sits down. "Yeah, Sonic always hated water." Amy informs, sad that Sonic is not coming on the trip. "He won't go near the ocean at all." She explains.

"But Sonic doesn't have to swim. He could go running on the beach." Tails informs. "It's not gonna be as much fun without Sonic." Amy argues, looking off to where Sonic has run off. "Oh, please." The others look to find (Y/N) with Cream on her lap, "If Sonic wants to be a scaredy hog then let him. This is a beach day, for crying out loud!" She exclaims. (She has a point. 😎) "Chao!" Cheese cheers, holding his arms up as he smiles. Chris smiles from her energy but a car horn is made, looking to see it is Mr. Tanaka and Ella in the car waiting for him. "Mr. Chris, we have to leave now or you'll be late for the ceremony." Ella announces. "Have a great time, Chris." Chuck tells him with a smile. Chris nods his head, "We'll meet up later." He tells the others.

Okay. Don't be long." Amy tells him back. "See you there." Tails waves at him. "Chao, Chao, Chao." Cheese says as he now sits on Cream's lap. "And don't be nervous, Chris. That opening party will be just fine." Amy says confidently. "Uh, yeah." Chris stutters, laying nervously as he scratches his head. "Alright, no more delay. I want to get this beach day started!" (Y/N) states, pointing ahead with eagerness. (Yes, ma'am!)

With that, Amy got in and Tails readies Tornado X. Chuck presses a button and it moves the palm trees on the roadway to move away from it and rest on the ground. "Next stop, Emerald Coast. Hang on." Tails informs. (Y/N) wraps her arms around Cream securely right as the Tornado speeds off. "Here we go!" Tails exclaims, lifting off. "Beach day, here we come!" (Y/N) declares.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

Finally. A day to relax and soak up sun. We made it no problem to the villa and we all got to having fun. I set down a towel and placed an umbrella to provide some shade. It's been a while since I wore a swimsuit and this one pice black with (F/C) galaxy texture is just too cool not to wear.

"Aaaah~" I lay on my back after applying sunscreen. I hear laughter and sit up to find the others having fun in the water. Tails splashes Cream and Cheese with his own fluffy tails-Man, that is weird to say because his name is also his tails- Whatever! I lay back down and enjoy some peace. It's been hectic for a while and this beach day is exactly what we need. I hear fireworks and sit up, "Fireworks in the day? They're made for night." I comment. (Right?)

"(Y/N), (Y/N)!" I look to find Cream running up to me. "What is it, bun?" I ask. "Want to help me and Cheese make a sand castle?" "Chao?" They ask. I smile, "Okay, let's get building." I state, standing up. "Yay!" Oh, they are just too cute. I gather up water in a bucket and walk over to where Cream and Cheese are making a castle. Cheese finishes digging a moat and I pour the water in it. Man, I can't even remember how long it's been since we had a beach day. Chris was so eager and cute.

"Oh, seashells!" I blink and focus as Cream stands up. "We need seashells to decorate the castle." She says. I smile and nod my head, "Alright." I stand up. "Cheese, you're in charge of the castle. Do not let it fall." I tell him. "Chao!" Cheese holds his hand to his head in a salute. So cute. "Come on, come on!" Cream runs off. "Wait up!" I laugh and follow after her. (This is precious~ 🥰)

We split up but Cream promised to stay on the grounds. I walk along the beach and soon find a cute pink shell with a swirl. "Cute." I bend down and pick it up. "Whoa!" Only for something to almost hit me. I fall back on my butt and look to find it skim across the water before flying into the- "Wait?" I move to be on my knees and squint to see anything, but it sinks into the water. "Huh?" I tilt my head. (What that? 🤨)

"Oh, my gosh!" Amy appears, "I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there, (Y/N)." She apologizes. "Whoa, no harm done. Though, what did that thing do to you?" I ask her. "Oh. Well..." She looks away from me and holds her hands behind her back. "Just a little frustrated that Sonic isn't here." She answers. "Hmm." I cross my legs, "Amy, Sonic not coming is his choice. And loss." I smirk. "I know." She kicks the sand. I know she has a crush on Sonic, but is she really going to be bummed out all day because he's not here?

But then there is some laughing and we look over to see, "Oh, shoot, people!" I gasp, standing up. "Come on, Ames, let's go." I tell her. "Sonic, where are you?!?" WHAT IS SHE-? I grab her and cover her mouth. "Amy! Quiet!" I whisper yell at her. (Shush! 🤫) She muffle and I hear a sorry. I let her go, but feel the shell, "Oh! Cream and Cheese. I gotta go, Amy. Stay hidden." I tell her then run off. I know Amy likes Sonic, but I worry it may be making her a little... obsessed. (You have no idea. 😮‍💨)

Amy's P.O.V.

I sigh heavily. Why is that Sonic does not come here with us? With me? We could have so much fun. Hmph! He can be so stubborn. I walk while looking at the ground. "Chad, I made something for you." "Huh?" Oh, right. People. I move to hide behind a rock. "For me?" "Yes, it's nothing really, but I want you to have it." It's a couple sitting together. "It's a lucky charm for when you go in the water. It's just like mine." The woman holds out a bracelet with pink shells on it. "Thank you. I always wear it and think of you."

Wait a minute, Sonic hates water but with that charm... Maybe this can help him with his fear of water. And think of me too.

I head back to the villa, sitting on a chair and hold up the charm. It is so pretty, but, "Hmm, I wonder what Sonic would say." I hope he will like it. "Who's that for, Amy?" Ah! I hide the charm behind me from Cream. "Uh... oh, nobody." I lie. Please have her believe that. "You didn't make that for Sonic, did you?" Oh, why does she have to be so smart? "No, of course not." I deny.

But the ground starts to shake and we hurry down to where the others are and see smoke coming from-Oh, no! The new resort! "Chris!" (Y/N) starts running. "(Y/N), wait!" Tails exclaims, "No time!" She yells back. "But the water!" I shout. She runs towards it then jumps but lands on it? I stare as a sparkling road appears and (Y/N) runs on it as she heads to the resort. How can she do that? (Indeed~ 🧐) "Come on! We need to get to the Tornado!" I blink. "Right!" I state. Hurrying off to change, no way am I letting today be ruined.

Sonic's P.O.V.

What a relaxing day~ I open the door, "Hey! Huh?" Only to find the place empty. Huh, they must still be at the beach. "I forgot that everybody is gone but me." I walk over and place the flowers I found in a vase. "You don't see beautiful flowers like this at the seashore. The mountains are far superior." I say in an accent. Just having a little fun. "Sonic." "Hmm?" Chuck appears, "So, you're finally here, are you?" He marches in. "Yeah." What's got him so grouchy? He turns on the TV and it's the news showing of an attack on the Emerald Coast. Wait... the others! (Shoot!)

Eggman appears on the TV and laughs. Of course it's him. "The owners of the Emerald Coast Resort didn't invite me to their opening, so I knocked it down and turned it into my own vacation destination. It's now Eggman's Scream Park." Seriously, he didn't get invited so he's throwing a tantrum. But someone laughs behind me and I turn around, glaring at Bokkun. "I brought you a personal invitation. Your friend Chris is already there. He's having a great time." He says. "Stop by. We'll have a real blast." He says, and the bomb is lit. Shoot. I pick it up, but it blows up. (💥)

I shake off the ash, "Oh, well." I run off and head straight for Emerald Coast. Looks like I'm having a beach day after all.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

Stupid Eggman! When I get my hands on him, I AM RIPPING THAT MUSTACHE CLEAN OFF HIS FACE!!! (Eep! I'm scared. 😨) I keep running with the help of my roadway and jump onto the resort. I look to find something robots and hurry off to hide. They pass me and I look to find Eggman hovering around and yelling orders. "You're gonna get it- *SLAP* -No! Find Chris, Ella and Tanaka!" I tell myself, after slapping myself in the face. You are spared, Eggman. For now.

I carefully make my way throw the park like a ninja. (Ninja! 🥷🏻) I press my back against a wall and look over to check if it's clear, but hear a clatter and snap my head to find a robot. Crap. It moves towards me, but I kick it. And its head came off. "Whoa." I lower my leg down carefully. "Okay. Focus, focus, focus." I whisper and continue moving to try and find the others. And there they are!

Eggman barks out orders and I take my chance to run over to them, "Chris!" He turns around, "(Y/N)!" I make it to him and rest my hands on his shoulders, "Are you hurt?" I ask, checking him over. "I'm fine. But why are you still in your swimsuit?" He asks. I freeze from that, letting him go and crossing my arms, "I didn't have time." I defend. (And yet still looking fine!) "Why are you here? It's too dangerous." Ella says. "I had to make sure Chris is safe." I tell her. But a dust cloud appears and we all cough. Once it clears, Sonic appears. "Ha, Sonic!" Chris exclaims. "Took him long enough." I smile. "Hiya, Chris. Thought I'd drop by for a visit." Sonic waves. He looks at me and- Wait, is he blushing?

But a giant robot octopus appears and I move to stand in front of the group. "You fell right into my trap, Sonic. I know you can't swim, so I lured you to the sea." Eggman says. "Get him, Octoron!" The bot sends two of its sharp tentacles at Sonic, but he easily dodges them. He jumps and goes to kick it but another blocks it then wraps him. "Shoot." I mutter. It puts him in the water.

"SHOOT!" He's gonna drown! I sprint and dive into the water. I swim down and meet with him. He looks at me and waves an arm for me to go but I grab onto the tentacle. Trying to pull so Sonic could get free but it's too strong. Come on, come on! I grit my teeth but stop as sparkles appears on the tentacle. "Aaaaaaahhhhh!!!" I scream while holding onto dear life as we suddenly her pulled out of the water. (Well, that was unexpected.) I accidentally let go and fall, "Got ya!" I cough out water then look up at Sonic, "Thanks." Okay, not what I had planned with my powers. Which I still don't know how to control.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Miss Mayhem. Arriving in a swimsuit is a bold statement." I glare at Eggman. "You're one to talk. Then again your outfit does well to tell others that you're a drag." I snap back. (I couldn't help myself.) Sonic laughs, "Yeah, and thanks for the refreshing surprise, Eggy." Sonic says. I smirk from that. "Well, let's see how long you're able to stay refreshed." Eggman says. The octobot lowers us down to the water again, but I focus and hold out my hand. Inhaling deeply, I try to summon my powers. Suddenly, a rope appears and I tug with all my might. My feet touch the ground and I focus on trying to pull Sonic free, stepping back while feeling stronger than usual.

"Don't let Sonic slip out of your grip, Octotron!" I hear Eggman shout while not being able to step back anymore. I plant my feet down, "(Y/N), let go. You'll get hurt!" Sonic says. "No way! I'm not letting go!" I shout, looking at Sonic. "If you don't want to let go, then you can drown with that hedgehog!" I hear Eggman yell, but I don't care. I will NOT let go.

Third Person P.O.V.

Octoron starts stepping into the sea as they pull (Y/N) back due to her still holding onto Sonic. (Y/N) close her eyes and plants her feet on the ground, her body glowing a faint (F/C) as the ground breaks beneath her feet and stays in place. Sonic looks at her with wide eyes, amazed by her will. Eggman notices this and looks at her in fascination. "Hmmm." He hums in thought. (He noticed!)

The Tornado X appears and flies above the battle. "Sonic." Amy says. She stands up and opens the hatch. "Amy, wait!" Tails yells as she jumps and falls. "Let him go!" She shouts, taking out her Piko Piko Hammer. She yells and swings down, breaking the tentacle. Octoron gets smacked by it and falls into the water with a splash, "WHAA!" (Y/N) exclaims as she falls back, the glow fades and Sonic lands on her with his face in her chest. He pushes himself up and looks down at (Y/N), "Thanks for cushioning my fall." He winks at her, while also blushing a little. (Y/N) gives him a narrow look, "Best get running before I smack you." She tells him with a deadpanned tone. (Yes, ma'am.)

Sonic chuckles with a sweat drop then helps her stand up. "HOW COULD YOU?!?" Eggman yells in disbelief. "Keep your rotten robots away from my Sonic or you're gonna be sorry." Amy warns. "Thanks, Amy!" Sonic thanks her then runs up a tower and jumps off it as he soars through the air. "Hey, Sonic!" Tails shouts, firing a power ring. Sonic grabs it and channels its power as he spins dashes straight down at Octoron; first going through it then returns and do extensive damage on the inside before exiting, it splashes into the water then explodes in a massive show of light and water. "Oh, no!" Eggman cries out.

Sonic lands on the ground with a satisfied smirk. "Sonic!" Then it drops as he gets jumped by Amy as she gives him a strong hug. "Whoa, lighten up, Amy." He says. "You won this time, but I'm not through." Eggman warns, flying off in his Egg Mobile. "Yeah, right." Sonic responds, not phased by his threats. "What you did was crazy." Sonic tells Amy. "I know, but you make me do crazy things." Amy says, looking at Sonic with a lovestruck gaze. Sonic groans softly as he looks away from her and sweatdrops. (Y/N) watches from the side and holds a hand to her mouth, trying to keep her laughter in.

"Everything okay down there?" Tails asks as he flies by from above. (Y/N) looks up and waves an arm, "All good, Tails!" She shouts back. "Yeah, Tails, thanks for the ring!" Sonic thanks him. "Thank you." He tells Amy. He starts walking off and Amy gasps, "Hey." Sonic stops, "Huh?" Looking back at her. "Sonic, this is a bracelet I made to protect you in the water." Amy holds out the shell bracelet to him. "Oh." Sonic looks at in surprise. (Y/N) watches and smiles at Amy's kind gesture. "You made it for me?" Sonic asks. "If you wear it, it'll bring you good luck." She tells him. "Really?" Sonic asks. Amy close her eyes and blush, still holding the bracelet to him.

Sonic is touched by the gift and reaches out for it, "Whooooa!" But the ground shakes, causing Amy to fall and Sonic catches her, the bracelet thrown and lands on the ground. "Your bracelet!" Amy reaches out for it. However, blocks appear and stack on top of each other, crushing the bracelet. (Ah! 😧)Amy gasps in shock, "I-I can't believe it!" She says. Sonic looks up at the new enemy as (Y/N) runs over and stands beside him, "Another one?!" She yells in annoyance. (Come on! It was a sweet moment!) After the blocks stop stacking, the top one reveals a head looking like a mantis with four arms. Eggman hovers beside it, "I told you I wasn't though with you, Sonic, didn't I?" Eggman taunts.

"My Quizzon have merged to form Serpenter, and it's read to strike. Impressive, isn't it, Sonic?" He says. (Y/N) cracks her neck as she holds up her fists, "You're octobot didn't ruin Beach Day and I won't let your sorry excuse of a snake bot will!" She states, eyes flashing (F/C). "Well, that thing is pretty tall, but I bet in battle it comes up short." Sonic quips.

However, Amy only looks at the destroyed bracelet. Her hard work and gift to Sonic shattered. "You'll need more than speed to survive this robot, Sonic." Eggman argues. "Really? Yo, fang-face, let's see how quickly you can slither." Sonic says, running off. "After him, Serpenter. Get rid of the blue bozo."  Eggman commands.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"Uuuuugh, why can't he just not attack?!" I stomp my foot. "But this should be quick. That thing doesn't look as tough, so we can- Amy?" I see Amy on her knees and she's crying. (Oh. 😢)?Oh, man. I walk over and rest a hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry, Amy. We can make another one." I tell her gently. "I guess my charm wasn't so lucky." I frown as she weeps. I go to say something, but she stops crying and has this- Oh, boy. "Ow!" I pull my hand back, landing on my butt. My hand is a little red. Wait, is she actually burning? (Uh-oh. 😰)

She stands up and takes out her hammer, "NOW YOU'RE GONNA PAY!!!" She yells. Uh-oh. She crushes the robot's tail and I swear it looks like it's in pain. "Uuuuhh..." I sweat while she knocks out the blocks then smashes its head. (Okay, I'm officially scared. 😱) But she gets launched into the air. I stand up and watch as she hits Eggman and he lands in the sea then she dives at him, a massive splash happens. "Amy!" "Huh?" I shake my head and look to find Sonic about to jump in the water. "Oh, no you don't!" I grab him, but he tries to break free.. "Amy needs help!" "But you can't swim!" "She's my friend!" "And she's mine too!" Sonic stops struggle and looks back at me. I look at him, "I got this." I tell him. He says nothing but nods his head. I let him go then take off my sandals. I take a deep breath then dive into the water.

I look around and try to find Amy then spot her. She's sinking! I swim faster and but she's sinking fast. Come on! COME ON! I can't lose her. I reach my arm out and a sparkling rope appears. It wraps around Amy and pulls her to me. Holding her close, I swim up to the surface. "Aaah." I gasp, coughing out water. "(Y/N)!" I look to see the Tornado with a ladder hang from it. I reach out and grab onto it, hanging on while keeping Amy close. (Nothing like saving someone from drowning to complete a beach day, eh? 🌊)

We make it back to the others and I let go, landing on the ground then gently set Amy down on her back. She lays on the ground like she's asleep. Oh, no... "(Y/N)!" I blink and feel something wrap around me, "You're shaking. Let's get you warmed up." It's Ella. Shaking? I didn't even notice. Mr. Tanaka appears and checks over Amy. "She is alright. Just unconscious, rest is all she needs." I sigh. Thank goodness. (😮‍💨)

We head back to the villa. I changed out of my swimsuit and into a tank top and shorts, walking along the beach. We almost lost Amy. If it wasn't for my powers... "NO!" I slap myself. "She's okay. She's okay." I tell myself. "Are you okay?" "Eek!" I jump and look to find Sonic. Oh. Embarrassing. (Heh. 😅) "Uh, hey. I thought you went back home." I say, walking over and sit beside him. He looks at something in his hands and I look to see its the shattered bracelet Amy made for him.

Oh. He's trying to fix it. (How sweet. ☺️) I smile from that. "Hey, need some help?" I ask. He looks up at me and stares. "Hm?" I snap my fingers, "Hey." "Huh?" He blinks. "Need some help?" I repeat. "Oh. Yeah, thanks." He says, focusing back at the bracelet. I smile and help him repair it. "I was worried about Amy." He says. I put together a shell then look at him, "Sometimes I think she cares too much about others and not enough on herself." Yeah, she is someone driven by emotions. "Her heart is where her strength comes from. I mean, did you see her with that hammer?" I smile.

He laughs, "Yeah. She can be pretty scary." "Tell me about it." We laugh. Also, note to self: NEVER get on Amy's bad side. (Good. Good note.)

We finish the bracelet and Sonic wears it. He smiles, "I don't usually get a lot of gifts. I never minded, but it's from a friend and that is what makes it special." He says. I smile from that. Even if he can be a cocky and cheeky guy, he is very sweet and caring. I pet his head and he leans into my hand. The sun starts to set and we watch together. Craziest beach day ever. (🌅)
