Roman couldn't have wiped the smile off of his face if he tried.

He currently had his three boyfriends laying on him and hugging him tightly. Boyfriends. Roman had thought that he would never find himself in a romantic relationship again. Not after what happened. But these boys changed his mind about the matter, and he was eternally grateful for that. They sat in a content silence for about 5 minutes, only being filled by the occasional giggle or sigh of happiness. Eventually, Roman looked at the boys and noticed Patton staring back at him. He raised an eyebrow at him. "Could I kiss you, Ro?" Patton asked softly. Roman felt his heart rate quicken. He didnt feel ready for that at all. Of course, he really liked these boys. He even knew that he trusted them. But a kiss was so much more than a simple peck to him now. Patton noticed the boy's obvious discomfort. "It's okay, Ro. You don't have to. I was just asking. It's okay." Roman knew he was trying to be supportive and understanding, but the unmistakable glint of disappointment was visible in the smaller boy's eyes. So he did the only thing he could think of.

He pulled Patton closer and kissed him on the cheek.

Patton giggled in the most adorable way Roman had ever seen. Roman reached for his phone and typed out a quick message, the other three watching him.

I'm sorry guys, I just don't feel ready to kiss on the lips. I know it sounds stupid. But that doesn't reflect anything about how I feel about you. I really, really like you three. I'm just not ready for that.

The three boys read the message, their expressions softening. "It isn't stupid, Ro, and you don't have to apologize for anything. Anything that we do in this relationship will be at your pace, no questions asked. We want you to feel comfortable with us," Virgil explained, running his fingers through Roman's hair. Roman smiled softly, closing his eyes and humming in contentment. "However, if you are comfortable with it, may I kiss you on the cheek?" Logan asked with a slight blush. Roman opened his eyes and looked at him, giggling softly before nodding. Logan grinned back at him, leaning down and kissing his cheek softly. Roman's face flushed, enjoying physical affection for the first time in years. Virgil whined dramatically, causing the other three to look at him with an amused expression. "You guys can't be kissing each other and leave me out. It's not fair," he whined with a slight grin, showing that he was kidding. Roman rolled his eyes fondly before wrapping his arms around Virgil' waist and pulling him close, kissing his cheek. Virgil just smirked, looking toward Patton and Logan. "Guys, I think this means war." Roman looked at the three with a confused expression. However, the other three looked at each other with a grin, before turning toward Roman.

Roman didn't have any time to think before the three launched forward and began peppering his face with soft yet quick kisses. Roman couldn't step himself from laughing loudly at the action. Not a moment later, Roman's door slammed open. All three boys jumped back and looked at the doorway with red faces. Remy stared back at them with a shocked grin. "I came to see how you made Roman laugh so loudly, and I have to say...this is not what I expected." "Rem, this isn't what it looks like! We just-" Virgil attempted to explain. "I don't care, Virge. It's none of my business. I'm just glad to see Roman smiling again." All four boys grinned at that statement. "I'll leave you guys alone. Have fun," Remy teased before turning and shutting the door. "Well. That went far better than anticipated," Logan said. The other three nodded with an expression of relief. Patton pulled out his phone and gasped when he saw the time. "Oh gosh, I completely forgot! I have practice today in about 20 minutes! I have to go," Patton scrambled up. Logan shot up after him, pulling the frantic boy into his arms. "Breathe, love. I'll drive you. We'll make it on time." Patton nodded, relaxing immediately. "I should probably head out too. I have a stupid project for English that I need to finish," Virgil added, standing as well. Roman followed in suit, leading the three to the front door. Patton was the first the run forward and hug Roman. "Bye, Ro. I'll see you at school!" Patton said as he jumped up and kissed Roman on the cheek. Roman giggled as he hugged the small boy back. As he pulled away from Patton, he was pulled into another embrace. Logan held him close for a moment before pulling away. Finally, Virgil hugged him, leaning down to whisper in his ear. "You gonna be okay?" Roman nodded, hugging him back tightly before letting go. He smiled at the three boys as they left the house, shutting the door behind them with a small wave.

As he walked back into the living room, Remy sprinted out of his bedroom, Emile chasing him. "I'm sorry, Ro! I couldn't hold him back anymore," Emile exclaimed. Roman just chuckled at his parents. "So...what was that all about?" Remy asked, attempting to be calm about the situation. Roman's face flushed, a light blush dusting his cheeks. "Oh my goodness, are you guys together?" Remy asked with a gasp. Roman nodded slowly, unable to stop the grin spreading on his face. Remy squealed loudly, causing Emile and Roman to giggle at his antics. Roman pulled out his phone and typed a message to the two.

They asked me to be their boyfriend today. I said yes ! :)

Remy and Emile smiled widely upon reading the message. "You feel safe with these boys?" Emile asked. Roman nodded, his face reflecting his genuine response. "Well I am very happy for you, Roman. You deserve this. These boys seem to be very good for you," Emile said with a soft smile. Roman nodded in agreement.

"What's this I hear about a certain somebody getting not one, not two, but three hot new boyfriends?" Roman snorted as he turned towards his brother who was now standing in the hallway entrance. "I'm proud of you, Ro. Good for you," Remus said as he walked into the room and flopped down on the couch. Roman texted Remus directly.

Are you feeling any better?

Remus read the message and smiled softly. "Yeah, I am. Thanks for asking." Roman nodded before sitting next to him on the couch. "Parks and Rec?" Remus asked as he grabbed the remote. Roman nodded eagerly. Remy and Emile watched their boys fondly.

Maybe they would all be okay.
