Third Person Point Of View
Catching the girl who just fainted right before his eyes, Shawn was dumbfounded.
Jenna was limp in his arms. She was completely out. Shawn gently shook her to see if it would wake her.
He sighed and mumbled to himself, "Fuck~"
He picked Jenna up bridal style and carried her to his own personal campsite. In all honesty Shawn didn't mean to frighten her. He just wanted to ask if she knew any other survivors. He hasn't seen any except her for awhile.
Ever since his mother was taken away from him he was all alone. Without time to mourn he made sure to keep moving.
Once arriving at his campsite he sat Jenna upright. He carefully caressed her cheek. No, this wasn't the time to be admiring her beauty, but he just couldn't help himself. She was stunning. From the way her hair swept over her face to her pink plump full lips.
Jenna slowly began to wake up. Rubbing her eyes she was greeted by someone who she has never seen before. She had to admit he was absolutely stunning. She took in his beauty for a moment before finally snapping back into reality.
Her eyes widened and she spoke up in a somewhat frightened voice,"W-where am I?"
Shawn was taken aback. Even her voice was angelic.
"Who are you? Where's my sister? Why-"
Shawn took her by her hand and stood her up,"There's more?...More survivors?"
Jenna nodded slowly,"Yes....But you haven't answered my questions. I think its only fair that you do."
Shawn chuckled at Jenna's cuteness. He couldn't believe that she was actually acting like a five year old at a time like this. Hearing that there were more survivors gave Shawn hope. He hasn't seen another survivor in weeks. Perhaps months. The last one he saw was his mother, and it wasn't exactly the best goodbye. He lost his mother right after he lost his little sister.
She had just turned eight. It was her birthday, and before the outbreak they would always throw her huge parties but this time they just couldn't. She didn't quite understand what was happening and why. She just wanted a new teddy bear. The one she owned at the time was becoming worn out.
Shawn tried to tell her that for the first time in her whole life that she couldn't get what she wanted. His sister became upset. She threw a tantrum while their mother was out looking for food to eat for the night. Shawn snapped and yelled at her for the first time. Not just because of her being spoiled, but because of everything going on. He let out all his anger on her. He didn't mean to.
She ran away tears streaming down her face. She exclaimed that she hated him and was going to find their mom to tell on him. She tossed her bear to the ground and ran off.
Realizing what he had done he decided to cool down a bit before chasing after her. Once he was settled down he went to look for her. He looked and looked, but he just couldn't find her.
When he returned back to their campsite the only thing left of her was her teddy bear. He held it in his arms crying cursing himself for saying such words to her. He hated himself for it. When his mom came back he had to make up something. He didn't want her to hate him too.
"E-excuse me?", Jenna hesitantly spoke up tapping Shawn on his shoulder.
She hadn't known but she snapped Shawn out of his thoughts. Which was a good thing.
Shawn should never be left alone with his thoughts for so long.
