Moving day//

The U-haul truck was packed, Jessica and Danny were on their way.

Dorthy was in tears.

"Jessie, are you sure you two don't need help packing things over there. I don't want you lifting or moving around a lot." Albert sighs looking at his very pregnant daughter.

"We will be okay, I promise. Besides, we just have easy stuff to move like clothes, dishes, extra baby stuff, bathroom stuff, and anything else small. But thank you dad." Jessica nods

"If you need anything, you just let me know sweetheart. I'll be there." Dorthy takes Jessica's hands and smiles fighting the tears.

"I'll take care of her." Danny smiles

"On second thought, before we leave I should go to the bathroom!" Jessica chuckles

"Go pee before we leave!" Danny says

"I will. These babies are having a party on my Blatter." Jessica wobbles back into the house. Albert and Dorthy look and Danny.

"Could we talk to you, Danny?"

"Of course."

"We are scared to see our Jessie go... You are the only family she'll have out there. We know you love her and that you will protect her. It's hard to see her go, but as long as we knows she'll be safe it eases our mind." Albert says

"Mr. and Mrs. Lange, I want you to know that I will never let Jessica get hurt. I love her with all my heart. I will protect her. I'll make sure she takes it easy, I'll protect your grandchildren too. I'll give them the best life out there. Don't you worry."

"Thank you Daniel... Jessica is so lucky to have you."

"I'm lucky to have her. And after everything, thank you for being so supportive of us and letting me into your family."

"You're a great man Daniel Huston. I'm happy for you and Jessica. I only wish you the best of luck at your new job." Albert walks up to Daniel and gives him a hug.

"Thank you, sir. I'll work my ass off." Danny chuckles

"Gosh, is it bad to feel this sick. My baby girl is leaving!" Dorthy covers her face.

"Before you know it she'll be having those babies and we can visit." Albert tries to calm Dorthy down so Jessica doesn't see her cry.

It was very emotional for Jessica. She was leaving her home town. But she didn't have doubts of leaving. She couldn't wait. She would be starting her new job soon and the babies would be there in only a matter of weeks.

"I can't believe this pregnancy has gone by so fast." Albert shakes his head.

"It's amazing." Danny nods

"My baby Jessie, she's pregnant with twins on her way to a city she barely knows. I'm so scared Albert! What if she goes into labor and I'm not there?" Dorthy digs her head into Alberts chest and wraps her arms around him.

"Dorthy, don't worry." He says

"If anything happens, I'll call." Danny says

"Is everything okay?" Jessica wobbles back to the car.

"Yes!" Dorthy stops crying and hugs Jessica.

"Mom, you're going to make me cry." Jessica walks over to Dorthy and gives her a hug.

"Don't! It's bad for my grand babies." Dorthy giggles

"I guess this is goodbye?" Jessica sighs

"I guess so... One last hug?" Albert smiles

"Of course... I'll miss you so much."

Jessica and Danny drove up to New York. The car ride was about nineteen hours. Jessica and Danny made stops along the way. They didn't drive straight through. It was too long for Jessica to be in the car. They ended up staying in a hotel room along the way in Ohio. Danny needed rest so he could drive the rest of the way.

May 12th-

Jessica and Danny finally made it to New York. Danny parked the truck. Jessica and Danny got out and Jessica looked at their new apartment.

She took a deep breath in and a deep breath out. This was it, her new home. Jessica was home. She was going to miss Cloquet. New York was her new home. It all sunk it and felt too real.

As Danny helped her up the stairs she kept thinking;

These are the stairs I'll walk up everyday. I'll bring my babies home and up these stairs. I'm starting a new life here. Danny and I are living in New York together. Is this like a new life in a way? This is home.

"welcome home, family." Danny opens the door. Most of their things were already in the apartment. It looked so beautiful.

Jessica gasped as she walked in. Danny got on his knees and kissed Jessica's belly. "Scarlett, Wyatt, we are home. This is where mommy and I are going to bring you home. We are going to raise you here. Think about all the memories we can make."

Jessica started to cry unexpectedly. "Danny, I couldn't be happier. I'm so happy."

"Oh Jessie, when people are happy they don't cry." Danny stands up and puts his arms on Jessica's hips to help support her.

"I know, it's just my hormones!" Jessica wipes her tears and looks around.

When Danny visited he had done so much work, and Jessica was so happy he had. He put so much effort into the rooms to make it feel more homey for Jessica.

"Oh, I have a surprise!" Danny giggles taking Her hand.

"Oh what is it? I'm tired and want to unpack before I fall asleep." Jessica groans

"Once you see this, gosh I don't know what you'll do."

Danny takes Jessica down the hall and stands in front of the nursery door.

"Alright, cover your eyes." Danny says

"Wait, what? Why?"

"Do it."

Jessica covers her eyes and Danny opens the door.

Jessica uncovers her eyes. She was shocked to see the nursery painted a nice beige color. Two cribs were up against the wall. One had a pink comforter and the other and a blue with a white canopy hanging above it. Drawings of animals were hung up on the walls. There were two dresses, a rocking chair, and bassinet in the room. The clothes were all put away, the toys were laid out, everything was ready.

Jessica had put together an idea for the nursery and told Danny.

Jessica was in tears once again, shocked that Danny had done this.

"Do you like it?" Danny ask walking in.

"Oh my gosh, I love it. This is exactly like the room I had pinned on my-"

"Yep, I did some snooping through your Pinterest." Danny chuckles

"I love it. How did you manage do move half of our stuff, decorate, and do the nursery? Thank you so much Danny!"

"I had some help. But I did he nursery by myself. I knew you wanted to do it, but I thought it would be even more special if I surprised you. I left small little projects for you to do, because I know you probably would want me to."

"You're so sweet. And it's even more special as a surprise. I love it."

"I'm glad." Danny kneels down and puts his head on Jessica's belly.

"Now we are in your nursery guys! Of course when your older you can have separate rooms. For now to make it easier on mommy and I, you are sharing one." Danny talks to the babies and Jessica stands, gazing at the room and all if he beautiful details.

"You can't forget that they sleep in the bassinets in our room for the first few months." Jessica giggles

"Of course, we can have sleepovers every night....

I can't wait to meet you guys and be the best daddy."

Jessica looks at Danny and he stands back up. Jessica passionately kisses Danny as he wraps his body around her. She was so happy to have him. She couldn't wait to start her life in New York. She was home.

"Danny, our kids are so lucky to have an awesome dad like you."

"They are lucky to have you!"

"I'm being serious. What you did was so amazing. You did a great job, I wouldn't change anything. I'm so appreciative. Truly, thank you." Jessica says sincerely

"I know that from the start you were nervous to leave. I wanted to make sure that this became your dream home and that I got a lot of things out of the way. I didn't want you to be stressed. All we have to unpack is clothes and stuff. I did this because I love you three, I plan to give you the best life."

Jessica looks into Danny's eyes and hugs him.

"My beautiful Jessie, I only want to make you happy."

These next couple chapters are going to be excited.

Also, I've been typing on my iPad lately and realized that my phone has been changing the spelling of Jessica's hometown. Instead of "Colquet" it's actually "cloquet" I knew that the whole time but it totally passed my mind. And I just started getting used to typing "Colquet". So I'm sorry to anyone who noticed that lol!!
