It was a few days after thanksgiving. Jessica and Danny were really enjoying their stay. It was nice for them to get away from New York and all the craziness that comes with it and just enjoy themselves.

Since so many of their family and friends were in Minnesota any opportunity they'd get to catch up with them they'd take.

It was a Sunday. Danny had some plans with high school friends and Jessica just wanted to spend the day with her mother then later see her sisters and Sarah.

Luckily for the both of them Danny's family wanted to spend the day with the twins and take them to a museum. So, Jessica and Danny parted ways and Jessica took the kids to Zoe and John's.

"Look! It's granny and grandpa!" Jessica says walking into their home

Scarlett starts to clap and Wyatt becomes shy.

"John, the twins are here!" Zoe says taking the excited baby from Jessica.

"Ah-Ha! You love visiting, Don't you?" Zoe asks Scarlett enthusiastically

Scarlett nods "g" She says

"Haha, good job baby." Jessica says

"And you little mister... you must be grumpy!" John says taking him from Jessica's hands.

"Thank you so much for watching them today." Jessica says

"Any time. We always want to see them. Some of the grandkids are coming over today so it will be nice to have them all at once." Zoe smiles

"They are all rested up and fed. But I packed lots of snacks, diapers, and bottles." Jessica chuckles

"Great! You two seem all set, huh?" Zoe asks

"Wyatt, why are you so grumpy?" John asks

"No" he pouts

"Oh! My little drama king. Don't be grumpy today!" Jessica says

Wyatt starts to laugh at her "See, you're just a little faker!"

After Jessica left Zoe and John's she headed back to the city to grab lunch with her mom. With all of the craziness Jessica hasn't had lots of time to really sit down and just talk with her mom.

"The wedding is quickly approaching!" Dorthy squeals

Jessica smiles "Yes... it's crazy..." she says

"It will be a great day. Your dress is gorgeous. I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it." She pouts

"Mom, it's fine. I know it isn't always easy to pick up and leave." 

"Are you excited?" Dorthy asks

Jessica sighs "Yes, it's just a bit draining planning for a wedding. I never wanted a big wedding like this. I mean it's not huge, but it's big."

"The more people to celebrate with!"

"I just want to marry him, now." She smiles

"The time will come. What do you plan to do after your married?"

"Well, I guess go back to work. A honeymoon is not ideal for right now."

"Okay, but I mean what's next?"

Jessica shrugged her shoulders "I don't know. We don't have that exciting of a life." Jessica chuckles

"No, I mean are you going to go back to college like you always wanted to, maybe a baby?"

Jessica hadn't really thought after what was next. Ever since Jessica was pregnant she wanted to go back to school for interior design. She could never find the right time. Another baby was also something her and Danny had talked about for the future.

"I want to go back to school... but it's not in the budget either."

"Your father and I told you we'd send you back, love."

"I can't ask that of you two. You're already paying for the wedding." Jessica shakes her head

"Honey, we know how badly you want to go back."

"But-" Jessica sighs

"What honey?"

"Danny and I may want another baby too... not immediately after marriage but, in the near future. I for sure wouldn't be able to juggle a new baby, twins, work, and college."

"So you'd have to decide."

"Yes. We will see. I'm taking it one step at a time."

After lunch Jessica met with her sisters and Sarah. They walked around the mall for a bit then went their separate ways as the day was slowly coming to an end. Before Jessica met up with Danny back at his parents house for a little get together she wanted to stop at the drug store to pick up some things for the trip back home.

As she was in the dental aisle she slowly turned her head to see Sam, standing next to her. He didn't realize it was her. Jessica got a bit nervous. They always ran into each other at some type of store.

"Sam?" Jessica turns to him

"Jess, hey." He says awkwardly. It bad been a while since they had talked. Last time they had him and Danny had a falling out. Though the two made up, it was still weird.

"How are you? You look great." She says

"I'm good, how about you?"

"Ahh, busy! Don't I always say that?" She giggles

Then, Sam's eyes directly hit Jessica's wedding finger. When he sees the ring he moves his head.

"You're getting married." He says

Jessica hides her had slowly and nods "Yeah, I am." She smiles

"Well, Congrats. When?"

"Thank you. And in February." She says softly. Jessica never told Sam about the engagement or the wedding. She didn't know if it would be right to tell him.

"Huh, well that's good. And the twins?"

"They're growing!" She chuckles

"Ha, I bet they are."

They stand in silence for a moment. They both didn't know what to say but for some reason they were both eager to catch up.

"When do you leave?" He asks

Jessica smiles "In two days. Tomorrow is our last full day."

"If you want, or if it's okay, can we catch up? Lunch?"

In Jessica's heart she wanted to say yes. They always caught up. Jessica and Sam were friends now. But in her mind she said no. She knew Danny wouldn't be happy about it and he couldn't lie to him.

"I will have to see what we are doing tomorrow. How about I text you if I'm available?"

"Okay, sounds good. I'll catch ya later."

Jessica drove back to Danny's parents house and there were already so many cars in the driveway. All of his family was over for a big get together. When she walked in she saw Scarlett and Wyatt tumbling around with their cousins. When they saw Jessica, they went crazy for her.

Both twins came up and hugged her legs.

"Mama!" They yell

"Oh, hello! Did you two miss me?" Jessica says kneeling to the ground to give them a hug.

"Miss you!" Wyatt says

Then, Danny comes up behind them. "Hey! You're here!" He says

"I am!" Jessica stands up and kisses Danny. The twins didn't like that so they kept tugging on Jessica's pants.

"Hey! No tugging on mamas pants." Jessica says picking up Scarlett

She pouts

"Look, it's the bride and groom to be!" Angelica says

"Yes! Sorry I'm late!" Jessica says giving her a hug

"Oh it's no biggie! We have all kinds of food, come in and enjoy!"

After the party Jessica and Danny drove back to Dorthy and Albert's house. The twins were passed out in the back.

Jessica really wanted to go out to lunch with Sam, but she knew she'd have to ask Danny. Asking him made her so nervous.

"Hun, can I talk to you about something?" She says turning down the music

"Of course, what's up?" He asks

"Well, I ran into Sam today." Jessica turns to Danny and his face went blank.

"Okay..."

"He wants to catch up over lunch... I think I'm going to go, tomorrow, for lunch. Only if you are okay with it."

Danny didn't say anything. He just cleared his throat and kept driving. He wasn't comfortable with Jessica seeing Sam. Even though things were okay between to the two men, he couldn't help but feel anxious.

"Danny?" Jessica says

"I can't stop you from going, so go." He says in a snarky way

Jessica rolls her eyes "If you're going to say it like that I won't!"

"No, just go! Catch up with your friend, I don't care."

"Damn it! You do care." She crosses her arms as she becomes frustrated with Danny's attitude.

Danny sighs "I'm sorry... I just don't know if I feel comfortable."

Jessica rolls her eyes "What do you think us going to happen? Huh?"

Danny didn't say anything.

"We are friends now. I owe it to him to just catch up once and a while."

"That's the thing Jessica. It's been a year and you feel like you owe him something. You don't owe him anything. The past is the past."

Danny was right. Jessica still carried around all this guilt. But that wasn't the reason why she wanted to go out to lunch with him.

"He cheated on you too. Remember? But to him you're the bad guy. I just hate how you always get sad after you see him. It's almost like that guilt is still hanging on. Are you guilty for being with me and getting two beautiful babies out of it?" Danny asks

"No, of course not...."

Danny nods "I'm sorry... I just get so frustrated over the topic. All those things he said to you in the past, I just get so angry. But, You two are friends now, if you want to go, you can go. I appreciate you asking, I don't want to be the asshole that tells you no. It's not that I'm nervous anything will happen. I trust you, but him... I don't know."

Jessica grabs onto Danny's hand and puts it on her leg. "Listen to me. I love you, Daniel Huston. I love our children. I don't love Sam anymore. You're my boyfriend, he isn't. I am just going to catch up with him and that's all. He wants to see how the twins are and I want to see how he's doing. That's all."

Danny takes Jessica's hand and kisses it.
"I know... you two are friends and I get it."

"And that's all."
