June 16th- 36 weeks

Over the past week Jessica went to work, did things around the house, and went to her weekly appointments. Her body got weaker and weaker. She became more tired, moody, and her body hurt her so much. She pushed through it. She had only been working with Mary for a month and was doing so well seeing clients, being apart of meetings, and helping with big projects like the Millers. She promised herself she wouldn't stop working until the babies were born.

When she was home she was either gathering last minute things for the babies or cleaning. She never really took many breaks. After a while she would start to hurt but she would just go to bed.

Danny tried to get Jessica to relax and not overwork herself but it seemed impossible. He would always call Mary and check up on Jessica.

Things were going well for Danny too. He got to be in a court room a few times and was put on case teams. Everything felt so right, and his boss loved him.

"I don't know how much bigger my body can't get." Jessica slowly wobbles in the kitchen and hunches over the sink.

"Maybe you should stay home today." Danny comes up behind her rubbing her back.

Jessica took a deep breath and smiled.

"I'll be just fine! My skin has just stretched so much. It hurts." She chuckles breathlessly.

"The closer to the due date you become weaker and weaker. It can become hard for you to breathe. I really just want you to take it easy."

"I do! Your aunt has me on desk work. I can barely do anything there until after the babies are born." Jessica moves over to the fridge and grabs some water and fruit.

She heads over to the couch and sits down. Sitting at the dinning room table was too hard for her.

Danny followed her and began rubbing her feet once she sat down.

"What are you going to do when your not pregnant?" Danny giggles

"Ummm..... take care of our babies and not be pregnant."

"You can't use the 'I'm pregnant' excuse anymore. No more feet rubs, back rubs, twelve am runs to the deli for midnight cravings." Danny smirked at Jessica trying to hold back his laugh.

Jessica gave him a stink eye and pushed her foot forward as hard as she could hitting him in the chest.

"Oh no Mr. I can still use the excuse that I was the one pregnant for nine months, I was the one that had to go through delivery, and I will be the one feeding them at night, and taking care of them while you're at work." Jessica moves her feet away from Danny and he starts to laugh.

"I don't find it funny." She crosses her arms and pouts.

"I'm sorry baby! I was just kidding!" Danny sits up and tries to touch Jessica but she wouldn't let him.

"Help me up do I can go to work."

"Anything for you."

Danny's POV at work//

Danny had just got off a meeting and was on break in his office eating lunch.

His boss then walked in.

"Daniel, nice to see you here. I'm guessing your babies didn't come yet?" Frank was the owner of the law firm that Danny worked at. Frank was the one who offered Danny the job.

"Not yet, almost three weeks left."

"So that gives you enough time to fly out to Buffalo with me?"

"Fly out to Buffalo?"

"Yes, we are meeting with a client on the twenty-fifth. I can handle your ticket and travel. It would only be for a day. We'd leave early morning come home late."

"Frank, I really don't know if I feel comfortable leaving Jessica. That's only five days from her due date. Besides, I have family coming in that day."

"Danny, it isn't an option. And if anything goes wrong I'll have the firms plane fly you home. I need you to come, this could be your big break. I've never had a new employee come with me. You've got talent, Danny."

Danny nodded and let out a sigh.

"Put it in your calendar, Huston! Taxi will be at your apartment at seven sharp." Frank stands up and leaves.

Danny grabs his hair and begins to panic.

When Danny got home he was very nervous. He didn't know how Jessica would react to him leaving for the day.

"Danny! You're home, thank goodness!" Jessica says loudly from the kitchen.

Danny walks in then suddenly sees Jessica on the floor. He drops his bag and runs down next to her taking her hand.

"Baby, what happened? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine! I was cleaning these tile floors and then I realized I was thirty six weeks pregnant with twins and wouldn't be able to get up." Jessica holds out her hand and Danny helps her up.

"My goodness Jessica, you can't do this kind of stuff when I'm not here!" Danny snaps

"Danny, I'm okay."

"I know, but I get worried for you! You've been so stubborn lately and I've been on edge because you won't take it easy. I know you're fine, but there are still two babies inside of you! Twin pregnancies can become dangerous."
Danny says quickly

Jessica looks into Danny's eyes and sees how scared he was. She takes his hands and puts them on her sides.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you... I feel like something is going on with you, Daniel. Is everything okay?"

Danny sighs and kisses Jessica.

"On the twenty fifth I have to fly out to Buffalo.  Frank wants to put me in a big case. If the clients like me, they will hire me. I don't have a choice. These clients could pay big money." Danny says in a discouraged tone.

Jessica smiles and hugs Danny. "That's great honey! That's my man! The big hot shot lawyer!" Jessica continuously kisses Danny.

"Are you crazy? I can't leave, that's five days away from you're due date. What if you go into labor and I'm not here?"

"Then you owe me big time." Jessica chuckles

"I'm being serious!"

"Me too!"

Danny sighs and walks away. Jessica attempts to chase after him but slows down and breathes heavily.

"Danny!" Jessica yells

Danny quickly turns around.

"Listen, I get that you're scared to go. But I won't be alone at all! And if something happens you can fly home. Labor and delivery isn't a quick thing. And if I feel like that day is the day I will tell you. But think about it, I'll be at work with your aunt, and my mom and dad will be here. So if something happens I'll be okay."

"Promise?"

"Yes, I promise. This is a big opportunity Danny! If you get the job, you get big money. Big money that we will need for these monkeys." Jessica looks down at her huge stomach and chuckles.

"That's right, it's coming so soon. They'll be here so soon."

"I'm nervous. That's why I clean!"

"How about we go take a shower?" Danny smirks

"I can't stand that long." Jessica pouts

"Bath?"

"Not big enough for the two of us."

"Oh yes ma'am!"

"Are you just trying to have sex?"

"Well... I mean-"

"Because I really want it!" Jessica bites her lip.

"It won't be uncomfortable?"

"Danny!" Jessica groans

"Okay! We will go to the bedroom then?" Danny smirks taking Jessica's hand.

An hour later-

Danny gently rolled off Jessica and held his chest. He smiled and looked at Jessica who was drenched in sweat and her face was bright red.

"That. was. Amazing." Danny pauses after each word and holds Jessica's hand.

"No!" Jessica begins to cry covering her face.

Danny rolls over and looks at her.

"I feel so disgusting. I never thought I'd have to work so hard and be so out of breath."

"Jessie, you're beautiful."

"I'm not! The whole time you just watched my boobs swing around, sweat drip from my face, and looked at my stretch marks!"

"Jessica, that's because every inch of your body is gorgeous. I can't help but look."

"Danny!" Jessica exclaims moving away from him.

Danny sighs.

"You can't be so down on yourself."

"I'm bigger than you. I was too heavy to be on top. You had to do all the work while I just laid there."

"That's not true."

"I just wanted it to be special. After the babies come it will be a long time until I can enjoy sex I want to make you happy."

"Awww, Jess. I don't need to have sex with you to be happy. You make me happy enough. And today was great, you did great, and you're beautiful. Don't tell yourself otherwise."

Jessica wipes her tears and nods. "Wow, I never thought I'd cry after sex either!" She giggles
