June 5th// 35 weeks-

"Time to go see our babies! Let's go, I miss them!" Danny exclaims as Jessica lays down on the couch.

"Danny, I can't!" Jessica groans holding her hand on her forehead.

"What? Why! Are you in labor?"

"No! I can't sit up." Jessica rolls her eyes and holds out her hand.

Danny struggles to help her up. Jessica supports her back with her other hand.

Danny let's out a deep breath and Jessica gives him a stern look. "Do you have to rub it in that I'm fat?" Jessica turns away and wobbles over to the kitchen.

"No! I'm not-" Danny sighs and walks over to her.

As Jessica gets closer and closer to her due date Danny kept a close eye on her and everything she did. He watched her body language and tried to look out and see if she had contractions. There was only five weeks to go, but all twin pregnancies were different. There was a chance Jessica could go into labor early. Jessica became more irritable and a lot more uncomfortable. She hadn't slept a full night in weeks. Her whole body hurt. That made her more cranky. Danny wanted her to take maternity leave now, but Jessica couldn't. She was veg stubborn and did what she wanted.

"Danny! I can't see my feet, can you help me put on my flip flops!" She yells form the hallway.

"Of course, I'm on my way!"

Jessica and Danny met with their new OBGYN. Jessica was sad to leave her other doctor in Minnesota. She was such a great doctor and had set up a great birth plan for Jessica. Jessica was very comfortable with her, so having a new doctor put Jessica on edge.

Jessica laid on the table as the doctor walked in.

"You must be Jessica Lange! Hi, I'm doctor Petrella!" The lady walks in and introduces herself.

"That's me, and this is my boyfriend Danny Huston."

"Nice to meet the both of you. Now I'm going to start off by saying that I know new mothers are always nervous to switch OB's, especially this far along. But no need to worry, I talked with you doctor in Minnesota and she told me your birth plan. I'm totally on board."

Jessica let out a sigh of relief and set her head back.

"Thank you! I know many doctors question twin pregnancies making it full term. I just really want them out no sooner or later than July first."

"Why don't we check out the little ones. Do you have any names?"

"Scarlett and Wyatt." Danny says happily

"What beautiful names!"

Jessica lifts up her maternity dress and the doctor sets a blanket underneath her stomach. She puts the gel on her stomach and looks for a heartbeat.

"Very strong heartbeat, I like that!" The doctor smiles

Then the babies appear on the screen and Jessica immediately burst into tears and covers her face.

"Jessie, don't cry." Danny whispers watching the babies move.

"I love them so much." She says in a shaky tone."

"They are both twenty inches. They are both four pounds and fifteen ounces also! Their getting big!" The doctor exclaims

"I can't wait... I just want to get them out!" Jessica groans

"This far along in a twin pregnancy can get very uncomfortable and painful. They babies are getting so big that their movements are a lot more intense. Only five weeks to go! And it looks like the babies have dropped!"

"They for sure have. It's a lot more painful down there, and I pee so much more."

"Take it easy, especially if you want to go full term. But since you want to go full term, I'd reccomend that you come in twice a week. Monday and Friday. I want to monitor you and the babies to make sure everything is safe, alright?"

"Okay! Thank you!"

After Jessica's appointment she headed to work. She was a lot more tired then usual. Her joints and muscles had become weaker and it was harder for her to support her weight. She did a lot of desk work at the moment preparing for her the Miller's home renevation.

"Hello Jessica, how are you today?" Mary walks into Jessica's office and sees the discomfort written all over her face.

Jessica quickly put a smile on her face and smiled. "Im good. Just finishing up the final blueprints for the Miller's basement."

"It's so close! I'm excited, it will be your first big job. Are you excited?"

"Very excited. Sorry I came in late today, I had an appointment."

"No worries. Those appointments are important!"

"Haha, they are! But thank you again, Mary. You've done a lot for me." Jessica's smile turned into her lip quivering as she began to cry.

Mary smiled and took Jessica's hands. "Oh darling, are you okay?"

"I'm just ready for these babies to be born! I can't stop crying!"

"I understand... I've been there, just let it all out! And it's my pleasure to have you working with us. You're an incredible designer. Having you on our team is great!"

"Were you in a lot of pain towards the end?"

"Yes, I planned to go full term, but my doctor just had me get the boys out at thirty seven weeks. Full term pregnancies are dangerous."

Jessica covered her face and cried even more.

"I was planning on going full term! I want to, it's my birth plan!"

Mary widened her eyes. "Jessica, when's your due date?"

"July first"

"You're thirty five weeks?"

"Yes..."

"Oh honey! I feel so bad, you should go home and rest! I hate to keep you here."

"I'm okay, Mary. I really am!" Jessica wipes her tears and smiles.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure! I'm sorry for crying!"

"Don't apologize. You're family and I'm here for you!"

When Jessica got home she quickly got out of her work clothes and into a big t-shirt. She filled up the bath and but her feet in the warm water. Her ankles were swollen and her legs cramped up.

Danny got home a bit later and looked for Jessica.

"Jessica? Are you home? Jessie?" Danny yells from the other room.

Jessica let out a huff and responded. "I'm in here!" Jessica yells

Danny runs into the bathroom holding his chest.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine Danny! God damn it!" She groans

"I'm sorry..."
Danny walks over to her and sits next to her rubbing her back.

"It's fine... That feels good, thank you." She whispers hunching over.

"I'm sorry that you're in pain."

"Everything hurts, but I'll be fine. It's all worth it." Jessica looks down at her stomach and feels the string kicks from the babies.

"I hope I haven't been to clingy, I just really get worried about you."

"It's okay, I appreciate it. You care... It's just right now I'm so inpatient and get annoyed easily, don't take it personally. Okay? I love you."

"I love you too!" Danny leans over and kisses Jessica.
