Jessica and Danny left early in the morning for work. Danny fully recovered and was back to long work days and commuting to Buffalo twice a week. Jessica was working full-time now and finally working the hours she wanted. Her and Danny both made a flexible work schedule so they could see each other and the babies more often.

Like routine, around lunch time Danny picked up Jessica from work to go home for lunch.

"How's your Monday going so far?" Danny says reaching for Jessica's hand.

She clutches onto it tight and kisses his hand. "It's going good. Danny, I love my job. I really do! It's just so much fun!" Jessica exclaims. Her face always lit up when she talked about work.

"I'm happy for you, baby."

"Thank you!" She leans over and kisses him on the cheek.

Jessica and Danny arrive home then rush to see the babies that patiently waited for them with the babysitter.

"My little munchkins! Mommy missed you!" Jessica runs to the couch and sees them both sitting up on their own. She puts her hands on her cheeks and giggles. They immediately start to smile and reach for Jessica. She sits on the floor in front of them and snuggles them with kisses.

"Mommy loves you! She loves you so much." Jessica picks up Scarlett and holds her in one hand then holds Wyatt in the other. They both rest their heads on her shoulders and her heart melts.

"They missed you." Gina, the babysitter, says.

"I bet they did!"

"Isn't it crazy that they'll be turning one in three months?" Danny says

"Don't bring it up! You'll make me sad!" Jessica pouts.

"Think about it. Soon they'll be walking and talking. We'll have two monkeys running around everywhere before you know it."

"Stop, Danny!" She playfully hits him the hugs the babies even fighter.

Jessica's birthday-

The morning of Jessica's birthday Danny woke up extra early to feed the babies so Jessica could sleep in a bit more before work. He took on all the morning chores that Jessica usually would do. He then made her a big breakfast in bed. After breakfast the babysitter came and Danny took Jessica to work.

"I'll see you at lunch time? Then we can go home and celebrate even more!" Danny hugs Jessica by the entrence to her office. She smiles softly then sighs in exhaustion.

"What's wrong, baby? The birthday girl shouldn't be sad!"

"I'm not sad! I feel old."

"Oh please! You aren't old.. you're twenty-four." Danny chuckles

"Thank you for an amazing birthday breakfast. I love you!" Jessica exclaims

"I love you even more! I'll pick you up at twelve, like always." Danny says breaking away from Jessica.

"Yay!"

Danny wanted to surprise Jessica with a great day. He had lots of ideas to do so. Danny got off work a bit early so he could go to the dollar store and get party decorations. He ran home, decorated the house with streamers, signs, balloons, and confetti. He made sure that Gina put the party hats on the babies before Jessica got home.

Once he finished decorating the house he ran to pick up Jessica. The two of them were both off for the rest of the day.

As they were walking in Danny stopped Jessica at the door.

"Jess." He says suddenly

"Hmm?"

"You can't go inside without this." Danny reaches into the bushes and pulls out a party hat. Jessica cracked up laughing.

"You can't be serious." Jessica giggles

"Yes! Now come inside!" Danny reaches for Jessica's hand and they walk up the stairs into the apartment.

The babies were sitting in their high chairs with party hats on.

"This is the cutest thing ever! Aww, Danny! How did you do this?" Jessica laughs

"I got off work a bit earlier. Gina and the babies helped. What do you think?" He says

"Wow, this is so cute! Thank you guys!" Jessica smiles

"Can you say happy birthday to mommy? Say happy birthday mama!" Danny exclaims

The babies laugh then rip off their hats. "Haha, thank you, party animals!" Jessica says happily.

Gina went home. It was just Jessica and the twins. Jessica had to put them down for a nap so Danny and Jessica made a small lunch and sat on the patio outside.

"Now, this is the life." Danny says

"It is, thank you for such a great birthday! Now I have to figure out what I'll do for your birthday. Hmmmm." Jessica smirks

"You'll figure something out. After you finish planning the twins first birthday." Danny chuckles. Jessica had been planning in advance for the twins first birthday.

"I just want their birthday to be special! You can only have a first birthday once. Don't worry, I'll think of something very special." Jessica moves closer to Danny and rests her head on his shoulder.

"I'm so in love with you." She whispers softly.

Later in the day Danny had just taken a shower and was playing with the babies, attempting to get them to fall asleep. Jessica hoped in the shower real quick while Danny did so.

Right as she got out Danny was in the nursery with the babies when Jessica heard a knock at the door. She tightened her robe and fixed the towel wrapped up in her hair before she answered the door.

She swung it open quickly and smiled. "Hel-"

Jessica's jaw dropped when she saw her parents standing at the door with suitcases.

"Surprise!" Albert exclaims

"Happy birthday, hun!" Dorthy drops her bags and hugs Jessica tightly. She was still stunned.

"Oh my gosh! What are you doing here?" Jessica chuckles

Danny comes up behind Jessica and hugs her. "This is your second to last birthday surprise." Danny says

"Aw! I can't believe you are both here! Let me go change so we can catch up!" Jessica says hugging her dad.

"Actually Jessica, you need to get ready." Dorthy says sternly

"Hm?" Jessica turns around

"We are your personal babysitters tonight. You and Danny are going out." Dorthy and Albert walk in. Jessica turned to Danny and widened her eyes.

"I can't ask you to do that! You must be exhausted from traveling. They are extra fussy from teething... oh mom, dad!"

"Don't worry, we can do something tomorrow! Now go have fun with Danny. Hurry and get dressed!" Albert says loudly

"Alright, alright! I'll hurry!" Jessica giggles

Jessica did her makeup, curled her hair, and slipped into a maroon long-sleeve dress. Danny drove Jessica into the city to take her to a really nice steak-house. They walked in and got a table afterwards.

"You're just full of surprises, aren't you, Mr. Huston?" Jessica takes a sip of her red wine and smirks at Danny.

"Indeed, I just hope you are enjoying your birthday." He smiles, reaching for her hand over the table.

"I'm enjoying it so much. It's the best birthday yet. I got to spend it with my little family."

"I love our little family, I love you, I love everything." Jessica adds

"I just wanted to make it special... I have one last surprise, I promise." Danny chuckles. He pulls a long box out of his blazer.

"Danny!"

He hands her the box and she slowly unwraps it. It was from a jeweler. She looked at Danny but he motioned her to continue.

She slowly opens the box to see a necklace. The necklace was two golden rings locked together. Inside of each ring were the babies names. The left one had Scarlett's name and the other had Wyatt's.

Jessica immediately started to cry. Danny stood up from the table and put it on Jessica. She held the necklace to her chest and cried.

"Thank you! Thank you, so much!" She brings Danny to her level and holds his cheeks in her hands. She kisses him continuously and he chuckles.
