Jessica, Danny and the twins have been home from Minnesota for a few days. Jessica was able to set aside going back to work for a few days once they got home. Danny was not aloud to work for a few weeks. He wasn't aloud to do anything. Jessica had to do everything around the apartment. Danny got frustrated at times not being able to help Jessica around the apartment but he was able to help feed the babies and watch them while Jessica did things.

January 10th//

Once they were settled in back home Jessica had to go back to work for the first time in almost seven months. Jessica gradually got used to being away from the babies. The trip to Colorado was the biggest step. She was sad to leave them during the week but made sure that her work schedule would be flexible.

The night before she went back to work jessica was searching in her closet trying to find the perfect outfit to wear. she felt as if it was her first day.  Danny was reading a magazine on the bed but became distracted when he noticed Jessica pacing nervously. He set his readers on the bottom of his nose and put the magazine on the nightstand.

"Jess, why do you seem so nervous?" He says softly

Jessica throws her skirts on the floor and rubs her face. "Tomorrow is basically my first day. When I first started I barley did anything because I was so pregnant. Now I'm not... I've never really gotten the hang of working there either. So I have to re-learn everything! And the twins, gosh I'm going to miss them so much!" Jessica sits on the end of the bed with her head in her hands and her back facing Danny. He tries to move close to her but wasn't able to because his foot was propped up with ice.

"Jess, I really want to hug and kiss you... but since I'm a cripple I'm not really able too." He chuckles

Jessica shakes her head and laughs in her hands. She turns to Danny and crawls up next to him. She puts her head on his chest and he rubs her back and wraps his arms around her.

"You are so talented and smart. You'll do great and you know it. Everything will come back to you. Just keep your chin up and be confident." He says soothingly.

"Mhhh, I love when you give me pep talks. I love you!" Jessica rolls over onto her stomach and looks up at Danny with a smile on her face.

"... and don't forget the babysitter will be here all day tomorrow!" Jessica says

Danny throws his head back on the pillow and huffs.

"Hey! What was that for?" Jessica raises her eyebrows and sits up.

"Jess, we don't need a babysitter while I'm home all day! I'd hate that. I can watch them."

"Danny, you're a cripple." She giggles

"I walked around on the crutches today. I can put that baby carrier on me."

Jessica rolls her eyes and stares into Danny's eyes. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah! Cancel!"

"I don't know, Danny... you can't just sit on the couch with them all day. They'll need changes, it just doesn't sound like a good idea. Gina is great with them. Just let her come and help out."

"No, I can do it." Danny insist

"Ahh, fine! But if something happens I'll be pissed!"

The next morning Jessica woke up super early to take a shower and dress herself for her first day back. Once she was ready, as expected, the babies woke up to be fed. Jessica prepared their bottles then sat on the couch and fed them until Danny came in with his crutches. Jessica couldn't help but chuckle.

"Morning, beautiful!" He says falling into the couch.

Jessica taps his broken leg. "Prop it up! Prop it up at all times!" She says putting a pillow on the coffee table.

He nods then leans over for a kiss.

"Are you ready for today?" He says

"Yes! I'm nervous but ready. The question is... are you ready to be alone with them all day as a cripple?"

"Yeah, stop worrying! I see you have a set up for me." He says looking at all of the things the babies need, including diapers, bottles, binkies, toys, and etc.

"I did this just for you. And I left the baby carrier. As you know after their bottle they'll need a diaper change then they'll be out." Jessica sets Scarlett and Wyatt into their rockers then slides on her heels.

"What a beautiful workin' mama you are! Dang!" He says gazing at Jessica top to bottom.

"Oh shh!" She says lighting tapping him. She gives Danny a kiss then leans down to give the babies a kiss.

"Ahhh, I'll see you all soon! You two be good for daddy! I'll be home at lunch." Jessica stands up then fixes her hair.

"You'll do great baby! I love you!" Danny says

"I love you too! Now I have to go!"

Jessica's POV-

The work day went well for Jessica. She got settled into her new office, talked with a lot of her coworkers and got to get to know them, and got caught up with work. All of her nerves subsided. She felt great. All she worried about was Danny and the babies.

"Jessica, are you sure you had twins? My god you're stunning!" Mary walks into Jessica's office with a lunch bag and sits down.

"Oh, thank you Mary! Even though I only spent a little bit of time here before, it feels good to be working."

"We are glad to have you back. We actually have a big meeting after lunch. I hate to ask but when you run home please make sure you're back in time for the meeting. It's at one o'clock sharp." Mary says sternly but politely.

"Well do! Thanks again Mary!"

Danny's POV-

The babies had just woken up from another nap and Danny immediately became stressed. He had both babies in his arms. The babies screamed at the top of their lungs. Danny had to attempt making them a bottle with crutches since Jessica didn't pre-make any for him. When he set Scarlett down after she woke up she screamed even louder.

"Come on, Scarlett! Just a quick minute." She screams even more so Danny reaches for the carrier and straps it on his body. He puts Scarlett inside then tries his hardest to get up. Once he does he limps over to the kitchen. Scarlett had finally calmed down. Wyatt was still in his dock-a-tot on the couch, crying.

"I'll be right over, buddy!" He says from the kitchen. He sighs then continues to find the formula. As Danny reaches for formula he takes a wrong step and falls down. His crutches no longer supported him. He was now on the ground. Luckily he fell on his back instead of his front side where Scarlett was. After that moment it became complete chaos. Danny was unable to move from the pain. Scarlett and Wyatt screamed off the too of their lungs and Danny couldn't do anything.

Moments later Jessica comes walking in. Her first instinct was to look at the couch where Danny was suppose to be. She then saw Wyatt nearly about to fall off the couch. She throws her purse on the floor and dashes to him. She catches him in the nick of time. Jessica holds him to her chest to sooth him.

"Danny! Oh my god!" She yells seeing him on the floor with Scarlett strapped to his chest.

"I'm fine!"

"What the hell is going on? Did you fall! Oh my god, I knew leaving you with them wAs a horrible idea! Damn it, Danny!" She huffs unstrapping Scarlett and holding her in one arm.

"I was just trying to make her a bottle. I must have taken the wrong step." He tries to get up but Jessica stops him.

"You stay there. Let me set them down first." She says sternly

Jessica rolls her eyes in frustration then stands up. "Did you fall on Scarlett? She's still screaming! Did you know that Wyatt was about to fall off the couch! I can't believe you let me cancel the babysitter. Danny!" Jessica whines running into the living room the calm them down.

"No! I didn't she's okay.  I'm sorry jess, it was an accident. Things were going well at first."

"But then this happened! They could have both been seriously hurt, Daniel. And you too. You were being stubborn letting me leave you alone. You insisted and now look." Jessica walks back over to him and helps him up. Danny had hit his back really hard and needed even more help getting to the couch.

Once he was finally there he tried to reach for the babies in their rockers to calm them down but Jessica slapped his hand. "No! You lay down! I'll handle them!" She rushes back into the kitchen to make their bottles.

Danny was so upset with himself. He really thought he was helping Jessica out by watching the babies instead of a sitter. He obviously wasn't capable at the moment.

Jessica felt horrible for the way she yelled at Danny. She just reacted in a bad way from being so scared.

Once the bottles were done she fed both of the babies besides Danny who was laying down with a heating pad.

"Jess, I'm so sorry." He says looking over to over. She was typing on the phone trying to find a babysitter. Gina was busy now and wasn't able to come. That meant Jessica had to miss her important meeting that Mary wanted her to attended.

"Damn!" She sighs putting her phone away.

"I didn't think it would happen. I didn't mean for this. I was just trying to help."

"I know that Daniel. I just got scared. Wyatt nearly cracked his head open on these hardwood floors and you almost broke your back with Scarlett strapped onto your chest. If I didn't walk in at that moment something really bad could have happened... I'm just happy everyone's okay and content now." She looks at the babies who were quite as ever.

"I guess I'll have to take off for the rest of the day. Mary will be pissed but I can't leave you alone. Now you're in worse shape!"

"God, I'm so stupid!"

Jessica chuckles then shakes her head. "You know I still love you, right?" She smiles

"So you'll still marry me?"

"Of course, love! No matter how much of a dork you are..." she giggles

"Good!"

"Just to let you know. Gina will be here while you're home!"
